I would not recommend this auto body shop, and I especially would not recommend working with Kody. My car was brought in after an accident, and the damage was in the rear/trunk area. After the repair, the trunk was still visibly crooked and not sitting flush on one side. This was not some tiny detail you had to search for. It was noticeable to the naked eye. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of taking the concern seriously, Kody gave dismissive excuses and claimed it was not related to the accident, even though that is exactly where the impact/damage was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Rather than looking into it properly or trying to make it right, the response felt like they were hoping I would just accept an incomplete repair and go away. The entire experience was frustrating and disrespectful. When you bring your car to an auto body shop, you expect the work to be done correctly and for obvious issues to be addressed professionally. We brought our Tesla here through insurance after an accident, expecting a complete repair. At pickup, there were already quality issues: the hood paint didn't match the rest of the car, and there was still broken glass inside the vehicle. We didn't push it at the time because we had already been without the car for three weeks and couldn't afford more disruption. Shortly after, during the first rain, the windshield wiper failed right away. When we brought the car back, the manager immediately claimed it was "new damage" and refused responsibility--without checking their own intake photos. We had to stand there and search through our phone to find photos taken right after the accident. Those clearly showed the wiper was already severely damaged before the car was brought in. Only after seeing that evidence did they agree to replace it. This was something that should have been identified and repaired from the beginning--not something the customer should have to catch later or prove afterward. Instead, it turned into multiple trips, time off work, and days without being able to safely use the car in rainy conditions. The handling of the situation was just as concerning as the missed repair. Throughout all of this, the manager showed no real sense of responsibility or concern for the inconvenience caused. If this is how a manager handles customers, it says everything about the shop. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this shop. read more

I would caution anyone from using this repair facility . We have had our vehicle repaired there twice and both times there was an issue , but this last time was terrible . The repair took far longer than originally estimated which can happen due to unexpected additional parts needing to be replaced. But they don't communicate. You have to call them for updates and it was be things like " we needed another part , it should be here soon ". Like when were you going to tell me ?!? They have a fellow named Jessie in place as a manager and he has zero skills to manage anything . No common sense or problem solving skills . When my daughter picked up her car it started smoking and leaking oil . She called Jessie and he said " oh yeah it was smoking and there's some oil leaking " . Why would you let anyone drive off like that ?!? Mind you, my daughter was driving this car for 5 weeks after accident before taking it to the shop for repairs , and there were no mechanical issues - now there are and naturally they will not be accepting responsibility. We have had to report them to our insurance company and if enough people with the same experiences do the same, they will no longer be an approved repair shop . This is very unfortunate as they are just down the street from my house . Paramount was great . This place is awful read more

service was ok but communication wasn't great. office is not open on the weekend, and any calls after 5pm go to voicemail and are not answered until following business day (monday). was told my car would be left outside the garage and available for pickup over the weekend, however this was not the case and i wasted a trip to the shop and couldn't pickup the car. when i called to discuss the situation, customer service made excuses and told me it wasn't their normal process. invoice for bill was sent late, and info on bill wasn't explained well. overall experience was unsatisfactory. read more

I really liked paramount, and I decided to give this place a try after paramount was gone. Trip 1--I went in the office and got a quote for a minor repair and the time needed (30 min or so) and went ahead with the repair. I got a voice message saying the part was ready for install. Trip 2--I found some time and drove over to get my bumper replaced, and was told I needed ti --schedule an appointment and come back. Then I scheduled an appointment and went back, I was told the part came not painted and they needed to paint the bumper and also charge me more. I felt they should just honer their quote, however they refused to. I was told they would refund me $100 deposit I paid towards the part if I don't agree to the additional amount. Trip 3-I gave in and agreed to additional amount, then scheduled another time to go in and replace the bumper. I drove over today because I scratched from bumper against fire hydrant. I went to office and asked for someone to take a look and give me an estimate. The lady there kept on saying that they can only give me an eyeball estimate and for actual estimate I needed to make an appointment. I am thinking I just need someone to take a look and take down what needs to be done so I can get on my way. I agreed to an --eyeball estimate(whatever that is). Three pp sitting in the office right in front of me , and no one have a couple minutes to spare to look at my bumper. I guess they don't want my business. I have two toddlers at home and my time is really valuable. I can't be just and running around for nothing. Not sure how owner would think about this. It was obvious that I returned to give more business, not much customer service for even returning customers. I am taking my car elsewhere and will not return. read more

This was the second time I've gotten my Tesla repaired at Alioto, the first was at the SF shop which I had no problems with. We've since moved and decided to go to the peninsula location expecting the same service for a rear end collision. Everything up to the car pick up was fine, it took a couple months but that was due to delay for Tesla parts than the shop. We picked up our car and it looked great but upon getting it home, we noticed the interior had not been thoroughly cleaned and we found a layer of dust on the touchscreen. When I went to organize and close the trunk, I noticed the panel where your grip with your hand was loose and that was where the repair was. A week later, the car gave us an electrical prompt (1) that said the car would not operate properly. We scheduled an appointment with Tesla which would be 3 weeks out, they called us and told us to go in because this was an issue they needed to look at immediately. It turned out Alioto did not connect the battery correctly when they finished fixing the car. We ended up spending a few hours on a work day to get the car repaired by Tesla (2) which should've been done by Alioto. Luckily, Tesla promptly contacted us and helped us fix the problem. I ended up letting the shop know of the problems, with the battery issue being the final straw, the answer I received was that they are sorry, they can rewash the car and we have a lifetime warranty on our repairs. After visiting one of the other Tesla approved garages, and coming away with a very sour feeling (not friendly, excessive estimate pricing), we visited Shawn at Alioto's Garage in San Mateo (feels like Burlingame, really). The difference was a breath of fresh air: a friendly greeting, a thorough analysis of the damage, an open, easy, clean parking lot, and best yet, an estimate that was 2/3 the cost of the other garage. Shawn was attentive and optimistic, and the results matched his prognosis. After only 2 days! we had my Model 3 back in excellent shape. And they cleaned and waxed the car, and vacuumed out the interior. What a difference a good customer experience makes! I'm so glad we found Shawn and Alioto's! I knew that Paramount was no longer at this location, so I decided to pay a visit to Alioto's Garage to get an estimate on my vehicle. I went inside and saw someone sitting down on the right side as I entered the store, I wish I got his name. Stood there for a bit and the individual did not even acknowledge me until I ask, could I get an estimate on the damages on my car. Right away and very abruptly he said, "go online and make an appointment". Soon afterwards he just went onto his business like I was not even there not even inquiring if I had any questions or if I needed any further help. Obviously If I knew I had to schedule an appointment I would have done so. I have been attending this location for the past 20+ years and don't think I will be coming back anytime soon. read more

I had an older (2011) Cadillac worked on by Alioto's recently. They did a great job (Shawn is the office contact) on working with the insurance carrier. Documentation was all done online efficiently. Within a few days Alioto's and my insurance carrier agreed on the final estimate. Since it was an older vehicle and the carrier was adamant about locating a used door, it took some research but Shawn was able to locate one. The finished product was outstanding. They keep us appraised of activities throughout the process and finished work on the Caddy on the day they said they would. Great job!!!
