Unfortunately, I'm really unhappy with the paint job I received and just want people to be able to set expectations. I requested a quote for repair of a bunch of rock chips on the front fender of my car. We met, discussed the plan to fill in the chips with paint, and I understood it wasn't going to look perfect by any means, but seemed like the color would at least be a close match again. Literally 30 minutes later I got a call the job was done and came out to what looked like grayish White Out had been quickly dabbed onto each of the rock chips. I was kind of shocked at how it looked and asked what else could be done to which he basically replied "this color is really hard to match so I can sand/paint the whole front bumper, but it still won't match the rest of the car" so didn't really seem like a solution at all. A few things. I understand there are material costs of doing the job, but for 30 minutes of labor and a poor outcome I think $400 was nuts even though this was cheaper than other quotes. If the color of my car (stock Lexus pearl white) was too difficult to match, he could've just said so before putting paint on my car. Again, if the number of rock chips was too many to fix, I wish he would've just said that before beginning or after the first one. Lastly, I was just very annoyed with the offered "solution". Tony was a really nice guy and I do feel like I went into this with realistic expectations, but now my $60k car looks like it has grayish chicken pox all over the front and I'm pretty angry. Just want to leave this here so anyone else in a similar situation can take a look at the close-up and set appropriate expectations before proceeding. read more

On 11/26/24, Tony of Express Mobile Autobody Repair did a fantastic job fixing my many Prius dents and scratches! He also repainted all these areas, which most mobile dent repair companies won't do! Here are before and after photos of 2 of 7 areas he fixed: 1. Several long scratches on whole left side of car, both left front and back doors, plus left quarter panel. 2. Big dent/rust on right rear corner He also fixed scratches along my right door and on each of my car's 4 bumper corners, a total of 7 areas. Total time: only 2.5 hours!!! It's not perfect, but Tony does a very decent job and for a fair price. Let me explain. Priced Fair - Price was on the lower side. (quoted anywhere from $700-2300 on Yelp and Tony quoted $900) FAST - Tony came the day after I requested and the process took about 1.5 hours. Results - I can still see a crack and imperfections (see photos). Also some parts of my door has visible streaks, BUT this is still WAAY BETTER than what it used to be. You can't really see it if you are steps away! Quite amazing really. Negotiation - Once arrived, Tony mentioned my car has been repaired before and it'll take time to prep the area so he wanted another $200. Wow! Overall I'm impressed. Asked for a quote via Yelp. He was quick to respond, I was slow to get back so I picked up the phone at almost around 1 P.M. and called him. He came to my place at 2:30 P.M. and finished by 3:45 P.M. Mind you I have no driveway and he worked on the sidewalk. I mean the results so far look great, not manufacturer perfect but pretty good. And the savings are over a half less than I was quoted from traditional body shops and the time savings as well, as body shop downtime is 3-5 days. The only improvement that I'd suggest is protecting the car in other areas a bit more. Quite a bit of overspray and a tape/paper line in the middle of the door. 5 stars as I did get what I wanted, the damage not to be obvious, and the turnaround time was excellent. read more

I have a 2012 Toyota Prius and truthfully, I have not taken good care of it for the past 10 years. I recently got a huge scratch mark from hitting a stone pole and thought it's time to fix up my car from all the scratches and 1 rear bumper crack I had over the years. I asked Tony if he could fix 4 damages on my car: 3 scratches and 1 cracked rear bumper (which I tried to fix myself a long time ago and that was an epic fail). He charged me at a very affordable price which originally, if I went to any other autobody shop, would've cost me a fortune. Tony and his coworker came to my apartment (they were punctual and communicative which I greatly appreciated), parked outside, and completed the job on the same day (took them 3 hours to fix up my car). Very convenient and quick service. Tony and his coworker did an incredible job and exceeded my expectations. The damages he fixed on my car are almost invisible. I've gotten a few quotes from different autobody shops and they were charging me 2x-3x Tony charged me. In addition, the other autobody shops explained me why the price was high and they were mentioning to me: For the rear bumper (common solution) - How they would have to replace my rear bumper - Buy a new rear bumper for me - Re-paint my new rear bumper, For all my scratches - Take out parts of my car to re-paint - Take out other parts (which didn't even have sign of damage) of my car to complete the paint or something along the lines - Take out my car door lol??? Just a lot of additional work that I thought was unnecessary which makes the cost too expensive. I asked what if they fix 2/4 damages of my car and Tony still charged me much less and he completed 4/4 damages I requested to fix. I had scratches on my bumper and wheels for a while. I'm one of those people who doesn't try to get too concerned about cosmetic blemishes as long as the car is still structurally safe and sound, but given that my car is relatively new and otherwise looks great, the scratches started to bother me more and more. As such, I decided to look for a local, small-business detailer who did good work but was still fairly affordable, given how expensive this can get. I'm so glad I reached out to Tony. The bumpers look brand new; it's basically magic to me.
