I like it. Not the greatest trail I've ever been on but still lots of fun. Would recommend if you've never been

A cute little spot in San Clemente, this place embodies everything I imagine in a beach city gem…read more The Nachos are hefty in both portions and flavor. Everything worked well together, and omg that Cheese pull. What this place IS, IS because of the details. The setup, the décor, the AMAZING workers and how cheery and helpful they were... the cucumber/lemon water, the samples of yogurt while you wait, and the hot sauce options, all make for an enjoyable experience. Good food can be found anywhere, but when you pair that with an atmosphere that is both soothing, welcoming, and charming... you've got a home run. Oh speaking of details? WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE MUSIC? I don't know if it's like this everyday but the oldies playing ties everything together. Summers here have got to be magical that hit on beach city nostalgia. They've got alcohol. What? So you know we had to try what they had on draft. This Active Culture location is pretty popular too, because as I write this. People are pouring in, and door dashers are picking up. Winner. Winner. Fresh ingredient dinner.

It's healthy and quick which also makes it a good option to take out and eat at the beach directly. I'm so happy they finally added chicken as a protein option you can add on, but the star of the show had to go to the nachos and the orange creamsicle smoothie!! I'm not kidding when I say this, I'd take this smoothie over the erewhon's orange kinsicle smoothie.

They were more than happy to relieve me of my skateboard and longboard. I had a mortgage to pay. I did not want to risk a broken bone. Time to adult I thought. Five years later my awesome wife got not rollerblading. She wanted me to roll around with her while she practiced. I am not a roller skater nor a roller bladder. I used to be a skateboarder. I told her about Active. How when I was twelve, I used to scrounge up my change to buy bearings and wheels at Active while my mom, brother, and I washed our weekly laundry at the coin-laundry place next door. We live in Vista now. I wanted to check out the Active in Escondido; however, it has since closed. I try to spend local and checked out local skate shops but kept thinking about my old Active. I convinced my wife that we could go to Temecula and pop in for a bite at Old Town after to make it worth the drive. I felt like a kid again walking into Active in Temecula, same shopping center, but in the new location. I had the fortune of meeting Jackson. He is enthusiastic about skateboarding. I told him that this would be my last board, and for me, it was like buying a car. We talked about styles, boards, form versus function, etc. Jackson led me through each category and made me feel confident that I was selecting items that fit my riding style and personal style preferences. This is my favorite board that I have ever owned. The front cashier said my board was dope when ringing out. I already knew, but to hear the first person say it, made me grin from ear-to-ear. I hope Active comes back strong. I will try to spend my money there when I can to support the cause. The Return. Thank you Jackson, the woman in the front, and Active. I felt like a kid again. I made sure to cruise Old Town on my awesome new board to make sure the first ride was in Temecula. Where I grew up. Where I hung out at Active. Where I fell in love with skating. Thank you!

Ryan and his coaches are focused on every member, and the workouts are written so everyone can tailor the weight and movement to their body and skill. If I miss a day, I'm getting a text with "hey girl missed you in class today!" We go on hikes, beach workouts, bowling, and other social events. It's really amazing what Ryan had built.

Then I came across Crossfit and the workout completely blew me away. This was a workout that absolutely left me floored; panting and gasping for air and making me want more. Which, by the way, is why their "benchmark" workouts are all named after arbitrary women. Anything that leaves you breathless and flat on your back should have a woman's name. LOL. Loved that story. Anyway, Scott, Markus, and Cameron, the trainers here, are just awesome. They're great instructors who are focused on making sure you're doing the movements right and ensuring you don't inadvertently hurt yourself. They also do a great job of giving you that extra push when you feel like you're heart just might explode and the last thing you want to do is finish your workout. But above and beyond the trainers, the members are also great. Having a friendly group of people who are encouraging and supportive makes a huge difference when you're doing the kind of work you do at Crossfit. While the membership ain't cheap, you can't really put a price on health, right? I know that I'm addicted and I'll keep coming back for more of that glorious, glorious pain.
