Tom and Alive Scan are amazing! I needed to get my finger prints for a work background check. I have a really full class and work schedule and couldn't make it down until Friday evening, and I called ahead and Tom kept the store open until 6:15pm (after their closing time) so I could get my prints since it was the only time I could do it. I visited Alive Scan only once, however I see myself visiting many more times in the future! I went in as a walk-in with no appointment and there was no wait. I was assisted by Tom who was very helpful at explaining everything to me as I had several needs. Tom was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. This was my first time obtaining a national criminal background check from the FBI and notarizing documents. Tom was very patient with me while he quickly and efficiently got everything done for me. I've been here twice now and will continue to go back to Tom for my live scan fingerprints. I had a terrible experience in San Francisco at a post office offering live scan which resulted in poor quality prints and rejection from the FBI. I yelped Alive Scan and was able to get a same-day appointment, though walk-ins are accepted. Alive Scan took their time with getting my prints and re-did a few that looked like they might be rejected. In addition, I thought I was going to have to pay the 60$ again but Tom called the live scan number, and asked if I can re-do my prints at his location due to the poor quality rejection. He only charged the rolling fee and saved me about $60! Within a 72 hours, my licensing board called to say that the FBI approved the second set from Alive Scan. That's why I went back the second time! This is a great place to go if you need finger printing services. I needed a copy of my records fast. Most places will scan you finger and it will take months to get your results but I paid extra and got my results in six hours. The owner is very nice and very professional. There was no wait. My husband and I are preparing to go teach abroad in S. Korea since last year which means we needed to get our FBI background check done. Long story short, we got our set of prints done last year, but the FBI rejected my prints because the reading was too low :( I had been working on my moms farm so they completely wore down. Today when we visited Tom again, I explained the situation and he didn't charge me for the second set of prints!! Which is totally awesome and unexpected!
