Their introductory offer was really enticing - order one 5 gallon jug, get one free - including free delivery. All in all, I spent $7 for 10 gallons of water to be delivered, which was pretty rad. Things were fine until I noticed I was going through water faster than I thought I would, and I went into their website to see if I could increase the frequency of delivery. Outside of making an account with them online for delivery, their website is absolute garbage. It's clunky, misleading, and not user friendly in the slightest. I wasn't able to locate my account details, only the account history. Ergo, I called. The phone number connected to this place is a mobile device, which just screams SHADY. Also, the phone rings and rings and rings - they never answer. I resorted to texting them and asking them to confirm when my next delivery was. They told me in two weeks, and I requested details on increasing the frequency of delivery. Whoever was on the other end of the text message definitely needs a lesson in customer service. They wanted to charge my card before giving me details of costs. I'm really glad I clarified because delivery is $35 PER DELIVERY. jfc highway robbery. I told them to cancel my service and asked when they'd be picking up the bottles. And then I waited. And waited. And waited. A week went by, and I asked them what was going on. And then I waited some more. Finally, today, I got a response of "keep the bottles" (attached). The quality of the water was great, but so not worth dealing with their shady business and awful customer service. I ended up going to Sparklett's - waaaay better website, a much better customer service experience, and they're not charging an arm and a leg for water. If you need water delivery, go with Sparkletts - they're pretty fantastic. Avoid Alta at all costs. Ye be warned.

He is, without question, one of the best customer service representatives I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Steve is always friendly, professional, dependable, and genuinely kind. Every delivery is made with care, and he consistently goes above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. He always places my water as close to my front door as possible, carries it up the steps without hesitation, and has even helped bring the bottles inside when I've had difficulty carrying them. Those small acts of kindness make a huge difference and have never gone unnoticed. What stands out even more is how attentive he is. If I accidentally forget to leave my empty bottles outside, Steve has even taken the time to text me to make sure I wasn't in need of water before continuing on his route. That level of customer care is incredibly rare these days, and it speaks volumes about the type of employee and person he is. The reason I wanted to write this email is because I recently reported a leaking water bottle. My concern was simply to let the company know that some of the reusable bottles may be reaching the end of their lifespan after being reused many times. My concern was never about Steve. He simply delivered the bottle that was provided to him, and he did absolutely nothing wrong. I was genuinely saddened to hear that Steve may have been blamed or gotten into trouble because of my report. That was the exact opposite of what I intended. If anything, I wanted to bring attention to a product issue, not a personnel issue. Employees like Steve are hard to find. Worst company I have ever had to deal with. From the very beginning, it was a complete mess…read more I called to set up an appointment, and the guy never showed up. He finally came the next day, still late. I was told he would arrive between 2:30-3:00, but by 5:00 I had to call because I honestly thought he had forgotten. Then, only a week after I had received my water, I was notified they were coming the next day to deliver more. Hello? I JUST received the water a week ago! Obviously, I didn't need another delivery, so I canceled the service. Then they charged me a $7 service fee. I called to explain that I hadn't even received a pickup or delivery, and was basically told, "That's the fee we charge." And to make matters worse, after the first delivery, when I had already paid the delivery driver in cash, I received another call the next day asking for payment and saying someone would be there at noon. Seriously?! To top it all off, the representative I spoke with was rude and had a terrible attitude. When you're already frustrated with a company, the last thing you need is someone making the situation even worse. And honestly, the water wasn't even good! It tasted like nasty Vegas tap water. Definitely not what I expected. The communication is terrible, the scheduling is a disaster, the billing makes no sense, and the product wasn't worth it. I canceled my service today. Bye, Tahoe Springs! I definitely would NOT recommend this company. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!
