This is my second review on Kinetico which will rate their installation preparation, installation practices, clean-up, and customer service. I will also review how the installation team performed their after installation final overview of the system to include functionality, fail-safes, and operational maintenance. My installation team consisted of Ruben and Charlie. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, disciplined in installation practices. Once the introductions are done, they asked to be shown the desired location of the equipment. From that point on they are focused on the task at hand. Being a technician myself, the installation is where the pride of your work can be shown. Their installation was as clean, practical, and aesthetically pleasing. The installation is basically the signature of the technician and it was obvious there were great pride and practice at their craft. The complete installation was ready for demonstration prior to the approximated time by the sales representative. Any recommended deviation to what I had envisioned was gone over, explained, and approved before they proceeded. Preparation: All personal items that may get damaged or in the way of the installation was identified and was moved. Animals and children were identified and for example, the adhesive fumes were going to be strong, they recommended to keep them out of the area. Installation Practices: At no time did I notice clutter of debris or tools that could provide an unsafe environment for anyone. All chemicals had lids on if they were not in use and in clear sight of the technician. The use of materials was measured twice cut once, to eliminate costs and added to the great looking finished product. Clean-Up: This pretty much went unnoticed because there was never a cluster or items out of place. The containers equipment came in acted as their trash cans. Prior to showing the final product they were removed. Overall: Going over the final product it was obvious of the team's extensive knowledge of their craft. They went over all fail-safes that are in place to prevent water damage from occurring. My previous system did not have these features available. Thoughts of system bypass without loss of access to water were incorporated and explain thoroughly. read more

I suggest looking very critically at the positive reviews. Most are one-off's of people posting one review and no others, which is reflective of fake reviews. Not so of the negative reviews, which are far, far more accurate a reflection of this company and its products. My experience: Inherited this K5 top-of-their-line trash from a prior owner who must have believed Kinetico's lies about how their costly system is better because it is so costly. I learned that after the prior owner bought this 10 year warrantied trash from Kinetico directly (and even had the local Kinetico office do the install), Kinetico already had done one warranty repair (at $200 per visit service charge) to fix a bad product/install. Now 5 years into the 10 year warranty I needed yet ANOTHER $200 warranty repair visit.... only to find out that the sponge shut off 'safety' valve didn't work because the last Kinetico tech failed to remove its plastic cover. Upon my tech visit starting, he promptly disconnected a hose and flooded the bottom wood cabinet of the kitchen sink. Of course he had no towels to soak up the flood, I had to use paper towels, and now I have to deal with the water damage to the cabinet. I told him to remove the K5 system since it, and Kinetico, are unreliable garbage. He then told me it involves another service visit with another $200 service charge. I therefore asked him, as I had already prior asked the central Kinetico office, to use the filters I ALREADY HAD and replace the ones in the K5. INSTEAD, while I was out of the room, he installed HIS OWN set, so they will now try to charge a service visit AND for filters I didn't want. Nevada contractors board and BBB will be notified, but I suggest you avoid Kinetico products and the company. read more

Kinetico's water system has been extremely satisfactory. I purchased it because it requires less maintenance and because it does not raise my electric bill. The laundry comes out softer and brighter, and although the shower water does not feel as slippery as it did when there was a different water system in another home, it is softer water and that's fine. I also like the fact the system only regenerates when needed, which makes it more efficient all the way around. I was amazed to find that in a one-person household, there was no need to refill the salt pellets until over a year later. (I see that Kinetico now offers a system that needs NO salt. Wish I had that system!) With the K-5 reverse osmosis drinking water system, 18 months later it is still in no need of new filters, although it will soon. Drinking water tested at 14 ppm eighteen months later, which is well within the acceptable range. My experience with the salesman, Sergio, was not terrible, but not top-notch. He never returned to test the water, even when we had set up an appointment. (I don't believe he works for Kinetico anymore.) So I tested the water myself. It was Virginia who called me after a year to come test the water, and she was excellent. First, she kept her appointment. Second, she was very friendly. She is also very knowledgeable in the field of water treatment, having gone beyond what was required to work in the industry. She also gave me important advice about ice-makers and how to prevent them from burning out. I am more satisfied than ever that I chose Kinetico. read more

I had a system installed in September 2011, which included a 400 gal holding tank to store the purified (Reverse Osmosis) water. A pump then pumps it through the rest of the home. They installed a secondary RO system under the sink to purify the drinking water even further. The system has required very little maintenance, and when it has, Kinetico sent out competent people the day they committed.... typically Danny, the installer.... also a master plumber. I see alot of people nit-picking on this site about Kinetico's service, but they fail to mention that Kinetico's technology is vastly superior to ALL competitors, and their service people are capable of the most difficult installs and can do custom work when required. Kinetico and its people have delivered pristine, poison free water to my family and I for more than 3 years from every faucet in our home... and made it look easy. Any other supplier could not hold a candle to what Kinetico has provided for a very reasonable sum of money. Danny and the rest of their service department have taken very good care of me... Makes me wonder if some of these other reviews here about Kinetico were written by envious competitors who are languishing in defeat at the hands of superior product quality, innovation and service. If you are considering a whole-house purification system, ask the sale people about the one they did for me on Purple Majesty Court. After 3 years as a customer, I don't think it's possible to get better product quality or service than Kinetico provides. read more

We moved here from NJ and discovered that the drinking water in Las Vegas is not only horrible but could be harmful to our health. We interviewed 4 companies and after a very detailed presentation and question and answer session we decided to go with Kinetico. Kinetico was a bit more expensive but they seemed to be the most knowledgable and they spent almost two hours answering our questions. One condition that we had was that we wanted Shawn Johnson to do our installation. He has outstanding reviews on Yelp so he was the installer that we wanted. On 8/12/2016, Ian and Shawn arrived at our home on time. As Ian went to work under our sink to install the RO, Shawn went to work on installing the systems in the garage. Both men were there to work and both did an excellent job on their respective projects. When they were done they explained the entire system to us and they made sure that our home and garage was as clean as they found it. These two installers are the BEST! Kinetico management should seriously consider giving both of these men raises'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE - after Shawn and Ian left my wife was going to put her cleaning supplies away under the sink and what she finds is a puddle of water. I quickly called the company and they reached out to the installers. Even though they were done for the day they drove back to our home and fixed the leak. Shawn gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to call him later if we discovered another leak. There were no further leaks. I still give them 5 stars. read more

We made an appointment with Kinetco water systems to show us their available home filtration systems. Water Specialist, Randy Simpson arrived and gave us a step by step review/test of our water system. (We are on a well system.) Randy showed us the impurities within our water and showed us how their product line of available Water Softeners would improve the quality of our water. Randy was professional and thorough in his description of their system and how it removed impurities. Our system was installed by Thomas who did a great job removing our old system and replumbing the new one, explaining how our new system operated and installing a water spigot to use the water to wash our vehicles. He reiterated what Randy Simpson told us about the system. It's been about a month since the installation and we could not be more happier with it. The taste of our water has improved 1000%. Washing clothes and dishes requires less soap, which cuts down on our costs of supplies. Even taking a shower is a lot more enjoyable without my skin drying out. The Drinking water station truly helps with the taste of our drinking water and we are happy about that. Over all The Kinetico water system, Randy Simpson and Thomas were great to work with. I've dealt with companies of different sorts over the years, but I have to say that Kinetico home water systems company and their employees are the more professional and well trained people I've ever met. This is a great water softener and R/O. We had the same system in our home in Washington. I like the fact that there is no gap in soft water because of the two-tank system. There is no needless regeneration because it is based on gallons used. Mostly we liked the Kinetico system here because we needed it installed outside due to the way the water system is laid out in this home. An added bonus is that it doesn't require an electrical connection. The K5 R/O is a super fast producer of water and the quick flow tank puts out enough pressure to not dork up the icemaker on our refrigerator. Great tasting pure water, too. The installation crew did a good job with the complicated water system of our home. They were courteous and respectful and on time. It looks neat and tidy. We had a little sediment enter the lines where they opened the pipes to hook the system in, but they are making it right. After a week we decided that we wanted a different color R/O faucet and they came out and replaced it with no questions asked other than, "what color would you guys like?" Nancy, our sales person, came out a couple of weeks after the installation and verified the system was working properly. Nice! The system is worth the price. My drinking system leaked. It is getting older, so I wasn't shocked. What did shock me was Kinetico's response. I had less than one month left on my 10 year warranty (which I honestly didn't remember the warranty was 10 years). When I called, the lady in the office, I think her name is Janelle, walked me through how to turn it off, and then got the service manager on the phone with me. Jon looked up my account, and informed me since I was still under warranty, my parts would be covered and he could have somebody out in just a few days. He made sure I knew how to turn it off, and told me if I wasn't comfortable turning it off, he could have a tech stop by to ensure the system was shut down until my service call. I told him there was no need, but I did wonder what to do about the damage to the cabinet under my sink. Without hesitation, he informed me that the company would cover my damages since the equipment is still under warranty. These guys impressed me in a big way. I had no idea I even had warranty left, and they are fixing my equipment and repairing the damages for the measly cost of a service call. Now if the cable guys could just be so helpful. read more

We purchase our first home here in Nevada and one of our must have is a water softener and purifier. We purchased some water purifier through online and ended up returning it after Randy Simpson did his presentation. We kinda heard about kinetico as my in-law have the same in California but i wasnt really into it until we know more about it from Randy. He likes the interaction and answers all our questions and concern. My boyfriend who very meticulous was impress with his presentation, we like that he doesnt do sales talk just for us to purchase instead he lets the product justify the quantity and reasons to must have kinetico. Its a good investment specially for the new purchase home. Worth every penny as it added value to your home. The installer too was very professional and accommodating very patient on explaining everything he is doing. Signed up for a consultation via Home Depot. I knew going into it that Kinetico is expensive, but it worked out really well in the end, primarily due to the awesome rep that came to the house. Mark Roggero showed up on time; very polite and courteous. He ran through the entire demonstration and answered all my questions. Gotta give kudos to Kinetico for developing the sales strategy. I'm usually pretty frugal (cheap!?) when it comes to these things, and even I was tempted to spend the dough to get the expensive unit. But it was just too much! Luckily, Mark also offered their non-Kinetico brand units and that fit our budget perfectly. He was very nice about it too....no hard selling or anything like that. Scheduled the installation for the following Friday. The guys came on time and it was done within an hour or so...two max. We got the softener system as well as the under-sink reverse osmosis. So far, the units are working well. I might post another update after we use it for awhile. Good experience. read more

Recently I moved from the northwest where I was accustomed to consuming treated city water (soft water) to Southern Nevada a region with hard water. My refrigerator in the northwest and in Southern Nevada were both equip with a water filter which was sufficient for me to enjoy delicious tasting water in the northwest. However, in Southern Nevada it was not enough to improve the taste and quality of the hard water, there was a noticeable amount of dissolved minerals in the water and the taste was horrible. I sat through presentations from two other water filtration companies before I decided on Kinetico water system and Reverse Osmosis system (R.O.) The salesperson Randy Simpson was great as well as the installation team. Now, I have drinkable water from my refrigerator and my R.O system. Thanks to Randy, I've said good-bye to hard water and all the problems it creates with the pipes, appliances and faucets. My wife and I just bought our first home and wanted to install a water softener and filter system first thing. We contacted 3 different companies that we felt had the best product to come to the house and pitch us. The first appointment was Kinetico and it was the last. Nancy Healy came to my house and was one of the most professional, well mannered, friendly and knowledgeable sales people i have ever met. I want to also make a comment about their financing department especially Cristina Paniagua. She was so helpful and proactive with calls, emails, and friendly manner I felt totally at ease with the whole financing option. I manage a car sales lot with over 15 sales and service people and I was blown away by Nancy and her product. We have been using the system for about 8 days now and "LOVE IT"!!!! My dad just had water softener put in his house, we first contacted culligan the salesman came out told us it was 550 to put in the line to the house and the water softener was 59.99 a month for the 3 of us. We then call Kinetico It was the smartest thing we have ever done. The salesman that came out was professional and informed us about the two types of water softer we could get. My dad purchased the electric unit he owns it and there is no monthly fee. The install price was well lower than the 560 that culligan quoted us. The men came out and did an awesome job very neatly done and so mess afterwards. We have had softer water for about 2 days now and I can already tell the difference you get that silky feeling when you wash your hands. I would highly recommend Kinetico I like the face that they send my Dad a email with the picture of the men that were coming to the house so we would know who to expect being a senior citizen that is very safe for them read more

We purchased a house in Summerlin after moving to Las Vegas. We researched a few options for soft water and water purification, and we set up an appointment to meet with Randy. I had read that I should be prepared for the hard sell, but it was not that at all. Randy was super friendly. He tested our water and explained the results. Not being Vegas locals, we didn't really understand what the deal with the water was, but he provided us with all the information we needed, along with what options Kinetico had to offer. After signing up, the Kinetico team was super prompt with the installation. We've been using the system for the past two months, with no problems at all. We were literally going through 5 or 6 cases of water a month, and we've barely used any since. They are not cheap, like their competition, but they are honest, fair, and offer a great product. We couldn't be happier now that we have a Kinetico system in the house. Highly recommend!! read more
