I'm not thrilled with this place at all. I had to take my kitten here to get spayed, per the adoption agency's instructions. When dropping off you stood in line for about 20 minutes, there were about 50 people there dropping off cats and dogs. They had my just sit my kitten in her carrier along the wall with about 15 other kittens along a wall to just wait for someone to come get them. Next morning I picked her up, I was told everything went well and she was fine, when I got her out of the carrier she had a fever and was extremely hot to the touch. I have no faith you can perform that many spays/neuters in a day and still give each animal the attention they need and deserve. I will never go back here again. read more

This place is the place to go for affordable vaccinations. My husband and I have struggled with money some over the last few years and this place really makes it easy to keep up to date on all vaccinations and medications at a very reasonable cost. It is easy to walk out everything you need for the year shots and medication for around $100 where at some other vets you could be looking at 3 times the cost of here. The wait can be on the long side and it is not the nicest waiting room ever but it is clean and I am so thankful they are here to make it easier and affordable to take care of your pets. We also got our older dog's teeth cleaned for only $100 and it really helped us be able to afford getting her this care. This is the absolute place to go if you are taking care of an animal on a budget. read more

Excellent service to our community and for vet care. Dropped off Max at the flint petco one morning and got him back the next morning. Great price to neuter him and nails trimmed plus his heartworm and flea pill. This is such a great deed that these folks are doing to give veterinarian care to people that cannot normally afford it. They genuinely love the animals and what they do and it shows. I cannot recommend this place enough and I hope that one day I can donate to them somehow for what they did for my rescue dog. I took my dog here to get fixed. It was my first time using their services. The staff was very nice. The process of registration was easily visible and easy to follow and pretty helpful since I hadn't been there and didn't know where to go. They were also really helpful when my dog locked herself in my running car with my keys and phone. They said it happens more then you'd think and one of the staff let me use her phone after she told me to just call the police. I think the surgery went well and I would use them again. read more

The vets at the Auburn Hills location were great. I've been having some issues with my cat having hot spots, and they have been able to take care of him at a great price. This is a great clinic to go to for basic vet care, but you'll need to take your animals somewhere else if they require bloodwork/skin scrapes/more advanced care. read more

I needed to get vac records for a new apt and the price, $30, was a great deal. My dog is a therapy dog so I have issue with him not being with me so when the assistant said she needed to take him to another room I said that he was my therapy dog and felt more comfortable being with him. Right away the attitude started. She gave me a dirty look and then whispered to someone in the next room and gave me the look again and said ok. After doing the blood draw the vet comes in, and is colder than a penguin on an ice burg. No, hi how are you, nothing. Just coldness. Then after doing his shots she looks me dead in the eye and says my dog is fat. Mind you, this vet could stand to loose 15-20 lbs herself. The only good thing I can say is the price was right. Otherwise find yourself a more compassionate vet office. read more

I have been to the Warren facility, but mainly go to the Auburn Hills site since I usually need Saturdays to bring my animals in. I can say the same for both places, clean, friendly, efficient, helpful and very good at what they do. My dogs hate their nails trimmed, the dogs fight/squirm and scream! All About Animals can get their nails trimmed with minimal fussing. One of my dogs HATES shots, they give him his shots. It takes a while and sometimes its not pretty, but they are patient and gentle (but a good strong hold is sometimes needed). They never roll their eyes at me, or make me feel uncomfortable for having a sissy dog. They understand that some dogs come from situations that may make a dog fearful of certain things. They just seem happy that you're taking the time to take care of your pet. read more

What a god send! Thank you AAAR, Warren. From reception to vet tech to doctor to billing -everyone was fabulous and welcoming. Patients weren't made to feel like they were nuisances bothering staff with questions. The doctor (not a vet tech) actually have my dog 4vaccines and answered other quick non-related questions. He was personable and helpful. Even the patients chatted among each other. The wait was short (about30 minutes) and there were enough seats and a large enough space for people and dogs to wait. Can't thank you enough, guys! -- For Auburn Only (2-stars) This is my view of the Auburn location which I visited the next day: If you have a choice to go to the Warren location as opposed to the Auburn Hills location, do it! Every positive thing I wrote about Warren DOEs NOT apply to All About Animals in Auburn Hills. The check in staff and vet techs at AH are grumpy, rude and dismissive. My wait was over 2.5hours and counting and when I finally got called back, a rude tech (named Latina) snapped at and spoke down to me as if I was not a paying client. Her body language was so horrible another client got out of her seat, walked across the room and asked me if I was being treated badly too. One brownish haired receptionist with braids barked instructions throughout the wait without bothering to look up from her clipboards and make eye contact. Horrible people. This is all too bad because the actual Vet is caring with good bedside manners, similar to the Warren doctor. Too bad she has front end staff who give the place a bad look and make it look like a paper mill. read more

Called the night before stopping for refill on Heartgard and was told it would be ready and waiting. I left work EARLY to pick them up to be told I had to schedule an appointment to have them tested because it had been over a year and they test every year! Bulls**t! They have never tested my dogs every year! They just want $$$$$! When I asked why no one bothered to tell me I was told the guy who answered the phone really didn't know what he was doing. Comforting as I trust my 3 dogs to your care. There wait times for appointments sucks, make sure you have a few hours if you dare go there. Oh and the also did a procedure on my dogs without permission! Never again! read more

Brought my puppy in everything went well the first day, second day her stitching had opened up and was bleeding everywhere. First they tried to blame us for letting her run around. Trust me as drugged up as she was there was no running around let alone walking. Then after my husband rushes her to the actualy facility an hour away from us, they try to say they have to charge us full price to restitch her up. After my husband screaming at them we only had to pay for all the antibiotics she needed after. Now my Aunt takes her cat there and got an infection and died a few days later. I do NOT recommend them. YEs they are the cheaper route but for what, not worth my dogs life!!!!!!! read more

There was a special going on, 'if you mention the website' , you get the spay for 20.00 ..OMG the best...They were all fine, and I like that you can actually drop them off in the morning during the summer, and pick them up later in the day, same day. read more

It took weeks to secure a time to meet with the animals we wanted to grow our family with, and then, not all our selections were brought to the meet. We were not ALLOWED to adopt four, it had to be one. How sad for the animals. Finally we were ALLOWED 2 animals, weeks apart, with a maybe for the other two we were in love with. Then under false pretense of coming in to the center for booster shots ( boosters our private veterinarian said they did not need), the two animals were taken away from us. A contractual disagreement!? Ask the animals what they think of contracts. Part of the latter stealth operation of taking them away was due to having invited the staff to our home to visit our new family. They surmised the animals were afraid, they were correct, of them; of being taken away again. Animals have memory. After they left, my husband and I had our calm, peaceful, relieved, furry kids on our laps. Now they are back in the system. I pray they are not thinking they weren't loved or wanted, because they were, and deeply missed. The damage is irrevocable and completely unnecessary. The staffs perceived heroism, I am sure, has them all puffed up with codependent endorphins, meantime the animals, and a family, suffer a great loss, needlessly. It is not 'All About Animals'. read more

This place is normally 100% great and for the most part they still are but I recently took my dog in to be neutered and I asked them to trim his nails, but they trimmed them way to short on all four paws. There were two to three toes on each paw that were bleeding. I might not have been so upset if he was uncontrollable but he was drugged up from they surgery so there should have been no reason for the terrible nail trim. read more

This place killed my beloved dog's 4 unborn pups after I had expressed that I did not want anything done to her that could harm her or her pregnancy! Today I took my dog here to be spayed, microchipped, and to get shots. Upon arrival I expressed REPEATEDLY my concern that my dog may be pregnant (something we just began to suspect the day before). Having no animal medical knowledge, I asked the employee there several different ways if it was safe for my dog and her pregnancy (if she was indeed pregnant) to be spayed . I was assured by her each time that it was not unsafe and I was told I could find out if she is pregnant when i picked her up at the end of the day. I went as far as noting my concern for the safety of my dog and her possible unborn pups on the paperwork I filled out and I even pushed to have the girl ask the vet look at her in regards to possible pregnancy right away before I left her there that morning. She said that he may be able to feel the pups if she is pregnant, but even if she is that he may not feel them. She agreed to ask the vet to feel her abdomen for puppies. She brought my dog back to the vet and returned saying, "he didnt feel anything but you can find out if she's pregnant when you pick her up." I was assured they would have an answer when I picked her up at 5pm because, she said, "When they go in to do the spay they can tell." Well, at 5pm i got an answer... But not exactly either of the answers I had expected. After pushing for the information, i was told, very coldly, that my dog "WAS pregnant with 4 fetuses" but they were aborted during the surgery and that fetuses can not survive a spay - A FACT THAT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF PRIOR TO SURGERY. I most certainly would NOT HAVE SPAYED HER AT THAT TIME IF I HAD BEEN MADE AWARE THAT HER BABIES WOULD DIE!!! When i spoke to a worker about it I was told the information is written in the tiny fine disclaimer print on the back of my paperwork, however that was a complete LIE. That information is NOT on any of the paperwork, but even if it was I should have been given proper information when I asked...I left little to be misunderstood asking REPEATEDLY, "So if she is pregnant can she be spayed and it won't hurt anything?" To which i was told "no it will be fine. They still do them." Furthermore, even if this girl was not well trained and somehow did not know this vital information, HOW DID THE VET MISS MY VERY VISIBLE NOTE TO "PLEASE CHECK FOR PREGNANCY"??!!! My 21 year old daughter, who had been waiting in the car, went inside to further address what had happened. The person she spoke to had a HORRIBLE ATTITUDE and was completely unprofessional, especially considering the delicate situation (and the tears rolling down my daughter's cheeks as she walked in.) I am just sick about this. Unfortunately I can not get the lives of those puppies back, but hopefully I can warn others so no family ever has to grieve like we are. Tonight myself, my husband, my four children, and my dog are mourning the murder of 4 defenseless puppies. read more

This was one awful experience. I would never take another pet of mine there nor would I recommend. My dog contracted kennel cough in her brief stay. I question how clean the van/holding area was. She came down with the chills and cough two days after her surgery. Our other dog caught it a few days later. Needing to rush her to the vet when the chills set in cost me as much as it would have to go to my vet. The incision looks terrible and took weeks to heal. My best advise is to stay clear. There are vets out there that are reasonably priced! read more

Just got back from my visit to AAA. This review is for the veterinary clinic only. The good: The waiting room is big, which is good because it's mostly filled with dog reactive pit bulls. They are fairly efficient, my wait was about half an hour, there were probably 4 people ahead of me when I got there. The bad: I went in for a dental consultation for 3 pets. Their website gives the dental price and the additional price for extractions. Knowing that all 3 will definitely need extractions, I think, "cool, this sounds like a good deal." After examining all of them, and telling me that they have a lot of tartar buildup (duh!), will need multiple extractions (knew that!) and are not "spring chickens" (ya think?), the flustered vet refers me back to my regular veterinarian. Umm, if I could afford dentals at my regular vet, do you think I'd be here risking my pet's lives at the hands of owners who are barely able to control their gigantic, intact pit bulls? So, I understand that they are a sterilization-focused group, kudos for that! But if you will only perform dental cleanings on young pets with good teeth, then why bother offering this service at all? read more

Had my then 9 month old dog neutered at this facility. Money was a bit tight and our regular vet quoted me a total price that was triple the cost of AAA ($80 as opposed to over $300). I work in the pet care industry and many of my colleagues and friends had used this facility in the past. Made the appointment and had to have my boy wait in the car while I registered him. Not a problem, somewhat of wait but nothing too serious. Came back to pick him up and waited again--not horrible but terribly unorganized with people waiting for their dogs in an open area. Probably would have preferred a more private return area. Came time for my boy and was called back to the recovery area--my boy was labeled "aggressive" and I had to retrieve him from the small (rolling) cage. He's a big boy and was obviously uncomfortable in the small(ish) cage. Ok, got him, no problem but the techs were standing around acting like my dog was a vicious killer waiting to pounce. Seriously? Get out of my way and stop crowding him. All in all, I certainly recommend this place if you are cash strapped and need a low cost option but, if I had had the money I would have preferred my own vet where it would have been a bit more of a "friendlier" and "gentler" experience for both myself and my boy. read more

I to the AAAR Warren location. This was my first visit there. My dog had previously been diagnose to be a borderline diabetic. The Vet wanted to run a complete diagnosis of many possible problems. I went there on 3/15/18, the doctor said that the test results would be available the next day and to call if he did not. I tried to reach the office for three days (omitting Sun & Mon when closed). I was disconnected twice and again told the Vet will call. I still haven't heard from Vet. I took my dog to another Vet and is now so sick he has to stay with the Vet. I am now facing a +270.00 bill on top of the 165.00 I paid these sorry #*%%. If I were you, I wouldn't take an alley rat to them for care. They may drop the ball again. read more

Took my flying bison (white Maltese) Appa, here yesterday. The staff was pleasant and made sure to pronounce Appa's name correctly--one girl even recognized that her name came from the show Avatar: The Last Airbender, so we shared geek moment! The wait was approximately 10 minutes. Dogs had to be on a very short leash--which is understandable for health and safety reasons, but still sad because I still haven't found a nearby dog park for Appa to run and sniff butts for free. We were put into a room and this room was covered in black dog hair, which will probably which will be a huge turn-off for any level of germaphobe. But if you sit in a chair, and imagine all good things, all will be well! The doc came in, administered the rabies shot---a quick, one two, and we were on our way out! I really like this place because they don't try and pressure you into unnecessary things that you didn't come into the office for. In New York, you'd come in for a $20 dollar vaccination, and come out with a 600 dollar x-ray set because the doc thinks your dog has a weird cough, heartworm tests, a dental appointment (for slight yellowing teeth), and unnecessary boosters (even if you insisted your dog had them six months ago). You don't have to worry about that here--they're a pleasant rescue here! read more

This place is great I spent more than a year searching high and low for a reputable place to take my chihuahua to get her teeth cleaned at a decent price. A few people on Yelp recommended All About Animals to me so I decided to take her here. When I first arrived the entire process was a little overwhelming due to the size of the place and the amount of people checking in but everyone I dealt with here was extremely professional & very friendly. My dog had her teeth cleaned, she had numerous shots, & a heartworm test plus six months worth of heartworm preventative all for less than what our regular vet wanted to charge just for her teeth. This place is more than a half hour from my house so I don't think I'll be bringing my dog here for run of the mill routine stuff but anytime she needs her teeth cleaned or numerous things taken care of at once I will definitely be back here. When I arrived to pick my dog up, due to the fact that she's not very friendly I had to go in back to get her out of the cage and the place was very clean, all the dogs seemed very well cared for & I would highly recommend this place to anybody. read more

At my recent visit, the veterinarian who saw my pet was extremely rude and dismissive, despite me being entirely courteous and understanding. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, but it definitely ruined my visit and opinion of this place. I asked a simple question regarding her recommendation for a routine preventative medication, she acted annoyed and left the room mumbling about checking on it. I sat in the room for another 15 mins before hearing my name called out front. I waited another 5 mins in the entry way, and when I saw her and gently asked if she had the prescription, she hostilely told me that the front desk would help me. Of course the registrars are not veterinarians and thus were not able to help me, so I just left without an answer or prescription. I do like that they are upfront and transparent about their prices, and if waiting 2 hours for a 2 min vet visit is worth it to you, then this place is an option. But from what I've seen, you get what you pay for, and I will not be returning. read more

A vet recommended All About Animals to me when my cat needed surgery and I couldn't afford it. They got her in that same day even though they were very busy. They explained everything to me without me having to ask. Every single person I had contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and obviously committed to their jobs. They treated my cat very gently and kindly. They called me not long after I left to let me know things were worse for my cat than anticipated and that I had a difficult decision to make. They gave me the time I needed in spite of how busy they were to make my decision. They were sympathetic without being smarmy. I wish I could remember the name of the surgical assistant I dealt with - could be Leon. He was great, and I'm sure that he's not getting paid anywhere near enough. They are not a full-service veterinary office, but I would recommend AAA to anyone needing basic services for their pets, and I highly encourage anyone who has the means to send All About Animals a donation. Also, when you take your pet in, there a box on the form you need to fill out that you can check if you'd like to add $1.00 to your bill to help pay for others who can't afford to care for their pets. I was given the wrong information by the staff and still charged $25 and told to come back a different day. Dawn was extremely emotional and rude to me on the phone when I questioned my bill. She actually told me to never return there. I asked to speak to her boss Renee and she never returned my call. Oh yeah and I was just told my cat is sick and needs treatment. That didn't stop this staff from tearing me down about me questioning a bill when I was told to come back. My cat could have already been treated a week ago but this establishment gave me the wrong information. Terrible customer service. read more

I recently took my 11lb toy poodle in to get his teeth cleaned. I was very nervous at first because it was my first time, but after walking into the facility it really put my mind at ease. Everyone was very professional & friendly, the environment was clean & calm, and it was well organized. The assistant that came to take my dog was also very gentle with him because he gets nervous around new people. During the day they took the time to call me to let me know his update.
