Walked in to a filthy dankly lit hall way that smells like wild cats and dog poop. My appointment was at 8 and seems so was everyone elses's. A group if people sitting at desks seemed so unhappy that you were bothering them. The workers wearing coats and lost in their own conversations could really care less about you. Came back later to pick my dog up and they were rude and short with me rushing me out and I forgot my questions. My dog smelled like pee and I appreciate the cost the staff really need to be nice and the place is scary dirty

This is the largest non-emergency, non-profit veterinary care in the United States. Yes, it is very busy, but worth the wait. Their mission is to service many animals with basic yearly vaccinations and monthly preventatives as well as what typically is an expensive procedure of spaying/neutering. Often there may be a six month waiting period for this service. They do work with feral cats for TNR. Some say they are too rushed, but they are after all trying their best to keep costs down to a manageable amount. Kroger has a community give back program for nonprofits. I donate to them.

Sonny is a happy boy! Thank you AAAR!!

I've been going to AAAR for years and they are always so very welcoming and accommodating for me and my pets. The service and price is well worth the wait for the spay /neuter . On top of the lowest cost prices for vaccines around. The place is always a full house and as long as you pack your patience with the high volume they get. You and your pet will be left with a more than satisfying experience.

Snooki after her first wellness visit! AAAR was Great

Ask the Community - All About Animals Rescue

Are they doing spays/neuters at the Warren location? Their message says they are not.

Yes they have been for quite a while now at the Warren and Flint locations.

Can I have my puppies dew claws removed or cut down well she is in there being spayed?

Hi Janice! Dew claw removal is not something that is normally done on pups at All About Animals. The only exception would be if the dew claw is essentially connected by a single tendon making it a high-risk for ripping off, and that the surgeon(s)…

What a fantastic Veterinary practice. Dr. Mike is…read moreabsolutely awesome. He is knowledgeable, kind and considerate. The entire staff is friendly and very helpful. My questions get answered, my dog gets great care and she just loves Dr. Mike. Recently they squeezed us in on a busy Saturday and took care of a sudden ailment with my dog. Everything went so well. I highly recommend this veterinary practice!

Do not be fooled by the SEO reviews. My experience with Dr. Kemp was horrible. I took my cat to see…read morethe vet, she was taken inside (they do not see pets in the same room with the owner like in normal vet practice) was returned after 2 minutes with an excuse that my cat is hissy and would not come out from the carrier. I offered to take her out so Dr. Kemp could examine her but that woman (dr.) declined and clearly had no interest in continuing the visit as if I am not welcomed. She seemed eager to end this session ASAP. Prior to taking my cat in I discussed my concerns over the phone with the vet tech and also mentioned I am looking to get flea treatment as a preventative measure they seemed excited about it thinking I will buy from them, but as soon as I mentioned to Dr. Kemp that I want a written prescription so I can get it from chewy as I have a coupon, her tone shifted. Finally after 2 minutes of talk, she said she will get me the prescription for gabapentin and revolution and disappeared for 25 minutes, just so she could drag out the visit and collect her fee for no service provided. I could hear her chit chatting with the staff. Then finally the vet tech came with gabapentin med, and told the front desk that the woman (dr.) would not prescribe Revolution because my cat had not been weighed, even though I had already offered to take her out for an exam and they had every chance to weigh her. They wanted me to come in again for follow up appointment while still charging me for no service. Total time with the doctor was 2 minutes. I am a seasoned cat rescuer and a foster parent with a fair share of problematic cats and vets. This is the worst form of greed and incompetency I have ever experienced. Edit: the cat carrier had 3 zipped sides that completely opens, if they really wanted to get her out they could have done so but they did not choose to.
