From start to finish, which was very short lived, they were rude, delayed, and disorganized. I tried to set up an appointment via their online booking form. It took them 2 days to get back to me. No worries, I understand, they are busy. The woman finally gets back to me at 5 :30 p.m. on the weekend of Xmas. I respond with a confirmation first thing Monday morning and she notifies me that someone else has my appointment time already. So apparently, they give out the same appointment time to many people and it's first come first serve. This is where is all goes down hill. I let her know I think this practice is unprofessional and tell her that that 9 a.m. (one of the other appt times she offered) will work. No response. Nothing, nodda, zip. Day of appointment: Door bell rings 30 min early and it's some guy (who knows what his name is because he never introduces himself). We inform him that he is early and we aren't ready yet. He tells us that our appointment is for 8:30 (nope, it's 9) and then tells us that he has other appointments and can't accommodate our time. Then, he looks through his phone for the email chain and sees that it's actually set for 9 a.m. because he backtracks and finally says that he can do 8:45 a.m. Fine, I'm not happy about all of this, but fine. Through all this he never apologizes. He rolls back up at 8:55 a.m. and when I answer the door, I explain to him that I'm confused by the mixup and let him know about the email exchange with the lady behind the email. He says, "Well, I'm here now so we can move on". Um, no, we can't. This is just getting worse and worse by the second and I tell him so. He comes in and as I'm letting him know that I'm upset by their unprofessional behavior and disorganization, he just stares at me. Doesn't say a word. At this point, I'm fed up and tell him an apology would appropriate. He then starts blaming ME for their unprofessionalism and horrible customer service saying that I took too long to get back to them in the first place. At this point, I told him to leave and escorted him out. I have no idea if this was Mike, the owner, or not, but this was one of the most appalling customer service experiences I've had in a long, long time. This was NOT 5 star service as suggested by the other reviews on here. I guess, your mileage may vary with these guys? So, I'll be using another company to make my spare bedroom into a walk-in closet. In response to Mike's rebuttal, I wish he would have apologized for any of the mix ups at any point, however, he never did. Despite his completely inaccurate account of the story, much of which I have emails to prove. If he finds it insulting to know that I found the email exchange and early arrival to be rude and unprofessional (the "insults" spoken to him), then so be it. Hopefully he will learn from his mistake and provide more professional service to his future clients. And yes, I am the one that booked the appointment, and emailed with him the entire time. My fiancé opened the door.

Even though I'd used the other company in my last home and was satisfied, I went with Mike because he was a lot more responsive and his quote was more competitive. I couldn't be happier with that decision! Mike went way above and beyond my expectations. Our closets are tricky - very old house that has been rehabbed, but still with difficult closets. Mike assured me it was no problem for him to give us great solutions. He even discussed some of the construction aspects of my home showing an understanding for why the closets are the way they are in contrast to the other guy who complained about the 'developer.' The icing on the cake, though, was after Mike beautifully completed the job, I had a handyman over to change the door from inward to outward swinging. He completely wrecked one side of the closet! I called Mike to ask about how I could fix it and at NO CHARGE he offered to come out to replace the broken part!! He came within a week and fixed the botched panel in less than 10 minutes in a courteous and professional manner. That is way above and beyond the call of duty. I would absolutely recommend Mike to anyone. Having organized closets is life changing and Mike is such a pleasure to work with, from start to finish to fixing other people's mistakes :)

I am speaking from my experience and this is definitely not a custom-made closet. The material was…read morepre-made and they made it custom fit as close as possible to the size of my closet or the designer who came out definitely miss measured my closet. When I hear custom made, I would expect my design to go wall to wall and floor to ceiling and utilize every inch of my closet space or as close as possible. This definitely did not come close. I have an 8" gap at the top of the ceiling of my closet that allows dust to be collect up there. That really is a waste of good closet space. That could have been used for shelf space. These closets pieces are pre-made. There is no way you can possibly short me 8 inches on a closet when that much space could have been used for the shelves. I feel like I've lost so much space. I was against having someone come in and close off that 8-in space but I'm going to have no choice because I can't really use it for anything and all it's doing is collecting dust and it's hard for me to get up there to dust it off. That is just a dumb move to leave all that dead space up there and I would like an explanation of why that space was not used for my closet . Then there is a 1" gap on the right side of one closet that could have been used up for additional length for the closet and a 1 1/2" gap in the other closet. That's what makes me suspect that this isn't a custom closet but rather an already just pre-made closet material that's just laying around the warehouse that they just had that was as close as possible to the space that fit my closet. Why wouldn't you utilize all of the space in my closet wall to wall? That one inch gap that you left, I had to have someone come in to close up that one inch gap so the shelves would no longer collapse in the closet. Someone had to basically put shims in between the gaps of both closets for the shelves to stop pulling away and collapsing as you can see in the pics. Those metal pegs are not secured to anything so those over time on the right side just weakened and the shelves collapse. The shims had to be put up against your custom-made closet to secure it and hold it together so it would not collapse again. That's pretty sad for something that cost me a couple thousand dollars. This was not a nice experience. Your installer was late, your cranky old lady who answered the phone was rude when I called and then she claimed that someone had called me and said your installer was going to be late and nobody had ever called me. At another point I had spoke to someone and I believe his name was Ed, I spoke to him about a situation with those little metal pegs that don't hold those shelves in place and he told me I'm sure you can figure something out so they don't slide off. Nothing about your company is professional at all. And I would just suggest that everyone goes to California Closets because I have dealt with them after I dealt with your company and everything about that company was wonderful and I did not have a single issue with the closet that they installed. I am just sorry that I did not start with them because I would have saved myself a headache.
