Long overdue review for great design, solid craftsmanship, and great customer service! I had Philip design 2 walk-in closets (coat closet/guest room). I had Elfa in installed in the primary closet many years before this, but for both form and function, these closets were easier to adjust and looked nicer in my opinion. The price point was also so solid, no premium pricing for a brand name. Almost 8 years later, my condo flooded and the units were damaged. Philip provided a prompt estimate to replace the damaged parts and the work was completed quickly and is like new again! I appreciate his kindness and the way he was able to offer a solution without completely charging for a full closet replacement. Truly, my only regret is not having him do the closets in my new condo, but the builder was using another company and it definitely ended up costing me more for a similar product-- with less ability to move shelves/hanging rods around after install. read more

Philip did a fantastic job with designing and installing custom shelving in my master and coat closets. I got quotes from five companies, and Philip's design was the best. He also had the best price for the quality of work that his company provides. Both he and his installer were a pleasure to work with, and he was able to meet the extremely high insurance requirement for my high rise HOA. We just had our closets done by All About Closets. They did an excellent job. We had our master closet, two guest room closets, and our upstairs coat/office closet done. The master closet really exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent - Philip was our designer and did a great job - he spent lots of time at the house actually mocking up the designs during the initial consultation so we could discuss options on the spot (the other company we brought in took several days to get us the initial design options). After the initial consultation I sent a few requested changes to Philip over email and he always responded with the new designs mocked up with the updated pricing within a matter of hours. We had another quote from a closet company that was also highly reviewed on this site and while their price was also fair All About Closets came in less expensive for more detailed design options. We were able to schedule our installation about two weeks after we signed the agreement. The installers showed up on time and completed their work within a few hours. Had a wonderful experience with Philip. Our DIY master closet bar/shelving came crashing down one ill-fated night this past fall so I reached out to All About Closets in desperation. Philip was able to come out 2 days later, designed a beautiful closet on his iPad so I could make budget-friendly design decisions in real time, and was wonderful in presenting different options that would both meet our needs AND wouldn't break the bank. When one invests a significant amount of money into remodeling project, it is imperative that your chosen contractor is just as interested in completing the project as you are, and Philip proved himself just that and more. His estimate was reasonable, he had great ideas to make what I wanted work, rather than just push the same old and tired designs. He is patient and thorough, he paid attention to my ideas and suggestions. During the whole process I felt confident in his and his team's abilities to handle whatever issues came up during remodeling. This was a large and complicated project, and due to unforeseen issue with glass availability, it had to be completed in separate stages. I couldn't be happier! After getting quotes from three other closet companies, Philip was the only person that actually came with ideas instead of just measuring my space & asking what I wanted. And although he was one of my final estimates, he was the first to get back to me and with an actual CAD mock-up. His pricing was fair. He also had the best ideas & was very responsive to any changes that I wanted to make. Although there was a hiccup and scheduling, when my closets were actually installed it took less time than I anticipated and they turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend Phillip and his company All About Closets, they totally transformed the 2 closets in my master bedroom. From the initial design consultation up to the installation of the products, they were professional, dependable and great to work with. All closets in my house were done by All About Closets several years ago and cost me a fortune. Recently, I found a screw hole cracked, causing several boards supported by a screw to displace. Not a big problem, I would think, since all the work is covered by the life time warranty. I gave All About Closets three calls, each on a different day. Each time a staff took my name and phone number and said someone would call me back on the same day. But no one did that. Last week, I called the company the fourth time and clearly stated that "please fix the problem; otherwise I have to seek external help including filing compliant to BBB." Still one one called me back. Apparently, they do not want to honor their warranty. It is difficult to understand why such a seemingly "reputable" company would treat its customers like this. The phone number listed on their website is only used to fish for new customers. If you has any problems with their products, then good luck. Potential customers be very aware and please avoid this company at all cost. read more

The designer listened to our needs and came up with the right stuff that fit our budget. The installer were professional and quick. Now we have great looking closet systems in the house and at the cost closet to our budget. Apparently the person I had been emailing had been taken ill and they'd only just been granted access to his email. Corey was extremely apologetic, response and helpful. I'm a pretty demanding consumer, and my designer was super patient with me and explained everything as many times as I needed to hear it. And here's the best part - my FIRST closet with them is more than 5 years old and it's still awesome. All the drawers work, all the sliding gizmos work, and so on. When I bought that crappy stuff from The container Store several years back it all broke within a year. "Real" closets are certainly worth it! read more

I wanted a custom made office for my small home in Chicago. I didn't know closet companies did this until I passed a delivery truck, but it makes sense. Phil came out, took some measurements, I told him some items I wanted and he quickly sent a detailed design pic back that even had the color of my walls on it. I changed my mind on desktop color and he came back out to show me the swatches again. I LOVE my office! Makes my whole room look bigger. It's perfect and custom built around all the stuff like windows and heater vents. I had a pull out cabinet designed for my printer. And I had them NOT have adjustable shelves for the bookshelves so those little holes would not be along the sides giving it a truly custom look. (Who moves the shelves anyway - with a bit of planning you can figure out sizes.) They were a bit more than my 2 other quotes but not by much and the quality is superb. The install took one day and the installer was fabulous! There was not a speck of dust in the room. He even mounted my power strip. I highly recommend. Use them! read more

All About Closets was referred to me by a family member who had utilized this company a couple of years ago. I contacted them, set up an appointment, and their representative, Phil, took measurements at my home as well as my daughter's residence. Approximately two weeks later, I telephoned to inquire as to the disposition of my proposal wherein he apologized for not providing one on a more timely basis. He sent me an email indicating that my proposal was attached. It was not so I responded to his email indicating such. I received no response to my email. I telephoned the sales telephone number indicated on their WEB site and left a message with their representative in case Phil was having email issues. Once again, no response. read more
