Mike at All About Trees has been our arborist for over 25 years. He and his crew are reliable, hardworking, knowledgeable and very professional. Today we had 3 very large pine trees trimmed and our greatest concern is always the furry friends that call these trees home. Other tree companies may scoff, but Mike understands and his crew always look before they cut. We greatly appreciate this. We also wanted to save branches to use in landscape around our yard. We've seen this at various So Cal parks and arboretums and like the way it adds to the "woodsy" feeling to the flora. The guys not only were courteous about this, they also regularly checked to see if we wanted any of the saved branches trimmed. Some yes, but some long ones will get a special arrangement and the guys helped haul those to a separate staging area. Aside from the 3 very large pines, we had cypress, juniper and a "smaller", juvenile pine we needed trimmed and "tipped." The juniper has a draping privacy aspect to a side patio Hubs was thinking of clearing out, but after walking through and cutting as Hubs pointed, we had a nicely sculpted, shorter drape w/dead branches cleaned out and perfect clearance from the house. The additional pine needed to be clear of a property line, but we also are working towards a particular shape with that tree, since it's young. The crew understood everything, communication was great and Hubs is happy with the results. We made an appointment with Valerie for Mike to give us a quote on removing seven cypress trees near our driveway. Mike advised us to have the gas company mark the ground first, as gas lines ran close to where the trees would be removed, a sign of his professionalism and safety awareness. A month ago we had some trees to remove, 2 midsized established fruits trees that were too close to the fences and a smaller growing one also next to it. The consult was very quick and efficient, and the quote was very fair. Our old jacaranda tree seriously needed a trim. Mike and his team were terrific and removed probably a couple of hundred pounds of branches and foliage and then cleaned up all the debris. The combination of super-competent & friendly service, with a great job at a great price is rare, but Mike Linstrom and his crew at All About Trees just knock that ball right out of the park! We're on a half acre, with more than 30 trees of varied age, type and condition. We trim, but things got away from us, stuff got too tall, and "too much" to handle. I had reference, claiming Mike Linstrom to be "really professional and really good", so I called and requested a quote. That process was easy, and a very nice lady called me back, got a lot of information from me and then Mike showed up at the appointment, fully informed and eager to walk the property to "talk trees". Yeah, this guy IS a pro: he knew things about our trees we didn't, had great ideas about how and what to do, filled us with confidence in his company and then sent us a formal bid the following morning for a price I had to verify with the great lady in his offices -- and it was. The All About Trees crew showed up exactly at the appointment time with a bunch of clean trucks, road cones and uniforms that had our neighbors coming over to check out the "fancy tree guys", ha ha! I had a 45 foot, 50 plus year old Mulberry Tree that was diseased and had to come out. All About Trees showed up on time, with a big crew who moved what needed to be moved; covered with plywood and tarps those items that couldn't be moved and they even covered my pond. Then they got to work. It was like watching a ballet...guys in the tree, guy holding ropes tied to the big branches so they could be guided down and then the cuttings out the curb where they were ground up. They finished in record time...cleaned up the debris from the removal and then some and not a single item in the yard was damaged and my pond didn't have any ANY debris in it. I've had large trees removed before but this company was stellar. I would use them again! read more

I moved to a different state recently but wanted to write a review for All About Trees. I used their services quite a few times over the years. This is a family owned company. I had a nasty neighbor who never trimmed her Eucalyptus tree, which was three stories high, and hung over into our yard. She would not take care of her tree as it didn't bother her at all that I had my young kids playing in the yard at the time. After almost taking her to court and my lawyer writing her a letter, we worked out a deal where we would split the tree trimming fee in half. I spent thousands over the years I lived in the San Fernando Valley as these trees grow like weeds. Mike and Valerie were always good about working with this difficult person. I hired All About Trees to trim three 40 ft pine trees and take out a crape myrtle in my parkway. They were very competitive with their pricing. The project was completed very quickly, and everything was cleaned up.. Mike came out and supervised the job to make sure everything was done perfectly, as well as helping with the work. Did an outstanding job cutting down a tree, dead bushes and clearing a hill from weeds per fire code. On a prior year another company did a poor job and my dog kept coming in with stickers.
