They trimmed our long over due palm tree and they did such a great job!! They gave more than a fair price and scheduled accordingly. They even call 30-40 minutes before arrival. When he evaluated the tree, he asked a number of questions to better determine what factors might be causing its current condition, and then recommended an applications arborist as the tree needed care outside the scope of what Kerry's Tree Service provides. Horrible experience. Guys came out at 10 15 to cut off a couple dead branches. 11 15 or so it is all quiet. I looked outside and see a guy on the cement. After overthinking, I thought maybe the guy fell and I need to call 911. I quietly open the door and the guy is asleep. His partner is outside in front in the shade asleep too. Over an hour later they are up working. Now I just had a couple of dead branches on one tree to deal with. They were also supposed to deal with some fire blight on another tree. They didn't do they completely. The guy sprays his tree trimmer with Lysol spray. He cuts off the diseased small branches after asking me if I wanted to do the trimming. I said that is why you are here is to do the trimming as I cannot do it. Four hours from when they arrived they leave. 4 hours to do the job. Luckily I took photos off the sleeping workers. I e mailed the company and got an apology and they waived the cost. I was going to use them for other work but nope. Don't recommend them. read more

I have a very over-grown Ash tree that had not been trimmed in years and was hanging over my neighbor's house. I explained the situation and that I needed it cut back as far as possible without killing the tree. They totally got my situation and were very accommodating. On the day of the work, they sent a huge crew, who were all very nice. I asked if we could save any firewood (we love camping), and they made a nice huge pile of perfect firewood. The best part was they totally cleaned the worksite up, including tons of dead leaves. They did a nice job on our neighbors overgrown trees but left branch debris on our hill, even though they were allowed on our property to clean up. While they did clean 90% of the debris that dropped on our property, they left one large piece of tree trunk they got stuck in the fence, and several large branches were left on top of our hill. We had to pay extra to our regular gardening crew for time to clean and CUT UP the debris they left on our property. It filled our large yard can and then some. Had we noticed this before they left, we would have asked them to clean it all up and remove the trunk they stuck in the fence. If using them, please ask them to respect your neighbors property a bit better. read more

These guys were great. Friendly and communicative to work with. We had a good-sized job with a tight external deadline, and they managed to squeeze it in their schedule. Perfect job, no issues, and they stacked the wood some distance away and did a perfect clean-up. They are a fine company as far as their work. The are not favorable to wildlife. Cut down a tree with baby birds in it and when asked lied and said the nest was empty. They were priced competitively and the guy who did the quote was fast and courteous, which is a big deal for me. They said they would be there at 730am and they WERE! I hired Kerry's Tree service to trim a large tree and a smaller one in the backyard. I figured they'd do that and be out but they went above and beyond and trimmed all the little bushes under the tree and left the large tree looking awesome. I was really concerned because the palm tree above it was dropping alot of palm fronds so imagine this canopy of palm fronds 30 feet high just ready to fall down and hit somebody, like my girlfriend or one of my tenants or last but not least, me ! Now I feel way better and when I walk down the walkway to my place I can't help but look up and feel good about my decision to hire Kerry's Tree service. Mike was the estimator and he's a class act. Way overdue review for Kerry's tree service -- I won't ever let any other company or individual near my trees. Have used Kerry's Tree service for over 10 years now. Once a year they come out to do my 4 Hong Kong Orchid trees ---- Total pros and each year as these artists continue to prune and shape the growing trees, the trees look better and better. --- Susan who runs the office is great with friendly up to date communications. The guys that come out have a great upbeat attitude and as hard of work as it is, they enjoy the job and like using their skills to prune trees properly. They take pride in their work (what a concept nowadays!) --- Prices are super reasonable, only having raised mine by just a tad in 10 years (unheard of). It's most appreciated ---- Sure, for a $100 bucks or so you can hire a guy with a chainsaw and a pick-up truck who left his card on your doorstep....you'll be sorrrrrry. --- As you drive around town, note the number of trees that have what arborists call the dreaded "Atlas's Fist" (Clench your hand in a fist and pretend lots of little plant shoots coming out of it) In most cases this can't be fixed and on an almost daily bases I see trees newly so-called pruned that have been destroyed, and it really breaks your heart when you see a majestic tree that has been around since the 1960's or 70's and in one fell swoop it's destroyed by some grab the check and run yo-yo (also hurting your property value, not to mention pissing off your neighbors) - Can't recommend this company enough. Five Stars is not enough for this professional Tree Trimming Service! First of all, owner is a certified arborist, so he is incredibly knowledgeable about trees, types, when is the best time to trim which type of tree, which trees may have invasive roots so may not be a good idea to plant close to a home, etc. His work and workers were very professional, and left my yard, and my neighbor's yard spotless after removing 4 HUGE Italian cypress trees, and his prices were very reasonable. Followup March 2018: I am happy to report that when I brought the problems with the July 2017 service (see below) to the attention of general manager Jim Avery, he took care of replacing the mulch that had been blown away. I appreciate him working with me to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. Kerry's tree service (Scott Rogers, foreman) trimmed my trees in July 2017. They did a decent job of trimming my trees... unfortunately, they WRECKED much of the rest of my landscaping. They also refused to cut the vines off of the phone and cable TV wires (even though they're NOT dangerous power wires), and I had to have another tree company come out and do that. I had asked him to please be careful of my plants and he had said they would do their best. But they just TRAMPLED through my ground cover instead of going two feet out of their way to avoid it, and they completely wrecked it. Worst of all, my yard had been covered with a beautiful, soft, fragrant bark mulch that I had handsomely paid a landscaper to install when I'd had my grass removed, plus a nice layer of eucalyptus leaves in the north yard and pine needles in the south yard. . It was beautiful, it looked like a forest floor. After trimming the trees, they took out their blowers to 'clean up'. When I went out to take a look when they were finished, I couldn't believe my eyes - they had BLOWN AWAY ALL MY BARK MULCH, leaving nothing but bare ground and the sharp seed pods that fall from the eucalyptus trees (which are too heavy for the blowers to move). I asked Scott "WHY DID YOU BLOW AWAY ALL MY MULCH?" And he had the nerve to BLAME IT ON ME: he just said, "Well, I wish you had said something before." Seriously? After all these years of people removing their lawns, they don't know there's such a thing as bark mulch?? He didn't take any responsibility, didn't apologize, didn't offer to replace it. Very careless and unprofessional. Also, they had knocked things over while carelessly dragging out branches, and as they were leaving, I noticed the top of my little folding table was missing. I pointed it out; again, Scott denied responsibility and insisted, "It must have been like that." But I asked the workers to please look for it, and they did find it in their trash and bring it back to me (no thanks to Scott). They would have thrown it out if I hadn't asked for it! If you have nothing but trees and concrete, they would probably do fine. But if you have any plants in your yard, I recommend you try BLOCKING IT OFF with hazard tape to try to keep them from trampling it! And if you have any mulch, be sure to ask them in advance NOT TO BLOW IT AWAY! read more

Mike came for appraisal and gave me me a reasonable (considering their creds) quote for pruning/trimming two trees, one of which was super gnarly, overgrown, and caught up in powerlines and other trees. I didn't want to mess around since the gnarly tree affected two of my neighbors and was also damaging a shared wall. Milton and his team were timely, efficient and skilled. Ended up taking the gnarly tree down to its trunk at the last minute and got it done for a reasonable extra charge. They got the job done in just 3 hours including leaving the yard cleaner than before they got there! Kerry's is also licensed, insured and bonded. I needed to get 3 trees in my backyard cut down that were intertwined with the telephone/electical/cable TV wires. 2 of the trees were mostly hanging in my neighbors yard and I had some Neighbor Drama about branches falling in their yard and breaking the fence between our yards as the large tree trunk started on my side of the fence but hung over their yard. I could not believe that the Kerry crew was able to use ropes and other tricks to have 95% of the tree branches fall in my yard, even working around the wiring going through the trees. They used a ladder to access my neighbors yard to get the 5% of tree branches in their back yard over the fence back to my side. the entire crew was professional, cleaned up well and knew what they were doing. The crew was using the proper safety gear for what they were doing and that is good company policy, they want to keep everyone safe.!! In addition to the 3 trees in the back, they also removed 1 tree from the front yard , cut dead branches off of another tree and helped me determine what kind and where to place a new shade tree for the front yard that will not cause any issues with the roots.
