The word, professional, gets used a lot but often doesn't translate to good work. Well, today, we found a true, dedicated, efficient, personable company that have EARNED the title of PROFESSIONAL! It's a father-son tree trimming company called, appropriately enough, Father And Son Tree Service. They arrived BEFORE their allotted time, trimmed off a massive amount of fronds from four 90 feet Washingtonian palms and 2 smaller Queen palms all in the space of two and a half hours! There was NO mess left behind. They were efficient and immaculate in their work. Plus they were the best rates we found. Absolutely cannot recommend this company more. I supposed to upload this review last year, 2025. But I could not do it due to personal reasons. My husband got a surgery and took a long recovery time at the time. So now I am uploading late review. This is my 2nd review with Father and Son company. Last year, I had to remove all trees on my hillside due to my downhill neighbor's complain. It was not small job because there were a lot of dead trees on the hillside. My budget was limited and tight. I called Melesio and explained my situation, asking senior discount and most affordable estimates for me to avoid any hassle with my downhill neighbor. Melesio treated me like his mother and understood my situation, gave me affordable estimate with senior discount! He did cut and trim down all dead or grown up trees on the hillside for 2 days. Every year I use tree services to trim my trees and every year I stress the importance of decorative pruning versus just chopping off branches. My request was simple, prune them symmetrically and form an arc on the top. Nobody I worked before seemed to get it right. Every time my trees looked ugly after trimming was complete. It would take moths until the leaves and new branches would form and cover the massacre. When I met Melesio at Father & Son Tree Service he understood my request and promised to do it right. He ended up getting up on the trees himself and prune the branches ideally, just the way I wanted. He also saved more than the other guys I worked with before. THE BEST TREE SERVICE AROUND!!! Father & Son Tree Service is really the best! We had 4 huge pine trees that we wanted cut down (including the stumps) so we got several estimates. Melesio came out to give an estimate and after speaking with him for a bit, we just knew that his company would be the one to hire! The estimate was reasonable for all that they were going to be doing. They are licensed (very important to us!), so professional, have all the right eqpt and trucks for the job, are such nice guys and have the communication skills that we look for in any business. This was a 3 day job and after each day, they cleaned up. At the end, they went above and beyond to leave our yard as clean as possible. Raul, the son, was just as knowledgeable as his dad in answering our questions. We will definitely recommend them (and already have) to our neighbors and friends. DEFINITELY 5-STAR!!! read more

Never buy a house under a gigantic pine tree. That being said, we had to thin out this massive tree and I shopped multiple tree companies. Out the gate, Father and Son Tree Services was the most affordable. They were in my neighborhood working on another property and looked to be professional with all the equipment and trucks, so I took a shot, and it turned out to be a great decision. F&S had a team of 7 guys work hard and hustle starting promptly at 8am as promised. They worked very hard and did a bang up professional job until job done at sundown, 11 hours! They cleaned up my yard, my roof and both of my neighbors yard, leaving it immaculate! You couldn't even tell that there was a massive tree cutting project. The owner was there supervising each step of the way and even was working and leading hands on to ensure that property's were protected and, his team was wearing and being safe at all times. I noticed him yelling at one of his worker to wear a hard hat. I will 100% absolutely recommend Father and Son and will use them again. After the job they even trimmed hedges in my backyard for no charge. And, we had another tree not part of the job that they cut for my neighbor, also at a very reasonable rate. This project took all day and neighbors watched and commented on how wonderful the tree ended up. After consulting Yelp and Next Door recommendations for Tree Services, we selected two highly regarded companies and got estimates. We were impressed with Father & Son Tree Service and hired them for a job that took two full days. Previously we had used another company, but they no longer had a current license nor insurance. Considering the danger inherent in the job, we would not take a chance on someone without these. With Father & Son Tree Service we had peace of mind along with a reasonable price for professional work. Melesio was a pleasure to work with. He is highly experienced and knowledgeable regarding trees and other vegetation and knows how to properly prune and care for trees. He has a well trained crew that obviously knows what they are doing. When they were finished, the trees looked like works of art as opposed to the topped trees that some companies do. The workers were all conscientious, respectful, and completed a tremendous amount of work. I used Father and Son for a small tree trimming job several months ago, but this month decided to do the hill behind my house that bordered the golf course, a hill which contained multiple pine trees, bushes, and oaks.
