Johnny is by far the best in the business. I have a monster of a tree and they took care of it with class and ease.

Johnny has overseen the maintenance of my trees for years. A very likeable guy who can be counted on.

Mike at All About Trees has been our arborist for over 25 years. He and his crew are reliable,…read morehardworking, knowledgeable and very professional. Today we had 3 very large pine trees trimmed and our greatest concern is always the furry friends that call these trees home. Other tree companies may scoff, but Mike understands and his crew always look before they cut. We greatly appreciate this. We also wanted to save branches to use in landscape around our yard. We've seen this at various So Cal parks and arboretums and like the way it adds to the "woodsy" feeling to the flora. The guys not only were courteous about this, they also regularly checked to see if we wanted any of the saved branches trimmed. Some yes, but some long ones will get a special arrangement and the guys helped haul those to a separate staging area. Aside from the 3 very large pines, we had cypress, juniper and a "smaller", juvenile pine we needed trimmed and "tipped." The juniper has a draping privacy aspect to a side patio Hubs was thinking of clearing out, but after walking through and cutting as Hubs pointed, we had a nicely sculpted, shorter drape w/dead branches cleaned out and perfect clearance from the house. The additional pine needed to be clear of a property line, but we also are working towards a particular shape with that tree, since it's young. The crew understood everything, communication was great and Hubs is happy with the results. If you are in need of an excellent, licensed, bonded, professional crew - that has been working together for over 20 years! - call All about trees. Valerie will answer and get you on Mike's calendar for an estimate. Tell them "CC" sent you. Cheers! "CC"

After the work was completed, my HOA requested that additional side branches be trimmed. I reached out to Ernesto, and he responded right away. He was incredibly understanding and accommodating. Even though the original job had already been completed, he came back promptly and took care of the additional trimming at no extra charge. That level of customer service is hard to find. Ernesto genuinely stands behind his work and cares about making sure his customers are satisfied. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and professional tree service company.

Unquestionably, you would be treated with respect; the service would be furnished by an expert in his field, who is highly responsive to client contacts; he/she would offer quality work at a reasonable price, and you would be dealt with honestly. In summary, your technician would be a customer-centered subject matter expert. As a 74-year-old senior citizen, this is the type of world I wish I lived in. SPOILER ALERT: We do not live in a "perfect world," so those of us who need to purchase services of any kind must be very discriminating in whom we hire. After dealing with several arborial, tree-trimming contractors in my life, I have settled on Ernesto of Pineda's Tree Care as my "go to arborist." I trust him implicitly! He embodies every quality you would expect in a tree trimmer, if we lived in a perfect world. So, the next time you need to have landscaping done for any job or project, be realistic: Trust Ernesto in a flawed world; you will be glad you did. Ernesto is the best! Read less

Interestingly, I submitted this review to Yelp in January 2026 and it disappeared…read more The quality of communication within Natural Wonders Trees' departments, and from them to client, has unfortunately declined recently. I've hired them several times over the past few years. From 2022 through 2025, after a qualified arborist met with me to discuss tree trimming needs and to give me a quote, he'd stop by during and/or after the work was being done by the field crew, to assure both himself and me it was being done according to plan. Also from 2022 through 2025, the office would give me the name of the foreman who'd be coming to my home with the work crew, and the foreman would introduce himself to me on arrival so I'd know whom I could talk to if I had any concerns (especially since most of the work crew don't speak English), and the foreman would come and tell me when they were finished so we could look over the work together. When I had Natural Wonders trim several large trees in January 2026, 1) I never saw the arborist (Juan) after I'd accepted the quote, even though I emailed the office and asked if he could please stop by. 2) On neither day of the two days' work did any of the workers introduce himself to me, nor act like he was in charge. The only communication I received from the workmen was a random one of the workmen telling me 'we finish tomorrow' at quitting time on Tuesday, and 'we finish' on Wednesday. Appreciated, but I never knew who was foreman, nor whom I could speak English to. 3) When the work was extended into a second day, I received an email from the office saying that Juan (the arborist) and "#3" would be there the next day. Juan wasn't there, and the office let me know after the fact that 'Alex' had been the foreman; but I didn't have any idea which of the several workmen that day was Alex. 4) Since when Juan originally came by to give me the quote, he mentioned that they'd have to clean up in the yard of a neighbor whose yard my trees' branches hang over. So I'd touched base with her to let her know. When they quit at 4 pm on the Tuesday, they told her that they'd be by at 8 am the next day. But they actually did not have the next day scheduled yet. When the office emailed me later Tuesday afternoon, they told me the next team would be there about 1 pm on Wednesday. But meanwhile my neighbor was staying home to let them in since 8 am that day, and texted me at noon to let me know that they were no-shows. When I mentioned this to the team who showed up at my house on the Wednesday afternoon, they said "we didn't know our schedules yet." Okay, so the Tuesday team should NOT have given my neighbor such a specific time to expect them on Wednesday, if they didn't know their schedules yet! They could have said something like "we don't know tomorrow's schedule yet, but the office will email Stephanie later today, and you can check with her." If they didn't know enough English for that, they could have asked the foreman for help translating (the foremen are partially chosen for their skill in speaking English). Juan (the arborist) called me a few days after I originally submitted a Yelp review; they were (apparently) notified by Yelp of my concerns above (and my January review never appeared on Yelp). He thanked me profusely for sharing my concerns, and he expressed surprise that there had been a different foreman on each of the 2 days; he said the office should have notified him. He also emphasized that the office never let him know that I'd requested for him to stop by on the second day. So to be clear, my concern is NOT that Juan fell down on the job; my concern is that the office did not communicate well with me or with Juan, and the foremen did not communicate with me, and the Tuesday team gave misinformation to my neighbor. Have they gotten too busy to be able to give individual attention to good repeat clients? When the work affects not only the beauty of my home but the safety of myself and my neighbors, and is costing me several thousand dollars per service, I would really appreciate the office providing clearer communication with me and more careful oversight of the job, like they used to.

I liked that he gives deals for paying in cash and that I got a written estimate. He and his team are very detailed. They cut the palm trees to my specific liking (3 leaves remaining on each palm). When his team came, it was a big crew who got the job done on about 2 days. I love that they cheered as they worked, it was such a positive vibe. One very important thing is that they take safety very seriously. Safety of the working team, the customers, and the property. Everyone wore so much PPE. And every ladder used had a spotter. I greatly appreciate that Tino is with his team the whole time and he'll ask me to check and see if things are to my liking before he deems them complete. We did hit a pause because 2 of the tree trunks are near a street light. So we needed to see where the electricity runs. I tried call the city and LADWP, but it turns out what's needed is a dig alert. Tino opened a dig alert ticket. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for the city to draw the lines to the street light. It's definitely no fault of Tino and I appreciate that he wants to do things safely. So, to be continued! I'd highly recommend A Cut Above, they live up to their name!
