I am very sad to write this review because the salon is cute and the owner is VERY nice, but I feel I have to. The owner is lovely but if she cares about her business she should look into the attitude of her stylists. Unless she's so mesmerized by her staff, that she's willing to put her business on the line. I say this especially when during this horrific pandemic businesses have gone under left and right. It seems to me that a business would welcome a good steady client who is grateful and tips well. I started going to All About You a few years ago. I go to local salons EXCLUSIVELY for blow outs. I go to a salon in Manhattan for the last 12 years for color and cut and I am not changing. I notice that stylists are not happy with just the blow out. They don't consider you a "real client" because you are not getting the full services of cut and color. Most places that I've gone to, try to sway you and when I am firm in my no, they get annoyed. I think this was the situation with JOANNE at All About You. She was excellent at blowing my hair, I really loved the way she blew my hair. At first, she was very nice, but as time went by she got nastier and nastier and I really do not know why. She finally said to me and I quote: "I am not going to set up your blow dry appointments around your nail appointments" which I did at a different place. I thought that was very rude and none of her business and I stopped going. May I add, she was getting a $10 tip for a $32 blowout!! Not bad, right? I had found since then, a wonderful stylist at Christie & Co, who is not only lovely, but also fabulous and does my hair gorgeous. Christie's wasn't doing blow outs at first when they opened, [thankfully they are now and I'm going back to them] And by the way, the stylist from Christie's is MUCH better than JOANNE. So because Christie's wasn't blowing hair, I thought let me go back to All About You, they are cheaper than Christie's and Joanne is pretty good. I left a voice mail and the person who called me back was Joanne, I knew she didn't remember me when she gave me her schedule. I said I would call back, that was on Monday. Today, one day later, she calls me, I knew she NOW remembered me because she called me LIZ instead of Elizabeth which is the name I gave. She calls to tell me that I should find another place to get may hair done because her schedule has now changed, [this is overnight] and she doesn't know what her schedule is going to be. LIES!! what a LIAR!! She remembered me, doesn't like me, and decided to blow me off!! I have NO RESPECT for that!! I just hung up on her!! Be a woman and say the truth!! JOANNE you are not the last coca-cola in the dessert. Good luck, Donna, those kinds of business practices will ruin your business if you care. The competition is tough!! Best of luck!!! read more
