Avoid this company! It's one of these places that rely on your ignorance of plumbing and not knowing anything at all about basic costs. They quoted me some ridiculously high price at first; and then when I complained, the guy calls into "the home office" to "see if i can get it lowered for you." THIS IS A RIP-OFF, plain and simple. Here's the specific example: his guys were quoting me $2000 to replace my sump pump. Before calling any plumbers, I did research on the internet, and for a really GOOD sump pump--not just some knock-off cheap sump , but for a Zoeller sump pump--it said the parts, labor, and back-up batter were around $1200-1500. Two other plumbers i got only quoted me $1500--then when i complain that there price is way too high, they do that car dealership thing-- where they say "let me see if i can talk to my manager and get the price lowered for you." Cornell was quick to send out a plumber to our place after we called them for services. Cornell was on top of calling us and checking in with what services we needed to get done. The plumber Sergio was polite and hardworking. He was nice enough to call the business to give us a better deal. Sergio even told us what could be the possible reasons for our shower issue which decided to work fine that day for some reason. Scheduling was not fun. I had to be rescheduled without explanation the first time. The second time, they came five hours earlier than their service window. I work from home so I was around to let them in, but it was disruptive to my work and I had to reschedule meetings. Some people think their schedule is more important than other people's and that's not cool. Service, once it happened, was quick and friendly and got the job done. Price was good too - no complaints there. However, it was awkward that they didn't have a way to take a credit card other than just writing down your credit card details and hope none of your information gets stolen. read more

The price seems high to set a toilet, but based on other reviews, I went with them since they were so convenient and I'm hoping that's the going rate. Kind of wish they wore shoe covers inside since it was rainy outside, but it is what it is. Major downside is they had to write down my card information, and that makes me really uncomfortable. We recently bought a home that had a lot of weird plumbing issues and we wanted a whole house filter installed. We priced out the job, different filtration options, etc. with multiple plumbing and water filter companies and came to the conclusion we would purchase our own water filter and hire a plumbing company to install it. All Affordable Plumbing gave us not only the best price by far but was the only company that didn't tell us they could fit us in in "3-4 weeks". When they came to the house, they looked at the filter we bought, looked at our current system, and quoted us almost exactly what we were told over the phone. No surprises! I made an appointment at 2pm on Monday and at 9am Tuesday Sergio was knocking on my door. i was given a window of 9a-noon. At 8:45 Sergio calls to confirm and says he'll be there in 10 minutes. Sergio was polite and attentive to the symptoms of the faucet/leak problem. He confirmed the problem and replaced the faucet. He was up front with pricing as was the appointment setter the day before. Sergio cleaned up after the repair and even marked the area of defect on the old faucet so that I could make a warranty claim. I highly recommend All Affordable Plumbing. Purchased new toilets at Menards and ran into an issue with installation. Called All Affordable for help. Appointment was scheduled for next day at 7am. Despite providing detailed info on our address, plumber showed up and texted from wrong house. Once he arrived at correct address, I was shocked at the cost quoted and decided to only replace 1 of the 2 toilets. $365 for 50 mins of work! Only needed flange replaced. Ouch! Plus, old toilet had already been removed, but was left onsite. Anything but AFFORDABLE. read more

We had a problem with a bathroom sink leaking. They said we had 2 valves under the sink and the faucet itself that needed to be replaced. They said $475 for the whole job. He said $100 for each of the valves and work under the sink ($200 total) and $275 for the faucet and associated labor for that... for the $475 total. Keep in mind, you can pick up these valves at Home Depot/Lowes/Menards for less than $30, so it isn't like there isn't labor built in to the $200 for the two valve replacements. We told him that we were interested only in the valves under the sink only and would tackle the faucet a different day. So we re-confirmed with them for $200 total. He said yes. He then proceeded to seek to shut off the water for us but we had to call out the city to close at the Buffalo valve. Standing outside, I again asked him just to confirm on the price... and he again said $200. When the city came and shut off the water 10 mins later, we called the plumber back but he had already been re-assigned to another job, and that we would have to call the office to get another guy to come out. So when we called the 847 number, the guy who answered the phone (Cornel) said it would be $275 minimum, and that there is no way they would do it for $200. After explaining how the conversation went with the plummer, he was irritated and acted like we the customer had done something wrong. So we said thanks no thanks to the $275, due to their refusal to honor their commitment. After being promised a $200 price with 2 additional confirmations, and there is no other way to put it other than that Cornel was being a jerk on the phone, as if we the customer were the ones trying to pull a fast one. Based on our experience with Cornel, we promised them a lovely review... and here it is. The plumber who showed up was nice.. the guy at the place who said he was his boss (Cornel).. needs to honor the commitments his plummer made. I see we are not the first to provide a negative review... understandable. "All Affordable Plumbing": Translated: We'll quote you a price and then tack on $75 more. All affordable, right? What wasn't perfect? On time, high quality work, great suggestions and my house was cleaner when they left when they got there. I did a full house repipe. The crew came in like a well oiled machine and they didn't stop until they were done. They patched all the holes in the walls on day 2 and they are smooth and like there was never a hole in them. Additionally, we had a full bathroom demo and remodel. They were thorough, explaining to me what to expect, timelines and even suggestions on brands of fixtures and tile placement. I'm thrilled with the end result. The bathroom is gorgeous and we Now have great water pressure. Horatio and his team are nice people who care about their customers and their homes. I am not sure why there are people that leave positive reviews for this company, I have had the worst experience with them . First I contacted them and they made a appointment for the next day for between 10am and noon, they did not arrive until 1:20pm, When I spoke with the office I told them it was a small leak form my well tank to my supply line, it is a 18" pipe, that had a little water spraying out from it, next thing is 3 people arrive to fix a small leak, 2 stood there and one looked at the issue, they told me it would be $350 to fix it, I asked how long it would take and they told me less than a hour, then they do not even have the part to fix it and want to go buy the part it to fix my leak, I have no idea why you would need 3 people to fix the leak other than to charge the customer more money. so they are charging over $300 a hour for there service, the piece needed could not cost more than $20, this is what you get when they offer free estimates, it was fixed by another plumber for $160. read more

They are a job-done option: they will pull down walls, replace plumbing, and put the walls back up. (huge because getting contracters to put up drywall after the fact would be difficult).
