Responded quickly and came out within hours. We thought it was just a blockage in the sewer, but turned out to be a 2" shear between the foundation and the outside pipe. Provided me with an estimate (which was lower than I expected) and started working on digging the pipe out by hand (6' down). Lorenz Plumbing was fantastic! Recently moved to Palatine and was looking for a good circle of people to help with all the troubles that come with home ownership. Patrick was recommended by another business that had recently contracted him. I held onto his business card until I had a good list of work that needed to be done. We had a good interaction via text with pictures and requests. It was all coordinated quickly and very friendly. Our work was split into two days, the first day was a breeze with toilet replacement and an attic pipe repair. Second day was the water heater and a broken sewer pipe. So, about a half hour in, I hear "Marcos, can you come down here?" - INSTANT PANIC. So... basically, the pipe was broken under the cement and had basically created a basin of feces UNDER THE HOUSE! I would've expected any person to just walk away at that moment. This was not at all what we had expected, but Patrick really saved the day. He was able to clean out the basin, repair the pipe, and add a clean layer of cement. It was incredible work. I am so thankful for Patrick and his associate. They were seriously the best, I will ONLY work with Patrick moving forward. And best of all, he's a really good guy. I feel like I made a friend, and it was worth every penny spent (at a very reasonable cost). Moral of the story... call Patrick, your plumbing work is probably easier than my nightmare. read more
