I explained to them that I need to fix the chip so I don't have to go through a claim process with my credit card, because who wants to really go through claim processes? Nobody. He said no problem we can get this fixed for you in the morning before you return it. He came at 7am and sent me before and after photos. The "after photo" he texted me appeared as if there was no more visible chip so I figured mission accomplished. When I got in the car I was shocked. This was not fixed at all and actually looked worse than before because of the drilling he did. For a 9:30am Saturday arrival, the place was nearly empty except for 1 other person. The staff was friendly and the guy got right to work giving us the Safelite spiel and guarantee before the team took the car back to fix the chip. The waiting area was very clean and they have drinks, coffee, tea, and snacks for you to munch on while making fun of whatever TV show is on. It's a very chill environment. Less than 30mins later, my car's done. Of course, the chip is still visible (and that's the case unless you replace the entire windshield) but it's definitely better now than it was before and if anything were to happen with the chip, there's that lifetime guarantee that I can always rely on. My only wish is that they had: 1) More appointments available. I was scheduling right after Thanksgiving week so maybe that was why pickings were slim. 2) A wider window of availability since most of us work during their regular hours and don't want to opt for a 12pm - 4pm "they come to you" repair window.

I wasted half my day waiting because there was an utter lack of basic business practices and communication with customers. What's most frustrating is how unbothered everyone seemed. Other than an apology, there was no urgency, accountability, or real effort to make things right. At some point, apologies stop meaning anything when customers continue dealing with the same problems repeatedly. Customers shouldn't have to rearrange their schedules multiple times because of poor planning, lack of communication, and operational failures from a national company that should know better.

They have been working in the industry since 2001 and their experience shows. A small shop, family business worth visiting, in my humble opinion, for your future glass needs. $0 deductible - $0 out of pocket cost. As a caveat, I am a State Farm agent who uses our partner service providers whenever possible to experience exactly what our policyholders would.
