The truth will set you free One star is kind for the treatment we have received...read on friends.... I had a review on here about a few weeks ago, and removed it because maybe I was a little harsh. But the following is the truth, which you should know. Mostly, this dealership should know. This is in no way a reflection of Ford vehicles, we enjoyed the car and returned our lease out of necessity for a smaller car/car payment. This review is a reflection of our experiences with the dealership, mostly so that you as a prospective car buyer can make an informed decision. Our lease began 2 years ago, as does this review. April 2012: My wife and 2 kids (one still unborn but VERY close to birth) came in looking to upgrade our Mazda to a larger vehicle. We were seated, and eventually shown the explorer we would then lease. This whole process took over 8 (EIGHT!) hours!!! I gave my license to test drive the car, and it was basically held hostage until we left, with the car. My one child is very hyperactive, mix in a pregnant woman with a neck injury, and this dealership saw $$$. We were distracted, worn down (constant "wait here and we will be back with your info") and mislead with varying prices. After my wife left with our child to finally go home, I was left to talk to the financial guy. Before this we "shook" on an agreed price, then I was presented with a totally different one later. Desperate to leave, and happy with the vehicle, I signed away. Fast forward to December 2013. I go in to inquire about the CONSTANT emails, phone calls, and letters indicating I'd be able to turn in my lease early. I am immediately offered another vehicle to trade up for (a used edge). Which I tested, and was fine with. I made it CRYSTAL CLEAR that I wouldn't be able to pay anything near what I was paying for the explorer and was not totally sold on buying another vehicle from this dealer, or a ford at all. The employee came back to me numerous times with different prices, all HIGHER than what I was paying for my current vehicle. I expressed my unhappiness, gathered my things and left, understanding I couldn't return my lease until the end of the contract period. About a month passes, we get info that the vehicle is to be inspected by Ford. So we call the dealership to whichever we are told "no, we don't do the inspection, it is done by a third party." So we ask why we got mailings saying to schedule inspection with dealership, to which they say they had "no idea" these mailings were going out! (How is that even possible?!) So when this all happens, they Finally decide to check Yelp and see the original old review, which I admit was nasty and just ranted. The part the blew my mind the most was that the next day after seeing the old review, we were asked not to return to that dealership!! Not "what can we do to rectify the situation" or "as a customer your business is important to us." Unbelievable, I don't run a business but I have to believe that anyone who does would try to make a customer happy instead of turn them away unhappy. One thing I did learn in my years in "customer based" fields...every bad experience is shared with at least 7 different people, every positive one is only about half of that. So....All American Ford....here is my 7...and then some. Needless to say, we returned our vehicle elsewhere and will never lease or even consider a Ford again. Not for us. And maybe you too. At least not this dealership, the Freehold dealership was pleasant, kind, and helpful when we were literally turned away to return our lease, check them out. read more

Leased a 2013 Focus EV at a great price almost 3 years ago, they gave me a terrific deal. Had service issues, each time the car was in for a service recall fix, got it back with grease on dash, console, seat, chipped paint at front for 'headlight recall', so multiple times into the dealership for recall stuff, each time treated my car like a POS. Complained to the "mafia boys" who are the owner/service manager, was basically told, don't like it, go elsewhere. Car died for the 5th time, had it towed to them a few months ago, they refused to work on it, called Ford "mother ship", was told, "each dealership is an independent entity, they can do what they want, find someone else to fix your car". Bottom line, build your relationship with a trusted dealer, don't go here. --------------- Today (9/26/17) I get a call from All American pleading to remove my review. I am under a court order not to discuss any of the incidents, etc., as it would negate the final outcome of the situation that was addressed legally. Man or woman, if they can't handle the job, consider changing it. There was no "verbal abuse" as claimed, it's just a cop out for the dealership because I was an insistent, dissatisfied customer who could not win in any way shape or form, they treated my car like crap, they did not care about the way they serviced it, and today they try to bribe me by offering any other "deal" on a Mazda, Subaru or other cars they sell if I were to remove my posting here. Again, bottom line is, think wisely before considering this dealership. I've owned over 80 cars in my life and this dealer was the absolute worst. We can go back and forth with accusations, statements and such, but when it all plays out, the purpose of social networking and Yelp type postings is to make potential consumers aware of what happens in the real world. I wish I could tell the world the whole story, but again, I'm under a non-disclosure order not to make any precise statements....ask your lawyer friends what the means, and then put the pieces together. Buyer beware. ------------------ Again, back and forth....you can make accusations of verbal abuse, but without validation or merit, hard to say you are making a truthful statement. If the women who answer (as well as the men) the customers, and if they feel threatened that because they are a female that they have some level of protective distinction, I fail to see how if I express my dissatisfaction with the service, treatment of my vehicle, and their inability to to represent your dealership, Ford Motor Co., and also stand up for me, not the greasy, sloppy, smelly mechanics who chipped my paint, left grease mark on the dash, console and seats, and left carb cleaner smells in the cabin, then who is the responsible person to take the hit? Your service managers wasn't. The owner wasn't. The salesman wasn't. So, of a "female" "male" or other representative was the recipient of verbal dissatisfaction regarding my displeasure, oh well. Also, YOUR dealership was a key point in the lawsuit. Check your records. read more

Beware that if you buy a car from them, they will give your number to "extended warranty" telemarketers who will harass you to no end. Reply to "it's not possible". Then how do these telemarketers know make, model, year, and our phone number associated with the car purchase????? If it's not you, it's ford itself doing it. read more

Had a dead battery issue this morning, called and was asked if I could get the truck there, I was able to and they said bring it right in. Upon arrival I was met by Brooke Ancona, she assisted me with all my needs. Although I had no appointment and with all the issues with Covid, she was able to squeeze me in. If I could give no stars I would. I brought it in for an oil change everything was fine with the car before then. I pick up the car and literally a day later I smell burning coming from the car and my vehicle stalls. I immediately brought it back and they tell me nothing is wrong. Again on my way to work a day later same thing. I brought it to another body shop that tells me that someone severely damaged the transmission beyond repair. Not only are these mechanics if you can call them that dumb as a stump and lazy as a damn sloth on vacation but they damaged my vehicle and didn't even care. So I would highly advise you to NEVER buy a car there or get your car fixed there and especially not an oil change because they can mess up your vehicle as easy as mine. Plus the service writers are rude, disrespectful, and don't give a crap. To add on to the mechanics which are people they hire with no auto mechanic background what so ever and probably previously worked at McDonalds. Bottom line stay away from these sad excuses of human existence! read more

We were coming back home from New York and our battery just stoped at the gas station and the dealership happened to be next to us and they helped us out so we could got back on the road, The lobby was nice and occupied us for the wait which was not long. I took my car for service. What was supposed to have been done was that the wheels were supposed to be rotated. I found out that they never did the job. When I confronted them they said if you come back we will do it for you. I asked to talk to a manager. They said that he would call me t hat night or the next day, He never called. I was there at the old bridge store 4 times within the past month with an appointment to be there. 3 out of the 4 times I was sent home and told to come back either because it was to busy or because the techs don't work on sunroofs during the week. which should've been stated to me every time I called instead of waiting until I got there but, regardless, I was being very patient with them. Every single time i went there I asked the person helping me if everything i needed done was covered in the warranty, and every single time they told me it was.So, I brought it by the last time 2 weeks ago, and they gave me a loaner for the week. Again I asked if it was covered and they said yes. I waited a week then they sent me a bill saying nothing was covered and it would be $10,000 + to fix everything I needed. so naturally i asked them to put my car back together so i could pick it up. As soon as they notified me, my Mother went to pick it up and they charged her $400+ because they told her that i asked them to do a full diag. on what was wrong with the car which i most definitely did not. I went there 4 times and 4 times I told them exactly what I had a problem with. But, my mother doesn't speak English well so she paid it and came home to tell me about it. when she told me this I called the managers number that was on the paperwork that we received but there was no answer, so I left a message explaining this and asking for a call back. It has now been a week and I haven't heard anything back from anyone at Ford. This is outrageous if they think they can just take advantage and not call me back. I have been talking to the Online "chat professional" everyday and everyday they tell me a manager will contact me and they never do. Horrible customer service, Overall a terrible experience. My mom has been a customer of theirs for over 15 years and I can assure them that they just lost 2 customers. If I could give a 0 star review I would. read more

I highly recommend their service department. I take my 2014 Mustang GT here to get routine warranty maintenance as well as Ford Racing upgrades. I had the service team install my Ford Racing suspension system. Their mechanics did a fantastic job with it. My GT rides like it's on rails now. I have also had some exhaust work done and again, very good job. My costumer service associate was Kathy. She was very helpful and overall pleasant to talk to. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is that it takes a long time to get work done here if it's not something like a routine job (oil change, inspection, etc.) They are quite busy and there are always people waiting before the place opens. As for the sales department, I would say just "okay." I did purchase my mustang here, but whenever I am in for service and am browsing the showroom, the salespeople hardly ask "may I help you" and seem quite aloof/indifferent. Steve Kaye sold me my Mustang...very nice guy and easy to work with. But I am always looking around at the new Mustangs and may want some information. I didn't seem to get much help in this regard and had to ask for help at the sales counter. I know that these cars are a niche market, but at least seem interested in your customers...offer some help. read more

The service dept in this dealership is a joke. They right now if you call today will tell you "it will take 7 days to diagnose your vehicle because we're backed up." They have been saying that for months though. So it's not new. So when are they not backed up? That's unacceptable. On top of that if you bought the car from them their policy is to give you a loaner. They will then tell you "there's a 2 week waiting list for that." So basically, wait 2 weeks for a loaner. Bring your car in. Wait 7 days for a diagnostic on it, and then who knows how long to fix it based on parts and other things necessary. I've never heard of such a terrible business motto. No one wants to leave their car at a dealership for 1-2+ weeks, especially for simple repair issues. People shouldn't have to be subjected to that service, or lack of after spending thousands on a new car. Then when asking if you can just come back with the car in 7 days when they're ready the answer is "no it has to stay here." You need to be on their virtual "line." That's a joke and clearly they are confused about what a proper way to handle a customer and their car is. There are many Ford dealerships that will take your money in New Jersey and repair your car in an acceptable and timely manner. Don't bother with this one. And the generic "I'm sorry for your experience we won whatever award" that they post on every 1 Star review is coming for this I'm sure, which alone shows how little they care about their customers. Nothing will be fixed by me calling Old Bridge All American Ford. Please don't suggest it. My advice to the All American Ford In Old Bridge dealership is speak to your service dept and have them work more efficiently because corporate is getting a call and a complaint from me. And when it comes to whatever survey you send my way it'll be negative. Clearly you allow the service dept to work independently and they're doing a horrible job clearly with very little over sight. read more

I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata from All American and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. They had to fix a flat tire before I could take it for a test drive. The morning after I took the car home, the tire was almost flat and I had to take it back at 7:30 am, Tried calling twice with no return call's to see when the car was going to be ready, When I showed up at 12:00 PM was told they forgot to log the car in and had to wait until 2:30 PM to get it back. I made a 7:00 AM appointment to have the backup camera fixed, at 11:00 AM called and left a voicemail for the service department to call me back, no return call when I showed up at 12:00 PM was asked for the keys after it was there since 7:00 AM, and was told it would probably had to send it to Hyundai for repairs. They once again could not find the car and once they found the car was told they would call Hyundai and make an appointment. In frustration, I took the car to Hyundai myself, and two days later was called and asked if I still wanted an appointment made for me and told them no I took care of it. When the car was at Hyundai, The extended warranty company called and told me that they could not authorize the repairs. Because All American did not send them all the paperwork, after numerous voice mails left with the salesperson, Service department and Finance Manager, I had to borrow a friends car to personally go there and sit in the finance managers office until it was resolved. Been back into the shop 7 times so far for weeks at a time until they get an issue temporarily resolved enough for me to get home and out of their shop and then it happens again. Renee and her team came thru for us big today. Dropped off my son's Mustang with a flat tire last night. Renee called to tell us that they didn't have the tire in stock but would have it by tomorrow afternoon. With panic in my voice I explained we needed the car done today because my son was traveling back to school tomorrow and we had a schedule, and reservations that couldn't be changed. Renee and her team spent the next few hours searching high and low for the exact tire we needed. They finally found one in Avenel. They sent their valet to go get it and had the car ready in the next hour. Now that's service!! We are very grateful and appreciative of their dedication to satisfying their customers. read more

I told by "lori" that is was at the Paramus location and it will be there Saturday afternoon and that I just need your credit card information for good faith. I don't think so. Since when is asked for your credit card information to look at a vehicle your interested in. She then said ok it will be here Saturday. I went to see the car and have my 1 1/2 year old truck appraised. I said I have a offer from one of your competitors and I know what it is worth so please don't insult me with a low ball offer. Waiting for the trade in value, the sales person was talking about the vehicle. Of course a low ball offer so I said no deal have a nice day where are my keys. Well my keys were being held hostage up by the counter. I had to reach around and grab them. The worst experience in a dealership ever. These people really amaze me. I had leased a car in July. I was promised a $500 rebate it is now October and I still have not received it. Everytime I call they give me the run around. I have been in contact with the manager and with the corporate office. Why is it that they are so eager to make a sale but when it comes to helping me receive my rebate no one wants to help. Made the mistake of leaving All American and trying a dealer closer to home. All I can say is that I can't wait for my lease to be up. They have the #1 service department. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. I live in Staten Island, when I had a recall, or something that would take over a few hours to fix, they would always book a rental for me, at no additional charge. I initially went to All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ to buy a brand new Ford F-150 Platinum. I was trading my 2013 F150 XLT supercab. The dealership was very nice. They offered me $13,500 for my trade in. It was in very good shape as I take care of my trucks and I am the only driver. I thought the offer was laughable. They said "the blue book value might make you feel fuzzy inside but the reality was that your truck was only worth $13.5" I went to another dealership and was offered $20k for my truck and so I bought it from that dealership. How can they justify $6,500 price value??? I was in the Old Bridge area working so I went to All American Ford over the summer for an oil change. I dealt with a service woman named Renee Senape. She was very nice. I told her that I didn't have a lot of time and needed an oil change. I was having issues with the radio/lcd screen locking up. She informed me that another person had that same issue and they were due in a few days for that same repair . I asked to let me know how long that process was to correct the issue, whether it takes a few hours/days or a simple software upgrade. I explained that I need my truck for my business and she agreed to follow up and made a note of it. I did not hear from Renee the following week. I left her several voicemails .No call back! In the meantime, Ford sent me a survey, I didn't leave very favorable ratings because of this. A few days later I got a call from a service manager named Pat,to remedy the situation and apologize. He was concerned and seemed genuine and told me he would make things right on my next visit. He agreed to have a loaner truck while my vehicle was being serviced if I gave him enough time to sort it out. So a few months later I made an appointment online with several issues that need to be corrected/replaced under mfr.wannanty and requested a truck loaner. . I got a call back a few days ago to confirm my appointment and all the issues to be addressed for repair and loaner truck that was requested. When I got there today on time for my appointment I spoke to Brooke at the desk and said she has me down for an oil change (which I didn't request) and didn't have a truck loaner. She asked what type of work needed to be done and that she had no record of the repairs needed. At this point I left and was once again disappointed with this dealership and will never go back!!!What a waste of my time!!! read more

I use to like this dealer. I had a Ford truck and this was the only dealer I would go to in the past for service although there was 2 other dealers between my home in Middletown and here. But then things changed, I was looking around for a very dependable car for my daughter who was just turning 17. I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape in excellent condition from a private party. I personally drove the car for 2 months everyday when I got it and then it was time to turn it over to her. The car was great for the time I had it until I brought it in to All American for service. I brought it to them on Sept 13, 2017 because I wanted it completely checked out and "detailed" - which, they did very well, and the tire was not responding 100% to the steering wheel. They said it need tie- rods so I told them I needed the car 100% for my daughters safety and paid $842.67 on this visit. I paid, they gave me the keys and said its perfect. The very next day after I gave the car to my daughter, she called me , the car was shaking to the point where she did not know what was wrong. I drove all the way home from work to pick her up, I drove the car home where it had a violent shake the whole way home . Here is where my problem starts, I brought the car back to All American because the car did not do this anytime before I brought it to them - they kept it about a week, then I believe his name was "Matt: called me and said the car needed 2 rear axles and a front axle. I told him the car was fine until I brought it to them the first time, he said no worries, it is a $1200 repair but , then he called me by the wrong name , and said Mr. Howe, it is covered under your -some type of warranty the original owner had, and it would only cost me $150 , then he realized I was not the original owner, it gets better , I asked for some type of discount since the car was perfectly fine before then, and I just spent over $800, he said he asked management and they said no, so I had no choice , my 17 year old daughter is driving this car. He told me he ordered the arts, they were backordered and it would take about 5 weeks to get them. As soon as they come in he would call me. Time went by and I called in, I spoke to I believe a "Jennifer" who told me Matt was no longer there and also the parts were never ordered. Now I have a big problem, totally lost my trust in this dealer, sounds like they were trying to get over on me, then it gets worse , I brought the car to another Ford Dealer who told me the axles were fine but they said they thought it was the driveshaft, another $1100 later, the problem is still not fixed. Now I do not know what to do, I have no more $$ . my daughter cannot drive the car in its current condition and all I know is that I was driving the car for two months and it was perfectly fine before I brought it to All American. Atrocious service. Put up with the inattentive service advisors because the work appeared to be of decent quality, but in the last year that has fallen off a cliff. The most recent visit was the last straw. Simple brake pad change and completing a recall on some rear suspension parts has led to a complete disaster. The vehicle was unsafe to drive after the brake pads were improperly installed and the rear suspension work done incorrectly. The service manager then refused to offer a refund for the work done, and now the vehicle makes a dull thud noise when the steering wheel is turned to the right. I'll be finding somewhere else to go from now on. AVOID! read more

We bought a Ford Escape Titanium from All American Ford a month ago. From beginning to end, they were fair, helpful, and led with customer service, even including follow up calls and a personal letter of thanks from Pete. They did not give us any runaround or try to gouge us on price, nor did they try to push us into a purchase or bully us with false claims. I would highly recommend and feel safe going to this dealership. I've never had a less stereotypical experience with a car dealership before.
