Got a recall notice for a trailer tow module on my RAM pickup. Called the service department and they had to order the part(s) before I could set an appointment. I got called about a week later that the part(s) were in and was then helped to make an appointment. Even though my formal appointment was mid morning, they said they'd be able to take care of me if I showed up at 7AM opening - which I did. I was about 7th in line but as promised, they took me right in and the work was completed as I waited exactly at the estimated time. The waiting area was comfortable and offered refreshments and other amenities. The staff I met were friendly and professional. Overall a very good experience, much better than past experiences at other dealerships of various brands. read more

I have purchased from Buhler and had service done on previous vehicles and my current Jeep that was not purchased there. Unfortunately my Sales rep no longer works there but have dealt with the current staff and have nothing negative to say. The service department is solid but they will push air and cabin filters at astronomical prices. As most of us know those filters are the easiest to replace. The service department opens early on Saturday which is a huge plus for regular maintenance. The service department helped me out a few years ago when a water pump failed on a leased Durango. My boss just ordered a new Challenger from them, they honored all rebates and Alliance pricing which a lot of dealers are refusing given the current supply chain issues. If you are in the market for a Dodge or Jeep, I would not hesitate to give them an opportunity. read more

Buyer Beware. My partner and I bought our Jeep from Buhler and have only ever gotten the jeep serviced here. Every single time we come they always try to upsell us on things that could possibly be wrong with our Jeep. My biggest frustration though is that every single time we have been here the water pump has to be replaced. 5 Times in 4 years! The most annoying part is instead of trying to figure out why this keeps happening the arrogant, condescending Service Advisor Timothy Kinney says "well I don't make the part so not my fault." You know what they say about Used Car salesman. Buhler & Bitter are the perfect example of that type of salesman. I bought a car from Emil Molina (salesman) and disclosed to me that the check engine light was caused by a Canister Purge Valve, a $30.00 item. Besides Allen (the finance guy) sold me an extended warranty from Allstate that he told me would cover anything else that would come up. The extended warranty cost $3000.00. Good deal if it covers anything. So I took it to a mechanic to repair the Canister Purge valve. They looked at the car and found several problems that Buhler & Bitter knew about and didn't tell me. Both rear differential axel seals are leaking, loose rear stabilizer links, right rear upper control arm joints are loose and bad catalytic converter. About $4000.00. No problem. I bought the Allstate extended warranty that would cover those repairs. Nope, they denied the claim because they said it was previous existing conditions. Doesn't any used car have previous existing conditions? So I paid for $3000.00 for an extended warranty that will deny any repair claim that comes up saying it is previous existing condition and I will be paying $4000.00 for the repairs that should have been covered. That is not including new tires, new rear brakes, engine air filter and cabin air filter that I will be responsible to pay for myself. I guess I'm responsible to pay for everything anyway. $3000.00 for an extended warranty that doesn't pay for anything. I'm sure the mechanics at Buhler & Bitter told them about these issues. I thought about selling the car but I don't feel right selling the car to anyone in it's present condition. I am not a used car salesman. I have a conscious, integrity and need to sleep at night. Something Emil and Allen apparently don't have. I'm sure they went out and had a nice dinner and drinks saying they got another sucker to buy a piece of garbage. On to the next sucker! read more

The service from this place is way overpriced. Start from the parts. They said that my Jeep needs a new drive shaft and had me prepaid more than $1500 for the part that will take more than 30 days to arrive. I soon checked online and found that you can get the same genuine part from Autozone for $400 to $800.. I called to cancel the order. Naturally, they did not want to cancel. But finally they agreed to cancel the pending parts order and promised a refund. But after the cancelation, the salesman kept on delaying issuing the refund with different excuses anywhere from their accounting needs a week to process, the accounting person is not available for two days, the check is in the mail, etc. I called every a few days. More than two weeks after the cancellation now, a check is still not ready for me to pick up. read more

Typical sleazy, corrupt, dealership but they take it to the next level. They offer you free things and then don't follow up. They claim certain things you're getting a good price for and they charge you for something else to balance out what they "gave you a discount on." Do not purchase anything from these criminals. They over charge for everything, screw you over on every sale they make, and take advantage of every single customer that walks through their doors. I bought my last Grand Cherokee Overland at Buhler and got an exceptional deal. I visited the dealership this weekend (9/3/22) and dealt with a salesman Flo and a sales manager. I had them evaluate my vehicle which was pristine. They valued my vehicle at $ 36,400 (Galve Book Value). Then they informed me that $1800.00 would be deducted off their value for advertising and dealer prep of the car. Bringing my value of my trade in to $34,600. I went to Worldwide Jeep who gave me a full value of $37,500 for a trade in with no deductions and then I went to Freehold Jeep who also gave me an offer of $37,500 for my vehicle with no deductions. I ultimately purchased at Freehold Jeep because they had the vehicle I wanted to buy in stock. I am very disappointed with Buhler Jeep with this advertising/prep nonsense deducting from the trade in value. Its bad enough that dealers ask sticker price with no negotiations. Plus it didn't matter I was a REPEAT customer who referred several friends to the dealership. read more

Only 1 star becuase i can't give less. I use this dealer becuase they are 5 miles from my house. I have for decades. I also know alot about cars. Once again, they changed my rotors, by their admission after 22.000 miles, they said too much rust. I made them return the rotors, there is almost a half inch of rotor on each side, they could easily have been cut, but they decided to replace them anyway. This isnt an oddity, last time ti challenged them on rear drums, i drove 30K miles more when I wouldnt let them replace. Everything here is designed to steal money from their client. I bought my Jeep from teh dealer, I was told i would have easy access to loners, The only time i got a loner was prior to that purchase when i had my old Jeep. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. read more

I was in the area for business. My Jeep's battery died while I was in town. I had it towed to Buhler for service. They were great. The service dept was about to close shop for the day. Ryan was very helpful. He suggesting the hotel, since I had to stay in town overnight while they fixed the Jeep. I got my Jeep back the next day with no really long wait time. read more

Unethical loan practices, I returned my vehicle to the Leasing Company (Fusion) Auto Leasing, The loan for this vehicle was being serviced by the TFCU. Buhler set me up with this auto loan program 4 years ago and it wasn't a good idea from the start. Seems as though Fusion paid the loan servicer what they felt the residual value of what the vehicle was. And now the rest is on me to pay? This was never disclosed to me. And why is a major automotive company using a 3rd party to finance my loan? My credit score is in the low 800's!! Stay FAR AWAY. There has to be some kickbacks involved for this dealership to be using such a non conventional way of buying or leasing vehicles? Anyway im never going back to them. and i suggest you drive past them as well read more

Ok look, I know they are in the business to make money but we were told $400 for tire balancing. FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. Not mounting and balancing, just to put tires on the machine and balance. And if you don't get it done, there's a $200 "diagnostic fee". It's a complete ripoff. Combined with service employees who are less than friendly or helpful (and who could use a lesson in customer service) we won't be going there again for repairs, or our next purchase. read more

So far I've had an above average experience with Buhler Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership. In June 2017 I leased a Dodge Durango and my salesperson was Sean. He was very patient and helpful with the entire process. I bring my truck back here for maintenance (oil changes and tire rotations) and haven't had any issues at all. The maintenance is a little more money than the average body shop but I don't mind spending the extra money for great service. Plus every 3 oil changes, you get the 4th free. read more

I have a jeep wrangler which had a broken soft top zipper. I brought the jeep into Buhler Serivce to see if it was covered under repair since the jeep was two years old. Bob from service submitted three pictures of the broken zipper part to Jeep customer care...Four days later, I had to call Bob for an update on the coverage eligibility. Bob said, Oh, Jeep did not cover the broken part, but he could have the part sent out for repair and have it repaired for a few hundred dollars from a local vendor. I called Jeep Customer care. The representative from jeep care said they would cover the part. I brought the jeep to Freehold Jeep and they worked with Jeep Service corporate and replaced the broken part... no charge and no hassle. Overall, Buhler service did not want to be bothered, could care less about this and was ready to give me a bill for a repair which was covered. All Bob had to do was call Jeep customer service and advocate on my behalf. Glad I went to the service department at Freehold Jeep and Advocated for myself. I will no longer be going to Buhler service for my Jeep...... read more

Just an update on my issue with my 2020 Dodge Durango. It is at another nearby dealer to have the whole steering package replaced, approx $5700 cost. All this after I was told the car was fine after a used care inspection and supposedly a repair the first time for the issue by Buhler. Then 9 mos later I am told I am one day out of warranty so it was Chrysler's issue, not Buhler's even though it was fixed the first time by Buhler as told by the assistant manager. I went to matt, the sales rep ( who was very attentive) unfortunately this place could not keep their word. I travelled from Staten island every other day, got accepted for a RT durango. Only for them each time to switch payments, or say problems with signer, need a co signer. I got a co signer, when to pick up the car they than said the bank did not approve me..... they switched up on me to many times. I left 6 other dealers for this place for a recommendation and they ended up screwing me over. I called to speak to a manager, they said hell call me. HE.
