Jalen with Mr Appliance also came when they said they would come and resolved the issue quickly and easily. The issue was a grinding noise that our less than three year old dryer was making. an obvious sign that something was not right. Jalen suspected a potential blower motor issue and got to work on resolving it. 25 minutes later the problem was fixed: Excess lint buildup that got through the lint trip and into the machine, causing the motor to have to work harder than it needed to. He showed me all of the lint he pulled out, but he piled it up on the runner below the dryer and on the top of our glass-topped washing machine, requiring me to clean off the washer and wash the runner. In addition, it was $243 for less than a half hour of his time. If the service call is $129, that would make the hourly rate $200 for Mr Appliance--I am clearly in the wrong line of work! Unfortunately I can't really give more than three stars given the cost and cleanup from the appointment.

We thought about trying to do it ourselves with a blower but so glad we had them come out because we had a birds nest in our vent for a long time - huge fire hazard. Thank goodness we had a smart dryer that stopped working because of the clog. It would've been super cool if they were able to put on a cover/cage so the birds didn't come back again because we don't have a ladder that's tall enough. Obviously outside of their scope but might be something to consider for an extra price.
