On January 12th a tech came out to check on residual water at the bottom of my dishwasher. He said I needed to replace a part which he then replaced for me and told me would solve the problem. I noticed water at the bottom again and Eberhardt sent another tech two days later. He did some computer testing and said everything seemed fine and there is always that amount of residual water at the bottom. I asked why the first tech didn't just tell me that and was told " no one had probably ever asked that question before". Unfortunately I'd already paid them. I feel like they were dishonest with me. Waited MONTHS for service to come out to fix our dishwasher. The first time out they needed to order parts. 17 year old stayed home during summer break to let first technician in the door. No problems. Return technician shows up TWO MONTHS LATER and refuses to fix dishwasher without someone over 18 present. This is TERRIBLE service. Why enter the fist time, but refuse the second. We even told him it is fine to go ahead and repair the dishwasher. This company made NO DISCLOSURE beforehand that someone over 18 needed to be present. This is TERRIBLE service. Waiting months for down appliances to be repaired and then to leave over something like this. As if a few months age makes ANY difference. If going to make requirements like this they MUST be disclosed beforehand. read more

Bought a refrigerator from Home Depot and ice maker didn't work after installation. Home Depot contracted Eberhardt to come fix the issue since it is covered under warranty. The repair person looked at it for about 15 minutes and says I couldn't find anything wrong with it. He adjusted the fridge and freezer temps, and then said keep an eye on it. If it still doesn't make ice we will have to contact Frigidaire. read more

Tim came to look at my leaking LG dishwasher and determined that the drain hose in it from a wear point. Tim returned back to the shop and ordered the necessary parts. Mike was then scheduled to return with the necessary parts and install them. Mike arrived and installed the new parts: door gasket, and drain hose. I found both Tim and Mike to be very knowledgeable and helpful. They provided a lot of background information as to why this 2015 LG dishwasher had issues and how to prevent or mitigate the problems in the future. Their technician, Mike, flat out told us that he would not report a known issue with our washer to LG because he doesn't want LG to think he's incompetent and he gets a lot of business from LG. I have had nothing but bad experiences with incorrectly installed dishwashers for the last 10 years, having relied on Home Depot 'contractors' and the like. And when I moved to a new house last summer, it was more of the same - another poorly installed dishwasher. So I contacted the manufacturer, and they put me in contact with Eberhardt. I can't tell you how refreshing it was to meet with such a professional and nice guy. He went the extra mile to fix the previous installer's mistakes, and now my dishwasher is working great! Hi all- Let me tell you the facts. Our dryer was making a very loud noice. Online they said that is caused by the rollers and the belt being worn. The repair technician has at my house for less then an hour. I was charged $105 for labor. I was also charged $120 for diagnostic. I diagnosed the problem! I have never been charged this when I went with the repairs. After I called a different repair service and they said they always waive the diagnostic fee when you go with the repair. I was also charged $87 for one roller and the belt. The kit with 4 rollers and a belt is $23 at Home Depot. The bill came to $295. In my opinion the the repair should have been half that. Was his time worth $225 for less than an hour. I learned my lesson to ask questions. Don't make the same mistake as me. read more

Tim came out to fix my Kenmore Elite double oven after Sears failed to figure out what was wrong - twice. He understood the issue immediately and was able to tell me exactly what was needed. Whoever had originally installed the oven had improperly installed a power cord (internal home wiring issue). I was able to get that aspect addressed and Tim was able to replace the lower oven part immediately. The other technicians hadn't even looked in the area where the oven was malfunctioning. When the upper oven later experienced an unrelated problem. Tim came over the next day and was able to again address the problem. The Sears service line had been useless in helping me evaluate the problem. Professional, courteous and very experienced with all sorts of appliance problems. He is straight forward and very careful not to mess up or damage your home. Very reasonable prices. He is my go-to guy for appliances - he can save you a bunch of phone calls. read more

This is a review update. There was an initial issue contacting the company, and some confusion with the estimate vs billed price. However, The owner did contact me and we did resolve our issues to my satisfaction. The service tech that came out and did the work was very professional and friendly. I have received the best consultation and repair experience from this company. The demonstrated knowledge and honest, respectful advice on what to do with repair vs. replacement gives me the sense that I'm dealing with an expert in the field and a thoughtful individual in my home. I have received advice and repairs on High end German appliances and low end Chinese manufactured products and in every situation the expertise and honesty saved me money. In each situation that I have called on this company I have either gotten the best repair the 1st visit or advice that led me to better savings in the future (like replacing the product when repairs would lead to more cost down the road). This is one of the few companies I actually look forward to dealing with even if the reason for the call is that something I'm dependent on is no longer working. read more

Had them out twice two different techs. Problem never addressed. Same issue. Looked at my refrigerator said they had to order parts. And would return to install the parts. 3 months later nothing. I have sent emails called and left messages. No one answers the phone. Just a machine. It is A Samsung ice maker issue, Gasket and broken shelf. Not earth shattering. Very disappointed. read more

Eberhardt was the service provider that American Home Shield contacted on our behalf for a service call on our 48" Dacor range/oven. Tim the owner, made the appointment and misdiagnosed the issue with our oven door as a faulty lock mechanism. A week later, he contacted me and told me the dacor part was no longer available for him to do the repair. I contacted Akrit Appliance Service who is a factory authorised service provider for Dacor. They came and diagnosed the issue correctly as door hinges that needed replacing (in minutes), had the parts on the truck and completed the repairs all in less than an hour. They also confirmed the door lock as a part that is still available should we ever need that part replaced. Tim Eberhardt misdiagnosed, provided inaccurate information on the replacement part and cost me a service call fee with the home warranty company. Additionally, the home warranty said they would no longer accept any service calls on our Dacor range as they deemed the appliance not repairable based on Tim's feedback that the part need was no longer available. They offered us a cap of $3,000 replacement cost on a $25,000 range and we would have to provide receipt of a new oven/range before they would take a service call in the future on that particular appliance. Needless to say, Tim's inaccuracy in diagnosing the real problem plus his lack of sourcing an available part, led to a host of issues for us. We no longer use the Home Warranty company and would not recommend Eberhardt Services either. read more

Eberthardt Services was the appliance repair company dispatched for me by my home warranty company and I was very pleased with their service. From their communication right after I filed my claim, to Tim's (the tech) confirmation of my appointment and his on-time arrival the next day. They were on top of it. Within five minutes of him arriving at my home, he had diagnosed the issues on both my oven and my d/w. The next day, I had confirmation from my warranty company that both units were being replaced, because parts were no longer available for either unit. Tim called after the appointment to make sure that I knew that both appliances were being replaced and what to do next. I even called Tim a few days later to ask some follow up questions about what brands he would recommend and he was very willing to help me and to answer my questions.
