Instead, they said they fixed, they did not, and then when I took it back they tried to convince me that the screen "burned out", which it absolutely did not. They may be able to help people with printer configuration, phone fixes and that sort of stuff, but when it comes to an actual repair on a laptop, forget it. I have been a software design engineer for 40 years, they don't have a clue outside of simple fixes. I highly recommend seeking other resource for any real repair work. I will still charge almost $90 and they didn't accomplish anything. I will end up having to spend time and repair it myself. Was just trying to save my own hassle, but if you want something done right, I guess you gotta do it yourself. I suggest staying away from the corporate, high volume repair stores, the hire mostly flunkies who don't really have a clue. And they weren't really all that nice to me either. Not impressed. I won't be back, that's for certain.

I've lived near this place for forever, but have never been inside. It is more than just a…read morecellphone store; it's also a custom computer building shop as well as a computer repair shop. I decided to drop my desktop off to be looked at as it's been dead for a little while. They diagnose desktops for free (laptops are $45) so I was stoked about the deal! .Philip called me back after just a couple of hours with my machine, he'd diagnosed the problems and had parts to repair my PC already in the shop. I decided I wanted to do some upgrades as well while he had my machine, so he gave me a menu of prices and options. The work, which wasn't minor, was done the next day. There was a $50 labor charge, which may have negated the "free" diagnostic, but the man needs to get paid somehow! FYI, they may ask you to put down a deposit if you have them do a lot of work or order parts for you, don't be alarmed. In short, if you need a computer repaired, Adcom should be your first stop.
