All showed up in smaller 16 ft trucks and some showed up with only 2 guys. Between these four moving companies they placed my belongings back and forth in an unsecured garage that had previous field mice activity (droppings present). Between the previous movers, they moved my belongings, including a new bed and mattress still in plastic, into the garage and back into my house multiple times between all of these movers. I have a bad back and there's nothing I could do about it. It was a legitimate mess created by four previous movers. These guys were coming in to save the day. However, this company was unable to complete the move too. I requested a 26 ft. truck and three guys. Three of the nicest guys showed up but with a small truck, again. They said they were going to get gloves due to visible droppings and showed back up at my house over an hour later in hazmat suits due. I said let's just junk everything. They were supposed to give me a quote for junking the entire garage but that never happened. Due to the drama and not completing my move and/or junking request, I don't recommend. Thanks.

They were extremely kind and patient with my mother-in-law, and she felt very much at ease with them. They showed up on time, they work with excellent attitudes, and if we ever need a moving company in this area, we will definitely go to them.

Well, that was an experience. While the front office and crew were professional and personable in…read moretheir demeanor, and worked steadily, they were not adept at moving difficult objects. They had a hard time taking down a piece that was taken upstairs, marking up my walls and damaging the piece in the process. Another piece was damaged but that was likely due to old glue, not anything they did incorrectly. I also noticed that they tended to make more work for themselves, which isn't a huge negative but if they are taking additional time, then it is. But I did not get that sense. Perhaps they are more skilled than I know and that my house did not require the panoply of skills they might have but it was hard to tell. Another frustration was how they listened to instruction. Admittedly, I talk fast, think fast and expect people to keep up but that didn't happen. I could have made myself more explicit up front so I didn't have to manage the process, and perhaps I should have. Now I have many boxes in the wrong rooms. Or perhaps it would not have made a difference if I was more explicit. I packed myself and marked boxes with breakable objects in boxes with 8x11 white labels showing them as "fragile". It didn't matter and many boxes came back crushed. When I looked into the back of the truck, boxes and totes were stacked 5-7 deep and the ones on the bottom were crushing. Finally, they left a few of my things wrapped up and I needed to unwrap those and clean up after them. It's a damn good thing I know something about movers; In packing and instructions, I always assume the worst handling and pack accordingly. So with luck, I don't find more damage. Pros: Reasonable rates; very professional front office; personable crews that worked hard; none of the "movers games" that you hear so much about; finished in only 75% of the original estimated time. Cons: Charges a fee to take credit cards, movers aren't as skilled as others I've see; damage to furniture that made many prior moves, and stacking boxes/bins with abandon. In sum, I would use them again if I had less to move (and less to pack), and did not have all of the weight that they moved. And if I could move sensitive items separately.

We did a full service move - pack, move and unpack - and they were wonderful. They were patient and careful (Matt and Brian are the sweetest - and fast packers!) and made sure my parents' bed was assembled for them to sleep on in their new house. Not one thing broken and the communication was great. The price was very fair for such extensive service and matched the original quote. I can't recommend them enough!

They answered our questions, explained the whole process and we needed to move up our move by a week, last minute, and they happily accommodated our schedule. Moving day arrived and it was one of the hottest days of the year! They said they would be at the house between 8:30 and 9:30, they showed up at 8:25 and immediately got to work. The guys hustled and had our belongings packed and ready to go faster than expected. The Movesmith also agreed to stop at our storage unit on the way to the new house and load that up for us as well. The crew worked hard all day, they took excellent care of our belongings and were careful not to mark up our newly painted walls. My wife and I were blown away by the service we received and the price was less than I expected. The owner even stopped by at one point to see how things were going. You cannot ask for better service. If you need movers, The Movesmith is the way to go. I cannot recommend them enough.

I then asked how to move forward - no answer for three days. On the third day I asked again if someone could please reach out and tell me the next steps and the reply, the next day was that they wanted to know my destination and inventory (ummmm you were given that originally). I again gave the destination pickup/drop off and full inventory list. That was three days ago, no response. Honestly, how can you be a reputable company when you don't respond to client requests? If the job was something they didn't/couldn't do, the least they could do is tell you instead of ignoring you. If this is how they respond in the beginning then how are they going to be with managing your move? Danger, danger Will Robinson.

Nate sent me numbers and said everything had to be packed up and ready to go for his team. I asked if they could do one thing - wrap my furniture in blankets - and he answered "no, it's our policy not to wrap the furniture with pads prior to putting them in the truck, as it makes it very difficult to carry the items. I apologize that we won't be able to meet your specific needs and we will not be able to move you." I emailed him back, said I'd be OK with that (even though it wasn't ideal for me), and I haven't heard back. This was 4 days ago. Being a business owner myself, this is not how you treat a repeat customer. Based on this poor experience I would not recommend Smooth Moving Pros.

We were moving my wife's mother's furniture from her assistant living home to two homes in NJ/PA. We were rushed and didn't read Yelp feedback on this seemly small local moving firm. All My Sons is not a local firm and the estimating and billing part of the company is suspect headed by 3 so called managers, headed by Tim Smith. We were told that our estimate was subject to change post move. That was a lie as the estimate I signed to All My Sons a binding contract. Although they took the Packing Materials off misc. charges were increased with no justification. The time reduction (4 to 3 hours) was not honored. When we asked why we were told that's the price you agreed to - Wrong, a lie. So stay far away from All My Sons when you need a mover. And Tony and team; run away as your services can be employed much better with a reputable firm.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not just the worst move I've ever had, but one of…read morethe worst customer service experiences imaginable. The amount of valuables, family heirlooms, and furniture they damaged is staggering, much of it irreplaceable. Before the move even began, communication was a disaster. I was promised a moving coordinator would contact me a week beforehand. They never did. I had to call the day before my move, and even then the coordinator repeatedly got my two pickup locations wrong. The movers arrived an hour late in a rented Penske truck with little to no packing materials or proper moving equipment. At the first pickup, a 700-square-foot third-floor apartment, they immediately complained about the stairs. My partner and I quickly realized they weren't actually working. Two movers spent long stretches sitting in the truck on their phones while the third spent nearly an hour wrapping a couch that didn't need wrapping instead of protecting fragile items. Despite asking them multiple times to keep moving and properly wrap breakables, they continued wasting time. My partner eventually carried many items from the rooftop down to the first floor himself because otherwise nothing was getting done. They even asked us to help move heavier furniture, which is exactly what we hired them to do. It took them five hours to empty a one-bedroom apartment. At the storage unit, they left belongings sitting in the hallway until I returned to help them. They also completely destroyed a large china cabinet because they didn't wrap or know how to move it. It was damaged beyond repair. After 8.5 hours to move a one-bedroom apartment and a small storage unit, they finally headed to my new home. That's when they informed me my bill had increased to nearly three times the original estimate. Once there, they ignored all instructions about where furniture and boxes belonged, piling nearly everything into one room until it was impossible to walk through. The final straw was when they left much of my heavy furniture sitting on the sidewalk in a downtown neighborhood and then had the audacity to TEXT me asking ME to come help move it. I ended up calling friends, and we finished moving everything they piled on the sidewalk in about 30 minutes, because that's what productivity looks like. To top it all off, they stood on my front steps waiting for a tip. I tipped them only because I wanted them to leave. After spending days fixing their mistakes and unpacking, I discovered even more damage, including: * Vintage Restoration Hardware media console * Vintage Maitland-Smith coffee table (glass top missing) * Three framed artworks * Shelf from my custom-made vitrine * Entire china cabinet * Two planters * Glass shelf frame * Two curtain rods I'm still finding damaged items. All My Sons didn't make my move easier--they made it exponentially harder. I paid professional movers and ended up doing much of the heavy lifting myself while paying nearly three times the quoted price and watching irreplaceable belongings be destroyed. Avoid this company at all costs. Save yourself the money, stress, and heartbreak. Run, don't walk, to another moving company, task rabbit, anything but them.
