This is a family owned and operated business in Mililani that specialize in water heaters. They are fast, friendly and efficient and even haul away your old heater at no extra cost, what more can you ask for!? I called Friday morning around 8:30am and they were at my place around 12:30pm. Come to find out my water heater was less than 6 years old. They offered to stop working at no charge if I wanted to reach out to the previous installer since I should be under warranty. I declined because my experience with the previous company wasn't the best and they were already there. Martin offered a $100 discount because he felt bad that we were having to get a new water heater so soon. I was very grateful for his kindness and it made me even happier that I was able to support this small family run local business. The job was done in about an hour and Martin even helped me register my water heater online. He told me I had a 6 year warranty on the heater and 2 year warranty on labor. I will definitely reach out to Air-O-Smith again with any future water heater needs and have already referred one of my neighbors. What I thought would be about 1k was over 4k. A quarter of the price of my roof project. I was charged $850 by Matt for the removal of my old unit and the installation of a new dishwasher that only cost $400. Despite the Matthew claim of 20 years of experience, the quality of work was unacceptable. When I ran the machine for the first time as instructed, it leaked water onto my counter and floor. Furthermore, it appears that Matthew billed me for the time he spent training an apprentice who accompanied him. The installation was handled unprofessionally by Matt and resulted in property mess and a non-functional setup. Addendum: I am writing to address the Emergency Plumbing and Solar response to my recent review: Your claim that bringing an apprentice does not increase consumer costs contradicts what I was told directly by your plumber, Matthew. He explicitly cited the cost of the apprentice, the cost for his license "and otherwise we (MATTHEW) can't make a living" as justifications for the high price I was charged. I feel the service I received was deceptive and incompetent. Furthermore, you stated that you have flat-rate pricing. However, when I called to request an estimate for a dishwasher installation and removal, your office repeatedly refused to provide a quote over the phone. They essentially did an over haul of our plumbing (just didn't do the parts that would require a tear up of my house which I appreciate). So far everything works great and they were great about explaining everything that was happening. Stuart also fixed a leaking shower only to find out the people that originally installed it were missing pieces and they set our new toilet. He also did a few other random add ons by us which we're thankful for. Best of all we have a toddler that absolutely adored them and they were great with him. Our son can be annoying and in your face and they never seemed to get upset or annoyed and just rolled with it which I truly appreciated. Truthfully our son was sad when the work was done and they no longer came around. We highly recommend you check them out!
