    Beef udon
    Cameron W.

This place is so cool. Very clique and masculine but approachable decor, dark and clean. I sat at the bar, but the listening room in the far back looked really sick, perfect for a date night. The music was obviously great, and the sound quality was amazing. The wait staff was all really warm and friendly and attentive. I got the yuzu and white peach drink, which was nice and fruity, would definitely order again. The shrimp shumai was amazing, I wish we had gotten two orders of this. I liked the beef udon as well, super filling. Will be back!

Intimate, romantic, and electric. Highly recommend if you are a lover of old school jazz. Had such a wonderful time vibing out alongside the dj with a great bottle of red wine!!! Photography is limited and reservations are strongly encouraged.

Mezcal Pal. $24. Mezcal, sake vermouth (Oka Kura Bermutto? ,) persimmon liqueur. Tasty unique drink. Pricey but good

Side note: PDF menu is here though it is missing some of the descriptions of some of the J whiskeys- https://static1.squarespace.com/static/614bad1dbbadbf0819161858/t/659377f9656a4b2672ab1ff0/1704163321676/AllBlues_Menu_R8.pdf A jazz bar and audiophile paradise, All Blues lists itself as a "Musiquarium," or in other words, a place to listen to and appreciate music using old school high-end music equipment. In this case as per the name, it is blues and in most cases older blues with my favorite song I haven't heard yet being Keep That Same Old Feeling by Side Effect which worked perfectly with their old high fidelity speakers. Speaking of which, I found that the songs which had more lows sounded better than the higher pitched things which I find pretty commonly with that speaker equipment at least from what I've heard before as those expressed better with the subtle noises being picked up nicely. In short, the less high vocals a song had, the better it sounded there. The bar consists of two areas; the front bar; and the back very dimly lit room as the "Listening Theatre." In the front area, people speak though not super loudly and the back area is for listening where people have to keep their voices to a minimum as you're here to listen to music. The person in front, Cornelius, explained the rules and everything else and also showcased the various speakers and other equipment. He also came back there to shush folks who were too loud. In terms of food, we didn't have any (as we had just had dinner at Uluh) but it's mostly traditional Japanese food with a lot of the food of course being Izakaya oriented which makes sense as they concentrate more on drinks it seems than food itself. The drink menu consists of a few wines, a serious collection of mostly Japanese whiskey ranging from around $16 to around $80 (for a shot of some fancy aged Yamazaki or Suntory of course) as well as shochu, a few other hard liquors, a single Suntory beer for $16 (which is a bit absurd,) a bit of wine, sake, and a nice cocktail menu. To drink, I went with one of their fancy cocktails. Apparently the most popular one is the Vanilla Boulevardier with infused whiskey, gin, sweet vermouth, and wood chips, which is presented smoking at the table (it had as strong whiff from another seat.) I instead went with the Mezcal Pal for $24 with mezcal, sake vermouth (which I presume is Oka Kura Bermutto,) and persimmon liqueur. For a fancy cocktail bar charging $22 and $26 for a cocktail, I do suggest that they list the liquors used as they appear proud of their selection such as the type of mezcal and I wish that it was one large ice cube. In terms of the drink, it was complex with some light sweetness, a light kick of alcohol, a subtle floral flavor from the persimmon, and a smokey bite from the mezcal. The drink was comparable to ones I've had at other fancy cocktail bars with it being probably $4 more than it should with the expected little stipend from it being a fancy Japanese bar in Tribeca. I'm not exactly sure if there's going to be big enough niche (even in Tribeca) for this place to survive but who knows. The drinks were good and if the food is good, they can probably make it for at least a good while. I would come back to listen to audio here and have some food and drink some more of their excellent cocktails. This spot overall gets a low 4 mostly for the price point and the slight pretentiousness which is a bit obligatory with the whole audiophile experience.

This place is a hidden gem. The listening bar concept is lovely. Audio quality really is excellent - the team gives you a tour of the space when you arrive and clearly takes pride in their speakers. I could sit for hours listening to the (very well curated) tracks. Warm, attentive service from a passionate team. Great cocktails. I didn't try any food, but that will be on the list for my next visit.

I loved our experience at All Blues! The music was such a vibe, I truly enjoyed hearing the curated music selection. I am super interested in experiencing the listening room, as we spent our evening at the bar area. In the bar area, you can chat and enjoy the food whereas in the listening room, conversation isn't encouraged and the music is meant to be at the forefront of the experience with food as an added bonus. The food was also delicious! I really enjoyed the fried anchovies! They were my favorite. I also enjoyed the bluefin tuna bowl, but I wish they had given me more fish because it was very tasty! Portion sizing was a little small with that dish in particular. The gyoza was tasty, but my sister did complain about the gyoza sticking to her teeth. The service was also amazing! We were given a short tour of the space, and were also delighted with a few stories from some of the staff! The musical knowledge they have is so interesting! I learned so much about the music that was being played and even some of the artists! They do not allow photography, so I sadly can't include any photos of the space or the food, but trust me when I say it was extremely aesthetic and delicious! I can't wait to go back! I would give them a SPARKLING 5 stars

Really nice listening bar. It's more for smaller groups of 2-4 but great place to relax and enjoy some good tunes.

We walked into a cozy, intimate space that felt more like a traditional Japanese noodle shop than a large restaurant, with a warm, understated energy that kept the attention on the food. The dining room was modest and inviting, with a layout that accommodated a steady flow of customers, and the focus was clearly on the quality of the noodles and the care that went into each bowl. The udon was the highlight of the meal. The noodles had a thick, chewy texture that showed the difference between freshly made udon and typical packaged noodles, and the broth was flavorful without feeling too heavy, with a savory depth that paired well with the noodles. We ordered a few different bowls and found the shrimp tempura udon standing out, with the tender shrimp, crispy tempura coating, and rich broth coming together in a way that felt complete. The restaurant also offers different styles of udon, including hot and cold options, which gave us good variety depending on what we were looking for. Beyond the udon, Raku has a selection of additional dishes that complement the meal. The menu keeps the focus on Japanese comfort food, and the smaller dishes made it easy to add something extra without taking away from the main bowl. We appreciated that the restaurant does not overcomplicate the food and instead focuses on getting the fundamentals right. The dining experience is more relaxed and intimate, though the space is limited and can get busy during peak hours. Reservations are helpful, especially during popular dining times, and seating can feel a little tight because of the smaller layout. Despite the size, the atmosphere works well for enjoying a slower meal centered around a warm bowl of udon. The staff moved through the room with a quiet efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the experience smooth and unhurried. Overall, Raku is a great spot for anyone looking for high-quality udon in NYC. The handmade noodles, flavorful broths, and simple approach to Japanese comfort food make it stand out. It is the type of restaurant we would return to when craving a satisfying bowl of noodles rather than a more casual ramen-style meal.

I've taken a lot of friends here over the course of 10 years, and without fail, every one of them has walked out mindblown--and why wouldn't they?! The wait times have gotten better over the years (probably because people are waiting for the restaurant next door), but the food and drinks here are still top-notch. Staff is always great, and they all work so efficiently. I am generally a fan of izakayas, but there are very few that offer plates that are designed to be shareable, and this is one of the reasons the food here is so enjoyable in a small group setting. I am obviously biased and think they can do no wrong, but some of my staples that have stood the test of time: Kimchi cream udon, avocado tofu salad, salmon sashimi tacos, and the kani cream croquettes. I was so excited when they opened an outpost in Flushing years ago, but sadly it shuttered during COVID. It is definitely small and there is always going to be a wait, so don't be those people who come in with a huge group during prime time because they like to move (getting customers in and out) very fast.

Even before the food arrives, the restaurant leaves a strong impression with its stunning Japanese-inspired interior. The space is beautifully designed, blending warmth and elegance in a way that feels both inviting and refined. From the soft lighting to the natural wood accents and thoughtfully arranged decor, everything about the atmosphere feels intentional. It captures the intimate charm of a traditional izakaya while still feeling modern and stylish, making it a wonderful setting for anything from a casual dinner to a more special night out. The food more than lived up to the beauty of the space. One of the first highlights was the salmon onigiri, a dish that proved how satisfying simplicity can be when it is done well. The rice was soft, fresh, and perfectly formed, holding together without feeling too compact, while the salmon added a savory richness that made each bite feel comforting and flavorful. It was balanced, delicate, and deeply satisfying in a way that made it memorable despite its simplicity. The seared salmon salad was another standout. The salmon itself was beautifully prepared, with a lightly seared exterior that gave it a subtle crispness, while the inside remained tender, buttery, and smooth. That contrast in texture made the dish especially enjoyable. Paired with the freshness of the salad, it felt light and refreshing, yet still substantial enough to feel like more than just a side dish. It was a dish that managed to feel both clean and indulgent at the same time. The grilled squid was particularly impressive and easily one of the most memorable items of the meal. Squid can often be difficult to get right, as it can become rubbery or overly chewy if even slightly overcooked, but that was absolutely not the case here. The texture was spectacular--tender, delicate, and pleasantly springy without any toughness. Each bite had a light smokiness from the grill that added depth, while the squid itself retained its natural sweetness. It was expertly prepared and showcased a level of precision that really stood out. For the main courses, both the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Black Pepper Ramen delivered distinct experiences, each with its own appeal. The Tonkatsu Ramen was deeply comforting and satisfying, with a broth that had a rich, velvety texture and a full-bodied depth that coated the palate beautifully. It felt smooth, hearty, and luxurious without being too heavy. The noodles had an ideal texture as well--firm enough to provide a satisfying bite, yet soft enough to soak up the broth and integrate perfectly into the dish. Altogether, it was a bowl that felt warming, balanced, and incredibly comforting. The Black Pepper Ramen, on the other hand, brought a bolder and more assertive flavor profile. The broth had a smooth, glossy texture, and the noodles again had a pleasing chew that gave the dish structure and substance. The black pepper added an unmistakable warmth and aromatic intensity that made the ramen stand out immediately. It was flavorful and memorable, though the pepper was slightly overwhelming at times. A bit less black pepper would have allowed the other flavors in the broth to come through more clearly and created a more balanced bowl. Even so, the ramen was still enjoyable, especially for those who appreciate strong, pepper-forward flavors. Overall, Izakaya Fuku is a restaurant that succeeds on every level. The stunning Japanese interior creates an atmosphere that feels both immersive and elegant, while the food reflects a real attention to detail in both flavor and texture. From the comforting salmon onigiri, to the fresh and beautifully prepared seared salmon salad, to the expertly grilled squid with its exceptional texture, and finally the rich and satisfying ramen dishes, every part of the meal felt carefully executed. It is a place that offers not just excellent food, but a complete dining experience, and it is well worth visiting for anyone looking for standout Japanese cuisine in New York.
