We were utterly floored at the 30% difference between the estimate and the actual charge. Repeated phone calls to the president never got returned to explain this. Even after we paid for overnight storage, the estimate was so off that I can't imagine this wasn't just a means to get our business. And the president did the estimate! I settled on 3 stars, but considered 2. The execution of my move was handled professionally, but the final cost was a real shock. All Brunswick's estimate (based on assumed weight) was very reasonable, but a move's final bill will reflect what your in-transit truck actually weighs. There was such a discrepancy between these two figures (multiple thousands of pounds), that I can only suspect the possibility of intentionally underestimating the weight to yield a lower estimate. Although I had not heard of this practice before, there is an obvious incentive to engage in it, as a movers' final payment will be weight-based. I will never know if this happened to me, but the company should be much more accurate in estimating move weight (they walked through my house and took notes on everything that was to go on the truck). There is something called the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin 110 Percent Rule, which states that a carrier can charge you only 110% of the provided estimate. But this apparently means they are limited to this amount upon delivery - they will empty the truck for this 110%. But the balance will be billed to you and you will have, e.g., 30 days to pay this remainder. There was some breakage of items in-transit, which is perhaps normal. I did not seek restitution for this, as this was discovered months after my move (I in fact still have a couple of boxes still to unpack). But I consider a little breakage a small matter; if what I paid had been close to All Brunswick's estimate I would probably give them 5 stars. read more

I could not possibly have had a better moving experience than yesterday's move with All Brunswick Van Lines. When the owner, Steve Morgan came for the initial walk through, I discussed with him some some issues of past moves that were highly stressful with less-than-desirable outcomes. I really wanted to keep this move calm and evenly paced. And that's exactly how it went. The 3 men on the job - Jim, Abdul and Nick - were patient and professional, and clearly took great pride in doing things the right way. I could see that they handled my belongings with great care, giving special attention to some challenging doorways and, in general, managing the unexpected with thoughtful planning. I relaxed knowing that I could trust these movers. Upon arrival at my new home, they understood the general plan of what was to go where, but additionally made a point of saying that they would not leave until everything was just how I wanted it to be. Of the 8 moves I've made over the course of my life time, this was without a doubt the smoothest. Her estimate was reasonable and she even gave me suggestions for saving money on my move. On our moving day in June, a three-man crew arrived on time and worked efficiently and safely. These guys moved my parents across state lines and they were very pleased with the move. They packed up the house one day, loaded a truck the next, and were done before sundown. The operator of the truck showed up a few days later a thousand miles away and they did the reverse. He brought one of his good men with him and they were totally excellent. I have used All Brunswick Van Lines 3 times in the last 8 years and each move has been nothing short of perfection. The process from start to finish has always been friendly, courteous, and organized. Each time I had someone scheduled to come to my place to provide an estimate (Steve Morgan came a few years back, and this time Linda Peger). Both provided an accurate estimate, and even overestimate it a little in case there is anything unexpected (they will charge you only for the time it took them for the job). They'll tell you roughly how many hours, how many men, and what packing supplies you may need. This time I had a slightly more complicated move as I was combining two places into one, but thankfully all in the same town. Linda suggested we get two trucks and meet centrally in the new place. I was coming from a 2nd floor and moving to a town home with 4 floors and the estimate was for 3 men and 5 hours (half hour of travel time factored in). The three men that showed up were nothing short of professionals! They came on time and took great care of my items and told me about any problems/concerns immediately. They finished the job in 4 hours! My boyfriend's place was taken care of by a different truck and two other men, but they were amazing as well. They were troopers and moved an extremely heavy couch to the 4th floor and finished quickly. If you're looking for a moving company, definitely give them a call! Each time their quote was one of the lowest and there was nothing hidden! The only lower quotes I received had hidden costs (or was labor only, had to find a truck)- so just be aware of what's included/what's extra. read more

I would put zero stars if I could. They were horrible. Unreliable. Aggravating. Rude. AND LIARS. We moved from Freehold NJ to Naples Florida. Totally unprofessional! Steve Morgan knows how to get you to sign the contract and take your money. Then he disappears without returning phone calls. His staff hangs up if you are explaining your upsets (there is one girl on staff, Denise who will listen and try, all she kept saying is "I wish I could do something to help you" but she would pass the buck back to customer service, in Indianapolis - they are the company that hires the drivers!!!) The driver was suppose to load our truck on June 27 or 28th. He called us on the 27th to say they could not come load up the truck till the 29th. He was still in Boston loading a truck. We needed to be out of our place by the night of the 28th. After much upset, the company sent a small truck, to pick up our stuff to store it in a warehouse until the interstate truck could take it down to Naples. We received a phone on Thursday July 5th from the driver saying he was delivering our stuff on Friday July 6th at 7AM. We woke early on Friday July 6th all excited to only receive a phone call that his truck broke down. We asked when he would be coming, he played games. Giving days and times, and then calling and cancelling. Customer service (which is now a different company/location), "threatened us", that because we were so upset that they were going to take our stuff back up north and deliver our stuff on the way back down south (approx. another 2 weeks). After many promised days and times, being made totally stressed out and drained, and finally they showed up, on Tuesday July 10th. Driver showed up with 2 men, who treated my stuff like garbage; some broken glass, wardrobe boxes squished like pancakes, they did not put our bed together, they did not unwrap the heavy items, like a huge mirror. They basically dropped the stuff and walked off the job. The driver stuck around for a little, but was quick to leave, taking all paperwork and leaving me no receipts. The driver shared with me before leaving that he could have been to my apartment sooner but on spite, because we were so upset, he decided he did not want to deliver our stuff. How cruel, mean, unprofessional, and heartless can one company/person be??? When letting both Steve Morgan's staff and customer service (Jeannine and Lisa), no one could care less!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS AND FIND A RELIABLE COMPANY, THIS ONE IS A NIGHTMARE!!!!! I really wonder if the 5 star reviews are not people who work for the company and/or their relatives. We moved within NJ state and used All Brunswick. We have moved a couple of times within the past 5 years, and this was by far the best moving experience of them all, thanks to All Brunswick and their crew. I will definitely recommend them to anyone, and they did an amazing job. Linda, the sales rep. came to our house and gave an estimate, being very thorough in noting down our number of household items and assessing number of required boxes. She was very experienced and gave useful moving and packing tips during the house tour. All Brunswick uses their own crew for all their jobs (no outsourcing), which was part of our determining factor along with price in choosing them for our move. We had to re-schedule our originally agreed moving date, and Linda was very helpful and understanding and managed to re-arrange the moving date to fit into our schedule. On the moving day itself, the crew arrived on time and was very thorough in setting up van access from our front door, covering the lawn, steps and walkways with wooden boards for protection when rolling furniture and boxes. Jason, the crew foreman, gathered the crew and we all did a tour of the entire house before ANYTHING was moved. This was really great in ascertaining that a few pieces stayed (as agreed) and that the entire crew understood the logistics of the move. After the tour, they brought in the wardrobe boxes for us to fill in. We paid a small rental fee per wardrobe box, but it was minimal compared to other quotes received, plus the convenience of not having to buy some ourselves. All of our furniture pieces were carefully wrapped in blankets, and the crew were extremely courteous and respectful of our belongings. You could hear them small-talk, joke and tease each other around the house, which we found awesome as this indicates these guys knew each other and had a great teamwork. A good working environment makes a good job! If in doubt of anything, the crew would individually reach out to us for clarification, rather than just assuming how or why to move things. It was really great and gave us a huge sense of comfort and trust. They loaded up our entire 5-bedroom house plus garage and basement within 4 hours using a 7 men crew. We were blown away! The un-loading went very well as well. A couple of extra crew arrived for the un-loading as this would ensure the job got completed before sunset (we moved in January, so it gets dark around 5pm). It cost a little extra, but it was still far cheaper than having potentially to split the move into one loading and one unloading day. They once again set up wooden boards at the new house to protect the grass during unloading, and made sure they placed the boxes and items in the various rooms accurately. If in doubt, they asked us before putting anything down anywhere. Our staircase was wrapped in blankets to ensure protection when carrying items up. Furniture pieces were carefully unwrapped from the blankets and put down gently in their assigned rooms. Again, they were very respectful of our belongings. After a complete unloading, Jason walked us through the entire house to ensure they had put down all the pieces and boxes in the right rooms. We found a box or two that was misplaced, but nothing else, thanks to their careful checking during unloading. All in all, we had a fantastic move with All Brunswick which took away some of the stress about the move itself. We will highly recommend them, and we will be using them again without question. read more

When they arrived, Pat had the team introduce themselves and asked that the whole team gets to look at everything that will be moved. This gave them the opportunity to ask any questions which saved interruptions while i worked. I felt that the team took pride in their work and treated our belongings carefully and respectfully. The movers were called in by my realtor to pack up the final belongings so the new owners could move in and the realtors received their commission payments. The movers showed up without any masks during the height of the pandemic and comprised an 87 year old woman. Horrible experience! They packed the remainder of our belongs in large wardrobe boxes for their convenience and a fair amount of our items were damaged. They were told not to pack the items in the master bedroom and now we're missing some jewelry. Do not hire this company as you will regret it!!! read more
