July 2021- This year we went with two bow-riders (18' & 20') with a total of 15 people. We rented the tubes as well which were well worth the extra $60. We had great weather. The depth finder was working perfectly which was very helpful since the bay varies, a lot, from 1' to 15' (easy to destroy a prop if not paying attention). One thing different from the party boat (which we rented last year) was the option to go into the greater bay (up to two miles out). That allowed for a different perspective. Four hours was plenty of time on the water for us. The guys at the desk were plenty helpful. We were able to park two fairly large vehicles in their small dock area. Otherwise you can pay to park right across the street in the ferry lot. It would be nice if they had newer equipment. But being one of the very few places you can actually rent a boat... read more

Had to cancel my trip. Called as there was no obvious way to cancel online. Next day still didn't see credit so I called again and was told they had no record of the cancellation and refused to issue the refund because now it was within 48hrs. read more

My friends and I all threw down on a motor boat one hot summer day back in June/ July. We rented the 16 inch ventura Boston whaler hahaha didn't know what I was in for. We took off, my partner at the helms and me just being like "oh God" in the back of my mind. She's a water sign and felt comfortable steering the boat into the open ocean me on the other hand well, I'm an earth sign and I sure as hell didn't like the feeling. The water was a little choppy so the boat was like gush, gush, gush .. that's the sound of the boat slapping the water as we go up and down in the wake of other boats. She understood not to get too close but that didn't stop me from getting what I thought was sea sickness for the first time. I couldn't figure out if it was motion sickness or if my ass was just scared half to death. Thankfully there was a "haaaaba master" aka harbor master that's my attempt at the New England accent lol that managed to tell my gf to slow down. By then my stomach was in a complete knot. I had never been that low to such a large body of water. It was like a nightmare for me. I can assure that you will have a fun time, I can also assure that driving the boat isn't rocket science but I can sincerely assure you that if you are going fast and have never been on a boat that size you will be ... seeing your lunch/ breakfast later on (if you know what I mean). Hold on to your butt cheeks and buckle up for the ride. I would totally recommend although the check in process took a wee bit longer than expected. read more

We rented a Pontoon boat during our family reunion at the Cape. My 93 year old mother had a blast. I had been worried it might be hard for her to get on the boat and called a few times before booking. The staff there worked with us to make it easier and saved a parking spot for us right by the dock. My only regret is booking 2 hours instead of 4, my mom didn't want to return to the dock, she was having so much fun. read more

We were excited for our first family boating experience but were dissatisfied with what happened once we came back. The boat ride was very beautiful and scenic and the boat was lovely, however afterwards they charged us for chipped paint on the propellor that we didn't even know was there. Before leaving on our boat ride they took a photo of the propellor and offered for us to take some which we stupidly did not do. Then when we came back they showed us that there was chipped paint and used the photo as reference, however we have no proof that that was the same photo. They charged us $125. This seems to be a scam since previous reviews have had the same experience. Would recommend taking your own photos or just not use this company. read more

What an amazing experience! So easy, staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They are so upbeat, you can tell they really want the customer to have a blast. All three adults in our party had minimal boating experience but staff went over everything thoroughly and off we went with three preteens. What a blast!!! We arrived 15 minutes early as instructed but had to wait 30 minutes for our boat. People were waiting for us. Not cool. Then, when we returned the boat they checked the propeller and some paint came off. They showed us a picture they had taken before we went out showing some paint came off. How do know that was the picture of the same propeller. They charged us an extra $250! A little paint missing doesn't impact how the propeller works! A real rip off. Certanly not cool! What a great end to a great week! The team here at All Cape Boat Rentals really nailed it. When I say team I really do mean team too. They have a great staff of mainly Maritime educated individuals that enjoy their job and want you to enjoy your time on the water. From the moment I met them, to when I brought my extended family to the boat to the time I left, I felt they cared if I had the best experience possible. I was first met by Meg and Alex at the dock when I was determining the correct boat to rent since we weren't sure how many people would be joining us. Meg went out of her way to make sure I was fully informed of the details and the pros and cons of each vessel. She was kind, courteous and professional. Alex took care of most the business end once I knew how many folks were coming and returned my phone calls and made sure I knew the difference between the boats even in the same size class if there were any requirements I had for my family. Dan and John were there the day we sailed and were meticulous in their instruction (not my first time but appreciated since I had my 2 daughters with me) and fitting of life jackets. All Cape Boat Rentals is the only place you should be renting a boat from. The minute we encounter them they were nothing but professional during the entire process. We were only going for a 4 hour rental but we turned it into an all day rental. Our driver Nick was an amazing tour guide and took us out for the entire day to all different places. Agree with previous posts saying they try to charge you for the propeller and "running aground" damage. When they took pictures of the propeller and said you can take your own pictures too, I should have taken pictures. The propeller was painted black and it had silver showing at the edge. When we came back they said we appeared to have run aground and there was damage. We weren't close to any shallow areas and were in disbelief. They showed us the one picture they took and said they should charge us $250 for the damages but would only charge $50 for the repaint. But obviously they didn't repaint after the last people because silver was already showing. We had no pictures to prove otherwise and I hadn't seen these reviews. I feel like we were scammed and I hope you read these reviews and heed this warning! Do not use these people!!!! read more

Make sure you take lots of pictures of your boat, engine and propeller before leaving the dock. When we returned they tried to charge us $250 for running the boat through sandy bottom and damaging the propeller paint. We refused to agree that the propeller looked any different from when we left. They show you one photo on their iPad and try to get you to agree there is damage. Will also claim they followed you on GPS and KNOW you basically ran aground. Told us it was a good thing the boat wasn't rented for rest of day so he could pull it out of water to repair propeller. Which was BS as we told him that we rented in the morning because we were told boat was reserved all afternoon. At that point guy told us okay he would not charge us but his boss might take 250 of his pay. Take lots of pictures and don't agree that you damaged anything. read more

Scammers. You've read other reviews about the phantom propellor issues when you turn your boat in and they are all true. We rented a pontoon boat and cruised around Lewis Bay for 4 hours. Because I had my young kids on board, I was very cautious and we had fun.But the head guy (30ish, skinny, 5-9, brown hair, talks a little too loud) Is the problem. I have run boats since I was 16. I am now 55. When you ground a propellor, the engine pops up violently. I didn't even come close to grounding our prop, but they accused us of it. Total scam and lie. We got off without paying because he admitted the prop was "pretty chewed up", but be warned. Others will not be so fortunate. Because if this guy and his actions STAY AWAY! read more

A great fleet of boston whalers, conveniently located at the harborfront. And Sean and Jake provide excellent, friendly and knowledgeable service. I rented an 18 foot whaler for a couple of hours on a quick, last-minute trip to the Cape, to take my two kids out on the waters of Nantucket Sound along with their grandma. Thunderstorms interfered with what would have been a longer ride, but Emma at All Cape Boat Rentals kept us posted with weather alerts by cell phone throughout the day, and gave us the all-clear to come down when the skies finally got friendly. The boat was seaworthy, in very good shape, gas included in the rental, reasonably priced, and we had a terrific time. From Hyannis Harbor, you can access a lot of wonderful spots even in just two short hours. I just wish we could stay long enough to rent for a week! read more

Saturday afternoon we reserved a 20' Boat to go fishing Sunday morning. We paid for the boat & got on it with our fishing gear. Then as we are about to leave, they said you can't go more than 2 miles off shore In any of their boats. That was news to us & a problem for the three places we were going. This started off as birthday excursion, and ended up a trip from hell. On the phone, one of the employees explained the insurance as "$50 covers UP to $1000 in damage", but when the propellor was "damaged", they have no proof, they charged us an extra $250 and argued with us about how the insurance works stating "$50 only covered over $1000 in damage". When explaining how the insurance was advertised, the refund was denied and then asked for a refund of the $50, since we would have to pay the $250, which was also denied. Mind you, this all comes after we brought the boat back in 2 hours before our time was up. We had personal issues that made us want to return, and we cut our losses when they said they couldn't refund us the money for the time difference and we were okay with that. What we are not okay with is the customer service and the false information given over the phone. When driving home, we find an extra $526 charge pending. This place is not only fraudulent, but most certainly not a place I would recommend. read more

I bought a Groupon for a half day boat rental of a Boston Whaler from All Cape Boat Rentals. When I tried booking the appointment before my Groupon expired, all of the most convenient times were already booked. I was told the last available time to book the boat before my Groupon expired was on a weekday. However the person I was talking to said he would honor the Groupon as long as I booked the appointment after Labor day since it was their least busiest days and that I wouldn't lose my deal. So I just recently tried to book the appointment, after Labor day as requested but the manager was clueless why I ever had that idea and told me their rates have actually just went up and I would have to pay more if I wanted to rent the boat out. I lost out on my deal and more money. This place is not honorable nor reasonable and that is why I gave them the one star. read more

My friend and I rented jet skis from All Cape the other weekend and it was great! We were given a thorough safety talk on how to use them properly and shown on a map the best places to take the jet skis to. Prices were fair. The guys at the dock were so friendly and nice. Canceled a rental within the 48 hours cancellation period listed on the website. Confirmed the cancellation with employee who said we were "all set." When we got our deposit back, we saw that we were charged a $500+ cancellation fee. When we asked about it, we were told there was a different cancellation policy that is not listed on the website. We had a family get together on the cape and rented the 25 foot Boston whaler. It had twin engines and plenty of power to tow even the "grow ups" tubing around the bay. We fit 12 people comfortably in the boat and brought plenty of stuff to set up umbrellas chairs and coolers out on egg island. I rented a small 16" bow ride on August 5th. It was just 200.00 for 2 hours and what I thought was worth it for a quick little ride. The boat was in great shape and the process was smooth and easy. My issue was when we returned. When we left we had 3/4 of a tank of gas. When we returned we had 3/4 of a tank of gas. It was a little rough out so we decided to just drop the anchor and go for a swim. The person even said wow you didn't use any gas, and then proceeded to charge me 30.00 saying I used 5 gallons. As a boat owner I have a small whaler which I use for waterskiing with a similar size outboard. I can ski or wakeboard all day on 5 gallons of gas. I ran the motor for about 30 min mostly in a no wake zone!! I explained this to the gentleman and he said well that's the charge. It's a shame that to get an extra 30.00 out of me they lied and lost a customer as well as anyone I share my story with! read more

We got a living social voucher for a two hour jetski rental and reserved our spot a month in advance. No problems making the reservation. When we showed up to actually go on the jetskis, there weren't any. We were told by the guy working at the dock that someone else booked them for the lake. They apparently only have two jetskis total and double booked them. read more

A group of friends and I rented a boat from Jake for a picnic on Egg Island and to cruise around Hyannis harbor. The boat looked brand new and was really comfortable for the 5 of us. We had the most beautiful day and it was definitely the highlight of our weekend away. The guys on the dock were really helpful in getting us all ready to go and even told us about a great restaurant (Baxter's Boathouse) near by where we could bring the boat right up to!
