We went to euthanize our dog on june 26 2020 around 1am. There was a short latina lady that came in to apply the shots. What pissed me off was she didnt even give us a warning...we wanted to wait till my dog calmed a bit before giving her the first shot, but no...we werent given that opportunity...she just went right for it...what kind of common courtesy is that?! If you ever come here to get your dog euthanized, be very vocal about when the initial first shot is given! Giving three stars because the first nurse, before the latina nurse, that helped us settle was a lot more sympathetic. read more

I took my baby girl here Saturday to have a lump looked at. My experience was wonderful from the moment I walked in the front door. The receptionist (I think her name was Jackie but I am so bad with names) was so busy but handling the front office line a pro and was still so courteous, sweet and helpful. All the staff was amazing and greeted my dog Lily with snuggles and pets and let me tell you she's an attention seeker and she was in heaven!! The vet literally sat on the floor with her and made her fell comfortable and loved her up. I know people always complain about prices and I know vet care is not cheap but if your tv broke you wouldn't think twice about paying $800 for a new one, your pet is part of the family and good care costs not only the patient money but it costs the facility money too. I'm not saying this place was over priced at all but just reading other reviews and seeing that the main complaint is about money makes me wonder what people value most. It's easy to find a cheap clinic but with that your going to have people who cut corners in order to afford their overhead. I couldn't be more pleased with everyone here! We find out the results next week and I definitely have found my go to place for all my fur babies! read more

Tuesday our organization lost a kitten at another hospital. They did everything that they could, but the little one was just too ill. Wednesday we were all simply spent. Sad. Worried. All of it. All we wanted to do was go back to bed and cry over the loss of a kitten.... But we have these 9 other kittens that are counting on us to pull it together. Over night 4 kittens began vomiting and we needed a miracle fast! Appointments at Veterinary clinics are hard to come by. So many have closed in our area since covid began. This has left the remaining clinics completely swamped and impossible to get an appointment with. Most will only allow one or two pets in at a time. We contacted All Creatures and they were open to seeing our group of kittens. There would be a wait and they were very clear about this. Soooo... One miracle coming up! Dr Mejia and her angels from All Creatures Veterinary were willing to see our whole group. By 930 all kittens were loaded up and we were off to Newhall from Lancaster. As I waited with meowing kittens it occurred to me.... Shoot! No diaper bag!! (Aka Kitten bag aka survival kit) I left the house without packing supplies! I had 1 extra towel and 2 crate liners in the car. No food, water dishes, wipes, litter box, kitten milk. Suddenly after raising a bizillion kids.... I am THAT parent! Thankfully a very sweet tech took pity on my crazy self and was able to locate a few cans of kitten food. Which I served up on exam sticks! (Crafty right!) The little ones all took shifts and soon I had happy little babies. I was quite happy too.... Until they unleashed that meal.... We'll just leave it there.... Other than to point out that the team was also awesome about getting me a few supplies to remedy this little mess. Doctor Mejia is awesome! On point. Factual. Organized. Again Awesome!!! It is not an easy task to fully exam and treat a group this size. We are talking fully exam! Nose to tail, every bit of their furry little bodies. The team took the time to also get a full history of each kitten, as we have kittens from 5 different litters. This means different ages, feeding habits, quarantine dates and entry dates into our organization. They also had to note descriptions and identifying markers for each kitten.... Let's face it... many do look alike! All have been diagnosed with gastritis. (This includes two others who were at other hospitals) One kitten has the added bonus of ear mites. The only commonality is one food that they were eating. We also know of a rescue at another location that is experiencing similar symptoms with their kittens, who are eating the same canned food. We have contacted the manufacturer a few times today asking that they look into this. The manufacturer is strongly set on the fact that there are no recalls of this product and there is no need for an inquiry. (Geeze.... At least take the lot number or something!) We won't disclose the food at this time, (hey, we could be wrong) but if your kitten has any hint of tummy trouble with a popular canned food.... Please switch it out ASAP and monitor their health. You do not want your little ones feeling like this. Currently the kittens are eating the RX kitten food and doing fantastic! Tonight all our little ones are settled in. From here we focus on the treatment plan that Dr Mejia had provided as we get these little ones healthy again. I can not express enough how wonderful our experience was at All Creatures! Yes we waited a bit... but seriously you're going to wait any place that you go. Deal with it. Bring a magazine, supplies and snacks and be patient. These are amazing people here who love pets, love what they do and know how to heal your pet! Be a patient, kind person and realize that everyone is doing their very best. Update: The next morning we received a follow up call to check on the status of our kittens. Seriously friends! Professionalism at its finest!! read more

Last night on 4/19/2019 our family dog's health worsened over night. I contacted them letting them know I need to put him down as he was in great pain. They said they would take him in and put him down. When we showed up 23 minutes later at the business they would no longer accept him. Not only were they no help they were also very rude. We found another 24 hour vet about an hour away. He died in transport. Our family dog died a painful death in the back of our car because they refused to see us. read more

I had tried looking up my local vet clinic but was directed to these fine people instead. Despite being out of state, Will helped me identify a parasitic bug I found on my dog and confirmed it with the Doctors. I didn't expect a quick reply and thought I'd be sitting in the messager for a day at least before someone got back to me. Will was on top of it and helping me within minutes! It breaks my heart to write this review, because there is no denying that All Creatures has saved my pups life not once, but twice. But, unfortunately, that was then. At first I thought COVID had thrown them for a loop and I stayed patient as such. But after MANY experiences in the last year, none positive, I'm afraid they've lost something very important. Rude reception staff, dishonest communication, sketchy medical practices, and worst of all visible indifference to animals' comfort and care. I could list examples of all this, but I'll keep it brief and share only the most egregious interactions. If anyone would like to hear more or cares to hear more you're more than welcome to message me. Sketchy medical practices- I brought my pup to All Creatures at 10:30pm to have a possible ear infection/ear canal-lodged-sticker addressed. Upon arrival I was told no doctor was on site that evening (this has happened twice, I'm not sure how common this is but I'm doubting it was a coincidence). I was asked what the problem was outside the door, and after explaining my situation, the nurse explained there was nothing she could do... except sell me some rather expensive ear drops. No exam, no confirmation that it even was an infection, no doctor... just a back alley prescription ear medicine exchange for $80. Indifference to Animals' comfort/care- this one was what woke me up to the current state of affairs at All Creatures. A vet tech frustratedly and roughly tugging at a dog's leash who was clearly scared and in pain. I know some dogs need to be dragged to the vet... literally. This was different. This was a tech who tugged so violently on this poor aussie's leash that it yelped; and then proceeded to scold the dog like it was their fault. I wanted to say something, but I wasn't allowed inside and they spent a long time avoiding the door... as if they knew why I was knocking. So many businesses are struggling right now. I truly feel terrible if this is what's driving the decline in care and compassion at All Creatures. But at the end of the day this is a business charged with the care of our beloved furry family... and they deserve so much better than what I've witnessed over the past year. Again, these are only a couple examples; I would strongly recommend that if you're able, seek another vet. Unless it's after-hours, in which case you may be forced to seek another vet by lack of a doctor at our 24-hour Vet. I'll keep checking in, and happily return if things get better. But I can't, in good conscience, subject my dogs to this kind of care as it exists today. read more

Honestly I've never had an issue with the care of my dog but the office staff is horrible. The manager Ashley is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. It doesn't matter how many times you explain something to her (they are trying to bill me for a dog that isn't mine!!!!!!) she will continue to ask the same question and then hang up on you! I came home to find my little dog eating a bag of semisweet chocolate chips. She could have eaten up to half a bag of chocolate. I call this 24-hour vet, and explained the situation. I didn't know if she'd been eating them the entire time I was gone, or how much, but it could be as much as 6 ounces. The receptionist told me I could call Poison Control to see if she needed to come. I said my dog already looked visibly bloated and was trembling. She said to hurry down because they'd need to get her to throw up within an hour. This is the closest 24 hour vet, and it's 25 minutes away. I told her I would also call Poison Control on the way down. She said I could try, but she doubted I would get through before arriving. Well, I didn't get through when I pulled in, so I hung up. The receptionist I got on arrival told me they would not see my dog without a Poison Control case number. She didn't care what the other receptionist told me. I asked her why the vet needs Poison Control to tell them chocolate is toxic, or what to do? I was told the vet needed to see her right away. She was unmoved. So I'm back on hold with Poison Control. It's been 39 minutes. We're now well over the hour mark by which they should have made her throw up. I don't know if my dog will be ok or die in my arms while I wait in front of the vet's door. Her belly is distended like a ball but the vet won't see us unless Poison Control informs them chocolate is toxic to dogs. I wish I had never come here. Don't bring any pet here. They will refuse to see a dog in distress on their doorstep, won't even begin paperwork. Clearly these people should not be in this industry if they don't carry about dogs. read more

Very kind and compassionate care. On Thanksgiving Eve my senior dog took a turn for the worst and my regular veterinarian was closed. I took my beloved dog in at 11pm he was unable to breathe and they took him back as soon as we walked in, I loved the quick attention we received. I have been to vets before that will have to fill out paperwork before even touching the animal. Ultimately, I had to do what was best for my baby and put him to sleep . Went with my gut and took her to another vet who took the time to get X-rays done and turn out she'll need surgery because of the severity of the injury . Definitely a place to avoid at all costs, just like everyone else is saying, these place really is after your money. They will offer the most expensive treatments when your dog doesn't even need it. I was told my dog needed a $3500 surgery after an infection after he got neutered and So I went to pinnacle for a 2nd opinion and fixed my dogs problem with $50 antibiotics. My elderly dog was facing an emergency and unfortunately this was the only place close by. After waiting in the car, they examined my dog and told me she would need to be put down. I was told that we would be allowed to be in the room with our pet while she was being put to sleep. I returned with my family to say our goodbyes to our pet, and suddenly the girl who was helping us says word for word "well actually the doctor doesn't want anyone around him while your dog is being put to sleep because of COVID (despite me and my family all being fully vaccinated with proof), so you'll need to say your goodbyes and then I will take her back"...They told me this, after already telling me that we would be allowed to be in the room with our dog as she goes to sleep, after asking why she told us the opposite, she said "well that was the case... but isn't anymore" ...Really? To deal with the stress and grief of putting a family pet down is enough, but to be mistreated by the staff here like this was so wrong. We took our dog home and luckily found someone that could euthanize our pet in home. It's worth noting that no other veterinarian center in Santa Clarita recommends this place for emergencies. While calling around before visiting All Creatures, I was asking vet centers where they recommended to go, as they were full, and they all said "There is nowhere in Santa Clarita we recommend". I asked one center why they do not recommend any here and they mentioned All Creatures and said "they have a new doctor and we don't recommend him". You shouldn't tell someone they can be with their pet when they are being put to sleep, and then back track because the Vet changes his mind. What a horrible last day I spent with my pet, at the fault of this veterinarian center and it's callous employees. If you truly do not feel safe putting animals to sleep in front of its owners who are vaccinated and wearing masks, that's unfortunate, but that is ultimately your choice. The thing I do not understand is, why would you say we could be with our pet, and then say "sorry, actually you cannot be with her when she is put to sleep, the vet won't be around people due to covid". If you would have told us this from the jump we would have gone elsewhere much sooner. Don't take your pet here. The entire staff, from the front desk employees who ignore you, to the vets who could care less about you saying goodbye to your dog- they all lack compassion and decency. read more

We thought long and hard about this review. I didn't want to post such a horrible comment but then I started reading things about this place and thought let me tell my review. About two years ago our bulldog was in labor. Took her in and she was healthy. Everything was great with her pregnancy. We dropped her off and was ready to pick up 7 healthy puppies, only to get a call that 5 didn't make it. I don't see how 5 out 7 babies died from lack of oxygen? Hmm seems a little fishy to me. Maybe they over did it with the anesthesia still not sure to this day. But we always think about it and will never ever take our animals there again even in an emergency. I have taken 3 of my cats now and they have always been kind, compassionate, patient, and helpful. They always take the time to answer all of mine and my husband's questions. I never felt rushed or like my concerns weren't important. They helped me figure out one cat's urinary issues, one kitten's growth concerns, and literally just saved our cat Marcie's life. We took her in for teeth issues and it turned out she had an infection and was anemic, almost in need of a blood transfusion. We had no idea! Just a few days later and she's doing so much better and I feel confident and comfortable taking any of my animals here! read more

Responsiveness Online appointment was ignored, no one answers the phones. Took a full day off work to bring dog in for appointment that was FINALLY scheduled. They had no idea why we were there, despite telling them on the phone. Was treated rudely when we entered and told to keep my pet in the car out front. It's 108 deflgrees today. Waited 20 minutes and then was told the doctor couldn't see us for another 2 hours. No call. No remorse. Just a blank stare. Way to treat a first time patient. Added due to the reply from Lily. : You're lying. You absolutely didn't offer a thing. No drop off, no other suggestions or solutions. The tech sat there at my window and just looked at us and shrugged her shoulders. The same tech that was immediately pissy with me because I told her I was hard of hearing and she spoke to me so condescendingly. If it really meant that much to you, you'd have called us. But you don't care. You just care that people are calling you out here for your terrible practice. read more

I had to bring my dog over there for an after-hours emergency. My dog was having diarrhea and vomiting that night. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to spend almost $800 for that. They gave my dog 7 different medications that night (including tablets, injections and special fluids) and made me spend another hundreds of $ on some special diagnostic tests. I felt like they were trying to make as much money as they possibly could on my dog's sickness. Be very careful when you bring your dog for an emergency. I'm not coming back. read more

Under New Management. Our first visit was Dec 2022 when our elderly kitty had a major stroke/seizure. We took her to Saugus Animal Hospital, her prior vet, and they would not take us. After driving aimlessly & calling various vets, All Creatures had a doctor on duty & was able to see her immediately. Everyone from the Vet Techs to the doctors on duty (day & over night) we're wonderful. All of our pets have now been seen at All Creatures, they have become our Go To Vet. Am here now with one of our pups who had an anal gland rupture. They took us right in, no waiting. It's nice to have a vet that accepts walk-ins as you never know when your pet is going to need immediate care. read more

Zero stars, really. This place is horrible. Twice now we have had emergencies in the middle of the night with our cats. The first time I called and was told not to come there because they were just too busy to help us. The second time we were turned away was just last night. We tried to call them and their phone just rang and rang and would then disconnect. We decided to drive over (it is just up the street) and showed up at midnight to their emergency room door. The "nurse" told us that they couldn't help us - eventhough our cat was screaming in the backseat of the car - because they didn't have a doctor there at the moment. But this is a 24 emergency vet. 24 HOURS A DAY MEANS YOU HAVE A DOCTOR 24 HOURS A DAY!!! She then proceeded to send us to another vet or said we could drive to Lancaster. Again, our cat was screaming in the backseat and she didn't care at all. I wouldn't take a dying cockroach to these heartless people. They deserve to go out of business. read more

TRULY A BLESSING!! Me and my boyfriend had came to All Creatures in the middle of the night bc he had noticed that his 5 month-old pup (Magne) was lethargic and had no appetite. We thought Magne had gotten into the trash and ate some candy, so we had ended up calling AC as they were the only emergency vet that would take us in. We had spent the whole night hoping and praying that Magne's case wasn't severe but unfortunately he had parvo. We weren't the most fortunate at the time with money, so when we had gotten the original vet cost of over $3k, we were so heartbroken to know that we were going to have to endure a loss in the family due to our financial situation. We had hope that there was other ways to pay for the bill so we had asked one of the staff if there was a way to lower the bill in any way. She understood us and our situation and helped us TREMENDOUSLY! She discounted our bill as much as she could and we couldn't thank her enough. We gave her everything we had and in the end we got to take Magne home and supply him with his IV fluids and all of his other medications ourselves, and now it's been about 2 months and Magne is back to his healthy self with his twin sister Roxy and we are absolutely so blessed to know that God was on our side when we had came to All Creatures. I had to find a 24 hour vet when my dog swallowed something. The staff here was so professional, but more importantly very caring (and I have a dog that can be difficult). Surgery was needed and after the surgery was done I received a call giving me the update on how he was doing. After I got my dog home, the office called to check up on my dog. After having called 8 local vets and being denied access or opening even at ER .... I got a referral to All Creatures and I am so thankful!!! They were so kind and informative on top of that patient with my crazy stressed fur mom self! We are about an hour away but I would go again!!! They got her in right away and the vet called us to give us a full rundown and answered all our questions which was something we struggled with in other emergencies since COVID - at other places I have had to literally fight for the vets time being g brought quotes by vet techs who have no idea what is going on or what the estimate is or why the orders were there and then trying to be sent home without so much as a word from the vet .... it has been STRESSFUL but not here they were absolutely amazing and I regret our Mango did not see them because then maybe things would have been different ... COVID has made vet care near us a mess but at ALL CREATURES other than not being able to go in I don't see how it has changed they are absolutely amazing and I am so jealous of people of New Hall I wish they were our local vet!!! Thank you so so so much for your help woth Update - a couple weeks ago we had to go in again for Leah our tripod who had a sore on her stump - yet again we couldn't get her in and had just had bad experience with a vet up here with our new needy rescue so we weren't going back there so I immediately called them remembering the care they gave Luna --- again they were WONDERFUL!!!! Long story short they kept me up to date and though there was a long wait they were very considerate and helpful during the wait ! Again even with COVID the vet yes the VET called and explained everything taking time to actually listen and not only care about our fur baby but us and our finances she could have easily added a cone and cream but she knew we had the cone and simply recommended desitin cream to care for the spot !! The vet techs and the wonderful woman who is the vet there were all the kindest and just amazing ! I really wish we lived closer and they could be our go to full time vet because they are wonderful! read more

I was extremely frustrated. However Ms. Zavala was kind enough to provide me With referrals, however I had already called most of those places. Not professional at all. I heard stories but dang. Been in talks with them about my dog and putting him to sleep. I called and asked them if I can come that same day to put him to sleep. I informed them that I will bring him with my kids. They said no problem come at 4. I got there at 350. Then they freaking said "sorry but the doctor can't see him anymore, but here is a list of other doctors that might be able to see him." Really!! You had my information and you couldn't call me an hour before. Spare the emotional stuff for my kids and myself. That is messed up. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! BEWARE!!!!! We came here because my dog was in pain and looked distressed . The 24 hour vet we used to take our dog to no longer does 24 hours. The nurses were nice, never got to speak to the doctor. Covid precautions I guess but I really feel they are taking advantage of these times. Every questions we would ask the nurse she didn't have an answer to cause only the vet can answer. Anyways we had to have X-rays done on our dog and they said they would call us with results . They never called us . We called 3 times where the lady answering the phone trying to help us seems the have no clue why we were calling for our results. She stated she would send us the results via email and have the vet call us to go over the results . We for the email and tell me why it was identical paper the gave us as we left . No X-ray results nothing. I gave them 4 hours to call us back and they never did! I had to call again only to be told the vet was in the phone and that they are waiting for her to get off the phone. I was on hold for an hour. Still have no answers from the 200$ "X-ray" they took. These people are awful and clearly are going to continue to scam you during these times to get as much money out of you. I get we have to make some adjustments in these times but be wary the fact that you sit in the car while they exam your pet and come up with a big bill you will have to pay to get answers to but never get answers to . I will never go here again. How they get away with all this beats me so they best way to stop them is just don't come. I know it's hard when they are the only 24 hour vet in the valley but at this point I would drive further for better service and results ! I have never been to a vet that handles patient and customers like this. Our cat was attacked by a coyote and thankfully a neighbor was able to scare the coyote away. I was certain the cat was a goner. We took him to All creatures around 10:30pm expecting they would only be putting the cat down. Yes it was $800 just to take him in, but if their was a chance, for my 12 year olds sake, I would try. It the back of my mind I thought it was a money grab...but I was wrong, after two days they release Milow the cat back to us...he had a punctured lung, but they fixed him right up...he is completely back to normal. When I look at him, I am blown away that he is still alive...this cat was destroyed.
