Forgive my bluntness but it is necessary to cut to the chase up front... bringing a pet to this location was an experience I wish I had never had the dissatisfaction of having. If you got a few minutes to kill please keep reading, if not be careful to protect your pocket book from extreme and over the top services. Here's the run down: I get there with the little feline in hand, well in a carrier. We sign in. We wait about 15 minutes. We're escorted into a patient room. 20 minutes passes by. Someone comes in, no introduction and asks why we're there, ask questions about the kitty. Age 7 years-ish, sex female, then they weigh the kitty. They leave. 20 minutes later, a technician enters and asks why we're there, asks to weigh "him" again because they didn't write down the weight the first time. We're told the doctor will be in to examine "him". I inform him it's a her. He says oh sorry I thought it was a he. The technician exits 20-25 minutes later the doctor comes in and asked why we're there and says... because "he's" a senior cat they want to do a bunch of stuff... (i.e. kitty physical). The doctor says they'll put a prescription together and come back in a moment with the overview, then the doctor leaves. 25 minutes later the technician returns with the doctors recommendation totaling over $500. Over $250 of which is the physical and stuff unrelated to the said prescription. I say, we just want to start with focusing on the treatment and we'll consider the rest at a later time. Technician leaves. 25 plus minutes later the doctor comes in and says they can do the surgery right now. I'm like wait what's this about a surgery and I just got done saying I just want to focus on the prescription treatment? The doctor said they forgot to tell me they were working on trying to coordinate a surgeon to do a more aggressive procedure which will accelerate the healing. I'm like whoa whoa whoa. I don't want to do a surgery so I'm gonna pass. The doctor said they're going to put another overview together for me to review in case I want to change my mind and then leaves the room again. 25 to 30 minutes later the technician comes back with a surgical recommendation at over $3000. I tell them look, I just want to get out of here and go with the meds. At this point they have me waiting in the lobby again for about 15 more minutes for meds. I get up and go to the reception desk and tell them I'm leaving. They ask if I still want the meds and I say NO I'm just going to get a second opinion. They charge me $50 plus for the visit and I leave. I couldn't wait to get out of there. It felt like an episode of the twilight zone. For the record, the cat has been well taken care of at an alternate veterinarian, who in fact indicated that the prescription I was previously provided would have actually made things worse. read more

You know... I want to give them a good review because I like Dr Kennedy but I just can't. Some of the techs were nice but overall we are very unhappy :( Our cat was there 2+ days and every time we spoke to a vet they had a different diagnosis. They are sooooo expensive and whenever they said a vet would call us... they didn't. We had to call ourselves every time to follow up. The night crew is grumpy (I guess cause they're working nights) and they seem very unorganized. Every time they said they'd start treatment we'd check in hours later and they had JUST started the treatment. THEN they finally told us they still weren't sure how to help him so before they could charge us for day 3 we took him home with still no improvement and a hefty bill and BAD taste in our mouth for this place. SO expensive. So inconsistent. So unhelpful. SO sloThere's better places... don't go here. read more

I called this place on May 12, 2020, spoke to a girl name Allison, Explain to her my situation and explain my dogs been having a couple issues that I wanted to be addressed. She had mentioned the best time to come in is after 6 PM on that day. Upon making an appointment I had showed up around 6 PM close to seven. I was told by Allison over the phone I would have to wait in my car and the doctor will take a look at it and give me the information that ended up being I have to go home and they will call me within couple hours with all the answers. Three hours rolled By I had called back in and spoke to Maricela I had explain to her I have not heard from anyone it's been three hours and I explain my dogs been sitting there and no one seen my dog she rudely replied to me sir if you don't like it you could come pick up your dog we are extremely busy . I mentioned to her I understand you're busy but it has been three hours and I was told that I would get answers. Again her only solution was if I don't like it I could come pick up my dog basically wasted three hours for nothing. Another couple hours pass by I called, this time Allison answered the phone the first girl that I initially spoke to you about the appointment. I had told Allison that her service and information she provided me was not accurate and she should've explained me better and not make me bring my dog if there were so busy today. Her reply back was I'm really sorry but we are busy with emergency pets, but if you like you could come pick up your dog keep in mind it's been six hours since I dropped off my dog. I asked for a supervisor I was like are you kidding me I did not just wait six hours for nothing. I spoke to a manager I totally forgot her name she was very nice and kind probably the nicest person there, Allison was very nice as well but she had no idea about the appointments and busyness of the clinic. She needs better education when it comes to customers making appointments and to give them proper information. I believe the manager name was Renee. She had apologized to me and mentioned that there's been an ongoing emergency surgeries and the doctor is only one on duty therefore my dog has not been seen and eventually will be Looked at. This was around 11 PM. At 1 PM I called again and spoke to the manager again yet my dog had not been seen. I got the same answers over and over if I don't like it I'm more than welcome to pick up my dog he's doing well he's in a box of shelter and will be seen as soon as possible. At this time I didn't even know what to do anymore go back to sleep or wait till they call me about my dogs info. Sadly that night nobody ever called me back and the very next day at 10 AM I had called again to check the status of my German Shepherd. I was told he had not been seen yet but he will be seen in the next hour. I was very aggravated pissed and I just wanted my dog to be seen and walk out of there and never take them back again. Sadly my dogs been going there since he was eight week puppy. But they lost my customer service for both of my pets from now on. I was finally called at 2 PM the next day stating what needs to be done with a $500 bill. Whatever the recommendations was been done by the doctor it came back negative my dog was pure healthy. Bottom line is I wasted a day and nothing was done to my dog and it was a waste of money and time. I will not recommend anyone to this place because they have no customer service they are horrible. They don't care about your pets. I understand that they were busy and they could have looked at my pet in a 20 minutes examination thats all he needed. Specially since I called 6 to 7 times and within that four hour period that shows you that if a customer is frustrated that they still don't care. And that was clearly my case. Nothing was accommodated for me Besides waiver of examination fee which I was told there was gonna be no examine fee prior. I guess that was a big lie as well or a mistake again. The doctor had recommended bloodwork and other test that was not necessary I even mentioned it but I went forward anyway. Which all came back negative if you're healthy dog. Just wasted $500 and horrible customer service and left my pet overnight. Stay away!!! read more

The morning of our beloved dog's passing started off horribly. At 15-1/2 yo we knew his last morning with us had arrived. We first called for a home service that said they were booked for the day, and then 2 other close vets, all refused to take him in, including his past Stevenson Ranch vet showing the least compassion and rushing us off the phone. Very thankfully All Creatures said bring him right in. We arrived to an empty waiting room and was escorted to a very special room just for goodbyes, including Hershey kisses for pups. They offered our family as much time as we needed and we sure took it. His passing was the most peaceful ever. Later we received a lovely card signed by many, along with his ashes, 2 ceramic paw prints, multiple fur clippings, paper paw prints and nose prints. We are forever grateful for the compassion and care we received at All Creatures *:) read more

Don't go to this place of business. There was a lawsuit against it 2 years ago. Went to get some pet food for our dog, the receptionist (the one who has earrings up her nose) told me I had to make an appointment for my pet. Although this was the day every pet owner dreads - we took our dear sweet Duke to be put to sleep at All Creatures. As much as it is always a horrific experience to put a beloved pet to sleep, they made it a beautiful experience. My review is far past due but everyone I've had contact with at All Creatures Veterinary has been terrific. They're very caring and compassionate, and hold it together while working in an already emotionally charged profession. Add the emergency specialty aspect of their practice and you have to give them a lot of credit for the work they do to keep our pets healthy. I cannot believe that this places is still open for business. I have never seen such non-empathic workers all assembled under one roof. The money is the bottom line at this place and that's it. I am writing this in the waiting room as I sit for my pet to be brought out.....4 hours after my arrival. I have been handled by 4 different people to collect info and get approvals and money, and it's not at all cohesive under this roof. "Oh we need to do "bloodwork" and testing and then the doctor will tell you what's his opinion", this seems to be the broken record or script that all the workers are taught to say. Well since being here, I have seen 2 families need their animal put down, and the workers are either unfortunately callous to it or have no heart. It's so painful and cringy to see them tell the owners this fact and then rush them over to the desk for payment. Yikes!!! Myself and another family have waited for hours just to get the ball rolling on the first step of the diagnosis, and all the while we can hear the people working here thru the thin doors talking about their weekends and not the pets. I brought my animal in for hard-labored breathing and coughing and wheezing, and after 2 hours of blood work and X-rays and exams, the doctor says that this is all related to a small kidney stone!!? What?!? I asked him in the lobby, I guess in front of too many people, to explain and he got mad at me for asking how my pet is showing zero symptoms of a kidney stone but rather has trouble breathing and how these are related. He said maybe I should go get a second opinion since all older animals have kidney issues with age. Again what?!? I said please explain the symptoms I brought him in for and your diagnosis.....and he leaves, flat out walks away! Completely professional of him right? Never question a man with a degree!!! Now I am no doctor at all, but don't tell me that 2+2=7 and not show your work. That's all I was asking for. (And yes I already set an appointment with my usual Vet for tomorrow to get a real opinion on this, I can't call it a second opinion as I don't know what this visit was honestly.) Then the money people started coming and asked me to pay for overnight hospitalization for the pet as the best option, when the other technician who just left just said that the pet will be getting a few shots and sent home with medication no problem tonight. I mean the money is all they are after for real at this point. Then another hour passes and they now ask if I would like to do those shots and medication for my pet. I didn't lose it yet, but my toes were on the edge of that cliff!!! I said that the other technician and myself already approved this work an hour ago said that this would get going if I approved it then. I showed that I had signed the paperwork over an hour ago, which they had right on the clipboard, meanwhile my pet is suffering?!?!? Finally the nightmare ends and as I pay the bill, they said, "doctor would like to see the pet in a week as a follow up"! Thank god it was 3am or my laugh would not have stopped. Oh sure you can see me again in a week after this clown show of a visit. They can't communicate with themselves or customers, they have no heart for how we feel, they only want money for "after hours emergency exams", and don't like to answer basic questions about treatments. Seriously don't understand how they stay open for business, other than they are the only 24 hour vet around. It is so sad that this review mirrors so many others about this establishment, but I hope that it wakes consumers up and keeps your pets away and safe. Or better yet, I would hope that the owner reads enough of these and sees that the business model is flawed from a compassion and professional side. I know it makes plenty of money just based on the bills that they charged while I was there. And if that's all that they want, then they built a business that will continue to make money but get trashed by the community. read more

I took my rottie in after she began vomiting blood and finding blood in her stool. She was lethargic and showed seizure like activity. By the time we arrived at All Creatures, my dog had deteriorated further. She was there from Monday night through Thursday morning in which time the vets and the amazing vet techs nursed my girl back to Health after a diagnosis of acute HGE. I was so afraid that i was going to lose her and thanks to the attentive staff, my little girl is home and recuperating. She is better every day. I can't thank the staff enough for their attentiveness and kindness through the entire ordeal. read more

If I could give infinite stars I would. My dog was in dyer need and this facility saved her life. I will bring all of my dogs here. I accidentally took her to another place before my mom referred ACV and we were discriminated against and they refused to prioritize my dying dog. I'm so glad I came to all creatures because not only were they understanding but did all they could to see her and prioritized her issue and didn't assume what they wanted to just to get out of saving her. This is the absolute best place ever, the cleanliness and beauty of the hospital already spoke enough for me but the nurses and doctor made me cry with their amount of care. My dog was treated by Dr. Michael Siegel. He is the best veterinarian that I have come across. He quickly diagnosed my dog's issue and provided a clear solution. His staff treated my dog with great care and we were on our way. I was expecting a high bill but was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable cost of the emergency visit. We had an emergency with our lamb who fell and broke his leg. I was desperate to find someone who could see us as soon as possible. Dr. Gardenfors agreed to see us. Upon first inspection, we thought our Luke could be saved, but as Dr continued diagnostics, he discovered Luke had a heart murmur and surgery would be far too taxing on our baby. When I made the decision to put him to sleep, Dr. G was very kind and helped me come to terms with the decision. He remained compassionate and professional through the ordeal and treated us with the upmost respect as we said goodbye to Luke. Unfortunately, our whole experience wasn't that great. Every time I've been there, the receptionist has been rude and uncaring. She is passive and shows no interest in clients. Along with this, because of the nature of our emergency, we couldn't be given a room and were asked to wait in the working room of the office. We had no issues with this except that the entirety of the staff except for our vet and his nurse were obnoxious. As were Saying good bye to Luke and signing paperwork to have him put to sleep, staff goofed off around us with no regard to what was happening. Eventually we were given a room and our Luke passed. We opted to bring him home to be buried and we were offered help taking him to the car. We did receive a card from the staff, but actions speak louder than words. Dr. Gardenfors gets five stars from us, but unfortunately the entirety of the staff does not reflect that. read more

I was here last night for a close friends pup to be euthanased. It was a 15 year old shepard and my husband and i expected our friend to go in alone, however, they were extremely sensitive to the situation and, with percautions, let in my husband and me in, with our friend and his dog. They were extremely caring and so sweet! Dr. Harris was patient and completely compassionate toward our situation. I couldnt thank them enough all night. We got there at 9 and left at midnight without our furry protecter, friend, family member. It was a rough night for sure. I would highly recommend this vet clinic. I witnessed the way the vet techs talk to other families and they were so thorough with everything. They answer ALL questions and listen to what you have to say! If I could I would give 0 stars and wouldn't recommend All Creatures to anyone. My fiancée and I have been taking our dog for over a year now since she was 8 weeks old. Took her in for nail trim even the tech the cost was over 100 dollars. I should've known better by then but recently she had problem with anal glands The surgery was 600. Tried to do shot at home mind you our dog is a chihuahua So fought us all kinds so immediately we call All creatures in a panic not being able to do shots. So when I explained to them that the first thing that came out of their mouth was we will have to charge you and I said how much and they said they don't know will call us tomorrow So it was 25 dollars a day for shots she had 7 days worth once in the morning and once in the evening. Cost us 175 dollars plus vet looking at her butt was an extra 40 dollars.. we well never go back to All Creatures and will never recommend them to anyone worst vet place ever .. we will now be taking our dog to our old vet when our dog was a patient there for 17 years and they are the best they did her shots for free and only charge 20 dollars for a pedicure .. wish I never listen to somebody telling me that All Creatures was a good vet ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY NOT THE DOG !!!!! Our vet was out of town when our dog had an issue I never encountered before. I rushed down to All Creatures and from the front staff to the doctor, everything was a fantastic experience. Not really the type to leave long bad reviews, but since our pets are our family I figured I'd save some people and their money. Our dog was limping and having a little trouble walking. The vet just comes out and says she must be caged and she cannot walk at all. She said she must be in the crate for six months. We asked if there is any other option and she just replied no. It was almost as if she was mad at us or something. Very weird and disrespectful as if we were taking up her time and not paying the ridiculous prices they charge. As we were waiting in line to pay one customer lost it on the receptionist asking why she was smiling when her cat is about to die and she paid so much money already. It was really a scene, but I must say I completely understood. She was so sad and upset. We then took our dog to 2 other vets to get a second and third opinion. They both said she was ok maybe just a sprain, and to rest her don't let her sprint, jump etc. Save your money and time, there are plenty better vets in the area. read more

Terrible place, you would think is reasonable bit it's not, they rack up your bill next thing you know you are at least 500 dollars up. They are so busy that they sent you home with kits for you to collect the sample from your pet when that's their job. I had way too many bad experiences at this place. I would not recommend it at all, read carefully when you sign the final paper work and ask questions, my dog went in for a possible urine infection they sent me home with the promise that we were having the results in 48 hours they never called us but the discharge paper work says 7-10 days. This is facility is affiliated with AV Veterinary Center and I could not possibly say anything good about this place or their "sister company." I live about an hour away and called before hand because my pet was having an emergency. They said yes we will take him in. I drove an hour and once I arrived they said no we aren't taking any animals. Made me drive an hour and made my pet suffer for absolutely nothing. I have heard horror stories about this facility and the AV Vet Center. I have had my own awful experience with the AV one. It is so disappointing that we don't have better care for our animals when they are the whole world to us. Screw this place save your money and your pets. read more

Overpriced, bad staff attitude, horrible first visit, will never come back again. I called in for an emergency appointment as my cat had some blood in his urine and this can be a deadly thing for male cats. I got in, and under stress, I signed the proposed treatment plan that included taking X-rays and blood work for over $500. As I cooled down, I talked to a friend, and after the doctor assured me there is not UT blockage, I reconsidered what I signed for - so, I nicely asked the doctor face to face to skip the over $200 X-rays for now. She agreed with my decision, and she said she'll take care of it. FIVE hours later, waiting for the kitty to come up from the blood work, I'm told at the front desk that they already did the X-rays. As I asked to tell me what the results are in this case, one frustrated clerk said that it's written in the report that "the doctor already discussed the results with you". I said, no, that's not true, and I asked to tell me what the results are precisely. The doctor did not come out, and the clerck raised her tone and she read super fast the notes she had in the computer. As I could not understand exactly the whole thing (maks on top of it!), I paraphrased "so it means that there are no problems as we looked at the X-rays". The clerck got even more frustrated and raised the tone at me, basically saying yes, there were no issued found. As I pointed out that I don't like her tone and attitude, both clerks cut off the eye contact and one dismissively, said "bye". Just like that. Now, I wanted my kitty to be safe, so, I assume the fact I let myself be overcharged for a service that was not truly needed. But I cannot take this kind of attitude. It's part of your service, to deal with people who are stressed by their pet's pain. It's part of your JOB to be courteous and caring if you are a vet. I think if you read this, you should know this provider cares clearly only about money, and once they got it, you're dismissed. read more

Where do I begin ? We were referred here from another doctor. Luna our 8 month old Lab needed emergency surgery . She chewed up and swallowed an AA battery. My biggest concern was the fluid leaking into her stomach which can cause ulcers and huge complications. And while I understand there are more emergent dogs... And I sympathize... My dog is emergent as well. As a dog parent we agonize over our babies every second when they are not well. The worry just takes over you. I felt they didn't understand the severity of the situation. And they didn't sympathize with me. I wanted an actual time she'd be going in. Especially since I was so AFRAID SHE'D DIE. "She's fine right now" doesn't mean anything to me. She may be calm but there is a foreign object in her body. I'm glad they took her in but I'm still waiting. And I've been on hold for about 15 min now. I gave 3 stars bc I do appreciate what they are doing but I'm on edge as a dog parent and I feel this isn't fair. read more

Every staff member I've encountered here is caring, compassionate, and polite!! I used to go to another vet (I won't name names) on Via Princessa, but they're always so rude. when I had to put my dog to rest, Dr Mejia got on the ground with me as I cried over my girl, and she held my hand as I prayed over my baby when we said goodbye. I'll never forget that. they're so good with all of my pets, and to me.. I'm grateful to have found them and I highly recommend their clinic. read more

Seek Treatment Elsewhere / Full in Depth Review 8/1/2020 I came to All Creatures Veterinary Center after I was turned away from Pinacle Veterinary Center for two days here in Santa Clarita. I dropped off my dog as he is currently suffering from sneezing episodes with little bleeding. They had asked me if he had been around fox tails and I said no he only stays in the backyard. He had only sneezed out a single blade of grass. They took him in for an exam and I couldn't come in due to covid (understandable). I get a call an 2.5 hours later to go over the payment, without ever being told the results of the exam. They quoted me $1,400 to remove a "Fox Tail" from his nose by surgery. I told them that I do not have that kind of money and couldn't explain the exam in detail to me over the phone. They called me back with another quote of $350 to remove it by flushing his ears instead. I do not understand why there is a shift in procedures and why they would want to put my dog under surgery for a piece of grass. I am taking my dog to another vet tomorrow and will follow up with their exam in full detail for comparison. I am paying their standard $52 exam fee when I told them in the first place he had something in their. I didn't need an exam to know that. I would find another more accurate practice of veterinary care that is more authentic to their clients. I will not be coming here again.
