really the only reason im writing this review is because someone has posted something about never taking your pets here something sparked my interest so i started going down the rabbit hole of negative reviews and i cant help but notice how all the replies from the owner are all copied and pasted and never address the actual issue written in the review.... news flash to the owner, nobody is gonna call the office to talk about their negative experiences with the receptionist their writing a review about.. anyways i took my kitten here when i found him under the hood of my car he has a severe respiratory infection and really nothing else wrong with him but with all the testing and whatever else they did i ended up paying $400+ i understand in emergency cases youre usually gonna pay more but after looking at the invoice i felt a lot of the things they charged me for were really unnecessary. since he was also a feral kitten he didnt even have a name or anything they made me stay the entire time to ensure i wasnt going to ditch him there, even after putting a hold on my card for the estimated amount, which was super inconvenient since i told my boss i was going to return to work after dropping him off since i knew it was going to take hours which it did (i was in between jobs when i was driving and heard meows coming from my car when i pulled over i found him) i ended up taking my beagle here after he was attack by a german shepherd. everyone was super nice and they even let me go into the back to see him before i left him there over night. they told me they were backed up and had to wait to do his stitches since he had to be put under anesthesia. they didnt charge me for an overnight stay rightfully so since it was only because they didnt have time to get to him. at the end i ended up paying $1000+ for the emergency visit, for them to shave and clean his wounds, the anesthesia, and stitches, plus medication. my mom ended up being the one to pick him up the next morning and thats when she informed me that he would have to return in 2 weeks for his stitches removal. im not sure why they didnt give him dissolving stitches since we dont live nearby anymore and were in the process of moving when he got attacked but thats not something they discussed with us before giving him stitches. they never asked us if we would be able to come back for a followup or removal or told us that we would need to come back when paying for the stitches. i also dont know if the removal is included with the price you pay for the stitches but i highly doubt it so keep in mind you might have involuntary follow ups that you dont even know about if you come here. read more

Rude staff and they care only for billing especially when you bring your beloved pet at night, they know they are the only one in the area open at night so they give you outrageous bills. Rushed my dog here after he hadn't been eating, drinking, or hadn't gone to the bathroom in over 2 days. I was seriously worried that he had a bowel obstruction from accidentalIy swallowing parts of his toys. I had called ahead and they said they could take him in. There was no one else in there when I arrived, I waited 4 hours before they even took him back to look at him. And another almost 3 for "blood work" and such. After they finally got back to me they said they had NOT run any test whatsoever nor did they do any X rays I had asked for. In fact, the assistant told me that their vet was switching shifts or something of the sort, so they weren't going to be open much longer and insisted I went to another vet about 30 MINUTES AWAY! I thought this place was supposed to be open 24 hours???? Seriously such a joke and the staff was SO incredibly rude. I took my dog there because she had thrown up a couple of times. They ran a blood test n told me she was critical that they needed to administer insulin immediately and do a blood curve. I disagreed told them to use the glucometer (I have a service dog I'm not new at this) so then they do run it n say that on the glucometer shes fine. I told them to check their damn machine. Please do not trust taking your pet to this place. They are also very overpriced. They said they would do deep cleaning for my dogs teeth and they were going to charge me over $1300. I've never heard of such a price and this price did not include pulling any teeth, that's obviously extra cost. You can tell right away that the staff doesn't even care about animals. The vet hardly took a look at my dog and they came up with a bunch of tests they need to run on my dog including x-rays. Just stay away from this place and take your dog to tags or little paws in Santa Clarita. BEWARE USING THIS VETERINARY CLINIC! Not only do they have a zero competent staff. They love to bait and switch you. The office manager is completely incompetent. She loves to bait you in with one price, then once the service is done, they hit you with a completely different price, usually 2 to 3x's higher than what you were expected to pay. All the time blaming the original price on a supposedly unexperienced employee. "Stating they quoted you the wrong price". Its absolutely amazing they continue to always quote the wrong price. My Mini Schnauzer Luna was transferred here due to her have 104 fever and let me tell you I am glad that I was transferred here. Although we only went in because our regular vet is closed on Sundays and we found a tick on our puppy, All Creatures definitely deserves a 5-star rating! Our 10 month old Labrador is extremely shy and timid around strangers. In fact, you'd think she was terrified of them because as soon as the young woman came to take her into the exam room to have the tick removed my pup tried to hide behind my legs under the chair. Thankfully, the technician was super friendly and helpful. She brought out some treats and sat with my dog until she was calm enough to remove the tick. She didn't force her into the exam room, just took the tick off right in the lobby! It worked out perfectly, and I went home with a puppy who wasn't traumatized of her experience at the vet. read more

It is always hard to lose a family pet member, but this establishment possibly was responsible for our sweet pup's untimely death. I will tell the story and you can decide. Before I tell my side, I want you to know that I called the office two days after it happened and asked for a manager or doctor to call me and explain what happened and answer some questions. I was told I would get a call back that morning. Well, it never happened. So now, two days later, I will rate and tell my experience. My 11 year old pound puppy, Asta, has a history of a heart murmur of 3 and is on medication for that. I had him checked out by my vet the day before I brought him to All Creatures. My Vet said his heart was still at a number 3 murmur and his lungs were clear. I noticed his breathing was labored on Wednesday night so I took him to All Creatures. The gal at the front desk was friendly and we got checked in. The technician checked him out and said the vet would be in soon. Well finally I see the vet and he doesn't even look at or touch my dog. He said he has congestive heart failure and needed a shot to help clear out the liquid. He gave all different options of tests etc, but when asked plainly what needed to be done, he said he needs the shot. He told me, I should be able to take him home after the shot takes effect, then bring him to my own vet the next day. I said let's do it! My dog is still wagging his tail and loving life, but I can tell his breathing is getting worse. I checked his tongue at this point and it is still pink. The doctor leaves and I wait for over 30 minutes. WT? My patience runs out am I finally leave the room with my dog, at that time the "closer tech" is coming in to give me the written prices. I don't care!!! My dog needs this life giving shot, after all, I am in an emergency hospital for dogs. I have now been there over an hour. The tech says she's sorry it took so long it was a "shift change" UNBELIEVABLE!!! She takes a look at his tongue and gums and whisks him away to finally give him the shot and put him in the oxygen area. She comes back and says they gave him the shot, but here are the choices of treatments and costs. She said the shot takes 30-60 minutes to work and had me wait in the main waiting room. A few minutes later she runs in and tells me to come in quickly. My Asta is bleeding from the mouth. The doctor is waving his hands saying "oh, this is bad, this is bad, the dogs die when this happens" my dog is in the oxygen cage looking at me with total fright in his eyes. They take him out of the oxygen cage and shove a tube up his throat. He is struggling, his bowels let go and he is shaking. I am in shock and can't believe this is happening. We agree to put him down to put him out of his pain and terror. They did let me stay while,I petted him and spoke to him. It was a nightmare I will never get over. I can't say for sure that he would have made it had I gone to a different emergency room, but his chances would have been much better, than at this place. He was much more than a dog, he was family member with a personality and love that I have never experienced before in a canine. The loss is indescribable. Now that you've heard my story, You can make up your mind concerning "All Creatures". For me and my family, I say Never Again! read more

What a complete nightmare this place has been. In an emergency situation I took my dog to All creatures. He was suppose to have surgery... Which never was completed because after giving my 12 year old bulldog something to sedate him(after I told them it was not safe to put him under) he started to die and they had to go into life saving mode. Now they have started Duke on a heart medication which needed a refill and in 105°weather they insist I bring him in.... Which would kill him. They would not give me a few days prescription to get him by..... Truth be told... I have shortened this up.... I would not in any emergency situation bring my pet to that place they care more about the Almighty dollar than they do your animal. In fact they almost killed my dog. read more

I didn't want to write this review. The receptionists are kind, the doctors are thorough, and they've helped my dog more than once. Unfortunately, I was given a treatment plan that All Creatures could not follow up with. On Dec. 31st, I was told to bring in my dog twice a day for a shot, and it was recommended I come in at 9AM because (direct quote) "we do rounds at 8am." When I arrived to the location at 9AM the next morning, 1/1/21, I was told they were closed until January 4th. The only other option we were given is drive our dog 40 miles out to Antelope Valley for a shot, and when we arrived at this sister location it was a three hour wait- for a shot. We cannot do this drive for a treatment twice a day for four days. I am disappointed, I am frustrated, and I wish they hadn't started a treatment they could not follow through with. Please don't hesitate to take your beloved pet here in an emergency, but be warned that they are flakey and may end up doing more harm than good in some situations. read more

Wish I could give this place zero stars. Called to ask if they could take my dog in because she was vomiting, they told me to bring her right away so I did. We got there, got checked in, they took my dog into the back room and told me to wait for her in one of the offices. I sat there with no information and no one coming in for almost two and a half hours. I got worried because it was taking so long and no one informed me of anything. I went up to the front and I asked what was going on with my dog and if she was being treated. The women at the front desk were standoffish and incredulous. They informed me that there was no veterinary doctor in and hadn't been because they were switching out doctors, which wound have been nice to know when I showed up hours prior, and that the vet who was supposed to be in was 40 minutes late. I asked if my dog could wait with me in the room instead of sitting in the back, alone and terrified. They brought her in and the nurse said they "checked her backside" which makes no sense because she has no "back side" problems or whatever that means and I asked what that meant and she said they checked her backside. Again, I'm like... okay? So they gave her a colonoscopy or like what the hell?? Like they did what?? And she just said they checked her by feeling her stomach. What the..? Alright. They ended up charging me $65 for that "examination". So I let that go. She had a bandaid around her leg and I was relieved to find out they did take blood and run labs. I asked them NOT to do X-rays yet because of their insane projected cost but to definitely take blood and do a urinalysis to rule out anything before we check for obstructions because she's experienced this before and X-rays we're ineffective and inconclusive showing nothing wrong intestinally. They only took the blood. They said it came back normal and that I could wait for the vet to talk to me about it. I went home and researched the levels and they appear to be more abnormal than they suggested. Through some ridiculous back and forth, I never saw a vet and was tired of waiting without results and no doctor. I decided to just take her home and monitor her myself. They wanted me to sign an AMA but I don't think I ever did...? Anyways, they charged me $530 dollars to do blood work, give her anti nausea medication, and an IV drip after I was informed by the nurse that the vet decided to suggest those treatments last minute. It was absurd and insane. They never sent a vet in to speak with me even after I said I'd wait to speak to the vet and after a while I just gave up. No aftercare advice, the vet tech that spoke to me had to Google the answers to my questions on one occasion, it was all bad. I cannot express how neglectful, uninformative, and unprofessional it all was. Today I called another vet to make an appointment because my dog still isn't feeling well and told them my experience and they said they NEVER recommend anyone come to All Creatures. The short talk I had with the receptionist at the other clinic was more informative than the entire appointment was at All Creatures. I was polite and cordial during my appointment but in retrospect I wish I had been more upfront and honest about my concerns. The experience was a waste of time and money. I could've gone somewhere else and had my dog seen, diagnosed, treated, and also spoken to an actual veterinarian in less time than they took to take blood and give me no diagnosis, give her fluids and anti nausea medication, and not even speak to a vet. read more

This place is amazing, I am so grateful they are open all hours! What really stuck with me was the staff and their attention to detail and focus on my little Oakley and I. I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect when I came in. Tawny the technician specifically stood out to me, I think I'd return just to be under her care. She really explained everything thoroughly to me and helped me understand what was to happen next. Tawny had a great attitude and really knew what she was talking about. DO NOT GO HERE, brought my dog over here on the weekend because she wasn't feeling well, the vet ran every test they could which was fine with me I just wanted my baby to be okay. The vet ended up telling me they "didn't see anything on the X-ray " , and wanted to treat her for liver issues because her liver enzymes were elevated, the also gave me another medication at the completely wrong dosing for her weight. 1400$ later and 5 hours in the waiting room we leave, my baby ends up getting worse by the day. Finally I end up being able to take my dog to my normal vet Sierra Highway clinic, I called All creatures TWICE, to send over my dogs lab results, xrays, etc, just so my vet knew the details and I didn't have to spend 400 more dollars, both times the employees said they would send them over. THEY DID NOTHING, I had to drive over there myself! All it would take is a email but this company DOES NOT CARE FOR THERE ANIMAL THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY! Turns out in the lab papers they wanted to try to rule out pancreatitis , which was exactly what my other vet diagnosed her with at half the price.The vet didn't even mention what they thought the diagnosis was! This whole company should be sued again for MALPRACTICE. Anyways My sister ended up showing Dr. Ron what medication was prescribed and he said this was completely wrong and I should try to get my money back. I don't care about the money I care about my dogs health , which he does as well, I wish I was able to take her to him earlier instead of this shit I hole, I would have been better off taking care of her at home. Up until recently, I would have given 5 stars. They've actually solved a lot of issues my dog has had for a while and I'll very grateful for that. The doctors are fantastic and I've never had to wait long. Costs are reasonable as well and I really like that it's 24 hours. However, I called to get a prescription refilled 2 weeks ago. They told me they would call back to confirm. After a week of not hearing from them, I called back. They didn't even seem to know I had ever called before and once again told me they'd call back. A few days go by. Nothing. I call again, once again, no record I ever called. They tell me they'll call back. They don't. I call again. They tell me the shipment just got in and to call back tomorrow. I do. It's not ready so I need to call back again. 3 days go by. I call back. They still have not filled it and it's like I'm calling for the first time. My dog now hasn't had his medicine in 2 weeks and again, they tell me to call back tomorrow. This is 6 calls in 2 weeks with absolutely no progress. I will start getting my prescriptions online from now on. This is crazy. read more

Definitely over Priced compared to other places... they wanted like 3500, because they wanted to keep the dog for like 3 days but. couldn't do that....I don't live super close and the Dr had me buy something for my diabetic dog saying he would install it if i was able to drop it off in time while my dog was in their care, so i rush to the pharmacy and rush there, give them the item the Dr Requested but they had me wait 35/40min because they said they wanted to discuss something no one ever came to talk to me after around 30 min+ i ask they said oh they'll just update you later ok... anyway its time to pick up my dog they hand me back the item i was sent to go buy at a pharmacy saying oh he didn't install it, maybe you can return it....(note: i needed a prescription for it so i doubted it) So yea left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, Definitely felt like it was all about the money and if i couldn't cough it up then good luck! I brought in my dog after seeing him deteriorate from cancer yesterday. He couldn't even walk or stand up and as soon as we arrived the staff immediately helped him in and was very prompt about his care. Unfortunately he passed yesterday, but everyone at All Creatures was beyond compassionate and the doctor was so caring and sweet to him as he took his final breaths. read more

They make you wait forever during a scheduled visit (45hr in the back room), they don't use any critical thinking skills, they just try to charge you to test everything and last time I was there they all of a sudden recommend against the same expensive booster shot on round two of trying to cure a skin infection (the same exact way as last time) as they strongly recommended the time before (because they forgot they recommended it). These guys act like its normal to charge $1,000 on a whim to check a few possibilities of causes for "a couple mild sores" (their words). Some of the staff is nice, they place was clean but overall experience left me feeling like I was just an opportunity for money. Also, I had told the receptionist that if the doctor isn't ready I don't mind waiting in the lobby because I get claustrophobic in the small appointment rooms. She said the doctor would be right in. 45 min later the doctor came in. Also, after we went over the bill, the front desk lady said she was going to get everything in the computer and then she would ring me up...and left me sitting in the small appointment room until 15 min later when she came back just to say everything was ready to be paid for. I told you I was claustrophobic and didn't want to sit in those rooms. Why not have me wait in the lobby instead of the tiny room while you just put numbers in the computer? They deserve 0 stars, they are an emergency vet who cares about nothing but the all mighty dollar. I took my cat there, they diagnosed her with coronary heart disease. Her prognosis was not good. They kept her there 3 days. Racked up a big bill. Now a month and a half later my cat is at the end. I wanted to let her die peacefully at home. I called them to ask for some form of medication to relax her to make her passing easier, well guess what? They refused to do that without me dragging my dying cat into them first. I asked them to please look at her chart and reconsider. There is no way to reverse that diagnosis. They said no sorry. They are all about the buck. Run up your bill as high as possible. 3 DAYS $$4000 DOLLARS AND MY DOG IS DEAD. To say I am disappointed with this place is understatement. I recently brought my family pit bull here at the recommendation of my vet. He ate a bone that got lodged in his stomach and hardened. They took my dog in after $1300 down and assured us he would be fine after a nights stay and some stool softener. So Monday they want to keep him another day $$$ and say he is not getting better but they are sure they can get the bone to pass or move it out manually. Monday night comes and he is not getting better and they tell us how sweet or dog is and they will do everything they can and work with us as far as the money goes as this is happening a few days before Christmas, but he will be ok. So Tuesday comes and we are freaking cause we know he is not doing well, so they tell us that they still are doing everything they can, which was nothing, and we feeling like a gun is to are head as we give the ok to do whatever it takes. So two hours later they call and say they can't help him that he is bleeding to much and that he has pancreatitis. Then they tell us we need to put him down. This was our beloved family dog who we still miss so very much. It is not their fault that my dog died and they did communicate with us hence the 2 stars. My problem is that my dog still died, they took me for $4000 at Christmas and didn't even blink. I would have appreciated a discount or some money back or something more than a card saying sorry about your dog. My kids and I didn't even get to say goodbye and we are still reeling from the loss. They had him for three days three days that he could have been with his family who adored him, we could have loved on him and said goodbye. I can't believe they didn't know what was gonna happen and if they didn't then they are idiots. Either way I would find somewhere else to go before you get stuck with a massive bill, heartbroken children and a dead family member. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!! Terrible costumer service, they do not care about their costumers, animals, and have zero compassion for anything they do. Good luck if you even see a Dr. So, you will just have to deal with the techs that have no idea what they are doing or saying. I'm very curious what kind of school or training these employees had.
