I am disheartened to see the negative reviews. We've brought our 2 dogs here, once each. Both were emergencies. They were so caring, attentive and reassuring. As for prices, we honestly didn't even glance at the bills. Our pets were sick/injured. Could we have been billed higher than other places? Perhaps. That wasn't our concern. They took wonderful care of our pets, and while I hope we never have any other emergencies, we would bring them back here in a heartbeat. read more

We have been bringing our pet dogs to this location for years and it was a great place to bring our pets to. Unfortunately, things changed for the worse. Now it is very disappointing to have our pets at this facility. I was told I could bring my pets in today to get looked at but that wasn't the case. I waited 3 hours outside in the heat with my dogs who needed to see a veterinarian for them to tell me that he had a surgery tonight. I already knew the vet was going to be in surgery, but I was told it would only last 1-2 hours. They told me that the vet was FINALLY ready to see my pets, after waiting about an hour. Why did I wait an hour? Come on my pets needed to see veterinarian that day AND we'd never had any problems with this clinic. The receptionist, Ashley, told me verbatim, "you can bring your pets after 8 that's when he was going to be done with the surgery." So i went in and signed in and gave them my number so they could call me so I can bring them into the office. I waited and waited in my car until about almost 10pm. Meanwhile, both my dogs became incredibly traumatized with all the noise from the fireworks outside. I wouldn't have exposed my two dogs to that trauma if I had known they were NEVER going to call me in. So I decided to call again (for the third time) and asked them how much longer for the veterinarian to see my dogs. So then Ashley tells me, "I don't know how much longer it's the veterinarian who can decide that." Can you believe that? All this time i was told that the vet would ve available right after the surgery so I waited only to find out the vet can see the animals "whenever they please." IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS I WOULD!!!! DON'T BRING YOUR PETS HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT 3 OR MORE HOURS FOR THEM TO TELL YOU THE VETERINARIAN IS BUSY!!! read more

This place saved my dog! My dog was having an emergency, wasn't eating for almost five days, vomiting, diarrhea with blood, was extremely weak and wouldn't walk. When I came to this vet, the entire staff was extremely caring and helpful. They helped me come up with a treatment plan for my budget, and in a matter of 3 days my dog was feeling like herself again! I was in shock because I was so scared that my dog was going to have to be put down when I came to the vet, but I left feeling hopeful and I couldn't be anymore grateful for this place. They also called me the very next day to check up on my dog and gave me advice on what to feed her while she's sick. Thank you staff and Doctor for curing my dog! read more

It was Friday night my dog got scratched in the eye by a cat, he couldn't see and was in pain. I called and they said bring him in it was around 12:40am when I brought him in. The staff took my dog in gave him an examination and came and told me the cost and what they are doing. I was happy the eye was not scratched, the staff was so amazing and welcoming. I didn't met doctor but I'm grateful for him. I was there maybe 40 mins. Great experience and 100 perfect recommend. I appreciate them so much !! My dog is doing great! read more

I've been to All Creatures multiple times, over the course of about a year. Because I treat my animals as my children, as I'm sure many of you reading this do, I'm going to be very detailed and forthcoming about my experience. Buckle up, y'all. The first visit, my dog got into some chicken bones. I called first, and spoke to a vet tech for about ten minutes before deciding to go in for x-rays and an exam (just before 1am). Upon arriving, I was greeted with friendly faces, simple paperwork (two pages), and less than a 10 minute wait time. After the exam and x-rays, given the small size of the bones we saw in the x-rays, I was given the option to leave her there for observation overnight, or to take her home and watch her closely. After talking it over with the doctor and doing my own research, I decided to bring her home. The prices were very up front and were shown to me before I went forward with the x-rays, and again before I made the decision to bring her home. Two x-rays, plus the exam, came out to less than $200. Again, we visited, this time for a much more somber reason. A baby kitten we had been fostering passed away suddenly. I called them immediately, and they were very gentle and compassionate with their questions and advice. We brought her in, where we were taken to a private room after a very short wait. After she had been taken to the back room, I asked if she could be brought back, as we wanted to say another goodbye and prayer for her. They quickly obliged, and gave us another private room with dim lighting to have a moment. We were encouraged to take as long as we needed. I must say, it was one of the hardest days I've ever lived through - and I thoroughly believe it would've been much more difficult had we not gone to All Creatures. The entire staff was not only patient, gentle, understanding, and compassionate that day, but the days after, when we received a handwritten card in the mail. They also offer a very reasonably priced cremation option, with paw prints and engraved plaques. Her memory box is something I treasure to this day; the kindness of the staff is something I'll never forget. Since then, I have visited several more additional times with two separate dogs, and each time, I have felt heard, comforted, educated, and treated fairly financially. I find the prices to be very competitive against other vets (to this day the cheapest x-rays I've seen offered at any vet). Even with non-emergencies, I've never waited more than half an hour (and only rarely that long). Usually, after 6pm, I find the wait to be 10-20 minutes to get a room, and another 10 to see the doctor, providing they aren't in surgery. Before any vaccines/x-rays/shots/medication/surgery/etc. is administered, a vet tech brings in a detailed list of the expected charges and goes over it with you. You have the option to move forward, to only do some of the treatment, or to leave. Dr. Margarita Abalos is particularly wonderful. We've seen her on three separate occasions and my dogs have loved her (as have I). She is usually there Tuesdays. I've seen several other pet owners there in my time, and everyone seemed satisfied with their care and treatment. In all my visits, I only ever saw one unhappy customer. He was upset about his cat's care costing more than he agreed to (turned out - his wife had been told the expected cost and had signed the expected charges agreement). Still, the manager called them and the entire staff treated him with respect (even when he was very rude). Also, there is a free parking lot (with a separate back entrance for especially dire needs). I haven't tried their grooming services, this review is specifically to their medical services. To round it all up, I can truthfully say: I have found All Creatures in Newhall to be reasonably priced, true lovers of animals, and owners of great medical equipment/medication. If you're looking for a place who will give you follow up calls to see how your pet is doing after a visit, who sends handwritten sympathy cards when a family member crosses the rainbow bridge, who will discuss all charges with you prior to treatment, who will work with you and your pet to find the best course of treatment, who will provide helpful recommendations for other vets/services when needed, and who genuinely love and want to help animals...you've found it in All Creatures. read more

Clean, attractive hospital, nicest one I've been to. Staff was friendly and explained everything to me clearly. They were the only place nearby that would take me in around 8pm. My regular Vet closed at 6pm. Took my 5 year old Husky in for an ear infection. Visit, ear cleaning, ear cytology, and antibiotics came out to be $250. I loved their kitty that hangs out in the waiting room. Overall great experience will probably be my main veterinarian now. read more

Early on a Sunday morning my dog was attacked by another dog. This was the only vet that was open and near by on a Sunday. I decided to give them a chance. I'm glad I did. I received nothing but excellent care. From the first visit my pup fell in love with Vet tech Maddie. She was so compassionate and helped my 13 year old pup feel comfortable and safe. I have always been a walk in patient and I found there to be little to no wait time. I was impressed that the staff always knew my dogs name and greeted us as we entered each time with a warm friendly greeting. I found the front desk to always be kind and helpful. This was a very stressful time for me and my dog but they all made it so much easier by being so nice. I didn't think the prices were unreasonable. I never felt they were doing more than what was needed. I have experienced that at other vets but not here. I am thankful that they were there to help my dog get back to her old self again and completely heal. read more

I've been to a lot of vets in my life But I've never been to such a money hungry piece of s*it vet. 1600$ later and NO DIAGNOSIS. I was called at 11 am to transfer my cat who is dying to another emergency hospital because they didn't have a vet. What type of emergency 24 hour vet is this? They are so insensitive. From the moment I came here I mentioned I'm on a budget and I don't want to do anything but resolve what's going on with my cat. The night before, they told me that my cat was most likely gonna die if I didn't pay up. **IF YOU WANT YOUR DOG TO LIVE, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE** This is probably the second most Traumatic, medical emergency experience my family has had to endure. We had taken our dear, beloved puppy to this "Center" which happened to really be a "day spa" thinking they'd be able to provide medical assistance as Veterinary Centers are supposed to do. First off, they couldn't find our original appointment for 12:00 pm, trying to push fault off ONTO US saying we Never had one set up in the first place. Second, we were told at 3:42 pm (almost 4 hours after our appointment) the condition of our puppy in which they told us they would soon be getting meds to treat. It wasn't until 6:05 pm till we received word that they were unable to get meds to treat our dog and were going to send him to a hospital. If our boy was this sick it is the establishments duty to emit the animal into the hospital IMMEDIATELY, Not Hours later. The manager "Jane" was incredibly rude and inexcusably got in our faces multiple times. Not only did she turn the environment Hostile, she had NO IDEA WHERE OUR PUPPY WAS! There was no proof of testing nor any paperwork provided also. Now. It is 7:30 pm and my family and I are sitting at True Care for Pets in Studio City, we have been here for maybe 20 minutes and not only have the staff members been more informative and helpful, they let us know that "All Creatures veterinary center" had given us FAULTY results! FAULTY RESULTS. So not only were they incredibly rude and beyond unorganized, they didn't even give us correct answers! In turn what it comes down to is they would rather kill your dog and take thousands of dollars from you for doing so instead of providing actual treatment. Unreal! My boys discovered our old boxer panting and not moving. He normally jumps for a treat but this time he couldn't even stand. They decided to look for a place that could see him. By now it was around midnight - they carried him into our truck. My youngest and husband drive off as I had found this place that claims to be 24 hours. When they arrived they called, they were told to wait, then to bring the dog in. And then they were told to go back to their car with the dog. Mind you the dog is not moving well. They did and waited. For nothing. They then told them they couldn't help them! I called around and found an amazing place in Woodland Hills, the boys decided to put him down that night and they allowed our dog to pass. Breaks my heart that our dog was in pain and these fools didn't have a heart to help a boy and his dog! The hell with this place! read more

When my senior kitty Oliver became lethargic and wobbly on Thursday evening, I called all Emergency Vets in the area (San Fernando Valley) and were refused by all of them. There simply aren't enough vets to handle the demand due to increase in pet adoptions during the pandemic. My lovely neighbor texted me about All Creatures and her great experience there with her senior pup, so I called and they told me to bring him in. I was quite nervous because his health has been declining for awhile and he has numerous issues. I didn't know if he could be treated or if it was time to say goodbye. When I arrived, we checked in and they took him right back. Everyone was so warm and friendly. The office in general has a very nice feel and is immaculate. They even have adoptable kitties out front, and a very large furry office kitty walking around. There was another family ahead of us, but not much of a wait. Dr. Guinn called my cell within minutes to discuss what she found and explained treatment options. She was professional, compassionate and very patient with me. He's been through a lot health wise, so I wanted to provide her with as much information as possible. I never felt rushed. I asked her to be brutally honest and if it was time to say goodbye. She did not feel that it he was that bad. I asked for an estimate and one was brought out right away. It seemed reasonable, especially since it was after hours emergency. I agreed and they started working on him immediately with IV fluids and antibiotics to combat his fever. I paid the low end estimate as a deposit. Since he stayed overnight, I drove home and back with his cat food. I was told that I'd receive an update from the vet after rounds were completed and the shift changed from Dr. Guinn to Dr. Gillen. Dr. Gillen called at 8:30am with an update and told me to call at 3:30pm to see if he can be discharged. When I called at 3:30, they said his fever was up again and to call at 5, since they were not comfortable releasing him with an elevated temperature. Fortunately, when I called at 5, his temp was normal and I headed over to pick him up. The final bill was quite a bit less than the low estimate and they refunded the difference to my credit card. They sent me home with antibiotics and told me to watch him and call or bring him back if there are issues. My boy is not well and has numerous problems. He tore both ACLs years ago and had surgery to repair both. I knew that he would eventually have arthritis and pain, and now his mobility has become a real issue. But the fever and his inability to stand for more than a few seconds on Thursday evening was something else entirely. He has some type of infection with a waxing and waning fever. His blood test indicated it. The treatment that he received at All Creatures was fantastic from start to finish. They sent him home fully hydrated, stronger, walking better (despite his knees) and quite alert. The doctors are very knowledgeable and compassionate, and the rest of the team members are professional and friendly. They greatly exceeded all of my expectations. I have a dog and another kitty, so if anyone needs urgent care going forward, I will call them first. I highly recommend them. read more

My dog went into a horrible coughing fit in the middle of the night so I looked up 24 hour veterinarians and found this one. I called to make sure there was in fact a veterinarian there seeing it was in the middle of the night/super early morning. Asked if they would be able to see my dog and that I was about 25 minutes away. I was told yes, no problem we are here. I was there within a half hour to be told that the vet had just left and another one would not be there for at least two more hours. HORRIBLE ! Stay away totally unprofessional. Acted like I was wrong for being upset. They could have been honest and said the doctor is getting off shortly and there won't be another one in for a few hours. I could have driven to a different emergency veterinarian and actually been seen upon arriving. read more

On Friday (5/29) I had an appointment for my cat at 5pm. As I brought my cat to the curbside service, I was told it was going to be a couple hours. The tech told me that I could leave my cat and she would be put in a kennel. I was also told that I would be called in regards to any information. I filled out my paperwork, and gave the tech the medicine that my cat needs to take at 8pm. The tech was attentive to it. Around 7:30-7:45pm, I called. I was concerned it had been almost 3 hours. I was told that my cat was the next patient. I was surprised as I had an appointment at 5pm. I was told that there were a lot of hospitalizations, they were understaffed, and they would call me when they got to my cat. It was now getting closer to 10pm and still no word. I called and was on hold for 7 minutes. I called back, and in the meantime, decided to go get my cat, since I could not get a hold of anyone. I continued to be on hold for the 23 minute drive there. I went to the get my cat and asked if she was given her medicine. The answer was "Unfortunately not," along with a "Sorry." I got home and the towel in the carrier was wet, and smelled like urine. My cat went straight to her food and water. She ate and drank much more aggressively than normal. This made me think she was left in her carrier with no food, no water, and ended up urinating in the carrier as well. I understand we are in a different time, and I was trying to be understanding. However, this is negligence. I would think if my cat were at a vet, she should at least be given her medicine. I have heard and read bad reviews and stories of this facility, but I have stayed as my visits were good experiences up to this point. After this past Friday, I will not return. I will share this story to avoid other pet owners having this experience of neglect. read more

We brought our senior German Shepherd to ACVC to have a mass removed from her neck. Sophie came out of the surgery really well, and even though she had to go back to have her stitches replaced THREE TIMES (she would LITERALLY wait until she was sure we were distracted to scratch--she couldn't wear the cone of shame because of the location of the surgery); the staff was always quick and responsive to Sophie's needs--and our nerves. I also love the fact that they are available 24/7--because even animals need a doctor "after hours". I highly recommend All Creatures to anyone with a furbaby... This is a great staff of people that really seem to care. read more

I made an appointment and when I got there I was told that it would be a 1-2 hour wait. I live across the street and have a nursing baby at home and a 2 year old and so I asked if I could leave my dog there (she is crate trained and so she would have been okay) while I go home to take care of my kids, eventually they allowed me to leave her there. A few minutes after I leave I get a call saying that my dog will need emergency surgery to fix the abscess on her anal gland and that it would be $850, this was A LOT more than what we were expecting and a lot more than what we can afford at this time. On the phone the Dr. who called me never mentioned any other kind of treatment and so in a state of frustration I said okay. 10 minutes later I called back to ask them to wait on the surgery because my husband and I wanted to get a second opinion or see if we could just have our dog take some medication. When I called back the receptionist told me that there was another emergency and that she couldn't talk to the dr right at that moment and that she would call me back. A few minutes later she called me back saying they had already started Walnut's blood work because I approved it. Which is fine, I get that it was my fault. We decide to just to medication for Walnut. When I go to pick her up the office staff was incredibly rude. When I walked in I was ignored for a few minutes and then when I asked for clarification on the price they had given me they were very rude and talked to me like I was stupid. Walnut ended up healing with only the medication which makes me even more upset at the initial diagnosis for it being called an emergency. So basically, they offered mediocre service until I wasn't willing to pay $850 and then they were rude. read more

Best vet I have ever been to! There are only 2 Emergency vets in the Santa Clarita Valley. Valencia Vet is out to pick your pocket and has no empathy for what you might be going through. All Creatures is the complete opposite! The staff is beyond friendly and understanding. Prices are reasonable. They saved my dogs life! Vets and Technicians are extremely knowledgeable. My dog had pancreatitis. The staff ran a test and had a diagnosis within the first 30 minutes. She stayed there for 36 hours and was given the meds and IV therapy that she vitally needed. We could visit and call whenever we needed and she has since made a full recovery. They gave us specific instructions to ensure our dog doesn't have another bout of pancreatitis in the future. The services recommended for my cat seemed to be questionable and exorbitant. Once I indicated that I would not have my cat receive these services, the tech gave me a look and shook his head in apparent disapproval. I feel I made the right call. The operator is currently facing possible license revocation for this office in addition to two others. This is related to multiple complaints of negligence while he was on professional probation due to findings of the Veterinary Medical Board. I had taken my elderly dog here a few years back. Kids and I were extremely emotional and they preyed on that. They told me that if he had the surgery he would be alive at least for another year. Over $6,000 later and he was suffering at the end of the month post op and needed to be put down. They should have gently told us the truth about his prognosis but that would have meant they wouldn't have cashed in on a huge payday. Have never felt so calm at a vet. My dog is a very nervous chihuahua and they made her feel very comfortable given the situation. The price is resonable considering I arrived without notice at 4 am. No overnight fee. They offered both testing and symptomatic treatment. I went for the blood test. They did have to draw blood from her carotid artery because she would not stay still for them to successfully get it from her legs. They were very transparent of everything they did. read more

I am currently sitting in exam room 3 with my dog waiting for her shots. I called to make this appointment three days ago. I told the receptionist that I have never been to their clinic before. She then created a profile for me with my basic information and dogs name. As I arrived to my dogs appointment I asked the receptionist how much the shots were going to be. I was quoted 10 dollars a shot on the phone and I want to make sure that didn't change. So the 10 dollar shots stayed the same but then I was notified that it would be an additional $45 for the consultation/exam because my dog and I have never been here. I asked why I wasn't notified about this when I made the appointment? So just informing any new patients there is an exam fee that might now be mentioned. Besides that, the vet was fantastic as well as his staff. That were great with my dog and I will be going back there. I would also recommend anyone to go here with their animal. read more

Beware of this place. We brought our dog in Sunday because our regular Vet was closed. Our dog was throwing up and looking disoriented. The Vet took one look at our dog and said she has a brain tumor or some neurological disease. He said we could pay $1600 for a CT scan but it would just confirm the bad news...and so we should just consider putting her down. This was before he even examined her. I asked him to look in her ears, due to a history of ear infections. He did, and he said he saw nothing. He left to get the paperwork. We felt so wrong about all of it. Our dog was fine two days before, and now he is telling us to put her down. We left. The next day, we went to our regular vet. She found an ear infection in her ear! Ear drops and some dramamine to help with the dizziness caused by the swelling, and two days later, she is running around again. How could a trained Vet not see a massive ear infection?! He was going to put our dog down. While we were in the office another family was crying, as they had just put their pet down....and I can't help but wonder if this is all a scam. DO NOT GO HERE if you want to leave with your pet. I am horrified by our experience here. read more

I called for an emergency appointment and was told that no doctor was available. I was told to go to Lancaster or Reseda because the other "emergency vet," Valencia Veterinary, also has no doctor available. I happen to be sick myself, so I can't drive an hour or more away at 2 in the morning. It seems like someone should be called in if the scheduled doctor is unable to be there. Otherwise, don't call yourself a 24-hour emergency vet. read more

Brought our puppy by due to some bloody stool. Very friendly staff and Doc was super nice also. Doc even let us take a free can of food to help with her feeding. I am very disappointed due to the mistreatment my wife received from Ashley who works at All Creatures Veterinary Center at Newhall. Ashley's attitude towards my wife was very offensive with verbal attacks in an insulting manner. She used an unjustifiably harsh language in an elevated voice tone in speaking to her, and my daughter has witnessed this incidence. Background of the incident: My wife and my daughter took our male cat Simba to All Creatures Veterinary Center at Newhall last Tuesday night, 9/28/2021 due to a blockage in his urinary tract. After waiting for more than 4 hours, Simba was admitted for treatment. In the morning, my wife called and asked if they can see Simba. The answer from their office was yes. Then, they went to their center to see Simba. The receptionist told them that doctor will need to speak to them first before they can see Simba, and added that the doctor will be with them in a few moments. They waited 45 min in the room occasionally coming out of the room once or twice to ask about when the doctor was coming. They asked if they should come back at later time to see Simba. Then, Ashley interfered and yelled at my wife to go back to the room in an EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional manner claiming that they did not wait that long. My wife asked her name to file a complaint due to her rudeness. In return, Ashley threatened my wife to call the police. In the first place, they did not ask to see a doctor, but just asked to see Simba in his cage to find out his well-being. After all, their office told them they could see Simba. They came to their office, waited in their office, mistreated by Ashley in their office, and left their premises without seeing Simba - very upset and disappointed due to Ashley's mistreatment. Also, it did not matter how many times you explained something to Ashley - she said what she wanted to say without hearing you. THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER TREATMENT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! If I could give 1 star I would. I got here at 8:50pm. They told me to fill out the paper work and someone would come back to get it. An hour later no one came so I called and they said oops sorry, someone forgot to come get it. When they came to get the paper work they stayed I would NOW be put on the list so people that got there AFTER me but had someone come get their paper work and weren't forgotten about are now ahead of me. It's now 10:38pm and still no call. I am leaving. I don't feel comfortable with their level of care. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place read more
