If you are a place that already closes early you can't close early... Wednesday they close at 3pm so I drove 15 minutes to check it out, the pictures looked decent and I craved breakfast. I got there at 2:42pm, the lady said "we are closed, my manger said no more tables" I look at my phone and replied "y'all don't close for 20 mins, she replies "I know but that's what my manger said". So I stand there confused because I see other people seated eating and say well thanks and walk out. Gas being $4.19 I didn't appreciate waisting my gas and time. We just left All Day Cafe. And "Wow" what a delight! We almost went to pancake house, but I remember seeing All Day Cafe driving around the day before. Coffee is what we wanted since our hotel coffee was horrible. Our breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was fantastic. My breakfast choice was the Bacado, which had avocado eggs and bacon. My wife had the garden omelet. Both were way better than we expected. Sourdough bread, and Grits. We are originally from California, we moved to Eureka South Dakota almost 2 years ago. My BBQ chicken salad ($11 from the seasonal menu) tasted great, and was nicely sized, with a good portion of tasty chicken, a flavorful BBQ sauce, and a good variety of fresh veggies (including avocado slices). My order was served with a smile in 13 minutes. The service was attentive, cheerful, and friendly, while the interior was nicely done, with a full bar, a nice patio area, pleasant background music (not too loud), and free wi-fi. All day cafe is not really accommodating to those with food sensitivities and allergies. I was told several times by the waiter that I was drinking an oat milk latte that I ordered but it was soy... as revealed by the bill. This year exceeded all expectations....We are from out of town and do a little shopping before we fly out at Scheels and make it a point to stop in. This year not only was the food exceptional, We were met with superior service and friendly smiles. We came here two days on our vacation because the food was so good. The service the first day was fantastic but the second day fell a bit short. The waitress seemed to be bothered by us being there. Oh boy, where do I start? This has to be one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. The employees don't care about the customers and the food tastes...well, not good. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of how the restaurant looks. It looks like it would be a fabulous restaurant. Last Sunday morning, I took my daughter and her family for breakfast here to celebrate her birthday. We had a reservation for 9:30 and were seated promptly in one of the three large booths. Twenty minutes later, as the hostess bustled by, I politely asked if she could send a waitress over to us as we had not even been waited on yet, and my two young granddaughters were getting pretty hungry. As we waited, we noticed the first booth seated just before us had their food, and the middle booth, seated well after us, had drinks and had ordered. After 35 minutes, having had no service nor food but quite full on disappointment, we left. I realize that finding employees "is the new pandemic," but seating people (with a reservation!) and never even waiting on them is inexcusable. I hope the temporary closure of this restaurant brings them employees and a clearer focus on how to best serve their customers, but even when they re-open, I likely won't be among them. read more

This was the worst breakfast I have ever had. My eggs were rubber, the cafe potatoes managed to be burnt yet cold, and the biscuits were dry and stale. I was actually hopeful that it was going to be good because of how busy it was. I was definitely wrong. Our waitress only came to our table to take our order and to give us the bill-someone else brought the food to us. she never asked how the food was despite my food barely being touched. My Breakfast Club has been to All Day Café a few times. We always have had excellent food at ADC. Today was no exception! Our server was awesome! She was friendly, attentive, timely and efficient! Excellent job! The food was delicious! I had the Walleye Breakfast and I was impressed with the portions and quality of the food. The walleye was mild and crispy. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Hash browns were crispy! This is one of my favorite breakfast choices in Sioux Falls! I spoke with the manager when I left. We were visiting from out of state and this place was recommended to me by my Mother - who is a frequent customer!!! We are so glad we came here for breakfast. The food was very tasty, our waitress was excellent and very tentative. I had the California Club, my daughter was happy to finally order some of the best tasting steel-cut oats with fruit she has ever had. This place really was fabulous! Got there around 10am! We sat at the patio, which is beautiful with it's umbrellas and fountain and planters. . From the hostess to our waitress to the manager checking in on us, the staff was friendly and awesome! Then there is the food! Delicious! HUGE portions! We started off with a mimosa and coffee, they automatically brought us a water, too. The sunrise mimosa is good, as well, but we preferred the original. Hubby has the Chile verde huevos rancheros which was soooo good. Then we ate only HALF of my OMG French toast. That is delish. My garden omelette was more like an egg bake than an omelette, it was very very bland. I Ate a third of it and threw the rest out. It really did a number on my stomach. I couldn't eat much if my fruits, each one of the grapes in my fruit bowl had finger prints on them. Literal fingerprints. That being said- they were picked with bare hands, and not washed before being served to you... did the person handling my grapes that day go to the bathroom and not wash his or her hands? One reason to eat out is that each of us have a desire for different meals. My DH picked this place because he indicated there were some different options. Was he every correct! I had a hard time picking a meal, but ended up selecting the Chicken Salad and fruit plate. It was great. There was a nice sized scoop of Chicken Salad (chicken, grapes, bell pepper(?) celery) on butter leaf lettuce, a couple of slices of tomato, and lovely fresh fruit (strawberries, grapes, blue and black berries, pineapple and cantaloupe) along with a couple pieces of bread. My DH had the Pad Thai which he claimed as very tasty, but didn't have the heat he had expected. We had regular iced tea, but they have a number of specialty drinks available including espressos, non-soda iced beverages and iced concoctions, as well as adult additions. Then we ordered a piece of chocolate cake to take home. Well of course we had to have a sampling before leaving the restaurant - delicious. The place was not crowded. We had excellent service. The bathrooms were clean. Hand sanitizer was available in several locations. read more
