Tried this place for the first time since it's the closest self wash (with a working website/info). Definite points for affordability. $22 for our 80+ lb dog. They provide towels and shampoo. Don't love the shampoo smell and it's very thin. Still it did the job. There isn't a process for this so you just walk back and wait in line. I have been going to All for the Pet for a very long time. Lee and Mark were always able to answer any questions I had about feeding and caring for my dogs. Lee was very helpful in getting my Lacey less aggressive with other dogs by letting me have some supervised play dates with her dogs. And it worked like a charm. And my vet couldn't get over the difference in her the 2nd time she saw her. She was the best-behaved dog in there. I look forward to taking my new pup in to see them. I took my mini-bernedoodle to get his hair clipped. Told them that i only wanted him trimmed. Not much off of the length. $90 later, they shaved him and he looks like a poodle. DO NOT GO HERE. My husband and I took our bernese mountain dog here for a self serve bath. When we walked in the owner immediately asked us how big our dog was. When we responded with 70 lbs (he's a very small berner) she scoffed and replied with "i have never met one that is under 100 lbs" implying we were lying about his size. Of note they apparently have a 100 lb weigh limit for self service baths. She then went to check us in and we found out we were banned for "leaving water on the floor" during a bath in 2023. My husband and I were flabbergasted. Water on the floor during a bath just seems inevitable? We are also very considerate people who would never trash a place. When we tried to discuss this with the owner, she was rude, condescending, and called us liars. The absolutely worst customer service and overall someone I would NEVER want to give my business. Really nice shop with a variety of awesome food for my finicky dog. The prices are just right and the workers super friendly. They helped me find what we needed and struck up a nice conversation. It's a large space with various pets too. When we visited in the past there were rabbits and they allowed my daughter to touch them for a bit without being pretentious. I like the groomer here, but the owner is rude, and clearly racist. I had my 6 pound Yorkie sitting the the counter waiting to be groomed and he YELLS at me to take the dog off the the counter like he was really hurting anything. A white patron came behind me and did the exact same thing with a slightly larger dog. No response. NADA. I try not to purchase anything in there if I can help it. After being educated by a veterinary cardiologist and a normal veterinarian for my dog's nutritional needs, my husband and I were excited to find a place such as All for the Pet who seemed to have a wealth of knowledge and is active in the community. We are new to this area and it was wonderful being greeted by a nice older woman asking of our needs and thought it was nice to be the only customers in the store in order to have an intimate one-on-one educational conversation. Once I mentioned we were not open to a grain free diet and why (my Great Dane just passed from heart failure after being on a grain free diet for years) she lost her composure. "That is such bull.." stopping herself from saying any other colorful words, and downright scolding us while raising her voice. My husband attempted to deescalate the situation by telling her to stop speaking so we could further explain, but she felt so passionately about the topic that she kept speaking over us. After stating we would be leaving, she continued yelling about this topic even as we were exiting the building. Usually I don't pay much attention to a few bad reviews online, but if this is the same woman other reviewers have experienced, I wish we would have listened. This isn't about grain vs grain free, this is about a customer having needs and the business completely losing their composure over the request. We love supporting local businesses and pet boutiques such as this, but we will not return which breaks my heart. I have been a long time customer for all my dogs at this place, Today may be the last. After washing my dog here he had an accident, pee, on the floor. Some of it got on a sealed bag of product. I offered to clean it up and the owner said no. After she saw the accident she complained about how it was on the sealed bags of product that she just wiped off. She was rude and inconsiderate, telling me I need to keep my dog closer and expressing disgust on what she had to clean. After spending over 50 dollars this go around and the thousands over the years you would think her 10 seconds of wiping the stuff would not bother her. I get we all have bad days but I'm surely not the first person with a dog, or any pet that has had an accident in this place. read more

Great place to board your bird. Great self wash station. Wonderful staff and great service. I wish they had more dog fish treats to choose from. The shop is always clean. All for the Pet is a store that cares about the animals they serve. They do have their own opinions about what are the best products, but that's okay. I got my dog groomed there when she was alive and they always did a super good job. Now I buy my supplies for my parakeets. They have a good selection of bird foods and supplements. This is where I buy my birds when I need to replace them. They take good care of the animals that they sell and they expect you to do the same once you've made a purchase. Many people have mentioned rudeness in their reviews. Some people can be rude at that store but just as often they are reasonably pleasant. I don't go there to socialize, I go there to buy products and services. Overall, they are a reliably good store. read more

I wish I could give this place zero or even negative stars. It takes a lot for me to write a purely negative review, but this place deserves it. First, we only even went in, because we used to own a store in this center. We were acknowledged by none of the employees, as they even looked right at us and kept walking around. Um ok.. The fish are in horrible living conditions, the ones in the set up that is supposed to actually take care of them for easy maintaining(bettas) was awful. The pressure of the airflow going into the containers was so strong that it was literally beating up the fish. Moving right along.. One employee was complaining about the birds as she was taking care of them. Then we went over to look at the guinea pigs and bunnies. One of the bunnies had patches of hair missing.. And after seeing how the other animals are cared for, I cannot say that I am surprised. As if that wasn't enough, on our way out, I asked the oldest of the employees if it was still under the same ownership as when our store has been located next door. She ended up being my final straw and my insist on posting this. I will never give a cent of money to this store, due to her overly rude behavior. She was more interested in gossiping about previous and current shop owners within the mall/plaza, than helping customers.. No surprise there. When a customer came up for help, asking if they carried a specific brand of dog food, she coldly said no. Then that was it. So as he, his son, and his dog turned to leave, I suggested an online place for them to check, and that if they didn't have it, to try contacting their customer service because they can usually get it ordered for them. The man was happy and said he appreciated the help, and left. Then Cruella The B*tch turned to me and coldly said that she however did not appreciate my help, and that I just drove away her customer. So I asked her if she could of ordered the food for him, and she said yes but that she didn't want to. Wtf..Right..Ok. So I mentioned lightly that she did not have what he needed, so I simply suggested a place that did, and that he left happy. She goes on to say that she doesn't like the company of pet food that the man was looking for(A very well respected brand) and that is why they do not carry it, but that she would of suggested other brands to him. So I brought up that she actually just flat out told him no then let him proceed to leave the store with no further help from her at all, and that is when I spoke up. So she went on to say that she also does not like the online company that I referred him to, and that it is places such as that one, that are her competitor and could put her out of business. Well news flash b*tch..You Deserve To Go Out Of Business. At this point I bit my tongue then decided to leave before I gave her what was actually on my mind about how I viewed her, the situation, the treatment of the animals, the store, and the lack of customer service. The online store I recommend? Chewy. They have a full website and app. They are absolutely wonderful and their customer service is absolutely stellar. If I could give this place zero stars I would! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO BE GROOMED HERE!! The cuts turn out terrible, you will pay top dollar, and my dog appears so terrified walking into this establishment that she has had accidents on herself several times. There must be something going on because they rotate through groomers quickly, often hiring temp groomers who dont know what they're doing. The head groomer is absolute nightmare to deal with, she cancels appointments last minute; for personal reasons or because she "just doesn't feel like doing it" and doesn't communicate whats going on. She once told me she is going through "the court system right now" and doesnt have availability-- whatever that means. My dog is a sweetheart but can be squirmish during grooming if not handled with patience- i've seen her groomed successfully with ease by excellent groomers in the past, but all for the pet told me she was too difficult and that i had to sedate her at the vet for grooming. I could understand her point if she had ever alerted me to any issues my dog had in the past- however, i have taken her many times and not a single word has been uttered about her "difficult" behavior. I made an appointment to get her groomed, nothing was said at the time of making the appointment. However, I got a last minute call cancelling the appointment, citing this reason. I rearranged my work schedule to have my day available to drop off and pick up. When I called back for clarification and to better understand her behavioral issues, she basically told me this is an ongoing problem and that she just doesnt feel like dealing with my dog anymore and then was hung up on... NEWS TO ME. If you value good customer service along with the happiness, safety, and well-being of your pets I urge you to look elsewhere. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I was confronted by an older woman with glasses, probably the manager. I walked in with 4 of my other friends. We are all 18 years old. She first came up to us while looking at the fish and asked our age to make sure we could actually buy something in the store. She continued to follow and watch us in the store. After about 5 minutes she came over and told asked "are you going to actually buy anything or just keep playing around with our stuff?" We told her about the fish we wanted to buy. Just had a very bizarre and off-putting experience. I've been using them for dog washing for about a year, and that's been great. They completely undid the goodwill built before, in about one minute tonight. We stopped by to see the bunnies, and my daughter took her phone out to take a picture. Someone on the staff said "we don't allow pictures" or words to that effect. My daughter expressed that this was strange, and he then reiterated this, going on to say on to say "we don't allow iPhones." Huh?! What are you, Lockheed Martin and you're guarding the next generation fighter from intellectual property theft? Very bizarre. No problem, enjoy the loss of business with the crazy strange rule. Very new to using this store. I've always bought the "high end" dog food from the big pet supply stores. I've fed my dog who is a retriever and hunting partner always the best. His last food, Blue Wilderness with Chicken seemed to work well with him.but then I noticed some changes with hisneating habits. Being a lab, its odd to find one who is picky and doesmt scuff down his food. He's always been a slow eater but then he started not liking to eat. Ate when he was probably starving. Then he started getting sick and after an expensive weekend trip to the ER vets in Annapolis, started researching foods. So turns out he may have some allergies to chicken believe it or not. Thought I'd check out All for the Pet. Local place, speciality foods which I know aren't always necessary. But checked it out. The owners son took his time reviewing different foods with me. Also made it clear if the food we decide on doesn't work, bring it back and try another at no additional cost. So first try was a charm and we've had no problems since. They seem very honest and helpful. Educated on pet needs and not some 20/something kid trying to figure out their next career move. Great job AFTP! read more

We bought a bird cage for a wild and injured bird my kids rescued in our neighborhood. By time we got home the bird had died and we didn't have a chance to even use the cage. We tried to return the unused cage in brand new condition but they refused to take it back. My kids used their own money they worked hard to earn. Now they have no use for it and can't get their money back. Very disappointing and seems like bad business policy. We won't be going to them for any future pet needs. read more

I will not board my parrot anywhere else. He was very well cared for and is always a happy fella. I also use the dog self-wash. Always had what I needed to bath my 3 dogs and never any issues. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very helpful. I have been in customer service all my life and the staff and ownership is top notch! I was disappointed to see that a Guinea pig purchased requires you to also purchase a cage at the store (no exceptions) yet there were no suitable cages available. None of the cages offered fit the humane society's guidelines for Guinea pigs. I wasn't even looking for a Guinea pig but that struck me as odd. I was also bothered to see a heat lamp over a leopard gecko with no signs of a under the tank heat source, which is a requirement for their digestion. :( read more

Great local business,not your typical "chain" pet store. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. Their dog washing stations are awesome,especially for bigger dogs,and they have a great selection of natural and "raw" dog foods. Not a huge store,so its easy to find what your looking for,and if they dont have it,they will order it upon request. No more pet "superstore" for me. I am a weekly visitor to this store,and am always greeted with a friendly hello and a smile,and my dogs are like family here. After explaining to an employee the type of dog I have and age I was sold a dog bone recommended by the employer. When I got home and gave my dog the bone her gums and mouth were bleeding and I immediately went back to the store to return it. The employer said I should have read the small print about possible chipping. The print was so small you needed a magnifying glass to read it and even then I'm sure she made up the warning on the back. They were not happy about my return. Either way every time I have come in this store with my dog on a leash I got awful looks from the manager. Will not be shopping here again. read more

Used to have a good product selection, now things are not in stock and it's always the supplier's fault. While this is a plausible reason, one item has been out of stock for almost a year. Called one afternoon and asked about a particular variant of one company's dog food and was told that they had it in stock. Showed up and the person that I had spoken with showed me the bag. Two different variants, but she insisted that they were the same because both had chicken in the label. She then sighed, shrugged her shoulders and walked off. It's a shame people get to write reviews when they have a 'bad experience', brought on by their own bad attitude, lack of respect for others, and over-inflated sense of self worth. I like this place a lot. Since moving here a couple of months ago, we have had a very sick foster kitten and a new puppy. folks here have been amazing; recommending product and services, special ordering supplies for the sick kitten, etc. When our new puppy went off her food the owner was just great about talking through the problem and making suggestions, even offering to take back the original food. They recommend community resources, and have given me some great tips for puppy behavior. Best tip so far... carry a very soft stuffed animal in my pocket on walks so that when she chews the leash I can substitute the stuffed animal. It works! No more expensive chewed through leashes and she is more settled on walks with the toy in her mouth. When we asked about future grooming for our pup (long haired dog), the owner suggested a kind of mini session to get her used to being handled by the groomer so that her association with the process is positive. Lisa, the groomer, had her for about fifteen minutes and very sensitively introduced her to the grooming process, which will certainly make it easier for us in the future. So, all in all, multiple positive experiences that will keep me coming back. read more

We dropped our Schnauzers off to be groomed and picked up two dogs who were shaved bald. In 30 years of having our dogs groomed this is by far the worst outcome ever. My 3 year old daughter did a better job with a pair of Fiskars scissors. Worst groomers we have ever had. read more

I've shopped here many times. Yesterday I purchased a chew toy for my dog. One chew and it ripped apart. Called the store and was told ok, bring it back for a refund. I came in the next day and was greeted by a rude manager. I told her I called last night and could get a refund. She said we don't give refunds for chew toys. She said that the employee was wrong. I told her nowhere on the receipt that it shows refunds are not permitted for chew toys after presenting my receipt. She then threaten me and said if I didn't like the policy I would get no money back and could leave the store. At that point the owner came out. I told her how rude and insulting her manager was. She proceeded to tell me the policy on the returned item. I argued and said this is no way to treat a customer. She said to me "every customer thinks their special if you don't like it go to Petsmart and shop. Personally I don't see a future for all for the pet store in Severna Park we are trying to support our local business but the way I was treated was horrible. This should never happen no customer should ever be treated that way. After I told her what I thought she then decided to give me a refund . I went to "All for the Pet" last night to purchase dog food. I have been a customer for 20 years. I had all my dogs groomed there, bought all my dog food there, even though it was more expensive than the big corporate stores. I believed in supporting the local small business person, until now. The store was extremely hot last night, even though there were animals there. I grabbed my bag of dog food and went to the counter and waited. I spotted a short man with a mustache and glasses talking to the young lady that has waited on me numerous times in a very polite manner. After standing there for a while a lady that was in the store rolled her eyes at me as if to say I can't believe that no one has helped you or said "I will be right with you". I finally asked the two employees who were in the small refrigerator together, if they could ring me up. I didn't think that would be a problem. The gentleman, and I use that word very loosely, was rude. He let me know there were other people in line before me. I didn't see anyone in line. What happened to the day when people cared about their customer, and gave a friendly "I will be right with you"? After the rude man in the store told me in a rude way "There were other people before you". They must have been invisible. I let him know I was going to buy my dog food someplace else. That seemed to made him very happy. I went across the street to Petco and was greeted by two friendly employees. I told the lady that my dogs eat Earthborn dog food. They did not carry that brand there, but she showed me the ingredients that was in Earthborn, and matched it with a brand they had, with a much better price. It saddens me that I am parting ways with "All For the Pet". I am not going to be treated like they are doing me favor. I would of waited all night to check out, if someone just acknowledged me. Wish I had read the other reviews before giving this place my business buying last minute supplies for my dog. Yes, it's overpriced, but that's what you get for not planning ahead, so I'm okay with that. But a very rude man works here- probably the one that everyone seems to have issues with - older guy- late 60s likely. Probably the owner. He just shouldn't be in any kind of customer service. I shouldn't walk out of there more stressed than I walked in. I also hate some of their policies... I'm a rabbit owner as well and while I'd never buy a rabbit from them anyway, but it's absurd that they require the purchase of a cage when the ones they offer, I'd never put my rabbit in. Anytime I need a product that might require a question, I'd much rather just go a few blocks to another pet store than get yelled at by this guy. It's too bad because some of the girls who work there have been nice. But I'm done. read more
