Jose and his staff of electricians are just the best. Jose installed a new electrical panel last year and Wilmer was here today to replace our outdated light timers. More companies should be this reliable, courteous, and knowledgeable. If they seem expensive to you, there is much more involved than the price of the parts at Home Depot. These guys have certifications/licenses/insurance to keep current, and the time they spent with me answering questions, looking at this and that, travel, time in communication, etc etc - it all adds up. Consistent with the other review posted, which says a lot in and of itself, the pricing is outrageous with this company. To help put things in perspective, the quote provided was nearly $15,000 for the work to be done, and I found another electrician who completed everything for under $3,000. The big red flag was when Jose, the owner of the company, offered financing for the work to be done (this was offered just before the quote was provided). As soon as the financing was communicated I knew something wasn't right. Financing is typically reserved for a large purchase of a home or for a purchase of a vehicle, not basic electrical work in a personal home. I hope this review helps spark more fair and reasonable pricing from this organization, and helps provide a heads up to other potential customers. read more

One was swapping out a 10-year-old (working) bathroom light/fan for a new unit we had. Wanted $650 for something that would take like 15 minutes. Another was swapping out an old outdoor (working) light fixture. Probably 10 minute job. Wanted $180. I'll skip the other quotes, which were laughable. Called AP Electrics about a possible electronic panel upgrade on Sunday and got a call back in the morning on Monday from Jose. He discussed my options and came that same day to look at the electric panel. He was punctual, honest, and trustworthy. He stated that there was no need to upgrade the panel and the best course of action was to place the AC unit on its own circuit breaker. They went back to their truck, got their material, and finished the project within the hour. They also tightened up all the electric wires on the panel and recommended a surge protector to combat any lingering issues I had. Before having my family room repainted, we wanted to move the ceiling fan to a more aesthetically-pleasing location in the room and wanted to replace a semi-flush mount ceiling light in the hallway with a recessed light. I called AP Electrics, and surprisingly Jose answered the phone (no need to leave a message and wait for a call back). He scheduled the work for the following week. He and his fellow electrician arrived on time. They installed the ceiling fan box in its new location and took down the ceiling fan. Jose informed me they could not convert the hallway light to a recessed light, but would put in a flush mount light when he returned to re-install the ceiling fan once the painters were done. One month later, when the painting was finally completed, I called Jose again and set up another appointment to re-install the ceiling fan, install the flush mount hallway light fixture, install a dimmer switch, and disconnect power to some of the outdoor lighting. Again, the two electricians arrived on time and completed the work efficiently and competently. Jose is wonderfully responsive and he and his fellow electricians are professional, leaving us feeling secure about their competence and knowledge.
