A couple of months ago, it became apparent to us that my 94-year old brother suffering from Parkinson's could benefit from changing from his wheelchair to a much lighter Transport Chair. We live in the SF Bay Area but we drive up to Portland periodically to visit. Folding, storing and handling a real wheelchair is very difficult for us and other senior folks that take him to restaurants, doctors visits, shopping and other daily activities. His physical strength has declined considerably and he can't propel the wheelchair under his own power. He wasn't able to do that even at the time he first received the wheelchair as a gift by a good friend of his. The generous friend was not aware of the differences between wheelchairs and transport chairs. He thought he was doing the right thing. On our last trip we decided to look into getting him an inexpensive transport chair. We went online to get an idea of what was available in the various price ranges. We went to look at some at Walgreen, a medical supply place in Gresham and at All In One Mobility, Hands down, the latter was the best experience of all. Christina was a really big help. She really knows her inventory and the lines of equipment. We learned a lot from her and she was most helpful in assessing the needs for my handicapped brother. She showed us the differences in the various wheelchairs and transport chairs. It became apparent to us within a few minutes that we were real novices and needed the help of a professional in this type of equipment. We ended up with a Drive Medical Lightweight Expedition Aluminum Transport Chair. It was lightweight, sturdy with exceptional build quality. It had larger rear wheels to make it easier to bump up over curbs and other obstacles. The quality of the wheels, bearings and fittings was obvious. A 'test drive' around the store demonstrated how easily it handled. It was so very easy and effortless - easier than his heavy duty wheelchair. It can be repaired and serviced by All In One Mobility, if needed. It was a bit more expensive than the cheapest chair from Walgreen but it is so much better built and has the larger rear wheels that it was a 'no-brainer' for us. We are extremely appreciative of the professional help and care from Christina! If you need any mobility help I would definitely go here first. Christina Forlenza was so helpful. She listened to what was needed and suggested a lightweight wheelchair that was half the cost of what others had suggested. As a result of her help we went back for a lightweight walker and again she listened and we now have the perfect walker for what is needed. Her staff is also pleasant. The company found my original review and contacted me in order to "make things right". They did indeed offer to buy back the wheelchair from me, less a 15% restocking fee. Okay, sure, not too bad. At least I'm not losing the full $2k+. However, the woman who called me (Christine? Christina? not sure) was extremely unprofessional and even unkind. She began the call fine enough, telling me that they were going to go ahead and buy back the chair, etc, but after we settled that matter, she said "So, I need to talk to you about your Yelp review." And then proceeded to vent her frustrations and her anger at me, spending nearly 15 minutes berating me for my original review. When, in defense of this attack, I actually apologized for hurting her feelings and said, "I'm not at my best, since I'm dealing with the aftermath of being hit by a car," she was completely dismissive. She said, and I quote, "Yeah, yeah, I know your backstory." She went on, talking about how All in One had been doing everything they could to help me, and when I said there'd been no signs of that on my end in the months I'd been dealing with them, she was just dismissive. She then said that they're a small business that can't afford to take a loss. I tried to explain that we'd saved money for months to buy this chair; I can't take a $2000 loss for a mistake their representative made, but my explanations were again ignored. Finally, she attempted to drag me into their company politics, and when I refused to get involved, she made several unprofessional comments and said she would just assume what she wanted to believe. I've never been treated so unprofessionally in my life; it is entirely inappropriate for a company and their staff to criticize and berate an already-unhappy customer. If their hope was for me to update my review, well, they certainly succeeded at that. read more

I ordered a shower which cost over $3k. When I called to cancel after having some serious health and car expenses, I was told that someone would call me back. Since no one called me after a couple of days, I called again. I was told that the rep was in yesterday and said they would not accept returns. The problem is that I was never told that the product had even come into their store when I called to cancel. (Now I am being told that it came in on the day that I called to cancel) My contractor said that he had not been advised that it was in either, but he hoped it would be in by 8/13 so he could install it. I was told that the manager found the no return policy "unacceptable" and would contact the manufacturer. But, even if they agreed to accept return, I was told that they would charge me "shipping AND restocking fees despite the fact that the manufacturer could resell it in just a couple of days". Since the product has not been received by me, or opened, it would seem that I should only have to pay for shipping. I know that All in One Mobility would have leverage with the manufacturer and hope that they will protect their customer. It's now up to them to see if they will support their customers or their vendors. I will update as soon as I hear back from them. read more

I am disabled, elderly, and live alone in a house with stairs on 2 levels. I wanted to install an elevator, as my disability will likely worsen with age and I want to be independent and stay in my home. I was quite clear when I spoke to All in One that I needed battery /generator backup in case of power failures to be able to access the entire house (to find my battery lanterns, prepare food, use the fireplace for warmth, shower, etc.). At no time was I told that the elevator model I was buying would just take me to the garage, lock itself, and strand me there. If I had known this, I would have immediately looked for a Generac generator, and would have had it installed over the spring/summer. Now, we are heading into another cold winter, and there is a 9 month wait for Generac generators (a whole house one with an elevator costs $13,000.00, plus wiring and installation, and a propane and natural gas connection). In February 2021 I lost power for 12 consecutive days. After spending $100,000.00 on the elevator, and experiencing another power outage of 3 hours in 10/25/2021, I found to my dismay that the elevator is programmed to go to the garage level and cannot be called again, as it 'locks' itself. This may work in a fire situation, but not for a 2 week power outage in freezing temperatures. After trying to call it for 15 minutes, the battery died. I have difficulty walking, and cannot go up/down stairs. If we have another extended power failure due to ice in the future, my elevator is useless, as the battery backup is inadequate for anything except taking a person to the ground level. A disabled person in their garage alone for several days without power or heat, unable to get upstairs to even get a drink of water is in a life threatening situation, especially in an ice storm when rescuers cannot reach me. The elevator has a phone, but since it locks its door, it is useless because I cannot open the door to use it. I called All in One to discuss what they could do to remedy this situation, and I agree with the other commenters that the woman who answers the phone is a nightmare. She is curt, and said that if the problem is not with a defective part in the elevator itself, but rather the battery/generator, there was nothing they could do. At this point I became angry, told her how much I had spent on the elevator, and that I expected better service from them and ideas to solve the problem. She argued with me, saying I 'did not spend that much money on the elevator'. I guess she is too stupid to understand that the elevator cab itself is only one cost - it has to be framed, a concrete foundation has to be poured, wired, and installed, including putting in a phone, and the added cost of a dedicated phone number. I did spend slightly over $100,000.00, I have the receipts. She then proceeded to chastise me because she did not like how I was speaking to her. I hung up on her, and tried to speak to the owners without luck. They have since told my contractor 'they want nothing more to do with me'. Sure..... after they sold me an elevator that will not work in a power outage situation. These people have no expertise with disabilities, all they want to do is make money selling products whether they work for the needs of the disabled or not. I notice the positive reviews are for wheelchairs. They are clueless when it comes to the needs of the disabled for residential elevators - they should stick to selling wheelchairs. The bottom line is that if you are a disabled person in a wheelchair, walker or with other mobility issues and buy an elevator from these people, you will not to be told the complete truth - apparently getting a 2-hour battery for the elevator (although available online for other elevators) is not available for the type of elevator they sell, and the disabled person risks being trapped in the garage for days during a power outage without a way to get to safety upstairs to their fireplace, bathroom, shower, kitchen or bedroom. If you have mobility issues, run away from these people and don't buy an elevator from them - it could cost you your life. I wish I could give them negative numbers in this review. read more

We just had All in One Mobility replace the treads on a wheelchair. The work was fine, but we were charged (in advance) double the labor time that the work actually took. When I asked about getting a refund for a portion of the labor costs, the staff looked at me as though I had three heads and then gave a lame explanation about "maybe charging for the time it took to order the part or something...?" I will be taking up my complaint with management, but I worry that this business takes financial advantage of elderly customers. (As a side note, they also knocked off a plastic piece of the wheelchair and then couldn't find it and then claimed that they weren't the ones who did it.) The staff is friendly and Jody, one of the owners, is a hard worker and friendly guy. But Christina who deals with scheduling and payments is a nightmare. She has very poor customer service, is rude and very unprofessional. For the amount of money we spend there, she should really think about how she talks to her customers. I had a wonderful experience with this company. I was in need of renting a scooter for an event in Feb of 2016. I called and booked a scooter. They asked me some questions about my needs and booked the perfect scooter. When I showed up they had it ready, it was in great condition and fully charged and ready to go plus they showed us how to take it apart and put it back together. Everyone at AIOM is fantastic at this location. They are knowledgeable and friendly without being hard sales people. They are genuinely interested in what is best for each individual customer and their quality of life. I showed up for a mobility chair repair two hour before my scheduled appointment.( I know... I have no social life!) :) Despite it being near lunch time my repair was still completed before my original appointment time rolled around. I cannot speak to Kyeli S's review, but I do hope that her challenges were temporary. I have been disabled from birth. Premature delivery resulted in cerebral palsy... When it comes to adaptive equipment and all the red tape with insurance and 'qualifying' for what you need or getting the wrong thing, I completely understand the frustration. Unfortunately it comes with the territory. Having said that, I have never experienced anything but exuberant help from everyone at AIOM. I especially appreciate that they have techs in their repair shop who use wheelchairs/adaptive equipment themselves. There is an inherent trust that comes from talking to another person that is also sitting down. They just 'get it!' I think that helps make all the staff that work there a little more in the know about challenges their customers face. Customer Service, Sales, Delivery, Set up,and repairs, They are with you from beginning to end! If you have needs for service or equipment, do not hesitate to call them. They WILL help you. We were in the Portland area as a stop over for vacation. My husband's mobility scooter stopped working as we were leaving the hotel for the airport. We stored the scooter at the hotel and left for our trip, which was a stressful situation. But a quick call to All in One Mobility was all it took to find someone to repair the scooter while we were gone. The technician picked up our scooter from the hotel, repaired it and returned it to the hotel for a very reasonable price. Within a year of moving into our new home, my elderly parents had surgeries and an Alzheimer's diagnosis. The six steps to enter/exit the house might as well have been Everest treks. All In One Mobility installed a platform lift that was expensive but well worth the cost in terms of accessibility, safety, and comfort. Installation required carpentry and electrical work, and AIOM gave excellent referrals. Almost a year after installation, the lift started to make a scary grinding noise. I dreaded dealing with yet another problem under time-pressured caregiving. Within a few hours after an email exchange with Christina, however, Adam came to the house, assessed the problem, and fixed it. From sales (Ken) to repair, everyone at AIOM has been professional and warmly caring. With every ride on the lift, my father says, "This must have cost a lot." I respond, "The elevator was expensive.
