We came here with friends as we're British and have high expectations of Indian food. We've now been here a few times and I must say the quality of food is excellent and the service is a very good standard. The owner walks around and checks in on all the guests. The ambience is very relaxed and the experience is fantastic for a local restaurant. They have a location in Pasadena and another one in Glendale. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want. Good quality, Indian food. We've tried most of the curries on the menu and biryani's. The tandoori platter is also excellent quality. I recommend the chai, it's very well flavored and refillable.

I decided to stop by for lunch. The restaurant is bright and nicely decorated with Indian decor. I was immediately greeted by 2 staff members of the restaurant and was seated. They immediately brought me menus. I ordered the Maderas Margarita and Tikka Shrimp Salad with an upgrade for the garlic naan off of their lunch special menu. They had really fun names for their cocktails. The Maderas Margarita was interesting. The taste of the jalapeno was bold, the way it should be for a spicy margarita. There was mashed mint and cilantro in it. The drink tasted more like a mojito than a margarita. Nonetheless, it was well presented with a jalapeno on the rim of the glass for decoration and the drink was very much enjoyable. The Tikka Shrimp Lunch Salad was full of flavor. There was grilled mushrooms, diced cucumbers, diced tomatoes, and mozzarella cubes in it. The grilled shrimp was deliciously grilled. The house dressing seem to be done your of Indian spices vinaigrette which was very interesting. I would say that the spice level on this was mild to medium. I enjoyed this dish. The garlic naan bread was served fresh. It was the perfect thickness where you can experience both the crispiness and the soft bread at the same time. The garlic flavor wasn't overpowering. It was nicely done. I would definitely return to try other items and perhaps their happy hour menu.

Came here for dinner and the place is just absolutely beautiful! I love the attention to detail in the decor. Nice to know there is a happy hour of $6 bites which we ordered the pani puri shots and the fish pakora-both delicious. The panipuri came in this super cute wagon that actually moves! The entrees we chose was a vegetable curry and the lamb saag, saffron rice and garlic naan. Everything was mild spicy and so filling, there were leftovers for a meal the next day.

Amazing Indian restaurant in the SGV! Very friendly service. Accommodated us for outdoor seating with our pug. Inside ambience is nice. Food is delicious. Brought me back to my fond memories of traveling India. The Vegetable Curry was great. The naan came out warm and tasty. The Pani Puri was so solid, bursting with flavor. Also love the unlimited refills on the chai tea. Will definitely come back

I have been craving Indian food so I went onto Yelp to see what were some options around my area. To be honest there wasn't that many but this restaurant came up as one of the highest rated Indian restaurants in the area so I was really excited to give it a try. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and there was no line so we got seated right away. We got served menus and water and was able to place our order relatively quickly. We got their mango lassi pani puri shots garlic naan and their chicken tikka masala to share amongst two people. The pani puri shot was my favorite dish out of everything that we ordered. It was also my very first time trying this dish and it was so good. It was crispy and flavorful and the sauce gave it a burst of flavor all in one bite. I definitely recommend you ordering this dish if you ever visit this restaurant. Everything else was just OK. The mango lassi was thick and not that sweet. It was leaning more on that tangy side, which I personally do not like the garlic naan was not bad. It was fluffy and garlicky but I personally like my naan more on the dinner and crispier side. And then lastly, the chicken tikka masala was also just OK. It was definitely more on the saucy side and less on the chicken side and this dish does not come with the rice so you would have to order that separately. I would come back here to order the puri shots, but that may be about it. The restaurant is quite big and the staff was nice, so there's no knock there. I would still be open to coming back here to try their other dishes.

the biryani had very balanced flavors. the garlic naan and aloo matar were on a more neutral tone. the samosas however were great! we got the spiciest spice level and it wasn't too spicy although I think it could use more. overall 3/5 since some of the food I feel could have been more robust. the staff are very friendly and seem to love what they do here. the restaurant itself is clean and has a modern style. the restrooms are also clean as well. of note there is mostly only street parking around this restaurant. there is one small lot for the restaurant in the back alley.

Super happy to finally have such a vibrant, modern, and slightly "dive-y in the best way" Indian spot with a full bar here in Arcadia. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were on point, and yes... spring for the garlic naan. Worth every extra buck. What made the experience even better was the hospitality. Owner Simon genuinely cares about both the flavors and the customer experience, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Had such an enjoyable time and already looking forward to going back and bring the FamBam. Highly recommend! :)

If you are looking for authentic and vibrant Indian flavors in the Arcadia area, All Indian Cafe is a fantastic choice. The restaurant offers a warm atmosphere and a menu that captures the essence of traditional Indian street food and classic entrées. We began our meal with the Pani Puri, and it was easily the highlight of our visit. For those unfamiliar, these are crisp, hollow dough balls filled with a mixture of flavored water, chili, chaat masala, potato, onion, and chickpeas. The version here is truly special--perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. It provides that authentic "explosion of flavor" that makes this street food classic so addictive. For our main course, we tried the Traditional Curry with both chicken and fish. Both proteins were prepared perfectly, and the traditional curry sauce itself had a very deep, impressive flavor profile. We noticed many other varieties of curry on the menu that looked tempting, and we are already planning to return to try those next time. To complement the spices, I highly recommend ordering the Mango Lassi. It is exceptionally good--creamy, refreshing, and the perfect way to round out the meal. The service is attentive and the staff is happy to provide recommendations if you are unsure of what to order. They are also very friendly and patient with everything you neeed. It's a comfortable spot for both a casual weeknight dinner or a more celebratory weekend meal with friends. We had our family reunion there and it was great.

I came here for lunch during Dine LA restaurant week. For $25 you get an appetizer, choice of protein, basmati rice, dal, salad, garlic naan and a drink (hot or iced chai tea). I had the chicken tikka masala and my husband had the lamb sheesh kebab. Everything was delicious. The sauces that come with the appetizer were also delicious. Service staff were friendly and attentive. One thing I didn't care for was the decor of the restaurant. It is very minor; it's simply personal taste. Another thing I didn't like was the parking situation for this place. The parking in back of the restaurant is very small and crowded. It is best not to park there. It's hard to get in and out of that back alley. Try to find parking on the nearby side streets. I can overlook these minor issues since I enjoyed the food and the service. I will be back to try other dishes.

First time here with my bestie, we were so excited walking in and now we are planning when to come back here!! It's a family owned business and all waitresses are so friendly and welcoming. We feel so welcomed and invited. They have table/chairs and booths, all clean, neat and comfortable. Love their interior design and decorations too. Seems like you actually dine in India. Luckily we came on their first day of promoting Dine LA, so we took the chance to enjoy their dinner set menu, from the appetizer to dessert. Can't express how much we enjoyed our food and drinks, everything is so fresh and authentic. I've been to many other Indian restaurants and this is so far my top favorite. Finally got a chance to try this spot since I saw it on DineLA, and the reviews don't lie, this place is great. We came in through the back entrance since there's a small parking lot in the back. We both got the $35 dinner menu, which came with a ton of items to try. Here's everything it came with: Salad - Surprisingly loved this. Not sure what dressing it was, but it was so good. (5/5) Samosa - A classic. It's a bit different than the huge triangular one I'm used to, but this felt lighter and refreshing. (4.5/5) Aloo Tikki - First time ever trying this, and I would totally get it again. It's somewhat similar to a samosa but still different. Nice flavors. (4.5/5) Lamb Sheesh Kabab - So good. Very well seasoned and super tender. Tasted very fresh. (5/5) Fish Masala - Not normally a fish person, but this one was phenomenal. Nice chunks of fish in a solid curry. (5/5) Palak Paneer - Tasty. Simple, but good. (4/5) Gobi Aloo - Another simple veggie dish, but a nice complement to everything else. Overall tasty. (4/5) Kheer - Nice pudding. Not overly sweet, and I enjoyed this. (4.5/5) Gulab Jamun - I've had this at a lot of places, but I liked that these weren't overly sweet. Still sweet, but just the right amount. (5/5) Overall, I'd definitely come back to try items off the non-DineLA menu because everything was really good. Very nice ambiance, and the service was quick and friendly. Loved the overall experience. Parking: Street parking in the front, plus a small lot behind the restaurant (about 6-8 cars).

I stopped by to get my lunch special. I ordered chicken tandoori lunch special. The server was very friendly. After I ordered, she offered me water while I wait for my food. Another person came, could be the manager to check in with me and shared they have live music Friday night. My lunch finally came and the portion is great. The chicken is flavorful but a little on the dry side. The fried rice is good and the garlic naan has a good aroma. Portion is just right and lunch special pricing is reasonable. I'd like to come back and dine in to fully enjoy the vibe. Theirs is bar in the restaurant, I'm sure dinner time has fun vibe with live music.

I've been coming to All India Café in Pasadena for over 20 years, so I was thrilled to see they opened a new branch in Monrovia! We came in for lunch and I had my all-time favorite--Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan--and it was absolutely delicious. The space is clean, spacious, and the staff is very friendly. You can really taste how fresh the food is. I'm so glad they're here in Arcadia, and I'll definitely be coming back. A couple of days ago my husband was driving down Huntington Drive and saw this lovely little gal, jumping up and down on the back of a truck waving toward the sign that said "All India Café."Last night he suggested we go there. I was thrilled to learn that Arcadia now has an Indian restaurant. We really enjoyed it! We have been eating Indian food for many many years including in Nepal and India (though I am still terrible at remembering what most of the dishes are called) and this place was definitely on the level. The service was excellent and the decor was beautiful, especially the amazing mural on the wall!! We ordered two full meals, one was lamb curry and the other was chicken tiki masala. The lamb curry was fabulous. My husband loved the chicken tiki masala. The sauce was delicious, but the chicken was a little tough for me. We really enjoyed the lentils, the vegetable dish, and especially the cucumber salad. Yum! They even brought us the honey cheese balls on the house. They were really a treat as they were freshly made, not out of some jar. The restaurant has two other locations, one in Pasadena and one in Glendale. They have been family owned since 1996. I came her with my man and we love trying new indian resturants around Arcadia ,alhambra,pasadena etc. So far this is the best indian resturant I have try local. I love the services. They took over the japanese sushi place that didn't open long. I hope this place will open forever. Our new Indian resturant we love that we don't have to drive to far. At last--a good restaurant in town! All India Café checks all the boxes for enjoyable dining: great food, pleasant ambiance, reasonable prices, and a nice central location. The restaurant has an extensive menu with all the favorites. We had the Dine L.A. menu which included seven items plus a glass of wine; ample portions at a very reasonable price! The meal was first rate: tasty and flavorful. We had chicken tandoori and chicken tikka masala as main courses; side dishes included samosas and the best garlic naan we've ever tasted! We topped off the meal with delectable desserts of Kheer and Gulab Jamun. Melodic background sitar music created a pleasant ambiance, and the service was impeccable. Dining at the All India Café was an all around delightful experience. We will return as regular customers. read more

Great flavors and food! Staff was really nice and friendly, checked in a lot to make sure our food was good. Only complaint is that the chicken in my chicken biryani was dry, but other than that the sauce was great at the lamb on my brother's lamb masala was terrific. The garlic naan was great too! Food was not very good, it was bland. The portion size was really small for how much we paid for. For two it was 80 dollars tip included already. We just got one entre, two dinner entries(Tikka Masala and Tandoori Plate), bought rice too because its not part of the curry, and a mango lassi. The price is just too much for too little food that tasted bad. The service was also mediocre where our water glasses was not filled and the resturant was only at half capacity. read more

Went today for lunch with a friend and so happy we did! This location definitely has a leg up on the Pasadena spot, where parking is scarce and (when you do find it eventually) expensive. The location is great on Huntington where you can park on the street easily. The space itself is airy and colorful, so nice to have the elbow room. Everything is brand new! They just had their grand opening a week ago. I ordered the chana masala lunch special which came with a dal and leafy green salad and Basmati rice. I upgraded to garlic naan, always worth it in my opinion. It all was hot and fresh and delivered quickly. My friend ordered the Tandoori fish which I had a bite of it, the tang and crunch was perfect. I'm getting that next time! Next time can't be too soon. read more

Got the lamb masala lunch and dal, and the garlic naan upgrade. Lamb was tender, dal and sauce were both very flavourful. The rice was fluffy without being sticky, and the naan had a lot of garlic without being overpowering. Staff were friendly and attentive, kept checking on us but not too often that it was annoying. Just enough to make sure we were enjoying our experience. Senior staff member came out to chat andsupplement the efforts of our waitress. Very friendly, didn't seem overbearing towards staff. Just supportive. 10/10 would recommend and will be back! read more

The most delicious Indian food around ! So good we were there 2 times in the same week , the Service is amazing the whole staff very polite and friendly, attentive. This place could be spectacular. I am a total curry snob and until tonight have never found anywhere in LA that's up to much. However... All India, does a lot right. By far the lightest and most delicate Naan Bread nearby. Also excellent super creative street food appertizers. If not Michelin Star, very close in my opinion. The currys themselves were decent with high quality meat and reasonable depth of flavour. The ambiance is good with tasteful decor throughout. Sadly what lets it down is that they haven't managed to work their service levels out. My first beer was emptied by the waitress into my lap. Various orders were misunderstood and when our mains arrived, half the dishes were cold and the Naan bread didn't arrive until we enquired. A shame because getting these small things right would make this place one of the very best. read more

We had an amazing non traditional thanksgiving meal at the All India Cafe in Arcadia . It was beyond delicious. The restaurant is spacious and airy as deliberately combines the old - to signify the connection to tradition ( the family restaurant in old town Pasadena) and more modern vibe. The owner is kind, warm, personable and charming and is clearly passionate about his vocation. The food was excellent, and beautifully plated. The sizzling tandoori fish was the best we ever tasted. Especially impressive were new tastes and flavours- the pani puri - Indian street food - shells into which a refreshing sauce is poured to create a mini taste explosion and also creative cocktails - saffron martini and madras margarita. Best Indian food experience - enjoy! We will be back anytime we are in the area! read more

So I think I got them on an off day. My chicken tikka was... not creamy. It was watery and chunky so I was a bit disappointed. I also got medium spice and didn't find it spicy at all. The naan was good--I've had better. I wouldn't come again, respectfully. Maybe it was an off day! Came because the reviews were so good. Left sad :( read more

If you're looking for really good Indian food, look no further and try All India Cafe in Arcadia! The food is delicious and very flavorful. The staff, who were professional and courteous, and service we received was excellent and we loved the ambiance, modern, upscale, trendy, very warm and inviting. Portion sizes were OK, maybe a little bit on the small side as everything is ala carte and geared towards family style sharing. Naan bread is not automatically included (extra charge) with food which was surprising. All in all, it was a good experience. For smaller portions and no naan bread, I took half a star off. Pleasantly Surprised! 10 stars!!!! My wife and I visited All Indian Cafe for the first time, and from the moment we walked in, the owner was friendly and inviting. I'm very particular about what I eat, but we decided to take a chance--and I'm so glad we did. I don't eat seafood, yet when my wife's dish arrived, it looked so good I had to try it. To my surprise, it wasn't fishy at all and was absolutely delicious! My spicy potato sliders and pasta were also full of flavor and perfectly made. Dating back to the 2nd Century BC; sushi was a favored Japanese cuisine far before any methods of…read morerefrigeration were yet invented. In order to keep fish fresh; rice was laden with rice vinegar and the fish marinaded in soy rice to keep the fish from spoiling (the rice was discarded and only the fish was consumed). As time went on, the art of sushi evolved to where the rice was eaten alongside the fish and during the Edo Period: this method of quickly fermenting with vinegar preventing spoiling; allowed for sushi to be served as street food without refrigeration even as the nigiri style so popular was born. If you are interested in this quick prep Edomae style of sushi; look no further than Arcadia's Sushi Kisen (which I assume is a play off the Japanese word, 'kaizen' meaning 'better, improved' so "better sushi") being one of the few Edomae sushi restaurants and Arcadia's first. Sushi Kisen offers 30-40 fish weekly shipped in straight from Tokyo twice a week! Located in a small corner shopping plaza on Baldwin Ave near the Arcadia intersection (about a mile from the LA Arboretum); the parking lot can be a bit congested as the plaza is filled with numerous restaurants, a bakery, a tea spot, etc. Crossing the threshold into Sushi Kisen reveals a medium-sized eatery with a sushi bar, wooden slat room dividers, and a dining area with tables and booths. Sushi Kisen eschews any bells and whistles in interior design for simplicity but the lines are still modern and clean to their benefit. My boyfriend and I were initially seated but quickly moved to allow our table to be used for a reservation that just phoned in; and thus, we were moved to a tiny back corner table where my I was two inches from the register and phone. This isn't awful, per se, but I was continuously becoming very friendly (metaphorically) with staff using the register and/or answering calls. It just didn't make me feel wholly welcome. For our sushi feast, my boyfriend and I ordered Mozuku seaweed ($8.00), Assorted Vegetable Tempura ($10), Deluxe Sushi Dinner (chef's choice nigiri and rolls, picked vegetables, miso soup, miso dressing salad - $45), Japanese King Mackerel Nigiri (2 pieces - $14), Unagi Eel (2 pieces - $13), Fatty Blue Fin w/ Takuan roll (12.50), and Glass Shrimp (2 pieces - $21.00). I am just going to get right into the nitty-gritty and say I simply did not like Sushi Kisen, at all. It might just be me (the restaurant was full so clearly people like it) and maybe I just don't gel with Edomae style. My favorites - the miso soup, salad, pickled vegetables and vegetable tempura - weren't even sushi! I love seaweed salad so I made the mistake of thinking this seaweed would be similar but it was a bowl of slop straight from the ocean and I found it putrid and inedible. But again, that may be my fault for not knowing. But what WASN'T my fault were my issues with the actual sushi: the glass shrimp was okay but a super weird texture and not worth $21 and would make more sense at half that price. The Japanese King Mackerel was the worst king mack I have ever had! It was grossly briny and "muddy" and tasted of poor quality even though I know it wasn't (but it shouldn't taste that way!). None of my boyfriend's Deluxe Sushi Dinner was that appetizing either and he didn't seem overly impressed. The Fatty Blue Fin roll was fine... but I truly sensed no flavor of any sort being simply bland. But at least it wasn't gross like much of the others that were not worth their price points. The eel was perfect - I am glad they didn't ruin that because I have quite the romance with eel. Again, I'll take some of the blame that maybe Sushi Kisen just isn't my preference but I think it runs deeper and they simply aren't as great as presented (which I can confirm from all of their recent reviews that share my same sentiment). Coupled with odd seating and a very disappointing sushi dinner; Sushi Kisen is simply not for me and a spot best decided for yourself whether worth a visit. 5/5 -- All India Café (Arcadia) Okay, I've been to the Pasadena and Glendale locations before, but this new Arcadia spot? Hands down the best one yet. It's spacious, super vibey, and gives major desi energy. The decor, the aroma, the ambiance -- it all hits different here. Appetizers: Started off strong with the pani puri shots -- lit, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. The tandoori chicken was juicy, perfectly charred, and packed with spice in the best way. My wife's vegetarian picks were next level -- she ordered the aloo tikki (so crispy, so good) and bhel puri, which instantly brought back those old-school India street food memories. Main Course: I went classic with the chicken tikka masala -- creamy, rich, and the chicken just melts in your mouth. My wife had dal and a paneer curry (can't remember the exact name but it was ). Everything was bursting with flavor. Also... the biryani. OMG. The rice was fragrant, fluffy, and perfectly spiced. I loved it so much, I ordered some to-go. No regrets. Dessert: I always go for their ginger ice cream, and let me tell you -- they absolutely nailed it. So refreshing with that warm, zingy kick. We also grabbed a Gajar ka halwa to take home -- soft, sweet, and just how it should be. Final thoughts: Arcadia's All India Café is giving main character energy. Brand new Indian spot just opened in Arcadia and it's already a hit! This is the third location of All Indian Café, and I can see why they're expanding -- the food is fire and the vibes are on point. To start, I ordered the Masala Dosa and the Pani Puri Shots. The dosa was crispy and packed with perfectly spiced potato filling -- classic and comforting. But the pani puri shots? Total flavor bomb -- spicy, tangy, refreshing, and fun to eat. Definitely a must-try if you like bold flavors. For lunch, I went with the Chicken Tikka Masala Lunch Special, and it did not disappoint. Creamy, rich, and full of that smoky tandoori flavor. The portion was generous and came with rice and naan, which made it a great value. The place is clean, modern, and already drawing a local crowd. Friendly staff, quick service, and authentic Indian flavors with a slight modern twist. Arcadia just got a new go-to Indian spot! I had a wonderful dining experience at All India Cafe! Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the medium spice level was perfect, not overpowering, just the right amount of heat. We ordered the lentil of the day, aloo gobi, lamb korma, and chicken tikka masala, and each dish was delicious and satisfying. The customer service was excellent. The staff was attentive, checking in multiple times to make sure we were enjoying everything. A standout moment was when the owner personally recommended the house-made pistachio ice cream. We love Indian food and this place was recommended by someone we met at LAX airport! My favorite hands down is chicken tika masala and sag paneer with basmati rice and garlic naan the fresh sliced red onions and salad with some pickled pepper omygosh the yellow lentil soup is just wow!! Perfect My hubby loves the goat curry probably the only way he eats it and the lentil soup of any kind if I could eat here every day I would!! Hands down THE BEST restaurant that serves authentic Indian food! Been eating at their locations since 96, and it has not changed a bit. This is their new location and I have to say they train their chefs real well! The food is very consistent and hits the spot every single time. Their staff members cater and host so beautifully. They consistently checked in and made sure our experience was PERFECT. The ambience and decor of this location is absolutely stunning. They have hint of modern and traditional all in one place. We were so excited to see All India Cafe open up in Arcadia. We use to always go to the pasadena location for years. This is closer to home now. The service is amazing. Simran is very caring and knows what he is selling. The food tastes just as good as pasadena. Real authentic Indian cuisine. I love the beautiful mural they have. The ambiance is amazing. Can't recommend enough how good it is. Please come support small family business. read more
