We hired this company to pack, move and unpack our house. They told us the crew would have plenty of packing materials incase we ended up needing more. The reality is the crew that showed up didn't have enough packing materials and said they didn't even know they were supposed to pack us and then unpack us. So we had to leave roughly a 12 ft box truck worth of items in our old house and pay someone else to move them. But here's the real issue, the crew demanded full payment before unloading and unpacking at our new address. We reluctantly paid, then of course they failed to unpack 70% of what they had packed. After calling the supervisor, he was a complete jerk and blamed everything on his employees. They then told us he's the problem. And they then literally dumped all of our stuff out of the boxes and on the counter and floors. Now here's another alarming fact, the lead guy who packed us initially said he would off the clock move the rest of our stuff from the previous address for $1,200.00. Then the lead driver who unpacked us told us the same thing. That sounds very sketchy. After talking to the supervisor again, he dismissed all of our concerns, and said if we took legal action he was sure his company could outspend us with attorneys. I'd give negative stars if I could honestly, I don't know how they have the reviews they got on google. We were estimated a normal amount and 5 hours but after they were done we were charged over 800 more then that and it took well over 10 hours, how could someone get that so wrong? The one guy wasn't the nicest (literally threw our stuff and was super upset the whole time) and they definitely took their time. Don't get this job if you're just going to complain the whole time. But I also understand because they were scheduled horribly. A good amount of things were broken as well. If you're moving a lot of stuff that you cherish PLEASE don't pick this company for your own sanity and definitely don't trust their estimates. Do NOT hire this company!! They are very unprofessional and will over charge you at the end!! They charged us $400 over the price we were given to move. If we would've known we would've went with another company. All the reviews about them breaking stuff are very true we had that issue and were told "it happens all the time". At the end one of the workers even asked for a tip when i was going to give him one regardless. I've never ever had someone ask for a tip before, very very unprofessional. Just did a move from an apartment to a storage unit. The customer service prior the move was on point. Two young guys ready to work were on time and explained how it was going to work, had me sign and we were off and packing. The guys were so nice, polite and hard working. They took care of my belongings wrapping, taping and packing with care. Once we got to the storage unit they were on a mission fit everything in, in a neat and orderly way. The mission was accomplished. The office did contact me right after the load up to find out how everything was going. My only criticism was when I was presented with the bill it was waayyyyy off. It was caught and corrected immediately by the employee and myself. I would use them again for sure. read more

I think I forgot to mention that they promised to repair a $1500 piece of furniture that they took, promised to return and basically stole. So far have never heard from them regarding that except for the pennies on the pound from the insurance. Not one promise to rectify issues at the time of the move was followed through. I have moved a dozen times. These guys are the worst experience I've had. The more I inspect the items that were moved by this team, the more damage I have found. A wooden sculpture is chipped and so is a marble lamp base. If your possessions are worth more than $0.40/lb i wouldn't trust these guys. If the move goes well then I'm sure you will be happy with the price but you have NO recourse at all. read more

I want my movers to be on-time for pick-up and on-time for delivery. Quality. I want my stuff to arrive in the same condition that it left. I want clean movers that I feel comfortable having near children. I want professionals. Price. I want a fair, reasonable price. I get all 3 and more with All My Sons. From Gainesville to Chicago (and all along the east coast) and local moves, whenever I've called this company I've dealt with friendly staff from beginning to end. We chose these guys for our move back in July and immediately regretted it. Their service is bad and they know it! The movers did over $800 in damages to our furniture as well as damaged outlets and walls while moving us out of our rental. When we made a claim for the damages, they cited a line in their contract which states they only owe $.61/lb of the damaged equipment. They sent us a check for $150 and now refuse to speak to us. First off, Angel was great and communicated with us every single step of the way. Two people were assigned to our move and their names were Chris and Mike. Both were extremely hard working. There is very little we can do to make up for the loss that my Mom went through at the hands of ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY... But if we could help others by warning them before anyone else chooses ALL MY SONS GAINESVILLE, that would be great! Help us warn others... Thanks! PLEASE WARN EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO IS MOVING AGAINST USING ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY! In June of 2015, I hired ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY in Gainesville Florida to pack up my mother's house, and to load it into a truck which we would be driving across country to Las Vegas. We were assured by Edward in the Gainesville Office that my mother's belongs would be packed with great care. I was assured that they are the professionals, and they know what they are doing! They will take care of us! When we got to Las Vegas and opened the truck, we found that although 95% of the truck was packed securely (did not move in the truck) the other 5 percent of things were broken on the floor of the truck. As the Las Vegas Team from ALL MY SONS unpacked the truck, they had me take all these photos -- 80 of them -- of the damage done to my mother's belongings. They also explained to us that most of it was not packed properly. Furniture was not wrapped as it should have been. Belongings were not wrapped before boxed. Heavy boxes were put on top of light boxes. In other words, the damage incurred was done because the belongings were packed so poorly, and then the truck was wrapped incorrectly. As the truck was being unpacked, I called Joe, the owner of the Gainesville franchise, and he immediately said that he would refund my Mom the entire amount of the move, plus the tips that we gave the packers. But later, Joe said he never said that. SO on top of being back packers, this particular office is run by a liar. After taking the hours needed to fill out the paper work given to me by ALL MY SONS, they made a settlement. Thousands of dollars of damage, and they offered my Mom $520! I expressed how wrong I thought this offer was, and they asked me to make a counter offer -- what I thought would be fair. Although it is much less than the damage done, I threw out the number $5,000. On September 1, 2015 I made that counter offer -- and despite many e-mails sent to many people in the national office, I was ignored, until December 19, when I received an e-mail saying that they would not offer my Mom any more than $520. There was also a caveat to the agreement -- "I also agree that upon accepting settlement on my claim I will not thereafter publish or otherwise make to any entity verbally or in writing, any negative or derogatory remarks about AMS or its employees." My Mother chose to let them keep their $520, so that we could warn others -- so that this won't happen to them. We trusted my Mom's belongings to what we thought was a reputable company. We were wrong. Please don't make the same mistake. Help warn people against using ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY. Besides the horrible care we got from the GAINESVILLE FLORIDA ALL MY SONS, the national customer service is lacking greatly. This company's management is absolutely terrible. Scott, the manager, is very rude and inconsiderate and should not be in any position that involves interacting with customers. FIRST ISSUE: When Scott called to confirm the job, we asked him if he would supply wardrobe boxes for us to use and he said that he would. So we didn't pack our hanging clothes in advance because we were assured that the company would bring wardrobe boxes. When the movers showed up, they had no wardrobe boxes and said that they weren't informed that they were supposed to have brought any. So my husband had to go out and purchase over $100 worth of wardrobe boxes, which could have been done earlier if we had known the company was not going to supply them as promised. SECOND ISSUE: the movers showed up 30 minutes late. They called in the morning to say that they were on their way and would arrive in 15 minutes. My husband called the driver after 25 minutes when the movers still had not arrived, and they were lost. So my husband told them where to go and they made it to the house, but they arrived 30 minutes after they said they would arrive. The issues listed above are relatively minor and if those had been the only problems, I probably would have given a 4 star rating. However, the third and biggest issue was a huge inconvenience and was handled terribly by Scott, which is the main reason I am leaving this review. THIRD ISSUE: we were moving from Gainesville to Jacksonville, and the drive takes about 1.5 hours. After the truck had still not arrived at our house in Jacksonville 2.5 hours after it had left our house in Gainesville, my husband called the driver to ask where they were. The driver was apologetic and said, "I'm sorry, I thought the office would have called you. I felt sick and had to turn around after driving about halfway to go back to the office because I was too sick to work." We then called Scott at the office to find out what was going on with our stuff. Scott claimed that he was just about to call us (more than 1.5 hours after he learned of the problem) to tell us that the truck had left the office and that he had sent a third mover for free to compensate us for the delay. We said we appreciated the gesture, but that the delay was hard on us because we had arranged to load another moving truck for my brother after our movers left, and some of the things he was taking were on our moving truck. So the delay was very inconvenient for us, and a third mover was not going to make up very much time and was not going to help very much with what ended up being a 2.5 hour delay that we were not even informed of until we called to ask what was going on. We said that we thought we should get some sort of discount in the price because of the delay and the lack of communication from the management about what had happened. Not only did Scott refuse to give us a discount, he tried to make us feel bad that we complained about a worker getting sick, which he said was something that was out of his control. We said of course we were sorry that the guy had gotten sick, but that regardless the delay was going to cause a lot of inconvenience for us and that we had not even been informed about the problem or consulted as to how best to make up for it. Scott rambled on about how it cost him hundreds of dollars to send the extra guy for free, and didn't seem to care that what he had done (without consulting us) was not a sufficient remedy for the problem (not to mention any savings we might have gotten were reduced because we then had to tip a third mover). We later found out from our second mover that the driver had actually been forced to come into work even though he had been sick all week. So not only did Scott try to guilt us, he was the one responsible for sending an employee he knew was sick. After arguing on the phone for several minutes, we asked to speak to Scott's superior. He claimed that he would have his boss call us. We still had not heard from Scott's boss when the movers arrived, so we called Scott again because we were not comfortable with paying the full price based on the delay and how we had been treated. He then informed us that his boss was out of town and we could not speak to him that day. So we were forced to pay the full price before the movers would unload anything from our truck, although we insisted upon getting a written confirmation that we were disputing the price that we had to pay. While we understand that sometimes unexpected things happen during a move, the complete lack of communication from the beginning about the delay was very bad. And the problem was made worse because instead of the management being apologetic, we were treated like it was ridiculous for us to complain. That is not the way to treat customers and I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company for a move. read more

We are a senior couple & have had several moves over the years but this was the worst. We called My 3 sons first, but they never got back to us. Our move was July 2018. Fl to NC. Angel in the office was very nice & so were the movers. We don't remember their names. In Fl they wrapped everything carefully & we thought : these guys are going to take good care of our furniture. Half of it was new, But that assumption was wrong. They arrived to our NC house on time but from that point on, it was a nightmare. They unwrapped everything as it Was removed from the truck. 2 men carried it, but once they got inside, one man was dragging the furniture, bumping into walls, damaging them, 1 man cut himself badly on a metal bed rail & bled all over the hallway & bathroom. They begged several times for a tip saying they don't get paid much. Shame on them. We paid a lot for this move. It took us all this time to unpack. They broke our Tiffany lamp shade, damaged much of the furniture, when it was pointed out to them, they said "your cats scratched that" untrue. Deep gouges. Don't use this company. All my sons. My husband called Angel, filed a claim. No response. They can say whatever they want, they scammed us & we were foolish enough to be shamed into a tip. read more

The main thing we noticed about the two workers on the day of our move was that they never wasted time by being on their cell phones while working for us. My In-Laws used All My Sons to move their furniture 1 mile from their previous house to their current house in Ocala. The 3 movers showed up and took about 3 hours to pack the truck (furniture only). They wrapped everything in blankets and taped it like they were moving across country instead of across the neighborhood. What should have been a 3 hour total job took them over 5 hours because they were so slow and were running up the clock! Additionally, they were told to move the stuff from the garage that was mostly in boxes but they didn't move that on the second load and we had to hire others to come and finish the job. While their belongings were still on the truck, the guy came in to "settle up" with my in-laws, and the fee was well over $1,000!!! My Mom was not told about the "drive time" nor was she told that she would incur a 12% fuel surcharge. read more

The two guys who did the move -Cory and Colton, were 2 of the hardest working guys I've ever seen. While the moving process itself was a very good experience, I am very disappointed with their customer service. The two men who actually moved me from Gainesville to St. Augustine were very friendly, professional, and efficient. They worked quickly and were very organized. When we arrived at my new place, I found that a couple of small things (a floor lamp and a small end table) had been broken or damaged in the moving process, but overall, I felt that the two movers did a great job. However, after they completed the move, I told them that I needed their manager (with whom I'd spoken on the phone to book the move) to email me an invoice noting the cost of the move as well as the cash tip that I gave the movers so that I could be reimbursed by my new employer who was covering the moving costs. The two movers said they would let the manager know, and he would email this to me that night. They moved me in on a Sunday and I did not receive the receipt until Thursday afternoon. I called each day and asked to speak with Ryan, the manager who had handled my booking, and each time I kept getting passed around to someone different and was told that the issue would be taken care of that afternoon. Finally, on day 4, after telling them that if I didn't receive the receipt by 5 p.m. I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, I received a phone call from Ryan. During each of these phone calls, the people at All My Sons were very impatient with me and seemed annoyed that I was asking for a receipt. Bottom line: the movers worked very hard, but the management is terrible. Don't use All My Sons if you expect to be treated politely after the move is over. read more

Did a big move with 2 full trucks that lasted like 12 hours. The guys in the truck are hard workers and do a great job but be careful with management. They have an excuse for everything cause they have been in business for 40 years. I don't know what they learned all those years cause they are rude, impatient and obnoxious. Everything was going smoothly until an old fart from management showed up way before being finished to try to rudely collect his money on some arbitrary estimated finish time. I used All My Sons Moving recently. Best Mover I have ever used. It was a local move. They arrived exactly on time. The two movers were polite, respectful and didn't waste anytime getting started. They wrapped up every single piece of furniture and were careful not to damage anything. Drop off was as easy as pick up. They moved around some existing furniture without complaint. Joe, the salesman called me the day before to confirm and amazingly called me in the middle of the move to confirm that it was going well. Never had that happen before. Warning! If you choose All My Sons as your mover, you would be wise to take out an insurance policy on your goods. My furniture was poorly packed ,and crammed in to the truck. The result was that several items were damaged or completely destroyed. My claim, after requiring two notary public signatures ,at a cost to me, came to 6 cents on the dollar. The settlement ,on a $250 item would have left me with a $22 compensation after considering the cost of the two notary public signature payments. I have declined to settle my claim, and instead have decided to warn others not to expect that All My Sons will do the right thing and pay a reasonable compensation for goods that were damaged due to their own negligence. What a way to run a business. Obviously this company does not worry about word of mouth advertising. All My Sons Moving will not be getting a good recommendation from me. read more

This is a bit hard to write as the movers actually did okay. Like the other review, management left much to be desired, from clear up-front estimates to customer service on the back end. We had a small move, 3 or 4 items going about 2 miles away. I get a quote of $169/hr with a 2hr minimum. The guy says one hour is allowed for travel. I say okay, well, the move will take an hour at most and with the one hour travel we have the 2hr minimum. He agrees. They move us a day later than originally scheduled but we can adjust. But then they charge us for 3hrs, saying the 1hr travel is on top of the 2hr minimum. I explain to the mgmt that it was not clear up front, that we had discussed the details of the move, and I only expected to be charged for 2hrs. I offer to split the difference on the third hour. I send three emails to this effect and wait a week before they reply, then they decline. On top of this they charged us an additional $40 for something, and when I questioned the bill they credited the $40. Obviously if I had never raised the issue they would have left that charge. So now I am left to challenge the $169 overcharge to my card and we take it from there. I was willing to split the difference until they exhibited such poor customer service. So the movers themselves did okay - but we had a very small move of a few heavy items only going a couple of miles. Their office staff, well, not so much. I may afford the benefit of the doubt and chaulk up the confusion to an unintentional miscommunication....though I did explain things in detail. But had I known what they were really going to charge we would have either gone with someone else (the other quotes would have looked MUCH better) or had All My Sons move more of our stuff to get some benefit out of the "extra" hour. I don't move enough to know if these are common practices in the industry. But it's probably worth shopping around. You can probably guess the answer to the question of if I would hire them again. read more

Two excellent movers. very efficient, experienced and organized and professional. I did not know how good they were until I tried two college brothers a month ago to save money and had the opposite experience with two movers with no experience who were not efficient or effective and the manager blew me off when I called twice, once during and once after to complain and request a discount and to speak the owner. It was actually more money with two college brothers (really two college boys). Sorry this is late but you were excellent. I am so sorry I did not call you. I will if ever needed again. read more
