This move did take much longer than expected, but the moving team themselves were great. I felt like they really cared about our items. Unfortunately, they ran out of hours per DOT and had to finish our move the following day after packing up all of our items. We were forced to sleep on our air mattress in an empty new apartment which was less than ideal. This company is extremely dishonest, with the worst pricing practices I've ever experienced. They bait you with a low quote to secure the job, then dramatically increase the cost once they have your belongings. The extra charges for tape and packing are outrageous, and the fuel surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the total bill rather than actual mileage, which makes no sense. They even left a package behind and, when I raised the issue, blamed "the good Lord" instead of taking responsibility. The entire experience was unprofessional from top to bottom. I moved with All my Sons in 2023 and they did a great job. I moved again with them in 2024 and the two guys they sent clearly did not have experience. They were not prepared. They scratched up the legs on the couch. I just pulled my stuff out of storage two/three months later and found gauges in my coffee table. I'm beyond frustrated. Completely Dishonest company. The 2 movers were clearly instructed to take their time. They moved as slowly as they could. They wrapped items that did not need to be wrapped and placed items that were already in boxes into their own boxes. One of the men was mostly keeping track of the packing material. They wrapped every single item even when not needed. One of the young men wore a hard hat, a mask and a backpack which slowed him down. They ruined my moving day and are a total scam company. They charged me over $1,700 to move a small apartment which had been mostly packed. I had already made several trips with a friends truck. Failed to show up on the day of scheduled move. A horrible company with abhorrent service. The company confirmed a 1-3pm arrival for our scheduled move on July 15th. When we called at 3:45pm (after hearing nothing back from them), they said they were "finishing up" another move in Medford. Two hours later (5:45pm), they called to tell us "likely could not make it today" (while our whole house was packed up), saying they were completing a different move in Tewksbury. When we told them we had a 1-3pm window, they untruthfully claimed the window had been 11am -5pm (which would have been impossible, as we had an 11 am appointment). When we asked for possible rescheduling, they refused any sort of discount or refund on the deposit, unless we fully cancelled the move. We would have payed full price for a delayed move which was highly inconvenient to us. We instead decided to cancel after Sean spoke rudely to both my mother and me on the phone. All my sons sucks. I was given a quote for 2 men, labor and travel that come in just over $600.00. I got 3 guys and a huge truck. Our inventory didn't fill a third of the truck. One of the guys was on the job just 2 weeks and the other started that day without experience. By the time the move was over my bill had jumped over $1700.00! After much complaining they did remove $344.00 and I have no idea where that amount came from. A table top computer no longer works because it was not packed properly and everything was very disorganized. I still overpaid for their helps training....so badly done. I've asked several times for an invoice or bill and received no reply. (3 weeks later and still nothing). They ask you to sign all kinds of paperwork before moving your stuff and you sign on their tablet. No copies of paperwork are ever sent to you via email or text. When I booked the move I put down $100. Deposit. When my stuff arrived to finish the move, I was shown a bill for 3x what I was quoted. My move was from the 2nd fl. to the 1st fl. of the same house. The 1st fl. resident was moving up to the 2nd floor but was handling his move on his own. This was, without question, the worst moving experience I have ever had. On the scheduled day of my move, I was informed at 5:00 PM -- hours after the time frame that was initially promised (10a-4p) -- that the team did not even have a truck available for my belongings. This complete lack of communication and organization was unacceptable. When a truck finally arrived, it was not solely dedicated to my move but instead was half-filled with another customer's belongings. This not only delayed the process further but also demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism and preparation. Not to mention, I was told they might have to make 2 trips of my belongings. The workers moved at an unreasonably slow pace, giving the impression that billable hours were being deliberately inflated. I had a great, if not the best moving experience which included Brian, Thomas and Antonio on 2/16. They were friendly, courteous, professional, and hard-working. They let me know everything going on along the way, .... very respectful. All of my furniture and belongings were carefully wrapped, handled, nothing broken, everything was perfect. Lesson learned. I should have checked reviews before I chose this company. I had a strict 2 hour limit. I was moving from one storage unit to another. The only furniture that was being moved was a rolling kitchen island. They arrived at my location at 4:25 p.m. The first 10 minutes was used filling out paperwork on a tablet. They moved some stuff and then told me that they were told they had to stop at 5pm to get my items to my new location, which was 10 minutes from the old one. It took them about 20 minutes to unload at the new location. I had to pay for an hour of travel time, 14% fuel surcharge and then for the two hour minimum move. Essentially, I paid $620 for a total move time of less than an hour. When I returned over the weekend to get what they left behind in the old unit, with four people, a trailer, a pickup truck and an SUV, we could not get everything in one trip. I had to go back the next day and fill my SUV, my daughter's car and my son-in-law's SUV before I got everything out. This was completely unacceptable. Great company with friendly & efficient employees!! I hired them to move my sister and everything was handled with the utmost care & respect. The two gentlemen were friendly and hard-working. One of them's name was Jordan but unfortunately, I can't remember the other young man, but it could've been Mike?! The furniture was all wrapped carefully and they were done earlier than expected. I received phone calls from Jordan every step of the way from my sister's apartment on the South Shore of MA to the North Shore letting me know the ETA, when they were arriving , etc. I was very pleased overall! They even refunded me some money because they finished a little earlier than the amount of time originally quoted! I had a couple of questions that I wanted to ask and the manager I spoke to was super nice and easy to talk to! Horrible experience. Communication was non-existent - I had to call their office 4 times to get information about my move. They lied about ensuring that I would be first move of the day. Movers complained the entire day and mocked my living situation even though I provided all the necessary information to the office ahead of time. They unnecessarily used plastic wrap on one object just to charge me 51 dollars for it. The crew was incredibly tired as I was 3rd move of the day (was supposed to be first... expected them at 9, they showed at 3:45). One of the members severely rolled his ankle and was unable to walk. If I could give zero stars, I would. I've moved 14 times and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a moving company. I paid nearly $10,000, including $800 for insurance, and they managed to completely destroy my $5,000 red light therapy system -- the one thing I asked them to be careful with. Their response? $100. That's what they think is fair compensation for thousands of dollars in damage. That's not all:     *    Several boxes were missing     *    TV cords, remotes, and mounting hardware vanished     *    Only 2 or 3 of the 5 movers actually worked     *    When I raised concerns, the manager blamed his own crew and asked, I only reported certain team members, disgraceful. But the worst part? The manager, Chris (Boston location), called me repeatedly, screaming and threatening me because my closing was delayed (which was completely out of my control). He told me to find a storage unit and that he was pulling his team -- all this after I had paid in full. My attorneys were present and horrified by the abuse I received over speakerphone. They've refused to take responsibility, and the insurance I paid for is apparently meaningless. I've filed a claim for over $6,000 in damages and losses, and they offered me $100. Total joke. I will be involving the Better Business Bureau and pursuing legal action if necessary. This company needs to be held accountable. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Didn't put anything where they were supposed to, cleaning up their mess found additional damaged items, but they refused to reopen my claim. This is absolutely the worst moving company I have ever experienced. I have moved 16 times, never experienced anything like this!horrifying what these people put me through. For one, the manager of the Boston location, Chris, called me repeatedly during my closing yelling at the top of his voice because he was paying his men by the hour, and my closing was held up For reasons out of my control.I had him on speaker and the attorneys heard him the way he was yelling at me. He told me I had to find a storage unit and he was going to "pull his guys"., All the while I'm trying to close. Attorneys were absolutely horrified that a " manager " who I was paying $10,000 to would talk to me this way and scream at me and call every two minutes harassing me while I'm trying to get through a closing..I've never in my life been treated so horribly from a company. these people charged double what I've paid in the past, only to have the one item I cared for completely smashed. And things lost. And to be abused and treated the way I was treated. There were many boxes that were never delivered. I am missing pots and pans, all of my spices, expensive home decor. And worst of all, the one thing I asked them to be extremely careful with a $5000 red light system that I just purchased only months ago. I even paid an extra $800 for insurance and when the red light system arrived, It was completely smashed and disfigured. This is review is a general review for All my sons moving company not a specific location. I checked, double checked and triple checked that All my sons had movers available in my location and had availability on the date I required. I was told A) There was no call out fee B) There was no minimum hourly requirement C) 2 mover would be available for my move on the date in question at $179 per hour Less then 24 hours prior to my move I was contacted by a company in NJ. They informed me that there would be a 4 hour transportation fee and a minimum of a 2 hour on site moving fee. This put the job at at least $1079. This company, like many large moving companies and more legistic companies who farm out your job the day prior and leave you in a world of pain if you don't agree to the terms and rates Untrustworth. DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT hire this moving company. If I could give 0 stars I would. I hired them for a move from 1 home to another that were 15 minutes away from one another. The day started out with them being over 1 hour late, they then sent 4 movers instead of 3 which I was quoted for. They then tried to charge me more $$ even though I was quoted and confirmed a certain amount for 3 men, had to call their office and wait on hold for over 30 minutes to speak about the inaccurate cost. Once the movers and I spoke, they told me they couldn't move my treadmill, I had let them know 5 different times when confirming my move that I had a treadmill and was never told they could not move it. Then the move begins-- took them over 4 hours to fill the truck, and didn't even get everything, so were going to have to go back. It then took the mover over 1 hour to get to my new home, again 15 MINUTES down the road, even with traffic should take no longer than 30-- they did walk in with 5 guys for themselves and still charged me for the entire hour. After the completely abysmal move was completed I went around to look for damage and let me tell you, my couch had a hole in it, the plugs on it were bent, my daughters dresser and armoire had broken wood on them, our bar was in shambles (unusable), my desk was in shamble (literal pieces) and there were scratches on my wood floors. I went back to my old home to clean the following day and it looked as if they literally dragged furniture across the floor, they also STILL did not get everything, after 2 moves and 10 hours my husband and I had to return multiple times. I then had to file claims with their claims department due to the damage and after I paid for $5,000 worth of coverage they offered me basically nothing for all the above damage. This company should truly be out of business, they make an already stressful day significantly worse-- I have moved 5x and this was the worst experience by a landslide. Don't use this moving company. I scheduled over a month in advance. I had to call four times the day before my move to talk to someone to confirm I was all set. They told me my move window was between 10 am - 4 pm. Day of, still hadn't heard from them so I called at 3 pm. They told me they couldn't make it today and cancelled on me. They then said the earliest they could come was 4 days from my original move in day. They didn't offer to compensate for their complete screw up. The amount of time and money I wasted, as well as the anxiety of having to move out in time for my landlord, was terrible. I've never had a moving company do this to me. I hired this moving company hoping to make my move less stressful, more efficient, and easier on myself and my loved ones. What I got was the exact opposite. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save your money and go with someone else. When I booked, I clearly outlined the scope of the move: a two-bedroom apartment with two beds (queen and twin) and their frames, a couch, end tables, coffee table, kitchen table with chairs, bookcases, two dressers, two desks, two TVs, a washer, and a fridge located at my mom's house next door to my new place--plus over 100 boxes, bags, and miscellaneous items. I emphasized upfront that it was a large move. I was quoted $169/hour, estimated at no more than four hours, with fuel costs included and a scheduled start time of 8:00 AM on Saturday. At 7:59 AM--literally one minute before the scheduled arrival--I got a call saying "two movers had called in sick" and my time was being pushed to an 11 AM-4 PM window. I called twice during that window and was reassured I was next and they'd arrive before 4 PM. They showed up at 5:15 PM--over nine hours late from the original time and more than an hour past the revised window. The movers were visibly overwhelmed. The office had apparently told them they'd be handling "about 10 boxes and some furniture." One of the movers called the office to request backup, but was told no additional crew could come. Worse, I was informed that anything not unloaded by their 9 PM cutoff would be taken back to their storage facility--and I'd be charged over $400 for it. I refused and told them to prioritize the larger items. I was then scheduled for a follow-up the next afternoon to finish the job. (Spoiler: that didn't happen.) After about 35 minutes of confusion, the movers got to work. One of them vented that the office regularly misleads them and apologized repeatedly. They worked until 9:15 PM--four hours total. Before leaving, I was told I'd be required to book a minimum of three hours the next day or face additional fees. Frustrated and fed up, I canceled the follow-up on the spot, informed the driver--who then relayed my cancellation to the office--and sent two emails to confirm that I would no longer be needing their services. The next morning, I woke up to a $100 charge on my credit card. When I called, I was told it was a deposit for that day--even though I had explicitly canceled. To make matters worse, they claimed I wasn't even on the schedule anymore. I was also told that the majority of my items in the attic had been moved out, however that was not the case. Most of the attic items were still left behind. Had I not checked myself and taken their word for it, I would have unknowingly left my belongings behind. I hired a different company the next morning and within 2 hours they were at my door finishing the job. This terrible company couldn't the level of service and professionalism with the second company was excellent in comparison. To say I'm angry and disappointed is an understatement. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and bait-and-switch tactics were appalling. I will never use this company again and will actively warn others to stay away. Too long to of a complaint, but my parents hired then to move things from their house to mine. One gentleman was extremely rude because he didn't like something I said( he's getting paid) he used aggressive tones and language. I got over it until my parents had their second move. I finally got to speak to someone to complain and he said" the reason I don't answer the calls is because of so the complaints" which should tell you something. I explained how my neighbors even asked why the guy was yelling at me like a domestic fight and the guy on the phone said" sounds like you fight with your bf a lot " I've never once even raised my voice for fought with anyone ever in my neighborhood. I would give them a zero star if I could. Save yourself a massive and expensive headache and use another moving service. 1. Very deceptive billing. They will keep your belongings on the truck if you do not pay at your second location to unload. So, if you have a problem with the amount, too bad. They will keep everything until you do. They were quoting around $500 but ended up charging me $1700. Not ok. 2. Sloppy movers. They damaged my beautiful couch adding tears on the side and back. They damaged my newly purchased simply human trash bin. It now has dents and massive scratches that pulled up the paint. They are incredibly slow. They took almost 12 hours to move me from my small apartment with one small bedroom. Thats ridiculous. When I moved myself a year earlier into this apartment, with the help of two of my girl friends, we did it in 5 hours. 3. Rudest customer service I have come across in a long time. Deceptive and purposely don't give out their names. When asked to speak to a mgr or higher up, they mess with you and transfer you to their buddy who is possibly sitting next to them or they keep you on hold and the same person you have an issue with picks up. 4. Sent me two movers when they had said three people would be there. At hour 9, they sent a third person becuase I was complaining. Then they made feel bad about it when they were suppose to anyways. They have the worst customer service! They had taken both doors off the refrigerator to move it down a flight of stairs, for which was not necessary! When it was delivered to my new address it was wrapped in plastic and a part of the freezer door connection was left on top of the fridge. Once it was unwrapped the freezer door fell off! The movers never told me that they lost a bolt to the freezer door. Because the part is no longer available I know have to purchase a new refrigerator. I tried speaking with someone at their local office a couple of times, they wouldn't discuss the issue, all they kept saying was that I needed to speak to their claims department. The absolute WORST moving experience ever! DO NOT BOOK. We booked to move from our 2 bedroom apartment in Cambridge to our house in South East Massachusetts and we were told on the day of our move at 2pm that they would NOT be able to move us that day because the move that was booked early in the day was running over. We were initially told that they would call us between 10am-4pm when the movers were on their way, and we hadn't heard from them by 1:30, so I called them to check-in and was told "we would receive a call soon because the movers were wrapping up". Half an hour later, I received a call saying our move was cancelled. When we asked when they could move us (hoping that they could move us the next day on August 31st, they said September 4th because of the busy moving weekend. Our lease was ending on August 31st, so that was not possible for us. We asked that our move be prioritized because they were cancelling on us last minute during the busiest moving weekend of the year and they said "we can't work miracles" and that was the best that they could do other than offer us storage services which would cost us even more. We understand that movers can't work over a certain amount of hours, but we asked but other alternatives, and then they tried to blame us and justify why they cancelled because we "only booked two weeks in advance" which suggests that they prioritize your move based on when you book and don't actually care about their customers. Terrible customer service on top of a very stressful experience. We luckily found other movers who were fantastic, quick, and took great care with our belongings AND the move cost us less half of what All My Sons was going to charge us. I had to reschedule b:c of heavy traffic all the way to MA., not my fault, initially said time for move starts when workers on the way. ma'am.. I ended up spending an unplanned night on the road, so not able to get to unload site at agreed time/day (driving from VA to MA in 15 foot rental truck). Wish I had just cancelled. So the next day when i get there I get worker's who are very slow, one clearly has little experience moving things, tho nice kid, no lets get this job done at all... (The fellows who loaded the truck wrapped furniture, packed some items and loaded truck in 2.5 hours). These workers were very slow, maybe purposely do. dont know; one had a really bad attitude, like he wasnt there to work that day.. I ended up stacking alot of boxes my self in the storage, so everything would fit. We moved in November using this company and I would rate 0 stars if I could - do not use this company. The movers themselves were fine - no items broken or lost. However the interactions I had with the management office were terrible. Intake for asking about the size of our move was insufficient and the movers showed up very unprepared for the type and amount of things we were moving (which is not their fault). The office also provided us a window of 11am-4pm and the movers showed up at 5pm, started moving items, and then the office called us and said they couldn't complete the move that night due to time constraints for the driver (again, not the driver's fault, that is on management scheduling). What was quoted as a 3-5h move ended up taking 10h across 2 days, and was more than twice the price I was originally quoted. When I called the office to file a complaint, they had incorrect information in the system about our move (which tells me they didn't do the intake properly) and clearly did not have a good understanding of how to manage moving. For example, I was told by that manager that it took so long the second day of moving because we had an elevator in the new place which slowed things down (while I previously was told by a different manager on day 1 that the elevator would definitely speed things up). The manager I talked to for a complaint did apologize for the move taking longer than quoted, and said he would call me back the next day after looking into my situation. This company just provided some of the worst professional service I have seen in a while. Months ago, I called and made a reservation for moving and overnight storage. I did not hear back from them at any point after locking in our reservation. I called today (a few days before our move) to confirm details and was told that they only booked me for moving out but no overnight storage and no move in. Since our move is just a few days away, I was told that there is nothing they can do to accommodate or help us. They made a mistake and refuse to own their own error. Now I have no moving or storage accommodations and it is all thanks to All My Sons. Also the manager I spoke with on the phone was rude and not helpful. read more
