    Its Two Star 2uesday again! We flew ANA fr LAX TO MNL via HND, and SGN to LAX via NRT. There were positives and negatives. Positives: Friendly & helpful employees; Facial recognition at LAX; Modern plane; Lounge access at LAX altho lounge was 3 Stars; Flight fr LAX to HND arrived early; Negatives: The food on the LAX to HND, and HND to MNL legs sukd ass! Lousy beef roll & fritos for dinner, shitty chicken for bfast, and flavorless chicken for bfast fr HND to MNL. I didn't eat any of the mains; Wifi was spotty; Charging port was slow AF; Seat didn't recline well to sleep; No room under the seat in front of you due to obstruction; No amenity kit; I didn't notice much benefit in Premium Economy vs Economy. We boarded in Group 5, the second to last group. People nine rows back in Economy, were in the same group; I was expecting a lot more from an Azn airline, and Japan's biggest airline. I'm glad I had access to lounge food (and bought a J egg sando at HND), otherwise I would have had to purchase overpriced food at the airports. Unfortunately, I have noticed that all airlines seem to be cutting back in Premium Economy. I might have to start bringing my own food, or start flying Business Class on my annual international flights. I like to get a decent meal and an amenity kit when I travel internationally.

    I have flown ANA 5 times. The staff are happy when I compliment the service, food and merchandise, they are very understanding of the delays.

    A very efficient and clean airline with the exception of the difficult booking system. =BOOKING= I took ANA with a party of 9 to Japan for three separate flights in economy. The first two flights went smoothly while the final flight was riddled with issues. Notably our final flight consisted of us all being placed in various rows. Fortunately we were able to get an adult next to youngest child by chance. We tried to purchase seats together upon booking but were refused the option. For the previous flights, we paid $25 per assigned seat but were denied this for the last leg. =FLIGHT= Entry onto the plane was fast, having multiple lanes for people to present their passport, boarding pass and face. Despite having 5 boarding groups and a packed plane, boarding took only 30 minutes. Each seat came with a headset, blanket and pillow. The movie and media selection was limited during the flight to Japan and there wasn't any USB charging port. However, during my flight back to the US, there was a single charging port and a longer list of movies. Domestic flights on the Starflyer included complementary wifi for all guests. When asking for water, we were all given entire water bottles as opposed to a cup. Instead of a screen there were several charging ports instead. Great experience for my short flight. =FOOD= Service was stellar onboard. We were given drinks every few hours, including red and white wine. After every meal, there was hot green and black tea. A bag of rice cracker mix was given at the beginning of the flight and Japanese candy at the end. Lunches and dinners consisted of either entree A or B with set sides. Vanilla Haagen Dazs was given afterwards. Breakfast had a similar format without the ice cream finish. I found the meals to be well seasoned albeit too salty at times. Vegetables could have been fresher but each set seemed well balanced. The service on air was polite and everyone was ensured a meal or snack regardless they were sleeping or not. Ultimately I wouldn't mind flying ANA again but I would ensure that the seats would be placed together. Otherwise, I would rather take another airline so my large party wouldn't have to be split for an 11 hour flight.

    First review of 2023, and giving the honor to my other favorite airline... 5 stars!!!!! My plane fare from Los Angeles to Manila post-COVID on Philippine Airlines in April, 2022 was about twice the amount I was used to paying pre-COVID, so I decided to look at other carriers for my other trip in July, 2022. Decided to go with ANA after finding a better deal through the ANA website. For about the same price as Philippine Airlines on Economy, ANA gave me Premium Economy for the LAX-HND and HND-LAX and Economy for HND-MNL and MNL-HND segments. Yes, Philippine Airlines is a direct flight, but excited to try out Premium Economy for the first time even with the stopover in Tokyo Haneda. Could not believe my luck when I was informed at the ANA Check In Counter at LAX that my seat was upgraded from Premium Economy to Business Class for the LAX-HND and HND-LAX segments of my trip! Thank you All Nippon Airways! Got to experience "The Room" Business Class on ANA's 777-300ER on the way to Tokyo Haneda as well as regular Business Class on ANA's Dreamliner R2D2 Jet back to Los Angeles. Yes, the extra room on Business Class with the lie-flat seat/bed was amazing, and the food was beyond amazing and super delicious! Loved that I can order anything that I wanted on the menu at any time, and yes, I definitely took advantage. My segments from Tokyo to Manila and vice versa were still on Economy, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that ANA has so much legroom! Philippine Airlines' legroom is good, but ANA's is really really really good! The food was also pretty good and delicious. ANA's economy is so good that I will consider ANA for my future trips to the Philippines in addition to Philippine Airlines. The ANA staff, from the check in process to the plane, was very welcoming and friendly on all segments of my trip, whether I was seated on Business or Economy. Other pluses to go with ANA include the following: 1. Same amount of luggage allowance as Philippine Airlines (2 free Check Ins at 50 pounds each with Carry On) 2. ANA uses Terminal 3 in Manila, the best terminal for traveling to and from Manila 3. If your stopover time is enough, Tokyo Haneda makes it possible to spend a few hours in Tokyo. 4. Plane bathrooms have a bidet! Definitely feels like you're in Japan! Recently booked a trip to the Philippines this upcoming summer, but I found Philippine Airline fares still too expensive. So excited to find a much cheaper fare with ANA on economy. Of course, I wouldn't mind nor decline another upgrade!!!!!

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Then, I got a notification that a stop had been added between the connection points, causing our flight to go from under 2 hours to 8-10 hours EACH WAY. In return, I only got offered $70 per ticket in flight credits. I called American Airlines to speak to a representative, and Flora was extremely unhelpful in suggesting flights which were about the same in air time at the same expensive price as a continuous 2 hour flight. I offered to let it go if they would just provide us with a meal since the flight had become horrendously long, but she kept insisting that she would absolutely not compensate us anything. To make matters even worse, she told me my only options were to just accept it or get a refund, and that I only have 24 hours from the time of my phone call before the refund offer would be rescinded. Absolutely unbelievable service. This will be my first and last time flying with them, and if I can find a similar or better flight within the next 24 hours, I will definitely be getting that refund.

We took a quick weekend trip to San Francisco. the flight went to Oakland and SF was a quick 20 minute uber ride. This flight was actually more cost effective than first class on a highly rated airline. Love that! Plenty of leg room on the flight. Just an FYI the seats afe in a 2/1 configuration and are a bit smaller than standard 1st class on a commercial airline but not dealing with long security lines and crowded lounges was definitely worth it! The App is very smooth for booking just like other airlines with the exception that you can't go back a step when booking. If you want to change something you have to start all over. The staff was very nice upon arrival we dropped our bags and showed our IDs and sat on the lounge with drinks while we waited. Both the indoor and outdoor lounges are very comfy with plenty of seating!(couches cubby chairs high tables etc. ) Be sure to arrive no less than 20-30 minutes before your flight departure.

My plane left Los Angeles International (LAX) exactly as scheduled, flight preparations were organized and folks got in line according to their assigned zones. Many of our senior citizens in wheelchairs were allowed first and there were a lot of staff who facilitated the departure protocols. The flight was very smooth with some bumpy ride along the mid-flight but seems comparably similar with any other flights I've taken everywhere. The stewards and stewardesses seemed not so sweet and focused, not the usual, can we offer you something"? I'd say, it's probably cultural although this are just observations on my part, since this time, I bought an economy class ticket during the last minute. Eva Air has the best food compared to other airlines that fly the SEA route, chicken pasta, Chinese-style cooking and a comprehensive fruits and sandwich galore accompanied our meals. The timeline for serving food and snacks was perfect, not so late nor early, just about right. They also seem to recognize our need to sleep and allowed quiet and dark during our flight and bathrooms were also clean and fully packed with everything we needed. One observation is the wide seats and better spacing of their plane compared to other Asian airlines, who pack their seats and seem very tight and skimpy. The stay over transition was alright although they (Eva Airlines transition staff) keep asking for printed tickets in Taiwan when some of us had difficulty activating our phones to show them our online boarding tickets. Since passengers aren't able to access anywhere, they should have a better way of not trying make us feel, we have to painstakingly look for a WiFi access (was too weak for an international airport and inconvenient to those travelers just passing by) to be able to show them our boarding tickets again! Our transfer trip wasn't too bad as we safely landed in Manila on time as scheduled, and smoothly.
