If I am willing to drive 40 miles to visit a pet shop, then it rather be good. And Yes good it is as this place is huge and offers everything a Pet lover would ask for. From fish to dogs to reptiles and birds along with all kinds of accessories you can think of. Even though it is huge, it is fairly crowded and I have found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable. I usually come here for Fish as that is all I can safely take care of. They have a great variety of fish and plants so I am always looking forward to the visit. While there do walk over to the puppy area and you will feel way younger and happier. read more

Got our VERY handsome Chocolate lab puppy from All Pets Club in Wallingford Ct! What a fantastic place to buy a puppy from. We traveled quite a distance after having looked at quite a few puppies. We looked at the pup All Pets Club and was pretty sure he was the one for us, but had one more place to look at a pup that was nearby. They said they would hold him for us for the day. We went and looked at the other pup and called Andrew at All Pets Club and said we were coming back for him. He said he would be expecting us. The paperwork with Laurel was very easy and they were very professional and our experience was great! We would not hesitate in buying a pet from them. In our case, they deal with the same breeders and know where the pups are coming from. That can not be said for all places selling pups. read more

We purchased 2 puppies from All Pets Club during Covid. Both through this pet store from different breeders from Kentucky. Unfortunately both dogs are HIGHLY ALLERGIC dogs costing us hundreds of dollars every month. They're great pets and we love them so we deal with Cytopoint shots $100x2 every month, Apoquel tablets $1x2 every day, recurring ear infections from allergies that turn into bacterial infections, and goopy eyes from allergies. DO NOT BUY PUPPIES FROM THIS STORE! Take the advice we always hear and find a legitimate breeder or adopt a dog from a shelter. We also had to deal with 3 trips to the vet to eliminate worms when they were first purchased. read more

Terrible place I don't understand how people can keep supporting these puppy mills. The breeders that all pet clubs use are the bottom of the barrel breeders. They do not care about the dogs health only profit. A lot of the dogs there look sick or have some type of infection on their skin. We purchased the sweetest, most wonderful puppy here in August. They were great at letting us come, taking time with the dog, putting down money for a first choice, etc., and even bringing our current dogs in to meet her. They swore up and down that these were "not puppy mill dogs." One manager even told me the dogs come from "local" breeders. By "local", I assume they mean in the continental US since ours came from a PO Box-"farm" in some lost town in Kansas and there was no actual breeder name. The day we purchased the dog, there was an angry couple there who was complaining about the dog they'd recently purchased who'd already cost them nearly $5000 in medical fees, and quickly assured me that this was not "the norm." Our dog is great (thus the two stars) but she came with us already with Giardia - which has resurged twice now since we got her less than 6 months ago. And, because we have 3 dogs, we have to get medicine not just for her but for all three. And, now she has a UTI. I'm not sure what other fees will be incurred for this sweetest and most wonderful of dogs who has become as much a fabric of our family as my own children, frankly. But if they tell you "we do not use puppy mills" or only cull from "local breeders", they are lying. And, these dogs have all the handicaps and illnesses that the ills of puppy mills inflict on poor little dogs. And, don't fool yourself by telling yourself "you've saved a dog from a mill." If we don't demand puppy mill dogs, they will go out of business. Best of luck. read more

When you go here, there are many benefits. They offer a membership to play with puppies (you only get 15 minutes to play with 2), and the managers are exceptional, even though they could offer more play time. The managers working tonight (2/15) were extremely kind and let us have double time. Tonight we had a poor experience with a worker named Kylie who called my friend a f'ing c-word after a small mistake that was easily rectified. This place makes my skin crawl. What they are doing is so beyond unethical I hope someone finds a way to shut them down. I'll preface by saying I purchased my baby from APC almost a year ago because I couldn't find a local Boston terrier breeder. Their puppies scream puppy mill but like I said couldn't find a local. No promise to spay/neuter contract, and I ended up spending upwards of 1K at the vet because their puppies all have giardia from being kept in tanks together and eating eachother's poop/drinking/eating together. My vet said she sees puppies from APC all the time and they are pumped with so much de-wormer their little bodies are stripped of all beneficial bacteria required in their digestive track. Spent more money fixing that issue. At one point my baby was pooping blood from the de-wormer. About 6 months later I went in because they had gotten a bunch of blue merle French bulldogs and Boston terriers and I wanted to see them in person. One man was walking out with a single shopping cart and had every single blue merle puppy in that cart. Now I can guarantee because those are "fad" coat colors, and ppl are buying them up left and right without researching all of the diseases that come from breeding gene mutations for colored Bostons, that man was almost certainly a backyard breeder/puppy mill owner, and all of those dogs will spend what little lives they have in a basement in a crate getting bred over and over again. Same thing happened today they got in 4 colored Bostons. Put on the site last night Gone by 4PM this afternoon. I'd bet money it was anither puppy mill owner. I lose sleep over this place. If i could give this place 0 stars i would! this place is the worst pet store i have ever been to. My girls and i went to the the all pets club in wallingford, ct to purchase a sugar glider. this is one of a handful of store that sell them. we picked out the one we wanted and took him home. the first month my girls and i played with him everyday hand feeding him to allow him to get use to us. after a few weeks he was final starting to crawl on our arms. just yesterday i was feeding him by hand. he we jumping around his cage and showed no signs of illness. i was horrified to discover today that he died! I called wallingford store right away and explained everything, only to be informed by the employee that there is only a 7 day warranty, and that's for club members, which i signed up for when i was there to get the discount. even with the club discount, the sugar glider, cage, toys and food, cost over $600! for all pets club simple say there is nothing they can do after an animal purchase from them doesn't even survive a month is completely unexceptionable. My girls and i have owned several caged animals through out the years, including: ferrets, bunnies, guinea pig and all these animals we have had for years until they reached old age. (still have the ferret) he's 4. Stay away from this place unless you want to buy an animal and watch it die! i will never never go back to this store and will make sure everyone knows just how they treat their customers! read more

I purchased my Golden Retriever from them. They were very upfront with me about the possibility of Ghiardia. And my vet said its very common in any instance of lots of dogs together. Other than that, and an allergy to chicken, she's been perfect. Update: I went to visit the store on Sunday 04/14/19 around noon. My husband, daughter, niece and myself were looking at the puppies. My daughter was holding her cellphone in her hand. This is the best store in its chain, I believe. But rating the store low at 1 star just because you felt bad for puppy is not appropriate. We visited the store on Nov 3 with our 2 daughters for them to pet the puppy. All puppies are healthy and happy. Visitors who came and pay to pet are all excited. And crowded too. After an hour petting the Dachshund, we came to decision to buy him home same day. A healthy, smart, cute boy who was born from a good breeder in AK. He has birth certificate and every proof of identity. I can confirm that after the vet first health check suggested by the store. I purchased a Bull Mastiff here back in Jan '12. He was an adorable puppy and very sweet, however he had multiple viruses and illnesses and intestinal worms. I received a letter and statement from the vet along with the test results and had to deal with Corona (very nasty puppy manager-she looks like complete trash and has the attitude to match). When I called and told them my dog was completely plagued with disease, she told me that any puppy you buy in a store will come with diseases and they are born with them, at this point I wanted to slap her across the face. Any idiot who works in a puppy store and THINKS dogs are born with disease shouldn't work anywhere near animals. I returned the dog and received a full refund and was refunded a portion of the vet charges. I don't care for the nasty staff here, although I do like their prices, I don't mind the drive to the Branford store because at least there the staff are SOMEWHAT more knowledgable. I go to All Pets Club to buy food, treats, and toys for my dog. Their prices are less or equal to PETCO and other such places for food. It's a good place to buy food for pets. Two of the last three times I've been to the store their computers were down and had to wait a long time to be checked out. The staff was less than apologetic. Ive been going to All Pets for awhile now. It amazing how few good pet stores there are out there. While I wouldnt buy a dog or cat from a pet store, I do go there for supplies. I wish they sold Science Diet foods for my cat, but they lose my business for cat food. Prices are better than Petco or the other chain stores. I never have had any problems with any of the stores employees. The fish room is pretty good, nothing to uncommon, but all in all not bad. Tanks look pretty clean compared to other stores. Reptile area is pretty clean. Nice selection of reptiles. Nothing too rare but they have the basics covered. Tons of supplies. read more

This store is great! Went in today in search of dog boots for my very active Labrador Retriever. We were greeted as we walked in the door, asked what we were looking for and escorted over to the right Section. The salesperson gave me recommendations and then put 2 different types of boots on my dog so we could see which was best. This was excellent because the ones I initially thought I would buy weren't comfortable. We ended up going with her recommendation, my dog wore them out of the store, and was able to go for a walk for the first time in several days! In contrast, we visited another nearby pet store first, were waved in the general direction of the dog boots, found nothing that would work, had to search for someone to ask if they had anything else only to be told "we've been cleaned out." PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE. They sell puppy mill puppies! I was not aware of this when I purchased my precious Shiba Inu. She's barely 2 years old and has hereditary glaucoma, she has already gone blind in one eye and will go blind in both eyes within the next 6 to 12 months according to my vet, she has a heart murmur, and a luxating patella as well. It's absolutely heart breaking seeing the animal I love lose her sight at such and young age, not to mention the pain she has to endure. Vet bills are expensive and I refuse to let my animal suffer because of the irresponsible negligence of this establishment. bought a beautiful Beagle puppy from the Southignton all Pets Club store. A week after purchasing her and falling in love with her, she developed pneumonia and began have seizures, coughing, shaking and vomitting. I took her to the vet hospital as it was the middle of the night. A month and a half later... she is still very sick and has to get shots every single day at the vets office. The vets office seems to also think that she was likely the result of a puppy mill and the doctor wrote a note for us to bring to the pet store indicating that her illness is the direct results of conditions at the pet store and/or at the breeder. Upon contacting All Pets Club I was told I have two options: Return Her within the 30 day period or I should have brought her to a vet in Wallingford for them to cover the expense. I do not live anywhere near wallingford and considering that her illness required immediate attention.. scheduling an appointment at 1 a.m. was simply not a possiblity. I encountered a very rude, uncaring tone with the professional at the store and I have still not seen a dime from them for selling me a very very sick puppy. We have spent $3,000 on her veterinary expenses this far and spent $800 to purchase her. We will be lucky if she survives this illness. DO NOT trust this pet store! read more

I've been to this store many of times with my job. I work with teen girls and they like to come and see the puppies and play with them. The store offers a variety of products, toys, and treats. I'd probably rate them higher but they have one worker names Laurel who is always so rude to us. She is always giving us an attitude and it makes me feel like we are bothering her when we ask to see a dog or have a question. This is your job and you should be happy people want to come and see and play with the puppies not give looks and be judgmental. I say that because when other people come she greets them and is nice to them. We would go other places but we are limited to the places we can go so unfortunately we can't. It makes myself and the girls I'm with feel extremely uncomfortable and makes them wonder why she has a problem with us and not other people. read more

Especially the small animal and bird cages - over crowded and disgusting! The puppies they sell come from puppy mills despite what the employees and owners will tell customers. Most are sick with parasites and untreated infections and many have died from parvo. Their "vet" is a joke. The owners are rude and most of the employees are too. The animals do not get the medical attention that they need - if any of the small animals or birds get sick they are put into the freezer to be killed (this is a FACT as I know someone who worked there and saved many poor creatures from this fate). I am a puppy owner who is writing this review for the selection and pricepoint of dog related goods. I have been very pleased with the prices in All Pets Club, in both their wallingford and branford locations, they are either equal to or less than PETCO prices. I have also had very professional and knowledgeable staff when it comes to assistance in choosing a healthy dog food that isnt top of the line expensive. My dog is a picky eater and a rescue dog and the staff has been very helpful. They even let you return the bag of food for a refund if there is more than 3/4s left and you have a receipt, similar to PETCO policy and helpful if you have a finicky eater in then home. read more

Went to buy a veiled chameleon and it was very sick and dehydrated but I was told by an employee that it should be fine when I brought him home. I've had chameleons before so I know how to properly care for them. I spent two days giving him water and food from an eye dropper and he still didn't pull through. Do not buy your pets here. These stores are very disgusting, the dogs live in urine and feces in their small rooms which are filled with puppies that are most likely sick. my puppy has been sick since i got her and she is 6 months old now, she has been on medicine the whole time now and the bug is so strong it just wont leave her. shut down these terrible stores that DO NOT care and will literally tell you your puppy probably has Giardia. All Pets Club sold me a hedgehog this week and said they could not tell me the sex of it but that once he/she got comfortable with me I would be able to see for myself. I thought it was no big deal. This morning I woke up to go play with him/her, who I've named Papi. Papi was in her little hiding place and there were two dead babies in the cage. It was extremely traumatizing. There was blood everywhere and she kept biting them like she was going to eat them. It was extremely disturbing and I was never told that there was a possibility for my hedgehog to be pregnant. They should be checking their hedgehogs before they sell them to make sure something like this does not happen again. When I called to tell them/ask what to do, they said to bring the dead babies in so that they could bring them to their vet. Why wouldn't they bring them to the vet before selling? They were also pretty rude about it and didn't care that they had sold me a pregnant hedgehog. It was an upsetting morning and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I would advise anyone who is looking to buy a hedgie to buy from a breeder. read more

The best pet chain store I have been to so far. Only one I know of in CT that has an outdoor pond and it is gorgeous. I have purchased fish, pond equipment, cat treats and accessories, and a fish tank from this particular location. Things I have seen, but did not purchase. Reptiles - with food and accessories, birds - with food and accessories, hamster/gerbil/guinea pig - with food and accessories, and I believe they also had ferrets with ferret accessories, but I do not recall seeing them last time I went in so I will have to update that one. They have a layaway service for the more expensive items which is extremely convenient if you need to borrow a van or truck to transport a fish tank or cat rise. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. If you ask someone something and they are unsure, they contact a fellow employee who would know. Prices are a bit higher than other chains, but not enough to take a star off and certainly not enough to complain about (a dollar or two more than other retailers). If you want quality service, expect to pay a bit more. If you have kids or are an animal lover, they let you play with the dogs/cats in a designated area. I often see a grooming station for dogs outside near the pond, but I don't know anything about it. The club card can save you some cash if you visit weekly, but for someone who goes there on special trips, I found it to be a loss more than a gain. At a yearly fee (around 50 bucks I think), it could save you tons off of a big aquarium fish tank or a few larger fish, but if you just purchase cat treats and filters every year, I do not see a gain. The parking lot is massive being connected with about 12 other stores in the plaza. It has 2 entrances and both are located not too far from lights so getting in isn't bad, but getting out can be tricky during rush our with everyone trying to make the lights. Some of the stuff I purchase is seasonal so I call in around spring and they have no problem checking to see if the item is in stock. They sometimes even give me an ETA on when to call back. If you are curious and do not want to make the drive, call in ahead. This is one of my go to places for pond plants and an occasional Koi. If you have a pet, check it out. read more
