I love this place!! My experiences with the Wallingford location have been nothing but stellar! I actually have 2 dogs from All Pets...my first a cockpoo named Cuddles who turned 15 in June and a cairnpoo named Dallas who turned 11 in July. Great dogs...healthy from the start..no problems whatsoever. The staff is wonderful also....very friendly, helpful and engaging! I would recommend everyone to stop in for a visit! read more

I purchased 5 fish from All Pets Club. I was sold these fish with the expectation that they would be ok in my current tank, as that is what I was told by their sales rep. Almost all my plants and fish were purchased from their store. I put the fish in a quarantine tank as always. When I put the fish in their new home they immediately went crazy eating my plants! I removed the fish and tried to take them back to the store. I begged to at least get half of my money in store credit back while also giving them 5 very healthy fish that they will sell for a second profit. I was told ya, um sorry no, but we will take the gladly take the fish back for you. Seriously? I am sorry but that's not the way to do business, you don't sell people fish that aren't compatible with your tank. They just lost my business. read more

I bought cute puppy long ago. She got bloody diahrrea and the vet took care of it. The APC reimburse only the vet cost. I paid so much money on puppy, puppy food, and supplies. I deserve more reimburse. Now she is 9 and has skin problem since she was a puppy. Insurance won't cover it due to pre existing condition. They are from puppy mills! I wouldn't buy puppies from any pet stores at all. Adopt from shelter! read more

My standard poodle is 1 yr, 8 mos. When I bought her she was very ill with visible muscous running down her face the next day. My vet put her on Z-pack, which I had to pay 100. at the pharmacy. I then got VPI insurance and they would deny all her claims due to pre-existing condition. Now I find out she has very bad hip dysplasia, which is genetic. I paid almost 500. to have her xrays done by an orthopedic specialist. She needs a hip replacement (L) maybe the right also. I contacted the store. At 1st Corrine was very sympathetic with me, offering help. Now she or the manager are ignoring me. I will do what I have to do to get financial help with this. EVERYONE WHO HAS SUFFERED HEART BREAK BECAUSE OF ALL PETS PUPPY MILL DOGS SHOULD JOIN IN A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT. read more

WARNING! WARNING! GET YOUR PETS ELSEWHERE! Two days after purchasing our dog, we took him to the vet to be checked out. We found out he had two different infections, was badly dehydrated and had severe diarrhea. We spent almost $160 covering his meds and vet visit. The same day I contacted the store manager in the Southington where we made the purchase. The manager advised me to fax copies of the vets bill and a letter from the vet in order to begin processing a refund as required by state law. I did all that. A week later we went back to the vet and found out there was another issue with the dog. This cost us almost $200 including meds. Approximately three weeks after submitting the original documents to the store for a refund, they had not return a phone call. I contacted them and was told they had no idea where the documents were. The store manager asked me to send them again via fax, so I did. Another week and a half went by before I had to call them again. This time the manager told me he had received a majority of the documents but was unsure as to what happen to the letter from the vet. Once again, I sent it to him. A week goes by and I hear nothing. After calling the manager informed me that he had received the document and had forwarded it to the owner of the store who was based in Wallingford. He advised me that I would be hearing from the owner within two weeks. Three weeks goes by and I receive a letter from the owner with $9.50 store credit. ARE YOU KIDDING?! I have spent almost $400 on medication and vets visits and they send me a $9.50 credit?! We love our dog regardless of all the crap we have to be dealing with. However, we will NEVER make another purchase at any All Pets Club stores. By the way, our dog is still sick and the two different vets I've taken him to can't figure out whats wrong. I've got another appointment coming up and I'm sure it'll be just as costly as the first few. If you want to avoid we've been dealing with since we purchased our new puppy from the place, GET YOUR PET ELSEWHERE. Maybe a private breeder. Not from All Pets Club. read more

We bought our St Bernard at APC about 8 years ago and she was extremely sick from the day we brought her home. APC wanted us to go to their "vet", but we were told the issues should have been caught. I don't believe they have vet care or maybe they don't have a vet who cares. She suffered for four years til we had to put her down. She had a genetic hip condition and any decent breeder would have known and stopped breeding the dogs. But APC must get a great rate on dogs from these terrible breeders. We put her down when we told she needed another surgery on her shoulder. She suffered everyday of her four years! She was never fully mentally there, but that was much worse after her hip replacement. We knew she couldn't make it through another surgery.im horrified to see all the recent stories and people sharing stories of their dogs over the years! How irresponsible of these scumbag owners to continue solely for a profit! We knew not to buy from a puppy mill pet store, but she was so damn cute. Don't make the same mistakes. Dogs are just as cute from a reputable breeder. read more

Great experience every time I've been here. They always have what I need for my exotic pets and I'm always greeted by employees to see if I need assistance. Jordan, Sergio, and the girl with blue hair (never got her name) are exceptional and knowledgeable employees. I still have yet to ask a question they couldn't answer. The most important thing to me when walking into a pet shop is that the animals are well taken care of, and the staff is experienced and versed in the animals. All pets club meets both of my expectations. I have purchased animals and plants here before and all including plants are still thriving years later. I recently took home two zebra finches from here as well to join my other z.f's at home and they are also doing fantastic. They almost always have the supplies I need and are very friendly and informative people. I mainly deal with the aquatics and exotic pet area but I find that most of the employees are capable of dealing with all departments and have expertise in areas they don't even work in. Again I'd like to point out Sergio, Jordan and the girl with blue hair, for above and beyond experiences and truly knowing what they're doing. All pets club might be a chain but they run it like a local shop with high enthusiasm and care for animals. Thanks you guys! read more

We bought our yellow lab from all pets club in December of 2013. She was a very sick puppy, with a virus and parasites. We understand that this is a common occurrence with puppies from puppy stores, but when we bought her the guy that was our salesperson told us they keep them healthy and up to date with their own vet. The first lie. We decided to become a member of their club, which I believe we had to pay for, which is much different from petco or petsmart. Those stores offer free memberships. Last month we went to buy a new collar and leash for our growing pup, and we were told by the same sales person that if we bought a specific leash that it was exchangeable if anything happened to it. Within two weeks the leash was split in two. We brought it back to the store thinking we would be able to switch it out for a new one, however we were told by the snotty cashier that we have to mail it back to the company that made the leash and they would send us a new one. The manager didn't even have the courtesy to come out and speak to us after we expressed our frustration. We left all pets club, with our broken leash, and drove less than a mile up the road to go to Petsmart. We were approached by a nice young man in the leash aisle who helped us fit our girl with a new harness and leash. He told us if it didn't work to bring it back to exchange it at any time. My business and money will be at Petsmart... Never again will I go to All Pets Club! read more

This place is terrible please do not give them any business. They sell puppy mill dogs and my family owns a bulldog purchased from them. Our poor little buddy has always had behavior/aggression issues and it has caused all of us a lot of heartache. Do your research and rescue a dog or buy from a reputable breeder!!!! My family and I have been looking for an old English sheepdog for more then 5 years. We couldn't believe all pets club had two. We was so excited we took Elmo home on Monday October 5 2015. On our way we saw he was breathing very heavy and lots of fluids coming out of his mouth. We also saw he wouldn't stop scathing both his ears, and when he went out for potty he had diarrhea. We called all pets club and was told he was nervous because Elmo has never been outside. Our Elmo is 5 months old. We was also told that the diarrhea would stop, and The breathing was normal. I will tell you I didn't move from the floor for a good 4 hours. I wanted to make him feel better. He is my son and that's what moms do. Tuesday October 6 2015 he was still having heavy breathing and scratchy ears and last but not least diarrhea. We called veterinarian and made and appointments for October 19 2015.. We also wanted to look into dog training so we took our Elmo too petco.. I must say the lady that does the training their; she's so kind and amazing human being. She took one look at him and knew something was wrong. She walked me into their grooming area.. We then meet wonderful women who saw him scratch his ears and said Wao when did you get him; we said yesterday. They both said omg we can't believe they gave him like this.. "I said omg why?" His ears were so dirty.. I then said omg he keeps scratching them. They said he needed them clean. We made appointment for the very next day. Unfortunately they had no opening that day. When we got home, I called all pets club I told them how bad he was scratching his ears and how a pet trainer and groomer both believe he never got an ear cleaning in a long time. He then said no he did he got a cleaning here. I said now I have to pay for it. When you guys should had giving him to me with everything already done. He then said well if you come here and buy the ear cleaner we can show you how too clean them. I was very upset. Wednesday October 7 2015 we got a phone call from all pets club; I will say I don't believe it was the same person I spoke too on Tuesday. He asked about our new member I told him everything again; that I have been saying every day to all pet club employees. He said fax all the information someone not sure name will review and get back to me.... Picked up Elmo from his grooming day thank god I asked for pictures of ears and everything they find. He also had something in left elbow. Looks like a big scab or something I could t tell you. So we paid Grooming; mind you he shouldn't need till at least being with us more then just two days. Yeah crazy. So Elmo didn't stop scratching ears. You have no idea how bad he was scratching. His breathing was so bad I started to cry. We had no idea what was happening to our little one. The scratching didn't stop with the cleaning. The heavy breathing was still bad, diarrhea wouldn't go away. I called the vet on Thursday morning October 8 2015. They made him and emergency visit. Our Elmo has mites in both ears, he has a fever.. Had too get done a few things.. Now we wait for result and pray he is okay. I just called all pets club told them everything. Now I wait and hope you guys reimburse me for everything we had too pay. We don't mind paying if it was our neglect but it wasn't. It was yours. This is a pretty big pet store and has a lot of fish,birds, reptiles, small mammals ( including animals like sugar gliders or sloths) and dogs. I keep fish and go there regularly for live worms. They have an interesting selection and a lot of supplies and most of the people there are pretty good and their prices are high- all in all a pretty good place even to just go to look at the fish and animals. read more

I have a boxer puppy from All Pets Club in Wallingford and he is perfect! They have a great selection of puppies and they keep them in huge play pens - not in individual cages. It's a pet store. I don't walk in there expecting it to be anything more. If you are buying a pet anywhere (other than by your neighbor who refuses to spay his own pet)... It comes from a "puppy mill." People in the business of breeding for profit. With that said, the employees have always been friendly and helpful. The pup I purchased there has turned out better than I could have imagined. I see employees cleaning, disinfecting the areas where the dogs are housed. Quite honestly out of all the pets stores and "puppy mills" I have visited in my life.. I feel good at All Pets when I see the pups running around in the large open rooms, having plenty of fun and taking naps. They are NOT spending their lives in a often too crowded 2x3 cell. Ultimately.. I would like an end to all animals being bred and sold for profit and instead live their intended life in the wild (ie birds, rodents, reptiles, etc), but in the meantime caring for them and understanding their needs teaches my children some important things including compassion and conservation. *weekly visitor* read more

I actually had a a very good experience with the purchase of a cute little puppy from here over 5 years ago. She was healthy from the start and still is today. They also have a large assortment of canned/dry food, toys, and anything else I need. I prefer this APC in Wallingford over the Branford and Southington locations. read more

Went here to buy treats for my dog and they have a good selection of dog treats and a nice bakery section however the staff here are not very friendly or customer service oriented. I was over charged for one of the dog treats that i bought and the cashier had a bad attiude when i brought it to her attention and requested a refund. I prefer to go to Petco or Petsmart at least they treat customers better. Also, those poor puppies for sale in the store look so young to be away from there moms i prefer to rescue a pup but of course every pup needs a home no matter where they come from. read more

After I called the store and asked if they had a specific animal in stock they replied yes, I then said that I would be in one hour as I had to drive across the state to get there. They replied not a problem. I made great time on the highway and made it in less then 45 minutes. I got there bouncing and excited when I found the area in which this animal was kept and I became deflated and then slightly annoyed when the workers ignored my request for help. She then told me the had sold the animal 30 mins prior. I had called and asked to hold the animal and they sold it 15 minutes later. This is seriously unprofessional. I wasted two hours driving. Will NEVER buy from them...... read more
