The AC was starting to short cycle and stop working at certain points in the day and we realized it is because the unit itself does not get enough ventilation (remember from my last post, the unit was not made for this space, so the brick wall in the closest blocks 1/3 of it). We were out of ideas as to what to do and All Phases ended up sending over their Service Manager to help, along with another tech. They called over to tech support to explain the issue, were told to do something with the X and Y wires, and all of a sudden, the unit was blowing at 150% capacity. I was not home, but my husband was there to witness it and apparently, there was a couple of bangs, and then the short cycling was getting worse. The two techs left my home in this condition. Thankfully, our friend was there (the former employee) and he was able to fix what they did. The wires were crossed entirely incorrectly. He called tech support and was able to fix it, but the person on the on the end was shocked to hear that a system like that had been put in a space where it didn't belong and advised him to run for the hills (literally, word for word). When I called Carl crying and letting him know what was going on, I was berated and screamed at in a way that no other person has ever yelled at me. The words abusive and vulgar are the first that comes to mind. It was awful. I had a 45 minute drive home from work and literally vomited twice on the way home thinking about all of the money I had just spent for a system that just wouldn't work. I was devastated. All the while, I texted Carl stating that when I spend the kind of money I spent, I would expect a functioning unit. He then said he would "add me to his bankruptcy". I had no idea he was in financial trouble so I would caution anyone working with him, or who has given him a down payment to be careful as he was very quick to label me as a "creditor" despite the fact that I never threatened to sue him. I started to question if this job was permitted so I called the City Inspector's Office. Since All Phases does not have anyone with a license to mess with the gas lines, they had a plumber named Leon Padduck out of Canton pull a permit. This man was never in my home to do any work and worst of all, never closed out the permit because the unit was never inspected by the city. So now, the city needs to track this person down and schedule an inspection...yet he has never stepped foot in my house. Thankfully, our friend was able to figure out why the system worked last year...but not now.....it was all of the foamboard and insulation that the All Phases team installed in February. They put the foam board on the sides and encased the entire bottom of the unit so it was choking and could not breath. (Photos attached). Everything has been removed and the system is working. I had a two year warranty with All Phases that I have happily given up. I would rather pay someone to maintain and work on my system, than to ever speak to these people again. Please use caution. I recommend double checking any quotes you get from these folks. I wanted a quote to replace a $2,500 boiler. The quote was for $15,000. I requested the breakdown and didn't get one. The next contractor that I called was half the price and the install was great. So just check their quotes. Mine was way off. read more

Give them a call right after the big storm recently because my furnace would not start. The owner came right to the phone and dispatch someone within an hour and a half to come take a look at things. So you need an HVAC contractor to service your equipment, Well, I have just the company for you !! All Phase Mechanical !! I am a previous customer and they have always done excellent work. In this case, I had a very time sensitive service issue that I did not find out about it until a Saturday and needed to have the work completed by the next day (Sunday). Called Carl and explained my predicament and he said he would call me back within the hour. Less than one hour later, he had a crew mobilized and they were onsite one hour after that. This is on the weekend. They went right to work, and had my problems resolved within two hours. Did I mention price..... they were as always, very cost effective in a situation where they could very well charged me what ever they wanted and I probably would have gladly paid it to resolve this service issue. But they didn't !! In this business climate there are way too many companies that say they provide good service. However, these guys mean it and they deliver !! Don't look any further for your HVAC needs. These are the guys period !! read more

As a business owner for over 28 years in the customer service industry, All Phases Mechanical is by far the worst I have ever encountered! It confuses me how they are still able to stay in business. I am genuinely sympathetic for all future customers who have the misfortune of hiring them. Unfortunately, I regret not having done my homework when researching this company by reading the customer complaints at the Better Business Bureau by other fellow disgruntled customers. To make the long story short, in 2012 they installed a central air conditioning in my beach house on Cape Cod that continues to repeatedly malfunction. The last straw was my phone call to the company on June 22, 2013 to report that the AC was not cooling the home for my summer rentals arriving that day (inside home was showing a degree temp of 85). All Phases Mechanical was contacted numerous times via phone and text. When I was finally in contact with the company, the owner was unsympathetic and verbally abusive to me over the phone. He indicated that "AC was not an emergency and did not care about my tenants". He finally sent somebody out on Monday, June 24, only to tell me that the unit was frozen and would return early Tuesday Morning, June 25. They did not arrive until noontime and could not fix the unit, and informed me that no one will be able to come back until Monday, July 1, 9 days after my initial phone call! They put their "paid" customers ahead of warrantee work and do not honor their contracts. I was left with no other choice but to refund the renters their rental money since they could not bear the heat any longer and left on Tuesday, June 25. I have since resorted to contacting a "professional" company to look at the unit and proceeded in contacting my attorney. If I could give All Phases Mechanical a negative star I would. They have no intention of maintaining a long term business relationship with their customers since they know that it's only a matter of time before the customer wises up to their deceitful practices. This company is unprofessional, unethical and should be avoided at all costs. read more

I used All Phases Mechanical for Air Conditioning in a commercial retail store in Plymouth in 2014. I had priced up a few other companies but in the end I went with All Phases. I was very happy with the work they done, the communication I received during the install and the response I received when I had questions. I made a partial payment for the equipment when I agreed to the price and was only asked for the remaining balance at the end of the job when everything was complete and working. I did read the reviews beforhand but believe that there are two sides to every story. I used All Phases again in the summer of 2015 to repair a Central Air Conditioning system this time in my own home. Even though they did not install this system originally they came straight out when I called to take care of the repair. I have had no issues since. Both times I dealt directly with the owner and I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. read more

After having another company out to see our system, and 3 weeks of not having AC, waiting for the guys to come, having to be home for them fr 4 hours, and in the end they couldn't tell me what was wrong. I called All Phases and they came out within 6 hours, gave me a proposal in a timely matter, and came to fix the unit 2 days later (in the heat of July) and all was done professionally and the price was reasonable. Please read this entire review before you consider hiring All Phases for ANY project, small or big. The owner of the company, Carl, literally tried to blackmail us to post positive reviews about his company. His business practices are completely dishonest and immoral. We had used All Phases mechanical in the past to repair our HVAC system and they completed the work to fix it then, but our most recent experience was extremely negative and I think other prospective customers should be warned. After our heating unit stopped working upstairs where our daughter sleeps, we contacted several HVAC companies for quotes to come fix the unit. We knew that the main issue was that the condensation line runs outside and could potentially freeze, and one of the only fixes might be a rather expensive project, so we were looking for quotes for that work, but also anything they could do to potentially fix it in the meantime. One company was going to charge $89 for a service call, but we cancelled them because we had used All Phases in the past and not been charged a service fee, but in hindsight that is probably because they ended up quoting us jobs that were $850 or more and we used them for the work. I spoke with the owner of All Phases, Carl, and texted him the make and model of the furnace in our attic, he NEVER said there would be a service fee. When the gentleman arrived to look at the furnace, they made NO mention of a service fee. They were there for 20 minutes max, did NOTHING to service the furnace so that it worked properly, even temporarily, and then said we owed a $200 "service" fee. I asked why the fee was so expensive and mentioned that I didn't recall paying that in the past, and one of the workers said that the owner, Carl, has raised the service fees. Obviously, Carl knew if he told us there would be a $200 service fee we never would have had them come out, especially since nothing was fixed and now we must pay another company to fix the unit. The gentlemen who worked for the company suggested putting heat tape on the condenser line, which is an absolute fire hazard for a pipe that is in an attic and doesn't have water running through it constantly like a water pipe would. There are warnings all over those tapes to not use it for something like a condensation line, and especially in an attic. I called Carl that same day to inquire why we were charged $200 and he said in a very unprofessional way that he was not about to argue with someone over $200 and said "What do you want me to do, return your check or not cash it?" I said yes and he hung up and called me back with the gentlemen who had been to the house on the same call. I explained again that at no time did anyone tell us there would be a service charge and we had cancelled another company that was going to charge $89. He said he would split the difference and mail me a check back for $110, but I was very skeptical and asked if they had already cashed the check since they had just left the house a little while ago. Before the worker who was at our house could answer, Carl said "yes, we cashed the check!" I did not believe him, so I cancelled the check. This is when the threats and blackmail started. Carl called and texted me several times saying completely unprofessional things. We mailed Carl a new check for $89, which is the amount we agreed upon over the phone, but he continued to threaten to bring us to small claims court. When he received the $89 check he sent me the following text: "I got a check but it was short. I was expecting $200 to recover the stop payment check plus bank fees. The settlement offer on the table right now and is good for 24 hours, 1/25/2018 2 pm: I'll expect (sic) $89 check only if you agree and post a good review 2 places and send me email you agree I can post on my website BBB reviews & Angie's list or Networx or Yelp If you need any links to make it easier let me know ASAP Please if you agree post reviews & send me email with brief positive text so we can post on are (sic) site. If you do this I'll except (sic) $89 in full settlement. This offer is good until 1/25 2 pm Carl" We obviously could not in good conscience post any positive reviews about this dishonest company. Carl filed a claim in small claims court, and this situation has been a complete nightmare. I don't think contractors should be able to get away with treating customers this way. Please do not use this company. It should also be noted that at no time were we provided a written quote, invoice or receipt, and no work was done to the furnace. read more

When our oil fed boiler died on us a few years back we hired All Phases after receiving 3 estimates total. I remember Carl T spending at least one hour down our basement explaining his proposal step by step. Made some good suggestions which we went with. Converted to Gas feed boiler was one of them. We contacted All Phases in mid June 2014. Carl Tucci came out that afternoon and bid the job. We compared his price and equipment offered to another quote we had and signed a contract the next day as it was a very good price in comparison. They installed A/C in an existing home. Placed the blower in the attic. Piped the cool air up 2 floors plus from the condenser to the attic. Vented it directly to the 2nd floor rooms ( 2 vents per room too) and ran vents through closets down to the 1st floor rooms. The house is cool. The temperature exactly matches the settings. The entire staff was professional hard working and knowledgeable. The attic was hot but they all worked hard and got the job done by the time our company arrived 7/10/14. read more

My tale of woe starts 5 years ago when I foolishly gave All Phases a shot at installing central air in my house. They were not the cheapest quote I got but the owner Carl is a two faced scum bag, who could sell an Eskimo ice water. The best part of the deal was the installation,which went well I think mainly because Carl wasn't here. The unit worked well for a couple of days before my daughters light turned into a sprinkler. Called Carl and he sent Henry out to fix the problem. The drain pan was not draining and the safety that is supposed to shut the system down didn't work. Henry fixed it and gave me his cell number if I had problems in the future. It worked well the rest of the year. The next year I turned it on and all it did is hum. I calle Henry who has been great during this. He came out and said the freon had leaked out. He refilled the system and put some sealant in it. It worked alright the rest of the season. The next year it was the same thing. Called Henry out he said it was out of freon again. He refilled it and put more sealant in it. I said to him the warranty was ending shouldn't they find out why it keeps leaking. He said he put more sealant in it and I have his number, so he would take care of it even if the warranty ends. It lasted the rest of the season. The next year was the same thing except this year it was a Friday evening and Henry said he was out of freon and couldn't get any until Monday. At this point I was ticked off so I called Carl and left him a message detailing my frustration. Within twenty minutes Henry was at my house and guess what he found some freon. That brings us to this year I was dreading turning the unit on but it started blowing cool air. I said wow only took four years to get the thing to work right but after I received my first electric bill which was $500. I looked up how to test your ac so I tested it it should be a 14 to 20 degree difference between the air going in and the air going out. My system had an 8 degree difference. Which according to the web site says it has to little freon in it which is waisting my electricity, making the system run constantly to barely keep the house cool. I called Henry but his number was no longer in service. So I called Carl who said that if he could be my electric provider he would give me a free service call. He sent out a guy two days later who said the system was working normally. The thermostat was on 70 degrees all day and at 4 in the afternoon it had been working all day and the house was 75. To which the guy said that was normal. Carl called me and said he would like to come by to talk about my electric, so I said we need to talk about this system that is not working near its potential, he said he would bring Henry to look at it. I said I would be home at 5:30 so he asked if someone would be home so they could start looking at the system before 5:30 I said yes my wife. When I got home at 5:30 Carl and Henry were pulling out of my driveway and my wife was crying on the front steps. Her and my teenage son and daughter were home. They said Carl walked in said its cool in here to which my wife said its been on 70 all day and it was 75 in the house. At that point Henry went to get a flashlight and Carl got verbally abusive to my wife when she reminded him that the system never worked right and all they've done is put band aids on the problem. I wouldn't recommend this company to my enemy's and Carl don't waist your time trying to get me to take this down like you do to anyone who gives you an honest review. read more

Lori's review and their response pretty much sums it up. Everything they installed in my home broke. They use they cheapest equipment and charge premium prices. First the furnace didn't work days after the install. The plumber tore the manual and pieces of paper got stuck in the condensate line. Then the pex fittings leaked, again days after the install. They used the cheapest fittings around. I had them replaced with better fittings. The condensate pan had a crack from the moment they installed it. It took over a year for them to come out and make it right (long story). Now the water heater is leaking. I've been getting the run around for days. I'm really condensing the nightmare that is dealing with these people. They keep their reviews here and on BBB somewhat favorable by having negative reviews removed by consumers. They came out right away after I told the truth just as it happened on BBB. They replaced the parts on the condition that I remove my feedback. It was the middle of a heatwave and I had an infant in the house so I did what I had to do. Now I have no hot water and a flooded basement because of a water heater that is still under warranty. A water heater that has horrible reviews. They install these because they're not sold to consumers. Which means you have to go back to them for repairs and replacements. FW Webb is the only place I can find that carries it but they won't give it to you without a license. These guys are scam artist. I needed to close on the property and it was a rehab loan so I went with them in a pinch. Over 20k for not even a 10k job. I'll be paying for it for 30 years. Don't do business with these people. Don't let them near your property. read more
