I just had my control arms replaced and the car still vibrates at high speed braking. Do you think the rotors are warped?

Yes, warped or uneven brake rotors are a strong possibility, especially if the vibration happens mainly when braking from higher speeds. However, we would recommend inspecting the front brake rotors for runout and thickness variation, along with…

Hello Eddie, I have a 2017 KIA Forte 5 and the engine started knocking really bad. I took it to the dealer KIA of North Austin and they said the engine is blown and needs to be replaced. Is this something you can work on?

Sorry to hear about the issue with the engine. If it's not under warranty or recall, we can definitely help you replace or repair the engine. We are currently closed till January 5th. Let me know if you need to tow it to the shop and leave it there…

The mechanic/owner (Eddie) opened the hood and said that my car was known for having a part that leaked, which was probably causing the water to be low and engine to overheat.

Their first and second offers were far lower than ABW's estimate, and I was a wreck about proceeding with a repair without them agreeing to the correct figure in advance. I felt very hopeless and was sure I was going to get screwed over somehow. Not only did ABW flawlessly fix my car, they handled everything with the other insurance company behind the scenes and I walked out the door without lifting a finger. I was shocked and deeply grateful. They made what I was turning into a very stressful situation easy. As I was leaving I told them I hope I never see them again, but truly I am so grateful I know what to do now if I ever have a problem in the future. I bought a vintage truck online from a reputable seller on a popular auction site. The truck ended up being not what was described and the seller enlisted ATX Autosport (local to me) to repair it. The list of items wrong was long and quite ambiguous. It ranged from "vibration under acceleration" to a massive fuel leak to a failing spark plug wire design and many items in between. I was in an interesting position, as the owner of a vehicle but not the client paying for it. I outlined all of the issues and Jason understood that I was looking to have a vehicle that was safe to drive my family around town in. With each step of repair, it required Jason to spend some time driving the vehicle to see what was fixed and what needed further attention. By no means was this a straightforward repair. It took a few months to complete all of the work. Through each step of the way, Jason provided updates that I would consider far above expectations. I felt like he didn't need to do this level of detail on his updates but it proved to me how well my truck was being cared for. Ultimately, the end of our relationship included a less than smooth vehicle transport to my new home, out of state. We had some hiccups getting the right carrier to move it and, again, Jason made it happen. He took extra time to make sure the vehicle was treated right and properly shipped out to me. I am very grateful for him and his team. In this new world of cutting corners and finding ways to pad your bottom line, I'm thankful to find people like Jason @ ATX Autosport. I recommend them, without any hesitation.

Their philosophy of working on cars like it's their own resonated throughout the entire time my Audi A5 was in their hands. I brought in my Audi A5 to get spacers installed and to investigate a strange road noise. Joe and Jason were extremely thorough with the diagnosis of the road noise. They attached wireless stethoscopes to each wheel to pinpoint exactly where the noise was coming from. Turns out I had some bad wheel bearings, and they needed to be replaced. Minus waiting on parts to be delivered, Joe and Jason finished work on my car in 2 days, documenting everything with photos and videos. Going above and beyond in communicating every single detail is what I feel sets ATX Autosport apart from the other shops in town. I knew exactly what was going on at any given moment. Jason was also kind enough to do concierge service to the dealership to get my expired inspection stickers replaced. Even if you don't need any work done, I highly suggest just stopping by the shop to look around and chat with Joe and Jason. My overall experience was extremely satisfying, and I will be taking my Audi to Joe and Jason from here on out.

Two words: UNPROFESSIONAL and DECEITFUL…read more I truly don't know where to begin. I despise writing a poor review for a locally-owned business, but after months of being led-on and ignored, I am writing this in hopes of saving someone else's precious time. My husband was in a car wreck in October 2025. The person who rear-ended him has terrible insurance, so we decided to file a claim through our insurance, Allstate. Capital City Collision provided us a quote that our insurance did not agree with. An Allstate negotiator went back and forth with the shop. Part of the issue was my husband's truck had after-market parts that were damaged. Our Allstate negotiator, Elizabeth, called us to confirm that she was able to get funds approved by her manager and they reached an agreement on pricing with the shop. A check for $2,207.66 was sent to the shop to start ordering parts. According to Allstate, the shop cashed the check on January 20th. It is now March 19th and the shop still has yet to reach out. I have tried calling the shop multiple times in the last two months. Each time I call, they answer and hang-up immediately. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they are busy. I tried calling the shop today, and again, same situation: answer, then hang up. I thought to myself, "hmm... maybe they really are ignoring our calls?" So I waited 15 minutes and called back with a blocked number. What do you know... Catherine decided to pick up and answer this time! She kept me on hold for 9 minutes before taking me off hold and hanging up on me immediately. I called back, and a man answered. He transferred me up to Catherine, who kept me on hold for 4 minutes this time and hung up immediately. While I was on hold the second time, I received a text message saying they wouldn't do business with us. They ignored my text, asking when they planned on returning the check they cashed for $2,207.66. My husband and I have been trying to get his truck fixed since October 2025. It is now March 2026. I understand that our insurance was being difficult to work with... we were annoyed by Allstate, too! That being said, Capital City Collision could have rejected our business months ago, instead of stringing us along. Rather than sending this text message 5 months ago when this all started, they chose to dodge our calls and waste our time. Unprofessional does not even begin to describe their behavior. They were avoidant, deceptive, thieving, and rude.

It was easy to make the appointment to have the Jeep towed in and they got back to me by the end of the day with the diagnostic. My brake line had blown out and they were going to replace it. The next day they called to tell me there were no brake lines available for my Jeep anywhere with MOPAR, or any other manufacturer. People in my situation are all waiting months for these things on back order. Most shops would have probably told me to come tow this Jeep out of their way until a brake line was available. Not Juke! They thought outside the box and let me know a hydraulic shop they work with could build the part for me, and it would only be $80 more! Perfect! Even though they had to run around town with these brake lines, and rely on another shop to hunt down parts and fabricate custom brake lines for me, they had my Jeep back to me after just 6 business days! The other great thing is Miguel kept me updated the whole time and I never had to worry about if my vehicle was being taken care of.
