We usually use Stanley Steemer and wanted to change things up and try a different service for comparison. Saw the Groupon and paid for the multi level option. Stairs were extra, with 2 flights of stairs (30 steps total $3/step) totaling $160. Overall the carpet was in good condition prior not in need of deep cleaning. We received a confirmation text earlier in the morning which was good. After the service, at first glance the carpet was clean. However, we were informed that the inner walls of the stairs would be cleaned (the vertical side), which were not. Compare to other services which also instruct it takes x number of hours for the carpet to dry, the previous services left the carpet a lot drier. Think dampness vs spongy. We did put out fans but since prolonged carpet wetness can be a serious concern we got out the dry vac and worked on the carpet for a long time after. Towards the end of the service the last few stairs was gone over very briefly and stains remained. After a few hours we noticed wherever there were turns the edges were dirty from the hoses being pulled. Unfortunately we don't have touch up paint left so we usually try to be meticulous in avoiding staining the walls. There was a disregard for the walls. One of the workers walked in with boots and there was mud on it. Even though the carpet will be cleaned there should be more respect for people's homes. Folks were friendly, we simply want to share our experience in case some other people care about the same things that we do. read more

Today I received really great service. They carpet cleaners arrived on time and completed my 2 bdrm apartment in less than an hour. I like to think their time efficiency is due to their experience and I would definitely recommend this company. They are based in the San Jose area but came to Livermore to do my carpet. Amazing service! My husband and I started our spring cleaning early this year. We decided last minute to have our carpets cleaned. We originally checked online with Stanley Steamers but they didn't have same day availability. I've seen carpet cleaning services on Groupon in the past so I decided to check there in hopes to find cleaners that had same day service. All Pro Carpet Cleaning was the first listing on Groupon for $44. I gave them a call and unfortunately they were pretty booked but after briefly placing me on hold they informed me they could squeeze us in and before I even mentioned Groupon, they already mentioned the Groupon price and quoted us for $44. In addition to squeezing us in and giving us the Groupon rate they were able to come by in just 30 minutes! Amazing. Very bad quality and the guy who came to my house was super dishonest and shady. Logistically a nightmare to reschedule. So overall, a very negative experience. Our last carpet cleaning company was so much more professional and effective. Will never use this company again. Beware! Got a Groupon for a carpet steam and made appointment with them. Appointment was at 9, didn't arrive until 9:50, causing me to almost miss an important meeting. One guy try to up sell and told me if I want the stairs cleaned, it be $4/step and each room would be $50 for deep cleaning. This pricing was 50% discount and had to be paid on top of the 50 Groupon I purchased. So a one story carpet cleaning plus some stairs would cause me around 300. Obviously he's lying because even on the Groupon it states stairs are 3/step and not 4, and 100/a room (less than 20 sqft per room) is unheard of. So I decided to just deep clean an area that had some fruit juice stain and steam clean a flight of stairs since the guys already here. I left my mom home to watch them while I had to rush to my meeting. After I got back, my mom told me they charged her over 100 dollars and the cleaning session only took 20 min). I looked at the stained area and it was still there, didn't lift a bit. All areas except the deep cleaned area was already dry (it's only been an hour). The entire area look as if no cleaning was even done. This company compare to the last company I used was significantly worse in terms of both pricing and quality. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE CARPET CLEANER, he will try HARD to UPSALE you! I was quoted $100 for my whole house (3 bedrooms + stairs @4.25 per stair totaling to $100) based on a deal I found I groupon. The guy that answers the call was friendly but the carpet cleaner will try to hustle you til he gets what he wants.!!! Not in this case... 2/3 of my bedrooms were in good condition with only one spot in one room. Only the master bedroom, hallway and stairs was a little darker but not very BAD. My appointment was between 1-3pm. I got a call at 8am from the carpet cleaner saying that he was on his way. I told him my appt was in the afternoon and he said... "Oh, they always do that.. I'll come at noon" I said okay. Once he got there... He looked at my house and said my house will cost me $175.. He said on the invoice it shows my house is a ONE bedroom (what a lie). I told him I was quoted $100 and it was confirmed via text. I showed him the text and he still will not believe me. I called his "boss" but I think it's his partner... And they went back and forth.. In the end, I told the cleaner that if its not going to be $100 like I was quoted, then I'm not interested. He told me my house needed a "DEEP CLEAN" but I know for damn sure it didn't. If I only want to pay for shampoo, just give me what I ask for.... STOP making it a big deal of what I need...!! I only needed a light cleaning just to show my landlord that the carpets we're professionally cleaned. I wasn't going to spend more than what I was originally quoted. He then said... You gotta at least pay $140, I said... Nope. I only have $100 on me, that's all I can pay. So after I refused service, that guy then tried to BRIBE ME... He said.. Do you have Yelp..? I said yes.. He said.. "Go on there... Give Danny a 5 star review and I will do a deep cleaning for you...." I thought to myself... Okay..?!! But I really don't need a deep cleaning.... So I just said "okay" anyway... So I timed him.... It took him 18 minutes to clean my whole upstairs, and my staircase... I went to go look... And 3 of my stains were still there... The carpet was barely touched, lightly wet.... He obviously did NOT do a deep cleaning.... He rushed and bullshitted his way around it. There is NO way anyone can deep clean or regular carpet clean a 3 bedroom house with stairs in less than 20 minutes. It takes me even longer than that to vacuum all of that..!!! In the end.... I realized it was a scam! I was already warned by other Carpet cleaning companies that the deals on groupon arnt real and that they will UPSALE me... They were right..!! This is sad,.. Horrible experience .... DONT buy their GROUPON If you don't upgrade, its a NO to clean your carpet with some or the other reason. I called these Carpet Cleaning guys before buying a Groupon for 50 odd bucks and booked an appointment for Saturday 11:00-1:00. I confirmed on fine details to ensure I dont miss anything and they told me that yes, it will be a steam cleaning but for heavy soiling they charge extra which I said is fine since I keep it pretty clean and wasn't my case. On the bright and sunny Saturday(which I would have enjoyed on the beach otherwise) I called them at 10:30 AM in the morning to confirm everything is on the track but Whoooaaaaa ....I got an answer that we provided an arrival WINDOW not 11:00 to 1:00 as time of appointment..... Fine !! This is where it all starts, at 1:00 PM I got another call saying that their pump has some issues and they need to arrange for some other vehicle so either I can reschedule or they will be able to make it at 3:00. Since I had wasted my Saturday already, I decided to wait further and agreed for a 3:00 PM. After coming to my place they said that you need to pay extra for the soiling on entrance since it needs a deep clean. I decided not to do that and asked them go ahead with normal clean/deal that I had. Since they realized its a Groupon with $45 bucks and I ain't upgrading, they started to say let us see how to manage the clean. After 5 minutes of in and out trips from my apartment they said that their equipment is not mobile and it will be CHALLENGING to clean your carpet. Their truck doesn't have that long pipes to reach the apartment. I do suggested them to use balcony but they said no it wont work without providing any solid reason. WHAAAT ..... Really !!!!! They said you can call Groupon and get your refund... I would say if really your equipment isn't mobile and cannot reach apartments, you should mention this in your Groupon. At-least when I am calling you twice to book and appointment, ask such questions then. Horrible experience !!!!!! I never ever thought of such unprofessional response. First off I gotta say that a Groupon deal for $49 for a 1 bedroom steam cleaning is a steal. I'm familiar with labor/construction type work and it's rough. Lots of competition I'm sure and tiny margins I bet. I saw the $49 deal on groupon and tried to buy but it was sold out. So I called directly and they said they would give me the same deal. First (very minor) issue was that they got my appointment date incorrect... but since I'm an OCD type of person I called more than a few days ahead to confirm and correct the appointment. No biggie. When the guy showed up he expressed some concern that the distance from my apartment to his van was pretty far (for hose hookup). The distance is 160' on the same floor... I don't think you can expect any better from an APARTMENT?! If this had been my old apt, it would have been over 180' plus a flight of stairs lol! Anyway he continued and said he'll make it work. I left and by the time I got back he goes "I gotta charge you $70. Too far from van blah blah blah. I could have done 2 jobs by now blah blah blah. I should have just left blah blah blah." I know it's not easy work and he / his boss are probably not making bank off these groupon deals. But the least he could have done is called me right away when he saw an issue and decided he had to charge more. Otherwise guess what, it's called freaking bait & switch. To add a little more detail, when he showed up, I offered him $10 cash to also steam clean 3 area rugs. Since he now wanted $70 I just paid him $70 all in and he did go ahead and cleaned those rugs. BTW - the apt was completely empty and we had vacuumed before he got there - so actually I'd say it should have been one of his easier jobs! Overall I'm pretty much ok with $70 for the job including my rugs. Otherwise I would have made it an issue and not pay him. But I think the company as a whole should be more up front and not have their guys jack up the price at the last minute without giving the customer a heads-up. And yeah I don't think it's a good idea to be offering these $49 groupon deals if you can't turn a profit AND feed your guys. Oh yea one more thing - he tried to use my laundry hose bib for his water hookup and for whatever reason could not (well I know the reason..IT DIDN'T FIT!). He ended up using the toilet and left a puddle of water plus dirt stains all over toilet for me to clean up. Also he didn't screw the washer hose back on tight and kept the cold water bib turned OFF. So for a hot minute (well, cold..) I thought my washing machine was broken. Then when I turned on the cold water it went everywhere and I thought he broke the hose lol. NICE! Shoot.. why am I giving 2 stars and not 1 again? =O [edit] I actually changed my rating from 2 stars to 3. I think I would pay $70 again for this type of cleaning (but I'll probably go with someone else next time). This was steam clean using water ONLY - no chemicals or shampoo at all. So carpet still had some minor stains but I was ok with it for the price. Just did not like the bait and switch at all. And the mess left behind for me to clean up. read more

I called and asked about the Groupon deal for $49 for up to 1,000 sq. feet, I explained I live on the 3rd story and I asked if there would be any issues or extra charge with that, I was told it wouldn't be a problem at all. My appointment was set up for 3pm-5pm and he calls me at 8:30 AM to see if he can come within the next hour because he had cancellations, I explain I cannot accommodate that time. Talen gets to my apartment around 3:20 and right away starts complaining about me being on the third floor and how he charges $25 extra for each floor, so he's basically saying I need to pay $50 extra just because I'm on the 3rd floor. I tell him that I asked if it was going to be an issue when I called to book the appointment and I was told it was no problem and no extra charge. He says he won't charge me "this time" only because I saved him some money by not purchasing on Groupon (groupon collects some interest on all purchases) He then tries to up sell me to the $150 steam cleaning because he says the steam clean deal I saw on Groupon is only for steam clean, and it does not include shampoo. I let him know that I am not going to pay $150 for shampoo and I also tell him I saw a lot of people complain about the up selling when u arrive to the house and he kind of laughs and says ok, we can do it for $99, at this point I was okay with paying the $99 and he started to set up. He shampoos and steam cleans my entire 3 room and hallway apartment in 20 minutes! I felt it was very rushed, he was trying to get out of there and as he was steam cleaning he was banging into all my furniture! It took about 24 hours for the carpet to dry completely, I don't notice a huge difference compared to using a bissel steam cleaner but it does feel a bit cleaner and looks a bit brighter. I do not smell the fresh scent some people mentioned in other reviews. I get a call the next day from Darko and he was extremely professional and nice, he was following up with me about my experience with the services. I explain the whole situation to him and he is very apologetic and says he will make sure his doesn't happen again. I set up an appointment with Tale over the phone and was told that I cannot avail the yelp promo of $69 for $179 service because my carpet needs deep cleaning. And since the price that was given to me was about 30-50 dollars cheaper for deep cleaning than the other places (I know it was only thirty - fifty dollars but I thought that the great reviews was a big plus), I picked All Pro. I had an appointment one morning which Tale had forgotten about and he was very apologetic. Although I did travel very early in the morning with my children to meet him at the house for the appointment, I was okay to wait for him for 3 hours. I was just excited to get the carpet cleaned. I must admit that the high traffic areas weren't pretty and that is the reason why I needed professional carpet cleaning and but I should have been told after assessing the place that they would not come off or need more treatment. So after the whole 2nd floor is done, he told me to look and when I told him the high traffic areas were still dark, he told me that they would never come off. I was going to say just don't work on the 1st floor, but he'd already started. The living room also was not better.
