As for our HVAC we have had considerable work done on it over the past year, and at every step Airstream was honest, professional, and transparent with their pricing while respecting our budget and time. After the 2026 winter storm, we found that the system had been taxed significantly and Airstream has worked with us over the past few months to get it back into tip-top shape for the summer heat. Each time the work has been done efficiently and with minimal interference in our daily activities and minimal stress on our our pets. Candace was so kind, helpful, and patient, and made sure all of my questions were answered from the start. The owner even personally called me back to talk things through and answer additional questions, which meant a lot. I was asking for a LOT. Like... can you wire my house for a generator in less than 36 hours before one of the biggest ice storms in decades kind of a lot. And they made it happen. They were at my house the very next day -- early. Caleb and his crew were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. They did an amazing job and walked us through everything step by step, making sure we truly understood how the generator worked and how to use it safely. My husband is a paramedic and has been downtown working since before the storm even began, so knowing I'd be home on my own with my boys added another layer of stress. We take a chance by stopping in Bishop to go to DJs Auto which is open 24 hours. I'm not going to lie, this plot seemed like the intro to a terrible horror movie...This mama to be was nervous but as soon as meeting DJ all worries were swept away. This man is passionate, an OG of his trade, and completely selfless. He told us stories of saving a child who was locked in a trunk near Area 51, DJ was the first on the scene. He's helped people get back onto the road during trying times like ours, and worse! You can tell he loves what he does and helps because he believes in humanity. This sounds nutty but he said it himself "you get into this world what you put out". He didn't even expect a payment for repairing our flat. (Of course we generously tipped). This man is the desert dwelling guardian angel of 395. The light of the end of a tunnel for so many stories that could have turned out so dim. My only regret was not taking a picture of his motorcycle DJ has on his lot that was used in Mad Max. DJ Installed an iron rod cart so that he can take his dog out for a ride too. A highlight of our trip came out of the flat. He deserves your business hands down, You won't be disappointed !
