Overall, I liked this salon. I went to get acrylics put on when the manicurist (who I believe was the owner) informed me that she hadn't done nails in a while, and that the girl who used to do nails, quit recently. Most manicures with acrylics that I get at home take 45 minutes to and hour. Here, it took two and a half hours. Granted, they turned out BEAUTIFUL! Went in today for a gel manicure to relax after two big exams today. A lady, who I believe is the owner, took care of me. I was there for a total of 12 minutes. Not only did she not soak, cut or file my nails, she was extremely rude when I told her I wanted my french tip thinner. Also asked to get my eyebrows waxed, which was followed by an extremely rude remark that she doesn't have time right now. I will never return here for any of their services and will make sure all of my friends know not to go there either. Very dissatisfied, not worth $35 at all. read more

Went in to get a gel manicure, the lady practically ripped my skin off when pushing back my cuticle, filed my nails down shorter than they have ever been in my life, didn't even ask my length preference. She then didn't even do a top coat on my left hand, which I unfortunately didn't notice until I got home. It's been less than 24 hours since I got them done and already my whole thumb has come off and I have four nails chipped. Normally my gels last a month even longer. I purchased a groupon for a cut, deep conditioning, and blow out. Since I was beyond satisfied, I'm leaving a yelp review to encourage others to visit this salon. My stylist was Angie. She was great, and most important listened to what I wanted with my hair. I have very long hair which will be donated to charity in a year. I was informed ahead of time that there would be an extra fee for very long hair - which is absolutely fine considering all the work and time she spent on my hair (nearly 2 hours!). Angie gave me long layers, keeping as much length as possible as I requested. She was also very helpful with advice on products and techniques for my hair care. Do not get a haircut here. I am usually pretty easy going and won't complain but this is just not acceptable. What the stylist thought would look nice on me is not what I wanted, and totally outdated. I told her I wanted long layers in my hair that I'm trying to grow out. I also told her the shortest layer MUST fit into a ponytail. She hacked away at my hair leaving me with short pieces in the front that constantly fall into my face. "Face framing" layers that look like a 90s haircut are NOT ok. Will never go back. read more

Love these ladies. Barbara has done my waxing and nails for years. While I no longer live in Delaware if ever I have a special occasion at home then I go to her. These ladies did my wedding and they were wonderful. Angie did my hair and it was perfect! warning: do NOT go here to get your eyebrows done. I asked for a simple clean up & the same shape. Not only did she take a ridiculous amount off my eyebrows--she made them uneven as well & even told me they were uneven and gave me only a dollar off. I can't believe I even tipped this woman after waxing off months of me letting my eyebrows grow out. My roommate & I went together & her eyebrows are ridiculously thin as well. Unless you wanna be forced to fill in your eyebrows for the next month, do NOT go here to get your eyebrows done. read more

I went here a while ago to tan, and it was amazing so I decided to go back to get a gel manicure. The owner is rude and always says she never has time and she charged me $40 for a gel manicure that lasted 2 days. She filed my nails so thin they all broke. They also don't soak your nails or do lotion or anything. Great tanning salon, HORRIBLE nail salon. i'm convinced they have no training to do nails at all. Never going back here read more

I didn't have the greatest experience at this salon. I went in for a basic manicure- and I was there 12:30-2:15pm. A basic manicure should not take more than 30-45 min. It was overbooked and the workers kept getting up to run the tanning beds and answer the phone. My nails began chipping the next day, and I even have one finger that is completely infected. I'm not sure if the tools weren't sanitized or what. If it was less crowded I would've enjoyed my experience more, however; I felt like I wasn't attended to for more than 5 minutes at a time and the results were poor. read more

I had a groupon for a gel manicure, so I called to make an appointment and got in on the day I wanted. I've had gel manicures before and I can usually go every 3 weeks. I got my nails done on Friday, and by Monday they were chipping and breaking. It's been one week and half my nails have either broken or chipped. The lady doing my nails also got a lot of nail polish under my thumb nail and didn't bother to remove it. Most of my nails were not entirely covered with polish and my pinkies and thumbs the polish dried weird. This was not really a deal for what I paid, a regular manicure usually lasts a week. Not a place I would recommend or go back to, even with the coupons I was given. read more

Today was my first time going here, and going to a real hair place in my entire life. I loved every moment of my experience. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. I had Jess as my stylist and she was more than understanding of exactly what I wanted. I went here out of convenience during college to get a gel mani/pedi. The receptionist was very nice and I was taken back to their pedicure chairs quickly. The chairs is where the whole experience starts going downhill. They had plastic inserts where your feet go that they had to fill at a sink somewhere in the back, so I had no idea what they were putting into the water. The nail technician (I forget her name) would not stop talking not only to me, but would stop working on my nails to talk to her coworkers or answer the phone. The pedicure, that should take no more than 25 minutes took about 45. The paint turned out fine on the toes. The manicure area was absolutely filthy with nail residue, paint, etc covering the table. The tools were not a fresh set and I don't even think they're sanitized. The manicure took close to an hour because the lady would not stop talking. She even talked to me about the "predators" and crime that happens just outside of campus... no thanks, I'm a student at the university and don't want to hear that. The gel peeled about 5 days later and a pretty painful bump still exists on my nail bed (I'm thinking from the un-sanitized tools). I don't recommend unless everywhere else is booked, you'll end up being there for 2+ hours read more

I came in for a haircut last week after being told on the phone it would be $40 which was within my budget and not only was I charged $50 plus tip, I am incredibly disappointed with my haircut. In the salon, it looked fine. But once the blowout wore off I noticed that half of my head was choppy layers and the other half was all one length. I have waited a few days to see if it would naturally fall into place but it honestly just gets worse every day. To fix it now, I would need to get a bob because some of the layers are that short, and I told my stylist repeatedly that I wanted to keep it long. I need to be able to put my hair into a ponytail for my job, and so now I cannot even fix this and I am stuck wearing headbands and half-up every day so people don't notice my haircut. There are only layers on half of my head. I am not expecting anything to come out of this, however I wanted to express my unhappiness in hopes that future clients will not experience this. read more
