After shopping around all the best rated smog shops on Yelp in Oxnard and Ventura, All Star Smog had the best prices. $40 each for my mini and Honda Fit. Other places were quoting $50 to $75. When it comes to this service I want the cheapest possible, it's not like it's something I need to spend more money on. The gentleman that's always there is very friendly, and always has chocolate for his guests. The waiting room is comfortable with all the new magazines and he plays tv for us. I came here to get a last minute smog. Waited a long time. He told me I passed smog then 5 minutes later he said it didn't.... He told me I needed to drive it 100 miles and then bring it back in order for him to pass me??!!!! 100 miles that means I have to drive it to LA and back or drive for a few weeks??? I needed my certification ASAP!!! I didn't have time to do all this?? I ended up spending more money because I went somewhere else where my car DID pass!!! Waste of time/ money!!! read more

Great place to get your smog check. Gentleman said it would take about 15 minutes to get done and everything including payment took no more than 20 min tops. Guy asked me how much he quoted me on the phone ( I think he remembered talking to me a few days before) and billed me for $40 flat no questions asked. Guy was very nice. read more

No one is held to a higher standard in the Yelp-era than mechanics and these guys get it. Took my car in for a smog, thinking it was the brake shop that he shares a lot with. The brake shop had $19 smog with check in, so when I walked in to redeem, the owner made sure I was aware that they were not STAR certified, which is why they can do it so cheap. He had me in and out in 15 minutes and gave me a nice discount. Very efficient and very friendly. Comfortable couch to sit on while you wait but it's very cold. I decided to get my car smogged at All Star because of all of the wonderful reviews. The service was quick and reasonably priced with exceptional customer service. Coming here was fast and painless, so I recommend All Star Smog USA if you want an efficient, no-frills smog check experience. The price was competitive, and Abbas, who performed the smog check, was polite. Just make sure you have your DMV registration notice that lists the smog check requirement and your payment ready. I paid via cash, but they accept Visa and MasterCard. There is a small, air-conditioned waiting area with one small 2-person couch, a coffee table with magazines, and 3-4 chairs, so you should probably make plans to be elsewhere if you choose to leave your car in the queue in the event there's a long line of customers ahead of you. The shop waiting is clutter, unsanatized. l notice he increased my smog fee just for a retest. Most smog shops re test are free. Please avoid coming here because he not willing to pay for extra staff and is randomly rude to customers and ect. Since he been in bussinees for many years he has a large amount clients. Unfornately, he dosn't need to be nice to every customer he already has enough customers. There is a smog shop on saviers rd. and close to dominos pizza.
