I admit back in December I came to get an oil change, filter change, tire rotation and wheel alignment done and I honestly wasn't paying attention to how much each service was but walked out paying $300. So I called around for estimates on an oil change and tire rotation. I had even set an appointment for Mountain View Tire. As my appointment date got closer I got nervous as I read the reviews on Mountain View and decided to jump ship. I called BBT and asked for a quote and told the rep that my last visit was $300. He looked me up in the system and explained to me the break down of that service and that it was the wheel alignment charge not the tire rotation since that is free; that made my service bill a little high. He quoted me the price for an oil change on my SUV and said the tire rotation was fee. He scheduled me an appointment for Saturday. I walked in for my appointment and was helped immediately. I waited for my SUV to be done and the Jonathan gave me a discount for having to wait a bit longer than expected. I was really impressed by that because I wasn't expecting a discount but I really appreciate the excellent service and value of my time. I won't go to another place to get my oil change and tire rotation. I have always drove off knowing service is done correctly to my SUV. read more

Wow, wow, wow! I got a flat and was on my way to Costco and decided to see if they could help. Well they dont service Pirelli tires so I called Big Brands and they told me to head over. It's a popular place so when I got there they were crowded but super nice! I told them I would come back after they took a look at the tire and said it shouldn't be a problem to fix it! Lo and behold they not only fixed it - but they didn't even charge me!!! Great place - I will be back when I need a new set of tires! Super friendly too!!!! read more

I went with the Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws, and the entire process was smooth and professional. Harrison took great care of my truck and was super helpful throughout. I highly recommend making an appointment online for the morning to be the first one in line. This place gets busy, and they'll give you an estimated time for your service. Experienced a very rude employee in the shop area. I was instructed to park my truck in front of a bay. The bay had a car a mechanic was working on. I left my car and was looking at my new tires when this mechanic laid on the horn for me to move my truck, probably 20 seconds. Did it a couple times. I thought she was working on the horn! Turns out she wanted me to move my truck. Finally she verbally asked to move my truck. I informed the manager of this rudeness and also called corporate to complain. The individual I talked to guaranteed I would get a call back from the Regional manager. I never received a call back. They quickly got my car in, inspected the tire, fixed a hole on the tread and sent me on my way, ALL FOR FREE! Seriously, they didn't charge me at all. I didnt even get my tires from them originally. My recent service experience at Big Brand Tires located at 531 Ventura Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036 was extremely disappointing. I scheduled an appointment for a tire rotation and to have my vehicle's fluid levels checked. The appointment was specifically set as a drop-off any time before 2:00 PM, which I arranged because I was attending church that morning. My husband kindly attempted to drop off the vehicle around 12:30 PM, but returned home upset after being informed that Big Brand Tires had changed our appointment to an earlier morning time without notifying us. Because we did not appear for the unapproved time change, they stated the appointment had been canceled and initially refused service. I then drove to the location myself at Big Brand Tires, 531 Ventura Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036, where staff attempted to dismiss the situation by stating they were too busy and that a tire rotation was "not important." I had to explain that I commute over 45 minutes each way for work daily and that we had recently taken the vehicle on a trip to Las Vegas. Tire rotations are important for vehicle safety and maintenance, especially under those driving conditions. At no point did I receive a text message, phone call, or email notifying me that my appointment had been changed or canceled. After considerable frustration, they reluctantly agreed to service the vehicle and completed the tire rotation, but they did not perform the additional checks that were originally scheduled. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere for service. read more

I had thee best service at this location. Harrison and the guys really went above and beyond for me. On Saturday I went in just to get some air in my tire (my warning light came on in my car). They were about to close in 1 hour. Told Harrison that I needed some air and to make an appointment for the next day. He told me that they could possibly fix my tire that day and that it would be free!! He talked to the guys and they squeezed me in. They found a screw in my tire, repaired it for free and got me on my way. I will 100% be getting my tires and other services with them going forward. Absolutely amazing experience today on Labor Day of all days. Was visiting town from Las Vegas when my car mysteriously leaked all of the coolant we had outside of a Starbucks on the start of our roadtrip home. After self inspecting and deciding to try and take it to a mechanic despite the holiday we found this Big Brand, and since we really needed to get home tonight we hoped for the best. Called ahead and let them know what the issue was and they told us to come in and they would check it out right away for us. Got in at 12:00 on the dot. I let them know that I was desperate to get home and that I was willing to pay for that luxury. However the whole time Anthony let me know they wouldn't charge me until they have a diagnosis and would ensure that they would let me know if my car was safe to travel the whole trip home. After multiple tests and talking us through the process of them trying to figure out what happened they let us know that we were safe and they couldn't find anything and we were paid and out the door by 12:53. Only $30 for the inspection when I was ready to be taken advantage of as a set of women who were desperate to get home under any circumstances was a HUGE relief and gave us a lot of confidence to travel home. A giant thank you to Anthony and whomever else in this locations shop helped check out our car and took care of us! You were all incredibly kind, patient, and efficient! Courteous, clear and efficient, Mr. Johnston identified the problem (which had been independently confirmed by Honda of Oxnard) and presented me with the options available. I purchased four new tires and an alignment here, and within a short time I noticed the tires were wearing down way too quickly. I brought the car back, and even though the service advisor Johnathan admitted the wear looked abnormal, he told me it wasn't "bad enough" for an exchange or factory/warrantee return yet. They had to be at 2/34 - all of them, but only a few were. He advised me to drive another 5,000 miles and come back. When I did, they told me one tire was now too damaged to be covered--and blamed it on a bad alignment. And since the one tire was too damaged, NONE could be returned or exchanged under the warrantee. (Wtf??) At that point, I simply asked to buy a new tire and get the alignment corrected. Instead of standing behind their work, the best they could offer was $50 off... while charging me $60 more than I originally paid for the same tire due to "inflation." They wouldn't even price match. They sold me an alignment that didn't hold, refused to honor their own bad recommendation, and asked me to pay more for another alignment and a tire with a new "inflation" price that negated any discount. Really disappointing customer service. Go ANYWHERE else. Update: I forgot to mention that he tried to sell me all 4 new tires and when I pushed back on the "inflation price" he asked me "what did you expect? A tire for free?" read more
