I can't believe it, it's my own fault. I've read reviews where folks said "I wish I could give zero stars," In this case I wish I could give negative stars. About a year ago I took my vehicle here for a simple oil change. It took way longer than the "in a jiffy" banner said and the name suggests. The next morning I found oil drips on my garage floor. After checking the oil level I took the vehicle back. The explanation was a cross piece that some old oil had dripped on. They resolved the problem and gave me some oil clean up pads. Fast forward to now. Like a fool, I go back with the same vehicle for another simple change. I pulled right up to an empty bay. A fellow comes over and writes me up for an oil change. I explained the problem I had last time. and what the resolve was. I was assured that would not happen this time. Yeah, about that. So here it is over an hour later, they finally pulled my vehicle out and it sits, hood up as I continue to sit, waiting for someone, anyone, to let me pay and get out of there. Finally, I went over to the fellow who wrote me up and asked if I could pay and go. "Yeah, I'll be right with you, so I can show you the oil is clean and filled" Another ten minutes goes by, as I stand there by the vehicle. Finally, here he comes. OK, I see the dip stick with the clean oil, now I go to pay... $135 for a small four cylinder engine oil change? The dealer doesn't charge that much. Fine, just let me the $@$* outta here. And guess what I find in the morning... go on guess... I'll wait. OIL DRIPS on the garage floor. I really do not like to write negative reviews but. Never, never, ever, not ever never again. I've not had a worse automotive experience anywhere... "In a Jiffy" I don't blame them as much as I blame myself., I knew this place was not a smart choice. Have had a LOT of scam issues with this site regarding our fleet vehicles. We use Holman as a third party biller that requires approval for service. Techs bring their vehicles and trucks in for VERY specific service and the manager routinely tries to sneak in extra services. This causes delays for my techs as they have to wait on service they didn't plan for as well as Jiffy Lube trying to go back and forth behind the scenes sneaking not needed service through Holman. read more

Truthfully just a bad experience. 1 and a half hour wait before we could even tell someone what we wanted to do. Tech was in and out for about every question we asked. Another 2 hours for the work to actually get done. I wasn't the only one waiting some lady with an Enterprise rental waited 2 hours for a tire to be patched. Sent two guys to drop off one of our work trucks for an oil change. They waited for close to 40 minutes with no assistance. The guy in office was on the phone the whole time. I had Oil and Filter service plus air filter replacement services done At Oxnard 5th Street shop. They were helpful in getting the car into service. They check the car completely in multi points inspection. They try to help you to save money. They tell you if something needs to be repaired or taken care of. They told me they would follow up with a couple of repairs for my cross car. Such as the price and length of service, but they never did. My car is 9 years old. And there's wear and tear in my car. The payment for my service was reasonable and quick. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you Jiffy Lube! It beats the dealer regular service prices and time taken! Super frustrating experience today. In the past, the technicians would check you in, and give you an estimated time to come back, so you could go do something else. Today no one would check us in. Like they acknowledged our existence but said they couldn't check us in until they had an open bay. So we waited around for 30 minutes and finally they pulled the car in the bay. Still didn't check us in - like multiple guys walking back and forth, chilling. After another 10 minutes I asked them to back my car out so I could go. I understand it's a busy day, but there's gotta be a better way. read more

I have to say, I normally don't do any reviews. Although I should, I will start here. My experience with jiffy lube (esplanade location) is review worthy. Upon arrival I was greeted by Chris (manager) I explained my reason for the visit (oil change) and he proceeded to help me with such Waze and reassurance. While I waited I got to explore the neighboring stores. Once my service was done Chris walked me through everything that was done to my vehicle. I was even offered a $20 GC for purchasing the oil service. I also got to use a coupon for my service today and after all that it was a really good discounted price. I will be back here for sure.
