The garage dorr came down on the rear door, one of the door hinges hooked on the van door, reversed and came off its track and shifted out of position. I was able to get the roller back on the door, but couldn't straighten out the door. Dave came out the same day I called, and he had to dthe cable on one side of the door. He gives free estimates. I had opened the door, he looks at my opener and says he can't service because it s a commercial opener ( the chain had jumped the sprockets also). It is a Liftmaster - sold for residential use nothing that special. But I say okay just restring the cables. He says $450. I say NO. Ridiculous. I had hand surgery which is why I called for service in the first place but took my time and had the cables re spooled, and the tension set, and the opener chain back on and adjusted in an hour and a half. Never paid more than $200 in the past to have cables rewound and door trued. Maybe this is COVID prices/

Ken (company owner) answered our call the first time we called, gave us a very reasonable quote for labor, came by our house to measure the garage door the next day and had the door installed the day after he measured! He even picked up the door from Menards and took away our old door for no additional cost. His attention to detail was very impressive and he went to great lengths to explain the nuances of the door, opener, sensors, springs, etc. He seemed to genuinely care about our costumer satisfaction and not just getting the job done. Ken's grandson accompanied him on the job. Not really relevant, but it struck me as cool. I highly recommend going to Menards to get your door and have KB install. We got quotes from Lowes, Home Depot, and two local companies and this was BY FAR the cheapest route. Plus, Menards have the doors in stock which is a rarity right now.
