All Star Nails in Ventura makes you feel like a "star"! The service is wonderful and prices are beyond fair. Like the other person said Dana gives the BEST foot massages ever! I love this place. I've been going on and off for 8 years, making sure I visited when I lived in Denver and Long Beach. They opened the place one early Sat. morning in oreder to host all my bridesmaids and helped my wedding weekend even more special and fun. The ladies there are like family, they ask about my husband and baby daughter and are always happy to see me, even remembering me if it's been a year since I'd been there. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the front sign on the street needs to be replaced so it makes the place a bit hard to find. Otherwise I have visited TONS of nail salons, yet this is the only one I felt compelled to write a review for! That being said... the staff is wonderful! They are friendly and give great service. I took my daughter there for her birthday (she's 11), we both got mani/pedi's. Soo nice to sit, relax and not get bombarded by the upsale! Got a gel mani (30) and regular pedi (25)- $55! What?! I think the last place bamboozled me out of $85. Suffice to say the place is smaller than some of the giant nail salons but you get what you pay for and most of the time you are paying for their overhead. read more

I saw Nicole for acrylic nails and she did an amazing job!! I have also seen her for gel manicures as well. She is also very sweet and I came to find out that basically all of my friends that live in Ventura go to see her for their nails. The only downside is that they only take cash, but the day I went in I didn't have any cash and they were so sweet they let me wait until after my nails were done then trusted me to go to the atm and come back, what sweet people. Also it seems like a a place that "regulars" go, they know people by name and they make even new comers feel very welcome. read more

All Star Nails in Ventura is absolutely wonderful! I typically don't post reviews, i tend to just read them, but i had to give this place a 5 star review because they absolutely 100% deserve it! Dana is soooo sweet and she does an amazing job! She seriously massaged my feet and legs for a half an hour, which i've never experienced before at a nail salon! She even gave me a hug before i left the salon. :) I am definitely coming back to this place each and every month for my pedicure! Cash or check only. I think they want to do a good job (two stars for friendliness, but everything else is screaming run away). The woman cut my toenail so short I was bleeding and in pain within the first two minutes of her starting work. Massage included her long nails being dug into me intermittenly, not sure if that was a new technique im not privy to, but that was also painful. Precision/quality with polish was significantly worse than when I do it myself. I also have concerns about the cleanliness. I'd pay $5 more to not have that experience again. Let me begin by telling you the place is clean and the staff and owners are so friendly. They remember their clients name which gives this little gem more sparkle. I am not big on getting my nails done but love getting pedicures and hands down they are the best in town. They never rush and you feel as if you where in a high end salon with the pampering that is included with all services. This is my very favorite nail shop! I haven't gone anywhere else since discovering this place. The employees are very, very nice, and they remember us! They have these wonderful massage chairs that you can control by yourself, to your level of comfort. Nice warm whirlpool water - and they scrub not only your feet but your calves as well. They file down any callouses too. If you are having a manicure, they also rub cream up your arms to the elbows. They do an excellent pedicure, making sure that the nails are symmetrical and clean with no cuticles hanging, and for fingernails, they do the same and will buff them without using nail polish if you prefer. They use regular polish or gel polish, depending on your preference. I am VERY pleased with All Star Nails! read more

This was the worst experience i have ever had in a nail salon. First the woman doing my pedicure spoke no English. Didnt even understand when i said Ouch. And she seemed to not really know what she was doing. She sat me down and started taking off my toenail polish. She stopped abruptly when the woman next to me got up to leave and just wiped the bowl out with the towel the womans feet were on and then wiped the arms of the chairs off with it. No sanitation solution nothing. Then she proceeded with me cutting my nails and filing them she used the pumice stone on my heel. I asked if she would do the caluses on my big toe she shook her head and then began massaging my right foot and leg she stopped after about a minute, got a tool i have litterally NEVER seen in a nail salon a tool with a little razor on it and began slicing skin off my toe. I stopped her as the skin felt sensitive and looked at my foot she had just unevenly sliced the skin off my toe until it was tender pink skin underneath. I got upset and was asking what she was doing. Another manicurist named Nicole had to jump in and said that she was just trying to smooth it down. She told the woman doing my pedicure not to use the tool on my other foot. So she then used the pumice on my other calus very guickly, didnt even smooth it down at all. I asked if she could try to smooth it out more and she didnt understand me. She then painted my toes and when it came time to pay I approached Nicole and tried to pay but told her I was extremely unhappy. She took the money then another woman that worked there asked what the problem was i then showed her and she said she wouldnt take my money after that. My big toe is so tender and looks HORRIBLE. Be CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE. I dont think they follow health code what so ever. read more

The prices were so reasonable, staff friendly, they were quick but not too quick. I got a Gel manicure and regular pedicure for 52 dollars without tip which in Santa Barbara can be twice that. The buildings they are near are in less that perfect condition but they have nice chairs and a good selection of polish. I would definitely come back! Thank you! read more

It was my first visit and, as a walk-in, I was warmly greeted by all and happy to find there was no wait time as Kim was in between appointments and had time to squeeze me in. The girls there were very helpful and friendly. They did an great job on both my finger and toenails. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a great mani and pedi.
